►
From YouTube: Node.js Website Redesign
Description
A
Welcome
back
cool
awesome,
so
we'll
dive
right
in
the
issue
ticket
our
meeting
ticket
is
issue
number
one.
One,
two
three
over
in
website
redesign
folks
gonna
follow
along
like
the
nice
round
number
we're
gonna
go
a
little
bit
out
of
order
today,
let's
start
with
the
website,
redesign
repo
tickets
and
then
jump
over
to
that
design.
A
So
we'll
start
out
with
issue
number
107
tech
stack
consideration,
I'm,
just
gonna
use
this
as
a
chance
to
launch
in
to
first
an
apology
for
not
having
the
Gatsby
website
up
yet
the
the
person
that
run
kit
has
been
its
put
on
getting
the
Foundation's
set
and
working
full-time
on
it
had
a
bit
of
a
family
emergency
the
past
week
or
so
so
we're
waiting
to
come
back.
Unfortunately,
I
won't
be
till
after
the
holidays,
but
they
I
think
they.
You
know
they
did
an
evaluation
as
well,
and
there
you
know
Gatsby
seems
awesome.
A
B
C
So
action
items
for
that
one,
some
of
them
were
okay,
I'll,
just
go
through
them,
sequentially,
some
of
them
weren't
due
for
today,
and
some
were
kind
of
ongoing.
The
first
one
deploy
cipher
issue
4
to
8
in
comm
comb,
repoed,
thats
related
to
contributor
cards.
That's
the
one
that
I
took
I'm.
Having
deploy
issues
I
gave
it
another
go
last
night
that
was
unable
to
get
it
up
there,
so
I'd
have
to
putt
that
till
next
time.
C
Second,
a
journey
took
on
BnB
took
on
designing
the
card
for
the
same
project
and
I
think
you
specifically
mentioned
that
it's
just
going
to
take
longer
than
just
the
one
cycle
and
by
cycle
or
mean
the
two-week
cycle.
We
have
been
between
five
months
four
meetings,
the
third
one
lead
or
rabbit
on
Oh
leader
is
here,
hey
leader,
and
maybe
you
could
bring
us
up
to
speed
on
if
there
is
something
new
happening
related
to
that
that
one.
D
C
Media
yeah
more
work,
there's
the
way
I'd
set
it
up.
I
just
set
up
I
just
had
it,
so
it
would
show
what
it
could
look
like,
but
it
didn't
actually
have
like
what
we
would
have
running
for
people
to
actually
visit
going
from
this
side.
Easel
I
think
I
will
need
to
modify
this
action
item
to
include
a
little
bit
more
detail.
Okay,
yeah.
A
Let's
and
also
I
wanted
to
use
the
the
site
that
you're
deploying
Manila's
kind
of
a
foundation
for
us
to
iterate
on
what
type
of
content
we'd
want
on
a
community
page
right.
So
let's
yeah,
let's
get
a,
let's
make
sure
we
get
that
deployed,
so
we
can
start
poking
at
it
and
we
can
next
time
come
back
and
kind
of
review
the
content,
that's
there
and
and
start
using
that.
As
a
launching
point
for
discussion
about
one
last
page
that
we
have
no
idea
what
the
content
structure
is.
Gonna
look
like.
A
C
A
A
A
Mmm-Hmm
so
we'll
probably
skip
skip
the
next
one
of
these.
I
zoom
the
next
meeting
cool,
let's
get
to
the
let's
get
to
the
the
meaty
issue,
so
I
opened
up
an
issue
over
in
calm,
calm
issue,
number
433,
saying:
hey.
We
got
some
stuff
to
present,
so
we've
been
I've,
been
working
with
these
two
awesome
designers
to
come
up
with
a
kind
of
phase
one
proposal
of
where
the
node
J
over.
We
can
take
a
couple
options
for
where
we
can
take
no
js'
visually
and
between
the
two
of
them.
