From YouTube: Ironworker 3.0 - Realtime Build and Documentation
Description
Historic day at Open Source Ecology where we worked on the new Ironworker 3.0 and documented the process in detail with remote collaborators. The idea was a huge success. We accomplished what we needed on the build and created a How-To assembly guide on Dozuki at the same time.

And
in
our
real-time
video
production,
documentation
saga
we've
taken
the
first,
the
two
parts
of
the
iron
worker,
apart
from
each
other,
so
they're
loose
now
they're
there
just
dangling
ready
to
be
taken
apart
and
we're
going
to
create
each
one
of
these
into
a
separate
instructional.
So
it's
gonna
be
the
bottom
of
the
top
and
the
overall
assembly,
as
three
guides
at
the
very
least.
B
As
we
were,
as
we
were
working
on
it,
we
were
in
real
time
writing
down
the
instructions
into
zookie
and
uploading
pictures
right
into
dropbox,
and
then
Rob
was
copying
them
into
uzuki.
So,
as
we
were
going,
we
were
creating
the
guy
like
a
draft
guide
with
with
pictures
and
parked
lists
and
assembly
instructions
and
now-
and
we
finished
getting
all
that
into
there-
introducing
the
first
pass
we're
just
going
through
it
step-by-step
and
making
sure
that
everything
is.
You
know
the
right
pictures
are
lined
up
with
the
right
word.
I.

Actual
work
and
then
two
people
online,
actually
the
documentation,
rob-
was
doing
the
the
picture
insert
as
we
uploaded
in
real
time
and
John
was
doing
the
tax.
We
said
what
parts
we
used,
so
we're
gonna
generate
a
bill
of
materials
right
out
of
this
and
we
have
the
entire
procedure
we
did
in
Reverse
because
it
was
at
this
assembly,
but
now
we're
gonna,
reverse
it
and
uzuki.
So
it's
a
real
assembly
instructional,
so
we
should
be
able
to
do
the
full
assembly.
