B
The
fourth
person
on
our
call
today
is
riddick.
He
is
our
new
mentee
for
this
project,
the
cncf
appointed.
I
had
a
process
where
we
could
retrieve
mentor
like
have
a
mentor-mentee
relationship
with
people
that
signed
up
so
vsr.
Thank
you.
C
C
A
Yeah,
I
think
it's
still
going
on,
but
it's
a
lot
more
quiet
than
it
was
a
few
months
ago.
D
A
But
the
good
thing
is:
it's:
it's
fairly
contained
mostly
to
a
certain
part
of
our
downtown.
Just
a
few
blocks.
I
think
yeah,
but
I
think
it's
like
from
the
outside.
Looking
in
it
might
look
a
lot
worse
than
than
it
is.
B
B
C
B
One
of
my
co-work,
one
of
my
co-workers,
lives
in
fort
collins
and
he
was
telling
me
that
their
local
agricultural
school
has
an
has
this
really
cool
measurement
that
they
do
and
it's
wattage
per
square
meter
of
sunlight.
So
it's
like
normally
that's
like
800
or
900
watts
per
square
meter,
and
it
was
like
six
there.
A
Hey
jody
yeah,
I
remember
you,
could
you
could
actually
stare
at
the
sun
because
there's
so
much
smoke
like
you
could
look
at
the
sun
and
it
wasn't
like
blinding.
You
know
it's
just
like
it
looked
like
the
moon,
just
a
faint
like
outline
dang,
that's
kind
of
cool.
I
guess
maybe
a
very
dystopian
yeah
yeah
they're.
C
A
C
B
Like
a
chemex
filter
and
fasten
it
to
something,
and
there
we
go
all
right,
so
this
is
all
the
other
people
that
I
would
assume
are
going
to
come
today.
I'm
already
expecting
it
does
everyone
else
know
if
we're
expecting
anybody
else,
all
right.
Well,
I'm
going
to
try
a
new
method
today,
because
I
feel,
like
these
meetings
tend
to
be
too
short,
because
it's
just
me
talking
the
whole
time.
So
I
was
going
to
start
with
an
open
floor
today.
A
I
can
give
a
quick
update
of
I'm
sure
what
I'm
working
on
so
I'm
gonna
have
a
pr
up,
hopefully
by
end
of
this
week
or
early
next
week,
of
the
parsing
and
creating
of
the
tray
state
and
transparent
headers,
so
yeah
for
the
w3c.
So
that's
that's
one
part
of
it.
So
it's
like
the
accepting
of
a
header
and
parsing
it
and
making
sure
that
it's
correct
and
if
it
isn't,
you
just
create
our
own
header.
A
So
the
spec
has
all
the
criteria
on
how
to
do
that.
So
that's
what
I'm
working
on
right
now!
That's
the
first
part
of
the
w3c
bit
so
pr
for
that
soon,
for
a
couple
of
pr's
for
that
scene,.
B
B
So
if
anybody
has
any
export
or
work
that
I
want
to
give
him,
I
was
going
to
give
him
the
open,
telemetry
exporter
tesla.
I
started
working
on
because
I
think
that's
that's
getting
a
little
bit
more
firmed
up
and
I
think
that
that
would
be
a
good
exercise
for
him
to
get
his
teeth,
wet
and
understand
his
teeth,
get
get
involved
in
the
project
and
start
to
understand
the
co-face
a
little
bit
more
or
whatever.
B
So
doing
that
I've
been
reviewing
a
lot
of
prs
this
week.
We
almost
have
our
sampling,
the
sampling
pr,
has
been
sort
of
a
slog
for
two
weeks,
but
I
think
it's
in
a
good
enough
state.
Now
that
we're
comfortable
with
I'm
probably
going
to
merge
that
in
today,
and
then
I
think
we
could
start
talking
about
doing
a
0
0
1
alpha
release,
but
I
want
to
get
other
people's
opinions
on
that
too.
B
Great
there's
also
been
a
new
a
new
player
in
the
ring.
His
name
is
forgive
me.
