Description
A
So
welcome
to
the
node.js
community
technical
steering
committee
meeting
for
June
26
2009
teen
will
follow
our
standard
agenda
so
to
start
with,
though,
started.
Does
anybody
have
any
announcements
or
other
things
that
they'd
like
to
share
before
we
go
through
the
issues
that
were
tied
for
the
agenda.
A
Okay,
if
there's
no
announcements,
we'll
move
into
the
issues
typed
on
the
agenda,
the
first
one
is
under
node.js,
slash,
note
number
24
347,
which
is
make
HTTP
compact
match
81
and
it
totally
couldn't
make
the
meeting.
But
he
did
post
an
update
on
the
issue
that
he's
working
to
restore
his
Express
test
environment
so
that
he
in
dala
date
that
you
know
the
issues
he
thought
he
saw
before
either
do
or
don't
occur.
So
that's
kind
of
the
next
step.
That's
happening
on
that
front,
any
other
discussion
or
questions
that
people
have
on
that.
A
A
Okay,
so
moving
on
to
the
next
issue,
which
is
under
no
GS
release,
this
is
3:41
development,
kit
and
deployment
kit
releases.
I
guess
I
opened
this
quite
a
long
time
ago.
So
this
is
a
bit
of
an
old
issue.
My
motivation
in
opening
this
in
the
first
place,
was
to
explore
potential
options.
That
might
let
us
bundle
more
into
one
of
the
two
binaries
that
we
had
for
nodejs,
while
keeping
one
that
was
small
and
minimal
for
people
who
you
know
cared
about
footprints
in
terms
of
disk
space
or
download
footprint
and
I.
A
A
There
was
some
recent
discussion
of
the
concept.
I
think
you
know
at
some
point,
we've
referred
it
to
the
to
the
release.
Working
group
to
comment
sounds
like
they
discussed
it
in
the
last
meeting
and
basically
said
you
know
it's
it's
something
they
would
entertain
and
could
do
with
the
rest
of
the
project
thought
it
was
useful,
but
kind
of
kicked
it
back
to
the
TSC
core
decision.
There
has
been
some
more
discretion
in
the
issue.
A
In
terms
of
you
know,
a
lot
certainly
commented
that,
in
terms
of
you
know,
build
and
load
on
the
build
team
and
our
infrastructure,
it's
not
necessarily
a
good
thing
to
add
in
more
things
to
be
building
or
distributing
and
Sam.
It
also
suggested
that
you
know
it's:
why
couldn't
people
just
strip
ed
stuff
themselves
as
well,
I
think
in
terms
of
the
stripping
out
that
doesn't
really
work
if
you're
worried
about
download
size,
you
know
in
terms
of
when
you're
pulling
it
or
possibly
even
disk
size.
A
You
know
I
think
you
have
to
be
pretty
careful
in
terms
of
building
docker
images
and
stuff
that,
even
if
you
strip
it
out
afterwards,
you
might
run
into
trouble,
but
I
could
certainly
see
on
our
side
if
we
stripped
it
out
beforehand.
That's
one
way
to
build
a
second
binary,
but
so
that's
the
context
that
I
have
and
I
think
it's
sort
of
back
to
us.
If
we
want
to
move
forward,
you
know
we
need
we'll
need
somebody
who
you
think
will
have
to
agree.
We
think
it's
a
good
idea.
C
A
Don't
know
it
wasn't
I,
don't
think
anybody's
really
looked
in
terms
of
making
like
a
very,
very
small
thing
in
getting
into
like
the
real
stripped
down.
Was
you
know
things
like
you
know,
potentially
npm
or
other
things
which
now
actually
that's
not
even
one
that
I
had
in
mind
I
by
you,
know,
I
think
what
you
want
is
maybe
ambient
post
anyway.
You
know
what
I
had
in
mind
is
just
what
you
need
to
run
node
in
production
as
opposed
to
development,
installation
all
that
kind
of
stuff.
A
A
A
Right
so
so
I
think
in
part
of
the
other
context
was
like.
We
were
talking
about
things
like
full,
full
ICU
and
that
you
know
there
were
some
things
we
would
like
to
add.
If
space
was
in
the
size,
there
would
be
some
things
it
would
be
nice
to
add.
So
it's
not
completely
about
stripping
down.
Oh
it's!
It's!
You
know
where
I
was
coming
from
this
like
today.
A
Adding
something
new
is
very
it's
very
difficult
because,
like
the
the
whole
ICU
data
because
it
expands
besides
and
for
those
people
who
really
care
about
size,
you
know
we
get
complaints,
because
it's
obviously
gonna
make
it
bigger
right,
and
my
thought
was.
If
you
had
the
two
options,
it's
like
the
people
who
really
care
about
size.