A
They've
done
a
lot
of
really
good
branding
work
for
like
Pepsi
and
Nike
for
their
marketing
campaigns
and
JJ,
redhots
and
donuts,
and,
like
so
they've
they're
kind
of
veterans
of
the
branding
market,
which
is
awesome,
they've
done
some
good
contracting
work
with
Facebook
for
their
illustration,
stuff
and
and
I'm
looking
to
start
shopping
around.
This
is
one
option
for
the
direction
that
the
visual
direction
we
can
kind
of
take
note
in
so
we
can
finally
start.
A
We
can
point
them
towards
more
high
iteration
content
development
for
the
rest
of
the
site
and
really
actually
start
to
test.
This
type
of
visual
look
and
feel
in
in
some
more
real-world
scenarios,
so
that
includes
high
fidelity
mocks
for
this
team.
The
website
redesign
team
of
homepage
and
Docs
pages,
some
pretty
well
spec
stuff,
so
we
can
actually
not
just
be
iterating
willy-nilly.
A
A
Yep
yeah,
sweet
awesome,
oh
and
well
so
gonna
show
off
some
kind
of
branded
badge
design
concepts
using
the
new
color
palettes
illustration
styles
and
thoughts
about
where
that
can
head
and
then
I
just
want
to
collect
candid
feedback
thoughts,
opinions,
ideas
for
what
direction
we
should
take
it
in
this
is
an
iteration.
It's
not
a
final.
The
final
look
and
feel
by
any
means.
You
know
we
need
community
buy-in
here
and
community
the
excitement
over
the
directions.
A
So,
let's
you
know,
it'll
be
good
to
continue
iterating
from
here,
so,
like
I,
said
before
two
key
components
of
what
the
nodejs
website
redesign
project
can
can
introduce
here,
especially
since
working
with
designers.
Is
this
this
concept
of
a
mascot
and
this
community
badging
system?
It
kind
of
helps,
establish
the
look
and
feel
for
these
two
and
and
they'll
serve
as
building
blocks
towards
the
new
visual
communication
style
for
node
and
more
important.
They
can
help
guide
the
design
direction
of
the
new
website
itself.
A
This
this
mascot
and
the
community
badges
might
very
well
be
the
first
elements
that
a
new
node
user
encounters
in
the
wild
you
know
slept
on
schwag
around
somebody's
laptop
I.
You
know
stickers
on
a
table
at
a
meet-up,
so
they're
pretty
critical
to
work
together
to
communicate
the
core
characteristics
we
identified
back
at
the
last
collaborator
summit
in
Vancouver.
It's
really
fun
exercise
everybody
in
a
room
with
sticky
notes,
identifying
core
values
of
node
the
node
project,
those
core
values
of
stability.
Inclusiveness
know
it
is
welcoming
performant
and,
most
importantly,
fun.
A
This
is
the
first
iteration
of
a
mask
idea
that
captures
those
values
say
hello
to
the
node
B,
so
these
are
hardworking,
dedicated
and
and
and
loved
dedicating
themselves
to
the
larger
community,
which
really
kind
of
sums
up
how
how
the
node
community
operates.
So
us
as
a
node
users,
we're
part
of
a
larger,
dedicated
collective
effort
working
towards
enriching
this
language
ecosystem,
plus
we're
kind
of
known
for
the
hexagon
or
honeycomb
shape,
so
perfect
alignment,
you'll
notice,
first
and
foremost
the
node
B
as
a
helmet.
Why
buy
a
helmet?
A
We
see
the
node
B
as
adventurous
and
fearless
you
can
really
get
down
and
dirty
and
keep
up
with
the
fast-moving
ecosystem.
I
have
totally
willing
to
be
launched
completely
confidently
into
whatever
the
heck.
The
ecosystem
is
gonna,
bring
them
next,
but
going
in
with
a
plan
and
able
to
go
in
break
things
but
safely.
