From YouTube: 2015 HTM Challenge Kickoff
Description
No description was provided for this meeting.
If this is YOUR meeting, an easy way to fix this is to add a description to your video, wherever mtngs.io found it (probably YouTube).
A
Okay,
you
all
hear
me:
okay,
all
right!
Thank
you,
everybody
for
coming
to
the
first
HTM
challenge.
This
is
actually
our
sixth
hackathon
like
event
that
namenda
is
put
on
how
many
of
you
have
attended
other
of
our
hackathons,
several
good
okay.
So
we're
trying
a
new
format
this
time
and
we're
going
to
see
how
it
works
out.
So
one
of
the
biggest
complaints
we've
gotten
at
other
hackathon
events.
Is
that
there's
not
enough
time
and
if
we
had
another
36
hours,
maybe
we
could
get
something.
A
That's
interesting
for
people
to
look
at,
and
it's
true
that
HTM
is
not
a
simple
technology
to
implement
and
get
an
interesting
project
working.
So
we
thought
that
this
event
doing
it
online
remotely
would
allow
more
people
to
have
more
time
to
work
on
their
project
and
hopefully
still
have
access
to
the
help
from
the
new
pic
community
and
from
momenta
engineers
to
help
you,
along
with
your
project.
A
So
we
hope
that
this
format
has
worked
out
if
you're
a
member
of
our
mailing
lists
or
are
our
new
pic
community
chat
rooms
and
stuff
I'm
going
to
be
asking
for
feedback,
because
I
want
to
know
how?
Well
you
guys
think
all
of
this
went
so
thanks
for
coming
today,
I'm
going
to
go
over
our
agenda
and
stuff
so
go
ahead
next
slide.
A
First
of
all,
I
would
love
it
if
you
shared
any
pictures
or
videos
you
take
at
this
event,
using
the
hashtag
HTM
challenge
feel
free
to
live
stream.
If
you
have
a
youtube
app
on
your
on
your
phone,
that's
perfectly
fine.
They
would
love
to
see
it
they're
all
upset,
because
I'm
not
live
streaming
right
now,
if
you
are
at
our
community
event,
last
night
we
had
two
nice
live
streams.
A
A
The
agenda
today
is
going
to
be
two
sessions
in
the
morning.
The
first
is
going
to
be
from
our
vp
of
research,
subbuteo,
mod
and
he's
going
to
talk
about
history
or
the
evolution
of
HTM
theory
over
the
10
plus
years.
That
is,
it
has
been
worked
upon
then
we'll
take
a
short
break
and
then
our
co-founder
Jeff
Hawkins
will
come
and
talk
about
what
are
the
hard
unsolved
problems
with
HTM,
so
that
promises
to
be
an
interesting
presentation.
A
At
that
point
we
will
break
for
lunch
and
when
we
come
back
we
will
view
HTM
challenge
submissions.
So
the
idea
is
we'll
have
a
panel
of
judges
sitting
in
a
jury
box
over
here,
I
will
introduce
each
challenge.
Submission
will
watch
the
short
YouTube
video
so
between
three
and
ten
minutes,
long,
some
longer
than
others.
If
you've
already
watched
them
online,
that's
fine,
no
big
deal,
but
once
we
watch
the
video
I
will
host
a
conversation
with
the
judges
about
that
submission.
A
We'll
talk
just
in
general
about
the
submission
and
they'll
have
a
chance
to
ask
questions
to
the
submitting
team
if
they
are
in
the
audience
or
they've
made
themselves
available
over
skype.
So
there
are
some
submissions
where
we
won't
have
access
to
the
submitters
because
they
can't
be
online
at
this
time.
A
They're
on
the
other
side
of
the
world,
we've
got
lots
of
submissions
from
all
over
the
planet,
which
is
really
cool,
and
that's
one
of
the
reasons
I
wanted
to
do
this
sort
of
a
remote
online
event
so
that
all
of
those
people
could
participate
instead
of
having
to
fly
in
for
a
hackathon
and
fly
out.
So
we're
going
to
see
some
submissions
from
people
in
in
Japan
and
Germany
and
all
over
the
place,
it's
going
to
be
really
cool.
A
So
once
we
have
that
discussion
and
the
judges
have
a
chance
to
ask
questions
to
the
submitters,
then
if
we
have
time
because
I
do
have
to
try
and
get
you
guys
out
of
here
by
a
certain
time,
then
I
will
open
up
some
questions
to
the
audience.
So
if
the
audience
has
any
questions
at
any
point,
feel
free
to
line
up
at
this
microphone.
A
So
I
know
that
somebody
wants
to
say
something
or
ask
a
question
in
the
same
regard,
if
I
know
that
a
submitting
team
is
in
the
audience,
I'll
ask
them
to
come
up
to
the
microphone
to
take
questions
from
the
judging
panel
when
it's
time
so
that's
sort
of
how
it's
going
to
go.
We're
going
to
go
just
demo
to
demo
and
if
you
noted
after
I
introduce
the
panel
of
judges,
we're
going
to
have
two
sections
of
demonstrations,
one
we're
calling
innovation
demos.
A
So
when
we
first
created
this
challenge,
we
wanted
to
get
applications
of
HTM.
We
were
looking
for
things
that
were
more
full-featured
more
polished.
You
know
not
just
a
hackathon
project,
but
something
that
a
lot
of
thought
went
into
to
try
and
visualize
how
this
practical
application
could
be
used
in
the
real
world.
A
So
that's
the
sort
of
thing
we're
going
for,
but
we
didn't
want
to
exclude
those
mad
scientists
out
there
working
in
the
HTM
community
who
really
just
wanted
to
dig
into
the
research
dig
into
the
theory
and
create
new
and
interesting
things
purely
because
of
motivation
of
innovating.
So
we
created
another
prize
for
innovation.
There
are
two
innovation
submissions
that
will
watch.
The
judging
panel
will
have
an
opportunity
to
comment,
but
they're
not
they
won't
be.
A
Judging
those
that's
a
separate
prize,
but
we'll
still
open
the
floor
for
comments
and
discussion,
then
we'll
move
to
the
application,
demos
and
there's
several
more
of
those
there's
like
12
or
14
of
those.
After
all,
of
the
application,
demos
are
done,
the
judges
will
deliberate
in
the
jury
room
and
we
will
come
back
and
award
prizes.
There
will
be
an
innovation
prize.
A
There
will
be
three
application
prizes
for
a
second
and
third
place
and
there
will
also
be
a
People's
Choice
prize,
so
this
People's
Choice
prize
is
available
for
anyone
on
the
internet
on
the
dev
Post
website
to
vote
on
what
submissions
they
thought
were
the
best.
So
if
you
want
to
vote,
you
do
have
to
create
a
dev
post
account.
Dev
post
is
the
web
platform
we're
using
to
host
this
online
challenge
event.
You
will
you
can
probably
do
that
through
your
mobile
phone
and
vote,
if
you
like.
A
Otherwise,
our
existing
community
has
already
started
voting
on
all
of
these
things.
So
well,
I
will
award
these
prizes
at
the
end
and
then
we'll
end
with
some
closing
thoughts,
and
that
will
be
the
entire
event.
So
without
further
ado,
we're
going
to
move
to
the
first
session
of
the
day,
which
will
be
soo,
bataille
Ahmad.
