►
From YouTube: Node.js User Feedback Initiative Meeting
Description
A
A
Have
a
few
few
surveys
in
flight
and
we've
been
working
with
the
node.js
foundation
team,
Tracy
Lee,
on
how
best
to
execute
on
that
and
and
make
it
repeatable.
You
know
for
a
little
bit
of
context.
You
know
just
foundation
runs
annual
surveys.
When
you
see
you
know
things
like
10
million
users,
it's
grown
one
percent
year
over
year,
yada,
you
know
that's
coming
out
of
the
foundation
survey,
then
you
know.
A
Last
year
the
user
feedback
initiative
helped
the
benchmark
team
were
on
the
survey
that
you
know
is
very
specific
to
the
needs
of
the
benchmarking
working
group
inside
of
the
node.js
project,
and
you
know,
with
that,
we
were
able
to
you
know,
gather
gather
some
some
feedback
for
the
benchmarking
working
group
to
help
them
prioritize.
How
they
are,
you
know,
what's
most
important,
for
you
know
benchmarking
and
in
the
year
and
right
now
we
have
three
three
surveys
that
have
been
requested:
it's
user
feedback.
A
You
know.
First
and
foremost,
we
have
one
on
promises,
and
this
is
helping
the
promises.
Team,
I
think
they're,
not
a
working
group,
the
team
inside
of
the
the
notice
project
helping
them.
You
know
get
the
context
they
need
and
the
data
that
they
need
to
know
its
transform.
Node
was
built,
you
know
ten
years
ago,
almost
before
promises
were
a
plus
and
solidified
and
a
part
of
the
platform
you
know
now
they
are,
you
know
a
standard
part
of
you
know
all
JavaScript
development,
and
so
you
know
it's
it's
time
to
to.
A
A
A
So,
the
last
but
not
least,
we
are
looking
at
a
couple
other
topics
and
prioritizing
them
this
happy.
Do
you
want
to
go
into
some
of
the
some
of
the
the
servers
that
were
evaluating
and
you
know
share
with
us?
You
know
what
you
think.
You
know
as
you're
being
today,
justice
what
you
think
the
time
I
might
be,
and
you
know
ask
for
any
input
that
you
you
think
we
need
to
give
this
to
completion.
A
C
Great
so
yeah
as
Dan
mentioned
promises
is
one
that
we're
trying
to
move
forward
on.
We
met
with
Tracy
Lee
yesterday
and
discuss
that
Greg
Wallace
used
to
assist
in
the
execution
from
the
foundation
side
and
since
its
departure
were
roping
in
Tracy
Lee
and
her
team
to
help
us
execute
on
it.
It's
it's
best
if
the
foundation
kind
of
manages
some
of
those
aspects
for
a
variety
of
reasons,
but
it
also
helps
us
to
to
kind
of
move
it
forward
as
volunteers
here.
So
my
plan
is
to
revive
that
thread.
C
You
know
map
out
what
the
objective
is
and
what
questions
we
want
to
ask
and
how
we
want
to
frame
it
and
yeah.
So
I'll
get
that
moving
along
I'll
try
to
get
that
moving
today
and
then,
in
addition,
I'll
also
pretty
much
follow
the
same
process
for
the
migration
survey
and
my
thinking
with
that
one
is
we
kick
it
off
with
a
kind
of
time
box
survey
like
like
we
would
conventionally
do
with
any
other
survey
initiatives,
but
we
should
evaluate
moving
forward.
C
A
Awesome
awesome-
and
you
know
big
big
thanks
to
you,
know
Tracy
Lee
and
our
team,
for
you
know
stepping
in
and
and
really
you
know,
helping
us
out
and
providing
these
near
the
continuity
for
those
of
us
for
volunteering,
and
you
know,
covering
out
some
of
our
times,
you're
figuring
out
how
we,
you
know,
keep
that
connective
tissue
going.
You
know
well
we're
all
taking
care
of
the
other
things
we
need
to
take
care
of
is
yeah.
A
C
Yeah
and
I'll
echo,
that
sentiment
is
what
excuse
me
as
well
and
just
add
on
that.
Tracy
is
interested
in
helping
us
formalize
this
process
as
well.
So
I
expect
kind
of
some
documentation
on
her
into
you
know,
facilitate
future
initiatives
with
from
a
volunteer
perspective
without
too
much
difficulty,
so
that
I'm
looking
board
that
right.
A
Yeah,
that's
gonna
be
huge
and
hideki
absolutely
slays
it.