So
you
can
see
that
it
works
pretty
well
on
a
whole
array
of
content,
all
types
of
schwag
so
that
we
can
actually
start
seeing
this.
You
know
how
this
might
interact
with
the
real
world
I.
A
There
was
also
some
work
done
on
iterations
on
badge
designs,
kind
of
leaning
into
the
mascot
look
and
feel
I.
So
you
know
size
can
sometimes
be
an
issue
with
these
types
of
bet.
I
just
were
kind
of
picturing.
This
is
a
way
for
you
to
let
your
participation,
partition,
participation,
pride
shine,
you
know,
Fluffy's
on
the
laptop.
You
can
get
pins
printed
out.
These
two
concepts
here,
one
is
more
leaning
into
the
node
core
original
colors
and
the
other
one
starts
to
explore.
Oh,
we
can
see
them
used
in
the
real
world
here.
A
I
might
look
as
we
as
we
start
using
them,
and
then
others
using
a
slightly
more
extended
color
palette,
I
this
more
like
jewel,
tone
designs,
inviting
happy
so
I.
We
think
we
found
a
pretty
good
balance
with
illustration:
focused
badges,
but
still
having
the
name
on
there
in
a
way
that
reads
and
scales
nicely
I
and
it
was
able
to
be
presented
in
multi,
multiple
forms,
actors,
I,
so
yeah
there.
They
are
side
by
side
and
yeah.
A
I
really
just
want
to
open
it
up
for
discussion
now
like
what
do
you
think
of
the
the
the
direction?
What
do
you
think
about
the
the
color
palettes?
It's
kind
of
flat,
illustration
style
and
then
just
initial
reactions
on
the
mascot
just
kind
of
leave
it
up
to
leave
it
at
all
you
to
to
speak
freely,
I.
C
C
Totally
totally
and
like
security
team
I
feel
like
this
all
these
badges-
and
this
is
probably
like
somewhat-
this
is
kind
of
for
the
badges
initiative,
but
it
will
go
a
long
way
towards
giving
people
individual
identity
in
the
teams
they
work
with,
and
the
working
groups
that
they're
part
of
so
from
that
context.
I
think
the
effort
being
done
here
is
worthwhile
awesome.
A
A
Good
I'm
glad
I
wanna
I
want
to
dig
in
a
little
more
into
masca
hot
stuff.
There
was
a
back
in
the
comm
come
chat.
There
was.
There
was
a
lot
of
great
discussion
to
upload
that
video
don't
I,
then
we
couldn't
use
the
livestream
last
time
so
I
have
a
video
sitting
on
my
laptop
of
the
last
calm,
calm
meeting.
It
was
good.
It
was
really
good
discussion
around.
A
You
know
the
the
snow
jsb
as
a
mascot
direction,
and
you
know
if
this,
if
this
represents
the
community
in
a
way
that
we're
proud
of
and
excited
about,
so
I
want
to
kind
of
dig
into
that.
As
a
as
a
topic,
I
I
know,
I
personally
really
enjoy
the
kind
of
the
the
symmetries
in
the
the
messaging
around
the
be
you
know,
it's
very
community
focused
hard-working
and
builds
really
impressive
stuff.
C
C
Although
what
I
heard
in
the
last
in
the
last
discussion,
a
big
like
people
raised
a
low
points,
I
I
think
like
to
add
context
to
that
I
feel
like
the
people
are
raising
those
points
they
they
want
to
make
sure
that,
because
mascots
once
they're
set
become
somewhat
permanent,
you
can't
like
switch
that
around
right.
It
starts
getting
kind
of
absorbed,
whatever
the
effect
that
is
I
think
their
motivations
are.
They
want
to
make
sure
we
have
like
a
mascot
that
will
stand
the
test
of
time.
C
For
example,
and
you
know,
threats
are
values
going
forward,
so
I
see
the
validity
there.
I
do
think
that
the
initiative
as
a
whole
has
its
worth
on
the
on
the
subject
of
the
mascot
itself.
