From YouTube: Node.js Website Redesign Initiative Meeting - 2018-03-15
Description
A
D
A
A
B
Can
give
a
quick
update
just
from
memory
there's
been
a
little
more
activity
on
the
ticket
I,
we
have
numbers
from
Google
data.
I
asked
for
actual
further
work
done.
I
am
unfortunate
fast,
it's
been
in
the
middle
of
a
product
launch
and
a
conference
right
now
so
there's
been
I
did
a
little
bit
of
work.
You
consolidate
you
back
into
an
actionable
list
for
it,
but
beyond
that,
I
personally
have
not
gotten
very
far
I'm
really
now
I
also
did
not
share
the
sketch
file,
as
was
discussed
last
time
on
the
github
issues.
B
B
A
I
didn't
follow
through
with
the
thing
I
was
supposed
to,
or
that
and
I
apologize
I've
been
sick
and
dizzy
over
the
past
two
weeks,
so
yeah.
That's
we
do
need
to
get
the
release
team
in
here.
I'll
actually
take
an
agenda
item
right
now,
like
oh
try
to
ping
the
TSC
in
there
and
see
if
they
are
interested
in.
B
B
B
D
A
A
B
A
Probably
give
a
little
bit
of
insight
into
that
that
others
don't
have.
There
is
almost
as
far
as
I
know
no,
except
for
brew.
There's.
No!
None
of
those
package
managers
actually
maintained
ojs
themselves.
So
when
you,
you
know,
apt-get
install
nodejs
by
default.
Without
doing
anything,
you
get
no
J's
4.3,
which
is
in
pre
LTS
node
for
version
a
suite
of
security
vulnerabilities.
A
So
and
like
that's,
you
know,
I
can
give
a
little
bit
of
extra
insight
in.
That
is
because
we
maintain
to
act
like
the
up-to-date
ones
and
note
source
and
so
yeah
there's
like
you
know,
nobody
is
really
taking
that
on
in
the
official
like
canonical
sense,
and
you
no
pun
intended
there,
but
you
know
also,
for
you
know
young
as
well,
I
believe
the
same
story
and
also
for
rpm.
A
You
know
the
enterprise
Red
Hat,
Enterprise,
Linux
they're,
not
updating
as
well
so
my
best
but
like
I
would
place
money
on
us,
probably
not
endorsing
that.
Just
because
it's
unmaintained
and
it's
not
something
that
the
foundation
or
the
project
has
taken
on
is
something
that
we
are
willing
to
maintain.
A
A
B
A
For
sure
yeah
I
didn't
realize
that
was
part
of
that,
so
that
actually
dad
does
make
a
lot
of
sense,
because,
on
the
other
end
of
that,
like
that
package
manager
page
points
to
a
note
source
page
that
we
discuss
in
our
repo,
where
all
that
stuff
lives
and
I
I
consistently
see
extremely
high
traffic
from
that.
So
you
know
it's
a
non-trivial
thing
and
very
high
usage,
so
yeah
yeah,
so
I
will
ping
the
releases
team
and
then
PLC
to
kind
of
get
combat
context
on.
If
we
want
to
support
that.
A
B
A
Okay,
so
I
think
we
can
go
to
the
next
agenda
item
which
is
getting
started
with
node,
so
drove
I.
Don't
again,
don't
know
how
to
pronounce
name
properly.
Sorry
I
hope
I'm
not
butchering
that,
but
they
proposed
a
few
different
sections
that
could
be
in
a
getting
started
with
notes
section
on
the
site.
A
A
C
C
All
those
sort
of
embedded
runtimes,
which
is
I,
think
going
to
be
really
useful
and
I
would
think
a
really
good
opportunity
to
help
you
developers
or
even
existing
developers.
You
know
interactive
interact
with
APs
and
and
Docs
more
fluidly,
so
I'm
gonna
add.
Essentially
you
know
that
that
research
live
on
I
was
just
putting
down,
though
I
don't
want
to
get
everybody
feedback
in
terms
of
what
requirements
we
really
do
have
I
know
that
Jennifer
came
along
in
that
discussion.
C
A
So
I
think
you
know
the
criteria
that
this
is
just
totally
me
and
kind
of
what
I
think
would
value
is
being
a
cool
to
use
node
in
the
browser
and
like
interact
with
you
know,
building
an
HTTP
server
or
something
or
you
know
actually
using
external
things.
That
aren't
just
note
cuz
at
this
point
you
know
my
experience
with
node
has
been
nobody
ever
or
almost
nobody
uses
just
know
it's
always
node
and
X
and
so
enable
the
users.
