Description
cncf-opentelemetry meeting-2's Personal Meeting Room
A
All
right,
we'll
begin
with
a
brief
update
or
of
the
segs
I'll
read
out
the
sig
check-ins
and
then
we'll
move
on
to
the
topics
of
the
day.
First
is
the
spec
we've
released
1.12
last
week
and
applied
refined
requirement
levels
to
existing
semantic
inventions?
A
We've
typically
had
a
separate
section
here
for
metrics.
I
suggest
we
remove
it
now
that
metrics
work
is
not
it's
not
certainly
not
complete,
but
the
metric
specification
work
as
a
separate
effort
is
mostly
wound
down.
A
A
Will
we
eventually
replace
it
with
logging,
then
or
would
it
whatever?
Our
next
push
is
exactly
that's
what
I'm
thinking
logs
is
already
an
item
here,
and
I
would
expect
probably
once
we
finish
the
main
thrust
on
logs
at
some
point
later
this
year,
early
next
year,
we'd
probably
remove
logs
as
a
separate
section,
because
at
that
point
it's
just
spec
work
right.
A
B
Oops
we
talked
about
this
at
the
specs
egg
last
week
a
bit,
but
it
would
be
good
to
have
input
from
containers
as
to
what
level
of
stability
you
think
is
appropriate
for
the
generated
code.
Specifically,
I
think
it's
what
we're
talking
about
here
or
where
there's
a
potential
disagreement
on
exactly
what's
needed.
A
Okay,
all
right,
so
please
review
this
again,
even
if
you're
not
on
the
tc
or
you're,
not
a
sort
of
regular
on
the
spec
meeting,
it's
always
useful
to
get
thumbs
up
and
thumbs
down
and
a
bit
of
feedback
from
maintainers
and
contributors
to
open
telemetry
on
on
major
spec
issues
like
this
or
protocol
like
this
cool.
Thank
you,
anthony
php,
we're
making
progress
on
the
required
for
beta
board
for
java
released
1.15
on
friday
same
for
java,
instrumentation
updates
or
javascript
python.
Metrics
rc2
is
to
be
released
this
week
for
the
python
folks.
C
We
expect
to
make
a
release
this
week
and
we
hope
that
the
next
one
can
be
a
stable
one.
Awesome
cool.
A
Net
no
significant
updates,
1.3
stable,
was
done
about
a
week
ago
for
go
working
on
the
matrix
sdk
alpha
54,
complete
27
inch,
open
issues.
32
are
closed
for
c
plus
the
metrics
sdk
release
candidate
is
36
percent,
complete,
seven
open
and
four
closed
collector
point.
Five
four
is
to
be
released
this
week,
all
right,
so
that's
it
for
the
sig
updates.
The
only
topic
on
the
agenda
is
the
june
20th
u.s
holiday.
There's
a
question
of:
should
we
keep
it
or
skip
this
meeting
in
addition
to
being
a
u.s
holiday?
A
A
All
right
that
was
very
quick,
so
we'll
skip
next
week
again,
one
more
reminder:
if
you're
interested
please
attend
the
hotel
community
day,
I
think
austin
and
daniel
and
various
others
have
done
a
ton
of
work,
organizing
it
it's
going
to
be
really
exciting.
You
can
attend
virtually
or
in
person.
I
will
be
attending
virtually,
but
I
know
people
like
austin
and
daniel
and
various
others
will
be
there
in
person
as
well.
