From YouTube: 2015 HTM Challenge Awards
Description
Due to an unfortunate A/V recording problem, the video of this portion of the event was lost. This video includes slides, some photos, and the audio. Our apologies.
A
A
Don't
think
so
yeah,
so
you
can.
The
jury
can
sit
here.
The
judges,
the
judges,
can
sit
here
if
you
like,
but
we
won't
have
any
further
comments
from
the
judging
panel,
we'll
just
finish
up
with
announcing
the
awards
and
also
it's
good.
A
nice
photo
op.
So
if
you're
in
the
room
and
you
win
an
award,
let
me
come
shake
your
hand
come
on
up
here.
A
Okay,
so
you
guys
ready
before
I
get
to
ward.
Just,
let
me
at
least
say
thank
you
to
some
people
who
helped
me
a
bunch
putting
this
event
together
and
terry
fri.
I
think
it's
not
in
the
room
right
now,
but
she's
always
instrumental
to
me
when
I'm
blinding
these
events,
she's
she's,
the
one
who's
up
late,
working
with
me,
cleaning
up
or
setting
up
or
something
like
that.
So
thanks
Terry,
wherever
you
are
and
I
don't
know.
A
If
you've
noticed
if
you've
been
another
hackathons,
we
have
a
new
addition
to
the
new
meta
team,
Christy,
maybre
or
director
of
marketing
she's
been
very
helpful
as
well
and,
of
course,
Taylor
works
as
it
helped
a
bunch
again.
She's
helped
in
our
past.
Hackathon
show
I'd
also
like
to
thank
the
new
pic
community
who
I
really
reached
out
to
during
this,
because
I
depended
on
them
to
help
our
submitters
with
their
projects,
and
they
really
did
a
good
job,
especially
with
cantares
signal
analysis
problems.
A
He
got
a
lot
of
feedback
from
the
community
and
I
was
really
helpful.
So
thank
you.
New
pic
community
and
first
in
amenta
engineers
that
I've
been
pulling
in
the
conversations
on
git
er
where
necessary,
where
I
know
they
have
expertise
that
can
help
out
a
certain
submitter.
Thank
you,
the
mid
to
engineers
on
my
team
and,
of
course,
everyone
who
submitted
a
project.
Your
participation
is
really
important
to
me.
So
thank
you.
Thanks
to
the
judges
who
came
as
well
and
judged
all
of
your
projects,
sure
they
deserve
applause.
A
B
B
A
Thank
you
very
much.
I
really
appreciate
it.
I
put
a
lot
of
work
in
this
community
and
I
love,
seeing
it
prospers.
Thank
you.
I'm
gonna
do
door
prizes
last
because
I'm
going
to
give
out
whatever
prizes,
I
don't
have
remaining
so
okay,
let's
start
with
people's
choice
award.
This
was
an
online
vote.
Anybody
who
had
a
dub
post
account
could
vote
for
all
of
the
submissions
that
were
up
for
judging
and
the
people's
choice
award
goes
to
Chandan
Ruthie
yeah
he's
come
up.
A
C
A
Okay,
People's
Choice,
the
innovation
award,
so
I
specifically
opened
up
this
vote
to
the
new
pic
community
on
the
mailing
list
and
made
a
pole
for
just
the
community.
So
it's
not
really
open
to
the
whole
Deb
post
community,
but
I
want
it
to
be
focused
or
the
nuba
community
and
the
innovation
award
goes
to
Marcus
Lewis
or
come
for
Tex
for
a
new
pic.
I'm
I'm
going
to
give
you
your
choice
of
the
muse
device
or
the
home
monitoring
kit.
So
this
listens
to
your
brain
and
this
listens
to
your
home.
A
Thank
you.
Ok,
thank
you
without
further
ado,
the
third
place
prize.
Who
will
win
one
thousand
dollars?
I'm
sorry,
I
don't
have
a
giant
check
to
give
you
but
goes
to
ECG
and
HTM
by
kintaro
who's,
not
here
with
us
tonight,
but
we
all
thought
it
was
a
very
interesting
application
and
he
did
so
much
so
much
work
to
try
and
get
it
going.
Definitely
a
benefit
to
the
whole
community
that
comes
afterwards
and
tries
to
solve
similar
problems.
Thank
You
kintaro,
the
checks
in
the
mail
if
you're
watching
second
place,
goes
to.
A
A
A
B
A
Okay,
so
we're
just
about
to
adjourn
here:
I
just
want
I
always
have
some
closing
thoughts
and
I
have
a
couple
for
this.
First
of
all,
it's
a
totally
new
format.
I
feel
good
about
it.
It
seems
like
it
worked
out
pretty
well
I
know
as
a
lot
of
YouTube
watching,
but
a
lot
of
conversations
were
started
and
we
had
a
lot
of
new
ideas
pop
out.
So
I'm
sort
of
happy
with
this.
Another
thing
to
point
out
is
we
had
global
participation
for
this
event
and
that's
something
we
don't
usually
get
it
a
hackathon.
A
We
get
a
few
stragglers
that
come
in
from
different
countries
and
then
sometimes
they
get
a
hack
done.
Sometimes
they
don't.
We
had
hacks
from
Australia
Argentina
Japan
austria
in
not
including
the
United
States,
so
really
good
turnout
for
for
the
global
community.
Another
thing
is
one.
Third
of
these
application.
A
Submissions
were
built
on
top
of
HTM
Java,
which
is
a
change,
and
you
know
that
yet
as
it
as
this
matures
is
getting
a
lot
more
contributors
to
that
open
source
project,
and
you
know
it's
true-
that
the
jvm
universe
is
a
lot
broader
than
the
Python
universe.
It
exposes
us
and
HTM
technology
to
a
much
larger
developer
community,
which
is
an
important
thing.
A
So,
thanks
for
your
work,
David
Ray
on
HTM
Java
and
for
Court
of
Ohio
for
sponsoring
that
work,
the
last
thing
I
want
to
say
is:
if
you
didn't
notice
it
you
should
there
were
so
many
different
areas
that
HTM
can
be
applied
to.
We
saw
traffic
and
air
traffic
control
and
an
ECG
signal
analysis
and
then
events
over
time.
That's
it
just
shows
how
versatile
this
technology
can
be
when
smart
people
are
trying
to
solve
difficult
problems
with
it.
A
So
I
commend
all
of
you
guys
for
putting
forth
the
effort
and
getting
involved
becoming
more
of
a
part
of
our
community.
You
did
a
great
job.
Please
give
yourselves
a
hand
all
of
the
work
that
you
did
wonderful
and
thanks
for
coming
to
the
HTM
challenge.
I
have
nothing
else
here,
so
we're
going
to
wrap
up
and
clean
up
and
you
guys
can
get
head
home.
So
thanks
a
lot.