A
D
A
C
So
in
that
space,
I'm
I
guess
my
one
biggest
or
the
biggest
query,
I
sort
of
had
was
whether
or
not
some
of
these
environments
allow
you
to
build
more,
even
more
robust
applications
where
you're
you
can
include
pretty
much
any
dependency,
and
then
they
go
sort
of
tangentially
into
that
application.
Space
versus
sort
of
single
to
him,
like
one-off
use
cases
that
are.
C
A
I
think
they
and
please
anyone
ate
it-
feel
free
to
interject,
I
I
think
the
intent
here
is
actually
to
have
both
for
docs
I
I
voice.
It
I
think
I
voices
in
the
first
meeting,
but
it
will
be
very
difficult
for
us
to
to
make
massive
changes
there,
especially
including
like
examples
unless
it's
highly
portable,
because
Doc's
Levine
endowed
Corps
and
that's
gonna-
be
something
that
we
work
with
them
on
and
that's
it's
an
implementation
detail,
that's
down
the
line
and
it's
gonna
be
hard,
I,
I!
A
Okay:
here's
how
you
can
start
with
node
and
kind
of
build
up
that
X
no
jeaious
experience
from
like
you
know,
okay
I
know
JavaScript
what
next
to
being
able
to
go
and
actually
feel
comfortable
in
anything,
you
have
a
start
in
place
and
you
can
kind
of
have
an
idea
where
to
go
explore
from
there
right
and
I
think
that
that
covers
more
of
the
application
space
rather
than
the
single
use.
Here's
how
you
do
this
I.
C
B
Sorry,
is
you
number
14
working
with
note
school
to
come
up
with
content?
I've
noticed
it
was
not
on
the
agenda,
probably
probably
should
be
like
we
we
need.
We
need
content,
forgetting
started
and
I.
Think
that
will
drastically
inform
what
we
what
we
need
of,
where
we're.
Having
that
conversation
right
now
kind
of
change,
tangentially
is
what
type
of
content
do
you
want
on
the
site?
A
It
would
probably
be
helpful
for
the
project
in
the
long
run
of
you
know,
having
this
sustainable
thing,
that
we
can
kind
of
work
on
in
iterate
and
and
reference
in
the
future,
but
it
would
also
help
us
kind
of
get
more
engagement
and
buy-in
from
the
community
itself,
and
you
know,
help
grow
that
community
and
also
take
that
that
workload
of
that
burden
off
of
us
to
a
certain
extent
building
a
framework.
Is
you
for
that?
A
B
A
A
So
I
won
one
of
the
things
about
notes
or
earnest.
Note
school
is
sorry.
You
know
des
rois.
It's
it's
not
really
like
one
person,
there's
there's
no
like
governing
top-level
people
that
we
can
talk
to
it's
very
community
driven
so
like
Olivia
is
one
of
those
people
and
I
know.
You
know
there
are
a
few
people
that
got
mentioned.
A
I
can
ping
I
actually
know
two
of
them
personally,
who
are
kind
of
high
level
in
that
I
didn't
realize
that
they
were
involved
at
that
level,
but
I
can
go
out,
reach
out
to
them
and
kind
of
help,
try
to
drive
that
a
little
bit
more
yeah.
So
it
doesn't
look
like
any
of
those
any
of
those
people
kind
of
dropped
in,
but
looking
at
the
names
that
Olivia
mentioned,
I
can
actually
go
reach
out
to
them.
B
A
B
D
Related
to
the
getting
started
content
since
we
are
trying
to
work
with
node
school,
and
we
just
talked
about
striking
a
certain
balance
between
ecosystem
and
node
core
note
school
does
have
they
do
organize
their
work.
Shoppers
in
a
way
where
there
are
core
work,
shoppers
which
talks
about
like
how
to
use
NPM
and
how
to
use
streams,
basic
notes,
stuff
and
also
they
have
what
they
call
electives,
which
are
other
things
that
that
are
not
not
exactly
part
of
the
core
node
experience
but
more
to
do
with
the
ecosystem.
D
D
C
A
Think
we
can
move
on.
I
will
also
remove
the
label
from
that.
So
one
thing
just
to
note
for
everyone
here
and
also
try
to
make
everyone
else
aware:
the
on
Monday
each
end
I'd
like
the
Monday
before
the
meeting
the
agenda
items
are
created
and
like
gathered.
So
you
know,
if
don't
hesitate
to
add
something
to
the
agenda.