If
I'm
getting
this
wrong
gallibor,
he
is
working
on
getting
started
on
a
symphony
package
for
open,
telemetry
php,
which
I
think
would
be
really
nice,
because
that
will
really
help
to
help
with
wide
scale.
Adoption
of
open
telemetry
symphony
is
such
a
big
used
framework
in
php,
and
I
think
it
will
be
really
helpful
and
having
that
having
that
first
quote
unquote.
B
Framework
patrick
package
will
be
really
nice
because
that'll
help
us
to
determine
how
to
do
the
same
thing
for
wordpress
and
some
of
the
other,
like
the
other
big
installations
of
php,
where
we
can
really
help
to
use
open,
cylinder,
php.
Obviously,
those
implementation
details
are
not
going
to
be
nearly
the
same,
but
having
some
sort
of
external
package
interface
will
be
really
nice
to
continue
to
propel
us
forward.
B
Yet
that
that
may
be
another
good
project,
jody
is
like.
I
think
that
could
even
be
its
own
separate
project
board
of
of
like
what's
sort
of
looking
for
I'm
looking
for
like
integrations.
E
B
He
doesn't,
I
think
he
is
do
he
is
essential,
I
think,
from
what
he
was
saying
in
the
chat
room.
I've
actually
never
spoken
with
him.
I
just
like
dmd
with
him
and
talked
with
him
in
the
chat
and
he's
been.
I
think
he
took
the
package
that
we
have
currently
available
and
like
bundled
it
up
with
some
of
his
syntactic
sugar
internally
to
his
company
and
then
also
added
some
symphony
support
so
internally.
So
I
think
well
I'll,
follow
up
with
him.
B
E
B
Awesome
all
right
anything
else
on
the
open
floor,
then
we
can
talk
about
closed,
pull
requests
and
open
pull
requests.
I
guess.
B
So
the
open
pull
requests
that
are
important.
The
probability
sampling
based
on
trace
id
is
the
one
that
I
was
talking
about.
This
is
this.
This
guy
is
also
new
he's
one
of
the
guys
from
amazon
shove
nick
has
a
pr
that
does
probability
sampling
based
on
the
trace
id
hex
string
and
we're
discussing
whether
like
whether
or
not
you
use
15
or
16
bits
for
making
that
determination
and
the
too
long
generators.
B
It
seems
like
it's
relatively
unimportant,
so
we'll
probably
I'll
merge
that
pr
in
later
today,
and
then
we
should
have
probably
probabilistic
sampling
based
on
the
trace
id,
which
is
really
that's
a
really
big
important
thing
for
like
water
scale
adoption,
because
we
don't.
Obviously
people
aren't
going
to
want
to
sample
everything
or
also
just
come
to
a
screeching
halt
in
production.
On
these
gigantic
services.
B
B
Let's
see
there
was
an
always
off
trace
example:
fix
that
is
remote
function.
Amber
did
a
wonderful
job
of
that
and
a
lot
of
people
tell
them
to
thank
you
for
the
thank
you
for
a
contribution
there
and
then
there's
been
a
couple.
Other
small,
like
renaming
and
confusing
comic
fixes,
but
those
are
like.
Those
are
the
main
changes
that
we've
seen
in
the
last
week.
A
B
Naming
updates,
which
should
be
mostly
complete,
non-inclusive
comments,
should
be
that
one
is
done.
I
just
never
closed
the
issue.
That's
great
just
closed
it
now
probability,
sampler
is
just
about
finished.
That
is
remote
function
amber
finished,
so
we
can
close
this
one.
B
Too
then,
let's
see
what
other
issues
we
got
the
open,
telemetry
explorer,
which
right
guys
we're
going
to
get
him
to
work
on
and
then
there's
there's
some
more
there's
like
a
couple,
more
small
ones,
but
nothing
crazy.
So
we
should
probably
come
up
with
some
new
tickets.
If
anybody's
interested
in
helping
me
come
up
with
some
new
tickets.
That
would
be
great.
We
probably
need
to
take
a
look
through
this
back
in
the
change
log
recently,
because
they've
still
been
actively
maintaining
the
spec
and
making
small
changes.
B
B
B
Well,
we'll
see
you
all
here
next
same
time
same
place
next
week.