Like
you,
would
you
want
to
talk
about
Adam
I
like
to
be
and
I
like
that?
It's
flexible
I
like
what
they've
tried
to
do
with
the
different
characters.
I.
Do
also
think
that
when
some
people
are
saying
like,
why
do
we
need
a
mascot?
C
D
A
That's
fair
I
that
that
seems
to
be
a
reaction,
I've
gotten
from
a
few
people
which
tells
me
like
that.
It's
time
we
get
to
go
back
and
iterate
like
I've
heard
positive
things
about
the
you
know
the
the
kind
of
emotion
of
it,
the
the
look
and
feel
the
the
color
palette,
the
style,
but
there's
still
there's
still
this
disconnect
between
you
know.
Does
it
does
it
capture
the
core
of
what
no
it
is
so
yeah
and
that's
why
I
want
to
you
know
shop
it
around
more.
The
way
I
see
this
moving
forward.
A
Is
we
got
a
lot
of
actionable
feedback
from
the
the
kumkum
meeting?
We
went
to
and
I'd
love
to
get
actionable
feedback
from
from
this
and
I'm
gonna
we're
gonna
keep
shopping
it
around
progressively
larger
circles
of
people
like
we're,
gonna
iterate
on
this
a
bit.
Take
it
to
comic-con.
Take
it
back
to
comic-con,
give
our
feedback
iterate
again,
take
it
to
the
TSC.
D
A
D
A
A
C
B
A
Yeah
I
think
we
we
have
a
bit
more
iteration
to
do
on
the
mascot,
but
I'm.
You
know
I'm
excited
by
the
general
positive
feedback
about
the
direction,
at
least
so
I
think
we
can
continue
forward
with
the
the
more
high
fidelity
website
designs
and
I'm
gonna
we're
gonna
start
playing
with
some
more
higher
fidelity
mocks
of
like
homepage
documentation
pages.
Just
you
know
integrating
some
of
the
color
schemes
and
illustration
styles.
A
While
we
keep
nailing
down
what
this
person
should
be
or
what
this
character
should
be
to
help
us
better
represent
the
brand
I
know.
A
lot
of
folks
were
sad
about
the
historically
there
was
a
a
rocket
turtle.
Was
the
mascot
for
nodejs
kind
of
I
think
hand
drawn
by
speak
original
maker
or
one
of
the
original
core
members?
We
thought
the
metaphor
of
an
incredibly
slow
creature
with
an
explosive
strapped
to
its
back
was
maybe
not
the
best
representation
for
an
enterprise
level
piece
of
software.
A
A
I
I
can't
see
a
reason.
Why
not
I
mean
a
mascot
helps
us
really
deliver
the
brands
mohit
says
in
the
chat,
I
think
if
I
decide
instantly
on
what
would
be
a
mascot
for
node,
we'll
think
about
it
and
come
up
with
ideas
other
than
B,
so
I
definitely
could
be
awesome.
Yeah.
Thank
you.
My
yeah,
if
you
have
any
ideas,
feel
free
to
chime
in
over
on
github
or
just
you
know
me
one-on-one
to
if
you
want.
E
I'm,
adding
to
it
like
we
should
have
a
likely
answer.
Why
should
we
have
mastered
I?
Think
we
don't?
You
should
not
go
like.
Why
should
not?
We
have
mascot,
but
we
should
have
a
clear
answer
like
why
we
are
having
mascot.
For
the
note
just
like
we
should
be
able
to
answer
clearly
to
the
to
the
questioners
right.
B
A
Or
for
me
at
least
you
know,
a
mascot
is
a
beautifully,
concise
way
to
communicate
all
of
our
consumers.
What
nodejs
is
all
about?
It's
just
an
extra
it's,
an
extra
layer
of
branding
and
an
extra
layer
of
communication
that
we
can
use
to
to
kind
of
sell
the
node
community
to
folks
that
might
otherwise
be
outside
of
it.