You
can
go
for
the
smallest,
the
smallest
one.
They
have
the
one
which
is
gonna,
be
small,
and
then,
if
you
want
the
extra
tooling
and
or
things
like
I
see,
you
got
the
bigger
one.
That.
D
Would
make
sense
because,
because
let's
go
to
make
sense
about
what
I
want
to
point
out
is
that
the
Crichton
binary
is
probably
almost
as
small
as
we
could
get
in
their
current
situation,
because
I.
Don't
think
that
if
you
achieve
that,
if
we
do
I'd
legend
to
a
larger
distribution
and
a
smooth
distribution,
the
smaller
one
is
going
to
be
singing
clean
smaller
than
the
current
one.
But
that's.
A
E
A
D
Second
question:
if
the
current
distribution
is
almost
as
small
as
we
can
get
for
the
production
one,
then
what
could
be
a
judge
for
the
development,
one
that
we
don't
have
it
now,
except
for
OSU,
because
I
don't
think
that
just
edging
food-wise?
You
is
enough
to
maybe
they'll
change,
because
the
talks
now
sure.
A
D
My
destination
needed
edge-
we
probably
I,
want
to
be
able
to
get
its
notes
to
this
mode
without
I
didn't
even
intend.
This
is
just
vicious
something
that
it's
probably
out
of
the
scope
for
this
question
and
and
then
companies
still
be
needed
for
the
production
loop,
because
people
use
that,
and
they
this
group
they're
not
much
that
we
could
I'd
to
the
nerve
and
build
to
good
reason
for
this
split.
So
yeah.
A
I,
don't
have
a
like
honest
back
back
then
that
was
part
of
the
motivation.
I
think
it's
good
to
have
an
option,
but
given
that
we
don't
have
anything
on
the
list,
but
I
would
agree
like
I
haven't
been
pushing
this
actively
lately,
I
still
think
it's
a
good
idea.
You
know
it's
a
good
split
to
have,
but
without
some
calm
you
know
some
tangible
things
that
we
would
say
we
want
to
have
these
I
to
agree
this
not
something
we
should
rush
into
or
or
do
tomorrow.
A
A
Okay,
so
let's
move
on
to
the
next
item
on
the
agenda,
which
is
I,
guess
again
an
FYI
nominating
Beth.
This
one
was
a
bit
late
for
her
in
her
time
timezone,
but
not
here,
but
basically
the
denomination
is
open.
You
can
come
up
there
and,
as
per
our
standard
practice,
we've
invited
her
to
a
number
of
meetings.
Before
we
do
the
final
onboarding.
A
You
know
the
requirements
for
for
that
tracking
issue,
for
updating
one
of
the
board
members
or
means
we
don't
currently
have
a
representative
and
we
don't
have
miles
who
could
give
us
an
update
anyway.
The
one
thing
I
will
mention
is
the
issue:
is
the
election
for
the
node
board
representative
is
open.
There's
issues
in
the.
A
So
we
don't
have
I'm,
just
gonna
go
through
an
API,
we're
just
working
out
a
time
to
meet
with
the
Waze
new
team.
As
we
mentioned
before,
we
did
get
a
good
presentation
from
Ali
who's
working
with
one
of
his
interns.
On
that
fee,
an
API
was
sort
of
integration
and
I,
don't
know
anything
else
worth
mentioning
on
that
front.
Oh.
C
There
is
an
issue
sort
of
straddling
an
API
and
the
rest
of
nodejs,
which
is
that
you
need
some.
You
need
some
support
for
some
more
support
for
worker
threads.
In
that
you
know,
we
need
to
take
care
of
all
the
all
the
native
data
associated
with
javascript
objects,
because
it
turns
out
that
the
engine
doesn't
call
any
of
the
weak
callbacks
when
when
it
when
it
gets
shut
down.
C
It's
getting
there,
but
I
I
was
planning
on
moving
out
of
an
API
and
into
the
rest
of
the
engine,
because
we
have
to
sort
of
go
everywhere
where
we
do
that
and,
and
and
and
start
attaching
like
environment,
cleanup
handlers
and
stuff.
So
so
this
is
gonna.
This
is
probably
gonna
go
into
the
built-in
modules
as
well.
This
will
be
interesting.
B
So
there's
a
conversation
about
it.
A
little
bit
now,
spurred
by
Sam
I,
think
I
have
to
talk
to
you.
Michael
I
have
to
talk
to
rod,
I
probably
talked
to
Raphael
and
then
from
there.
Maybe
some
other
people
but
I'm
moving
way
more
slowly
on
this
than
I
wish.
I
was
I,
wish
I
had
more
more
progress
to
report,
but
hopefully
something
soon
and
I'm
really
sorry
about
all
the
delays.
Oh
I.