You
know.
Taking
that
and
boiling
things
down
to.
You
know
a
simple
repeatable
process.
It's
amazing
agree
cool
all
right.
Well,
you
know
you
know
good
news
and
bad
news.
You
know
after
that
survey,
if
we
look
at
our
agenda
for
today,
we
have
three
other
survey:
requests.
A
You
know
putting
things
into
perspective,
putting
things
in
perspective
you
know
for
for
project
members.
You
know
in
terms
of
how
long
it
takes
to
you
know,
get
a
survey
set
up
and
run
through
it.
It
just
you
know,
for
better
for
worse,
take
a
take
a
bit
as
Joe
mentioned
that
it's
it's
been.
You
know
several
months
since
we
got
the
request
for
the
the
the
promises
survey.
You
know
benchmarking.
A
Benchmarking
was
actually
the
impetus
for
the
creation
of
this,
and-
and
it
was
several
months
there-
so
you
know
stronger
typing
is
is
definitely
you
know
farther
out
and
the
individual
membership
survey.
You
know
that
too
it's
it's
gonna
be
a
moment
before
we
we
were
able
to
get
to
that,
but
hopefully,
with
this
process
that
we're
collaborating
with
the
foundation
on
will
be
able
to
sort
of
kick
that
off.
You
know
check
off
whether
we
have
the
the
the
gating
challenge
tends
to
be.
A
When
we
have,
we
have
to
build
the
questions
right,
building,
building
and
refining.
You
know
a
full
list
of
survey
questions
and
you
know
making
that
make
sense.
You
know.
Is
this
challenging
and
then
you
know
my
goodness
they're
you
know.
If
you
really
want
to
refine
that
and
make
you
know
kind
of
a
year-over-year
statistical,
valid
survey,
then
you
know
that's
kind
of
another
level
above
that,
so
it's
gonna
take
us
a
moment
to
get
to
those.
A
So
you
know,
let's,
let's
check
in
on
our
you
know
other
two
major
threads.
You
know
this
week
is
my
first
week
the
full
week.
It's
been
two
weeks
now
in
total,
but
you
know
first,
first,
full
weeks
at
PayPal
I
know
we're
heading
into
a
a
code
freeze.
So
now
kinda
I,
don't
know.
If
you're
able
to
join
us
love
to
have
the
discussion
with
you
around
the
enterprise.
A
A
A
A
D
A
A
A
A
A
A
That
they
run
a
meeting
on
the
half
hour,
I
may
have
to
get
the
get.
The
calm
calm
account
from
Adam
to
run
that,
but
I
think
we're
we're
at
a
point
where
we
can
run
multiple
meetings
at
at
the
same
time
and
I'll
just
need
to
sort
that
out
it's
that
time
works
out.
I'll
figure
out
the
details.
How
is
that.
A
A
A
A
D
A
Okay,
now
February
it
seems
you
know
reasonable
timeline.
Yeah,
you
know
in
general.
If
you
really
want
to
draw
in
attendance,
you
know
in
ninety
days.
Is
you
know
if
we
want
to
do
a
major
event
and
really,
you
know,
drive
up
tenants.
You
know
90
days
of
promotion.
Is
you
know
kind
of
the
you
know
what
what
I
like
to
do?
You
know
anything
as
you
approach
thirty
days.
You
know
you're
scrambling
and
you're
kind
of
you're
really
pushing
hard
to
amplify
it,
so
that
yeah
that's
something
to
consider
with
that.
A
E
A
E
F
E
A
A
A
A
C
Yeah
I'll
just
pop
in
here
and
get
it
back
on
track
for
at
least
you
know
in
terms
of
the
questions,
I'll
create
a
Google
Doc.
You
know,
that's
that's
one
other
question
I
had
I,
don't
know
how
much
we
are
able
to
make
use
of
Linux
foundation's
node,
I,
don't
even
know
to
what
extent
this
is
set
up,
but
there
seems
to
be
some
sort
of
team
drive
at
the
very
least
for
the
merge
conversations.
A
C
A
A
Yeah
I
honestly
haven't
used,
Team
drive,
so
I,
don't
know
what
the
handoff
is
right.
Is
there
so
an
easy
way
to
say
you
know
like
there
isn't
a
dock
that
okay,
you
know,
I
created
this
space,
but
I'm
gonna,
you
know,
share
ownership
with
other
individuals
or
like
Docs.
