comes
apart

delaminates

stuff

So
right
now
the
state
of
3d
printing
is
quite
limited.
Without
the
heated
build
chamber,
so
things
like
polyethylene
polypropylene,
which
are
the
most
common
plastics,
you
can't
print
that
you
can't
get
them
to
stick
to
the
bed,
nor
not
delaminate
when
you're
printing.
So
that's.

a
guard,

first
of
all
is
gonna,
be
an
insulated
metal
structure,
so
we
got
insulation
between
metal
walls,
but
then
on
the
top.
You
simply
have
a
piece
of
Pei
just
like
we
use
on

bed

attached
to
the
bottom
of
the
carrier,
so
when
it
moves
you're,
basically
keeping
the
top
of
that
chamber
closed
all
the
time.
So
nothing
like
none
of
the
mechanical
components
are
exposed.

the

so
I
used
to
work
for
rolls-royce,
designing
jet
engines
and
then
was
getting
kind
of
bored
with
that.
I
did
the
thermal
analysis
part
on
the
turbine
in
the
hot
section,
so
everything
after
they
put

gas

and
they
got
the
burning
hot
fire.
I
did
the
thermal
analysis
on
that
from
like
the
turbine
blades
to
the
wheel
hubs
to
the
casing.

NASA
and
DARPA
related
work
for
a
one
company
and
then
gardening
equipment
for
another
company
and
just
about
to
start
up
a
educational
program
for
a
trades
based
organization
that
is
growing
very
very
rapidly
and
they
need
to
they
like

train

their
own
people
directly
and
so
they're.
Looking
for
training
content,
that
is
our
way
to
do
training
that
isn't
a
person
centric
like
it

right

their
main
guy

like
even

silicon
mask
that,

3m,
respirator
style,
those
tend
to
even
leave
it
crushes
like
right
here
over
the
bridge
of
your
nose
and
on
your
cheeks,
tends
to
push

lot

leave
annotations,
meaning
that
there's
high
pressure
locations,
which
generally
means
it's
not
comfortable,
so
the
straight-up
plastic
ones,
one
mass
perfectly
to
your
profile,
seemed
like
a
pretty
good
way
to
go.
But
that
of
course,
is
not
good
for
mass
production.

you
can
mask
an
people's
faces
and
then
make
people
personal
masks,
so
I
still
think
going
the
direction
of
making
a
molded
3d
printed
mold.

you
pour
in
either
a
soft
plastic.
There's
one
video
that
I
came
across

a
guy
doing
that
with
fishing
lures,
and
it
worked
really
well.

like
the
wiggly
baits,
the
plastic

baits
that
people
make
someone
made
a
3d
printed
mold
and
then
poured
that
soft
plastic
into
that
point
into
that
plastic
mold
and
it
came
out
great

little
parting
lines

anything
like
that.

have
no
idea
what
skin
contact
that
soft
plastic
bait
material,
if
that's
any
good
for
skin
contact,
probably.

did

construction
work

while

these
smart
guys
that

doing
even

dusty.
They
would
wear
masks

spraying
paint
or
anything
like
that.
It's
it's
not
an
issue
anymore.

can
just
go
in
there.

thing,

plus

suit
and

are
designed

flow

air
comes
into
the
port,

we

this
bigger,

a
double
valve,
so

fresh
air
comes

of

and
then

trying
to
breathe
through
a
wet
towel,
doesn't
work
or
it's
going
to
click,
moisture
and
then
thing's
gonna
be
might
be
able
to
migrate
through
the
moisture
through
the
water
and
get
to
the
inside
of
that
filter.
That's
just
not
it's
not
the
same
filter
media.

doesn't
work
the
same
in
air
as
it
doesn't
water
yeah,
so
yeah
just
be

Who
needs
to
be
mindful
of
that?
Even
in
all
the
other
3d
print
designs
that
are
just
a
plastic
cup
that
fits
on
your
face,
that's
gonna,
get
it's
gonna,
get
roll
grody
and
like
you're
gonna
like
gross
sweat
and
face
breath,
moisture
like
dripping
down
your
chin
all
the
time.