A
There's
you
know
no
reason
you
know
we're
all
happy
to
discuss
the
things
we
can
always
take
things
off
like
we
just
did
see
I,
don't
you
know
no
need
to
hesitate
to
add
things
to
the
agenda.
If
you
feel
it's
deserved,
hurt
me
didn't
so
there
were
two
kind
of
things
that
we
we
talked
about
and
one
well
one
of
them.
We
didn't
really
talk
about,
but
I
feel
like
we
should
kind
of
have
some
next
steps.
C
Don't
think,
there's
a
issue
for
that
yet,
but
then
overall
goals
and
and
maybe
if
there
is
in
existence
or
if
we
can
create
some,
you
know
mood
board
style
guides
or
eventually
that
will
get
all
filled
out
as
we
progressed
along
here
and
just
once
a
awesome.
If
there's
anything
missing
from
you
know,
I
guess
the
categories
there.
We
can
always
add
it
I'm
guessing.
This
is
probably
just
going
to
be
a
markdown
file
or
some
sort
of
folder
yeah.
C
Yeah
and
then
I
just
also
put
down
here
in
other
just
again,
the
categorization
or
the
score
scorecard
categories
that
I'm
using
for
the
repple
discovery
work.
So
whether
or
not
the
repple
supports
versions
like
what
versions
does
it
support?
Is
it
embeddable
whether
or
not
it
just
automatic
package
resolution,
or
if
you
actually
have
to
define
like
a
package.json
minimal
branding?
Is
it
well-maintained?
C
A
B
Not
that
I'm
personally
aware
of
no
I
think
we,
it
sounds
like
all
four
of
us
have
had
a
fun
last
two
weeks
of
limited
progress
done
on
the
specific
initiative,
so
I
fingers
crossed
like
I'm,
excited
to
have
the
action
items
codified
and
shared
the
meeting
minutes.
So
we
can
keep
working
towards
awesome.
A
C
I
mean
I've
been
working
on
an
update
to
the
notes,
culture
on
a
website
and
I've
found
myself
trying
to
create
essentially
like
a
network
bar
or
something
that's
highs
in
node.
You
know
no
documentation
and
navigation,
along
with
the
node
school
documentation
and
navigation
into
the
the
website.
For
my
specific
chapter
here
in
Toronto
and
I've
sort
of
found
it
to
be
an
interesting
exercise
in
creating
some
sort
of
unification
across
those
three
entities.
C
So
you
have
the
local
ad-hoc
user
group
essentially,
but
is
heavily
reliant
on
the
education
and
the
tutorials
and
lessons
that
were
created
by
note
school.
But
then
that
is
in
turn
heavily
reliant
on
the
documentation
for
for
node,
and
you
know
right
now,
there's
I
found
that
there's
being
a
lot
of
sort
of
googling
searching
and
a
lot
of
confusion,
I
think
for
any
attendees
to
our
events,
and
so
I
just
want
to
add,
essentially,
as
we
hopefully
open
up
discussions
with
node
school
or
to
other
communities
that
we
consider
you
know.
C
C
Note
school
in
Montreal
actually
took
the
are
our
forked,
essentially
our
our
website,
and-
and
we
were
totally
okay
with
that
and
maybe
there's
an
opportunity
to
create
a
standard.
Like
note,
school
website
template
or
you
know,
work
with
note
school
itself
to
also
update.
You
know
that
website,
because
it's
been
a
few
years
since
Hannah
so
I'm
just
wondering
you
know
if
we
create
a
really
good
framework
in
which
we,
the
design,
are
redesigned.
The
note
website
keep
in
mind.
C
You
know
how
this
could
potentially
permeate
through
the
entire
JSC
ecosystem,
including
you
know
the
foundation
website
the
Jas
foundation
website.
You
know
these
other
orgs
that
you
know
we
collaborate
with
and
potentially
you
know
you
know,
there's
there's
a
lot
of
crossover.
So
just
a
comment:
I
guess:
yeah.
A
For
sure
cool
and
with
that
I
think
we
can
probably
close
out
the
meeting
a
little
bit
early
30
minutes
early.
So
that's
awesome,
and
so
thanks
everyone
for
coming
and
if
you
have
anything
you
know
you'd
like
to
share
the
website.
Redesign
initiative-
or
you
know,
you'd
like
to
participate,
feel
free
to
come
over
to
the
website
redesign
initiative,
repo
in
the
noches
github
organization,
and
we
will,
you
know,
happy
to
have
more
people.
So
awesome
thanks.
Everyone
cheers.