You
know
mascots
mascots
work
very
well
to
capture
core
values
and
communicate
it
in
an
in
a
visual
way
that
just
logos
and
color
palettes
can't
I.
C
E
E
E
C
A
Awesome
well,
I
think
next,
steps
for
the
design
crew
at
least,
is
get
that
next.
Iteration
explore
a
little
bit
more
about
the
core.
Here,
talk
one-on-one
with
a
whole
bunch
of
people
which
honestly
design
this
whole
time
have
been
trying
to
avoid
too
much
design
by
committee
like
if
we
just
got
all
of
calm,
calm
and
TSC,
and
all
the
contributors
who
care
in
a
room
and
said
hey,
let's
design
something
that
would
implode
in
a
hot
second,
so
I,
I
love
that
we
were
able
to
get
a
solid
first
iteration
out.
C
Like
that,
this
has
allowed
us
to
explore
this
method
of
doing
it
like
to
try
and
avoid
designed
by
community,
by
doing
this
and
other
wins
seeing
what
the
outcome
is
because
I
think
with
open-source
the
process
that's
been
landed
on
has
been
somewhat
like.
It's
not
designed
the
community
committee,
but
it
is
like
a
lot
of
like
from
the
start,
having
a
lot
of
people
involved
and
I
think
it's
interesting
to
see
the
dichotomy
and
the
outcomes
between
using
both
and
I'm,
not
I,
just
I,
don't
just
mean
this
particular
one.
A
I've
seen
I've
seen
two
different
ways
that
open
source
design
has
happened
and
it's
it's
either.
One
person
goes
and
makes
something
a
little
silly
and
the
community
is
like
yeah,
that's
awesome,
cool
wall,
and
then
they
put
it
out
as
the
main
thing
like
go
go
for
it
or
it's
a
you
know
the
I
suppose
three
different
ways
or
the
the
the
large
company
backing
an
open-source
project
says
we
hired
a
brand
company
here.
We're
doing
this
now.
A
Plop
call
it
a
day,
yeah,
so
that's
kind
of
the
design
by
committee,
but
no,
but
it's
actually
a
designer
option
or
they're
like
mandate,
top-down
options
and
I'm
trying
really
hard
to
thread
the
needle
between
the
two
options
and
yeah.
We've
had
a
professional-looking
output,
but
with
intense
community
involvement
and
feedback
in
an
organized
way.
Yeah.
C
A
That's
all
I
have
today
I
think
we
got
a
bunch
of
stuff
to
go
off
and
iterate
on
over
the
holidays,
but
I
really
really
I
have
a
meeting
later
today
with
the
guy
who's
supposed
to
get
the
repo
set
up.
So
I'm
fingers
crossed
early
January,
we'll
have
a
place
to
actual
start
coding,
I'm.
Sorry,
it's
been
taking
so
long,
but.
A
I,
so
we
had
a
scheduling
conflict
with
the
the
board
meeting
that
was
going
on
at
the
same
time,
so
they
took
the
livestream
I
have
a
video
sitting
on
my
laptop.
That's
been
sitting
there
now
for
the
past
five
six
days,
which
I
need
to
upload
to
YouTube.
Oh
yeah
I'll
make
a
an
announced
or
I'll
make
an
announcement
on
the
main
meeting
ticket
on
on
the
calm,
calm
side
of
things.
I
believe
that's
I
mean
I'll
upload
it
immediately
after
this,
because
you
don't
a
second
person
who's
bugged
me
about
it.
A
A
It's
an
interesting
discussion
to
hear
too,
because
we
talked
about
the
the
mascot
and
design
stuff
as
well.
Yeah
awesome
anything
else
to
chime
in
with
here,
otherwise
we'll
wrap
it
up
a
little
early
awesome.
Thank
you
all
both
of
you
enjoy
the
enjoy
the
vacation
and
yeah
we'll
see
you
early
January,
not
next
meeting,
but
next
next
meeting.