It
does
optimize
the
usage
of
the
material,
but
whenever
you
try
and
get
a
square
piece
to
fit
over
another
square
piece,
you
tend
to
get
weird
folds
in
the
corner.
Wrinkles
and
wrinkles
and
folds
don't
necessitate
tight
sealing.
The
other
thing
with
a
using
a
square
is
just
you.
You
don't
have
hot
heterogeneous
forces
on
everything
or
homogeneous
forces
on
everything
and
it
lets
more
stuff
through,
and
it's
real
easy
to
take
like
a
piece
of
tape
or
a
piece
of
string.

can
get
a
really
good
tight
seal
around
the
whole
circle,
not
so
with
a
square
you'll
get

the

gonna
get
good
compression
on
the
corners,

on
the
flats

thing

consider
is:
if
you
go
to
a
round
Inlet,
then
that
can
be
connected
to
and
you
make
it
the
same
size.
It's
like
PVC
fittings
or
go
with
like
a
wall
or
pipe
sizing
or
something
like
a
PEX
pipe
that
can
be
connected
to
either
a
powered
system
as
an
upgrade
or
to
a
more
complex
filtration
system.

So,
for
example,
if
you
were
to
consider
PVC
fitting
and
instead
of
having
these
cartridges
on
the
side
here,
let's
say
you
had
a
single
port
on
the
front
and
then
you
get
like
a
inch
and
a
half
PVC
pipe
that
can
be
packed
with
whatever
media
you
want
and
a
tee
style
and
then
just
end
caps
on
there.
Then
you
can
pack
that
with.

If
you
wanted
to
do
a
carbon
filter
mechanism,
you
could
pack
that,
with
a
activated
carbon
part
particulate
within
some
within
some
filter
fabric
to
keep
the
carbon
where
it
needs
to
be,
and
then
you
can
just
unscrew
caps
on
that
and
exchange
changes
it
out,
basically
having
off-the-shelf
plastic
things.
Interface
with
that,
so
you
know
essentially
you're
turning
your
face
orifices
into
something.
This
is
your
face:
orifice
adapter,
that
adapts
it
to
any
hardware
that
you
want
to
adapt
it
to
so.

this
all
to
be
in
a
particulate
format
so
that
it
can
be
packed
in,
but
you
can
breathe
through
it

think
whatever
particular
size.
Obviously,
the
bigger
particles
aren't
gonna,
it's
not
gonna
filter
as
well,
but
you
can
breathe
more
easily,
and
so
it's
all
you
know
one
of
those
engineering
optimization
things
of
how
much
is
actually
getting
through
and
how
much
is
actually
getting
filtered
out
like
these
cartridges
here.
These
are.
These
are
really
old,
but
they
used
to
be
a
carbon
filter.

where's
the
rating
on
it
yeah.
These
are
P
100's,
so
therefore,
chlorine,
chlorine
dioxide,
hydrogen
chloride,
hydrogen
fluoride,
organic
vapors,
sulphur
dioxide
of
the
P
100
particulate
filter,
which
is
a
ninety
nine
point.
Nine
seven
efficiency
now
I've
been
using
these
for
a
long
time,
so
I
wouldn't
consider
them
good
for
most
chemicals.
But
you
know
it's
not
a
very
big,
not
a
very
big
package
to.

that's
some
but

beyond
HEPA,
filtration

little
wire
retainer
as
a
pre-filter
to
try
and
keep
some
of
the
junk
out
of
here.

it,

you

you

both
the
filter
rating
and
then
you
also
got
what's
going
around
the
outside.

between
the
edges
of
the
mask
yeah.
You
can
have
a
really
great
filter,

you
get
too
good
of
a
filter
material
and
then
you
still
have
gaps,
the
good
filter
material,
not
gonna,
flows
easily
and
then
you're
gonna
whole
bunch
of
leakage
on
the
outside
and
so
getting
a
good
fit
on.

average
face
is
probably
the
first
critical
step.

their
pleading
machines
at
the
start
and
end
of
each
run,
there's
a
significant
amount
of
wastage,
material
that
just
on
the
roll
still
or
it's
off
the
Roll
or
just
it's
cut,
and
it's
not
convenient
to
use.

cheap
enough
that
it's
not
worth
them
trying
to
do
something
with
it.
It's
too
small
and
it's
fiddly
bits
they're.