If
ownership
is
a
single
point
of
authority,
but
yeah
that
seems
like
a
you
know,
very
sensible
thing,
would
you
mind
creating
an
issue
for
it?
Just
so
we
can
track
it.
Yeah.
A
In
the
you
know,
github
issue,
yeah
and
user
feedback.
No,
you
know
create
a
team
Drive,
for
you
know,
surveys
and
collaboration.
Okay
will
do,
and
then
you
know
that
that
probably
needs
to
be
accessible
only
to
team
members.
I,
don't
know
that
we
want
to
yeah.
That
would
that
would
be
that
provide
the
for
just
a
mechanism
for
sharing
some
things
with
some.
You
know
slightly
sensitive
data
in
it.
Mm-Hmm.
E
A
E
C
When
I
see
it
I
see
it
of
me
in
the
repo
I'm
looking
at
it
now
so.
A
You
know
that
that
should
give
you
a
little
bit
more
perspective
on
some
of
those
questions
there.
The
general
feedback,
you
know
from
the
the
noches
foundation
team
on
surveys
is,
you
know
trying
to
get
you
know
explicit
responses
is
better
than
general
sponses.
They
you
know.
That's
generally,
you
know
the
being
able
to
stack
the
responses
up
in
and
infer
meaning
from
it.
It's
kind
of
how
the
the
magic
of
surveys
work,
and
you
know
for
us.
A
A
C
That's
in
a
month
right
because
I
think
we're
in
our
conversation
with
Tracy,
we
were
gonna
lock
down.
You
know,
try
to
try
to
lock
it
down
in
two
weeks
and
then
move
forward.
So
I
guess
two
weeks
would
be
right
around
Thanksgiving.
So
maybe
we
should
lock
it
down
right
after
Thanksgiving
and
then
you
know
I
guess
start
executing
the
survey
or
do
we
want
to
you
know,
discuss
it
before
we
kind
of
move
forward
with
it.
As
a
group.
A
C
We
have
tell
me
if
you
think
this
is
a
good
idea,
but
we
have
a
public
community
committee
channel
in
the
nodejs
slack
right.
Should
we
create
a
user
feedback
one
in
case
we
want
to
just
you
know,
just
offline
asynchronously
check
in
with
each
other
on
these
sorts
of
conversations
or
let.
A
A
A
A
E
D
It's
an
opportunity
again.
My
point
before
was
any
questions
we
asked
to
folks
in
the
enterprise
to
help
us
should
become
should
be
coming
with
some
actionable
tasks
for
them
beyond.
Just
you
know,
asking
questions
and
like
just
to
example,
because
I
give
an
example
of
that
is:
are
we
able
to
give
them
something
to
run
within
their
own
infrastructure,
to
provide
us
with
beta
other
than
opinions.
F
A
Man
is
it
that
way,
so
that
was
the
sort
of
most
straightforward
way
for
us
to
to
do
that,
and
you
know
we
didn't
mean
to
be
gated
by
anybody.
It's
not
you
know
necessarily
Foundation
specific
and
if
we're
creating
open
channels
of
communication,
you
know,
then
you
know
it's
in
line
with
the
expectations
of
the
project.
Does.
A
A
D
I
mean
I
might
be
overthinking
it,
but
just
there
in
the
context
of
if
you're
asking
for
specific
information
about,
let's
say
the
usage
of
promises
and
your
code
bases
mr.
or
mrs.
Enterprises
representative,
are
they
gonna
feel
comfortable
sharing
that
information,
knowing
that
it's
not
gonna,
be
shared
publicly
to
them
right.
A
I
mean
but
like
once,
you
put
that
down
on
in
an
email
like
that
risk
kind
of
exists
right,
yeah,
I'm,
not
you
know,
I
think
we
should
get
feedback
on.
You
know
what
level
of
privacy
folks
want.
Yeah.
Of
course
you
could
be
the
you
know
the
point
of
contact
on
that
and
just
you
know,
route
it
through.
A
Especially
especial
once
we
have
an
established
strong
contingent,
I
agree
right.
We
still,
you
know,
don't
a
hundred
percent
no
like,
but
if
we
can
say
you
know,
there's
tell
us
is
PayPal.
There's
you
know
MasterCard
and
you
know,
Intel
are
you
know,
collaborating
there.
I
would
expect.
You
know
the
foundation.
Be
remaining
proof
is
knowing
this
more
great
right
great.
Well,
you
know
that
brings
me
to
the
end
of
the
agenda.
I
need
to
downtown
to
the
spiffy
community
today
anyway.