it's
depending
on
what
your
flow
rate
is:
it's
either
a
merv

or
it
performs
it
flows
like
I'm
over

but
removes
particles
like
a
merv
13.
So
it's
a
bit
of
a
fancier
material,
but
they
get
it
costs
more,
but
they
get
better
utilization
out
of
it
by
having
one
less
skew
of
material
somewhere.

industrial
applications
are
actually

stringent.

bigger

can
probably
eat
better
from

necessarily

permanent
issue,

masks

like
they
got
a
good
see

what
you
end
up

terms
of
who
any
actual
files
that
we

actually

good
one

print
right
now.
What
I
was
thinking

a

good
strategy
for
the
the
seal.
Is
you
have
a
some
kind
of
a
gasket
which
a
tubular
rubber,
printed,
gasket
kind
of
like
on
a
masks
which
have
the
retaining
with
the
retaining
flexible
structure?
Something
that's
easy
to
print
would
be
a
circular
tube.

so
what
I
came
across
was
either
people
were
making
custom
shapes
for
faces
or
compliant
materials.
I,
don't
think
it
was
an
easy
way
to
do
a
mostly
rigid
material
that
isn't
fit
to
faces.
There
are
a
couple
that
use
a
thermo
fitting
process,
so
they
either
printed
flat
and
then
that
you
heat
it
up
and
you
press
it
onto
your
face
to
custom-fit
it.

But
if
there's
not,
if
you're
using
a
hard
material,
there
has
to
be
some
level
of
customization
to
your
face
because
nose,
bridges
and
sizes
and
widths
and
all
that
stuff
just
vary
so
much
that
you
know
it's
always
right
right
here
is
always
the
the
biggest
leak
points
right
next
to
your
nose
up
to
your
eyes.
That's
where
all
the
air
comes
out
of
every
mask
I
mean,
even
even
in
the
paper
masks
or
the
n95
style.
I
got
that
metal
clip
to
try
and
push
push
down
on
that
and
minimize
it.

It's
also
your
girls,
you
can
wring
from
you
know
convex.
Then
you
go
in
concave
and
go
in
convex,
and
it's
just
you
know
everything.
All
the
master
wants
to
go
flat
from
convex
to
convex
miss
the
concave
portion
yeah.
So
you
got
to
have
something
that
forces
it
in
there.
But
then,
of
course,
you
got
at
people
that
high
noses
that
stick
out
a
lot
and
you
go.
You
have
broad
flat
noses
all
kinds
of
things
that
either
you
need
to
customize
your
file
or
you
need
to
have
some
post
production
system
that
customizes.

custom

face

masks

we
were
looking

earlier

plastic
shields

there

they
all
use
the

rubber
nose
portion
on
any
any
of
the
higher-end
masks.
It's
all
got.
The
cartridges
are
separate.
The
rubber
nose
portion
is
because
that's
what
actually
seals
well
I
mean
you
do
industrial
industry.

so
you
got
to
do
leak
tests
on
this
part
and
make
sure
that
you
can't
smell
anything,
because
if
you
can
that
it's
leaking
around
the
filters,
you
you
can
you
clog
up.
The
filters
like
that
you
can
do
a
blow

suck
test
is
a
simple
method,
but
then
also
with
the
organic
filter
cartridges
you're
supposed
to
do
a
banana,
essential
oil
smell
test
like
weekly,
your.

even
with
the
filters
on
you,
can
put
your
hands
over
there,
but

basic
idea
is
you
either
use
suckle
you
blow
so
for
the
inlet
you

do

there's

air
coming
in

know

stuck

coolest
things

large
masks

screen

plastic
view,
viewing
area
on
them
or
plastic
portion,

you're
painting
or
doing

real
easy
to
get
some
material
on
there
that
ruins
it
and
having
that
easily
replaceable
yeah.

the
thing
that
drops
all

way
down
to
your
cheekbones.

like
okay,
maybe
you
get

tiny
bit
of
peripheral
vision
down
there,
but
for
that
much
additional
complication,
that's
not
worth
it

dollar
replaceable
safety
glass
material
in
there
and
be
able
to
just
you
know,
shoot
I
got
a
bunch
of
paint
on
it
or
something.
