From YouTube: OpenJS Foundation Board Meeting - January 2022
Description
No description was provided for this meeting.
If this is YOUR meeting, an easy way to fix this is to add a description to your video, wherever mtngs.io found it (probably YouTube).
A
All
right,
this
is
todd
moore.
Let's
call
the
january
28
2022
session
of
the
open
js
foundation
board
to
order.
A
B
Okay
welcome
everybody.
First
up
for
today
we
have
approval
of
meeting
minutes
from
our
december
3rd
meeting
of
the
open,
js
foundation
public
session
board
meeting.
Would
somebody
like
to
make
a
motion
to
adopt
the
minutes.
A
C
B
Thank
you,
okay,
very
good.
The
meeting
minutes
are
approved.
Thank
you,
everybody.
Okay,
our
agenda
for
today,
first
off,
obviously,
we've
already
approved
the
minutes.
We'll
go
through
a
certification
update,
have
a
discussion
on
javascript
landia.
Our
cpc
directors
will
take
us
through
the
cpc,
update
and
a
quick
standards
working
group
update
and
then
updates
on
projects
and
marketing.
Does
anybody
have
anything
they
would
like
to
add
to
the.
B
Agenda:
okay:
let's
proceed
so
up
on
the
screen.
We
have
the
current
open,
js
foundation
board
directory
a
reminder
to
anybody
who's
watching
this.
We
are
currently
accepting
nominations
for
the
silver
and
gold
membership
seats,
as
well
as
the
end
user
membership
seat
and
just
as
a
very
brief
overview
of
how
this
works,
we're
collecting
all
of
the
nominations.
Right
now
we
will
run
the
silver
and
the
gold
elections
initially
and
then,
after
that,
immediately
after
that,
the
end
user,
the
end
user,
nomination
or
sorry
the
end
user
election.
D
Yeah,
just
a
quick
update,
just
want
to
thank
everybody
right
off
the
bat
who
followed
our
cyber
monday
sale.
I
know
we
sent
you
a
lot
of
communications,
but
we
did
have
a
lot
of
interest.
We
exceeded
our
goals.
I
especially
want
to
thank
the
partnership
we
had
with
the
node
project.
D
D
We
had
such
a
great
number
of
people
apply
for
the
lyft
scholarships,
so
we
will
be
convening
shortly
and
getting
that
all
squared
away,
and
so,
if
you
applied
for
lyft
scholarship,
you
should
be
hearing
from
us
in
the
next
few
weeks,
we're
still
having
some
interest
on
corporate
subscriptions
and
we
have
a
team
at
the
linux
foundation
who
are
working
with
many
companies
if
you're,
not
part
of,
if
you're,
if
you
haven't
heard
from
the
linux
foundation
or
from
us,
we're
open
to
anyone
on
those
corporate
subscriptions.
D
I
also
want
to
let
you
know
that
we're
having
a
training
and
node.js
training
at
openjs
world
from
david
mark
clements
david
helped
create
the
training
and
the
certification,
along
with
folks
at
node
source
and
near
form.
So
if
that's
something
you're
interested
in
that's
part
of
registration
at
openjs
world
for
75
dollars,
you
get
a
full
day
training
and
just
one
more
piece
of
feedback
we
heard
from
the
people
taking
exams,
particularly
if
you're
in
you
know
areas
where
your
bandwidth
isn't
super
strong.
D
C
Right
so
just
starting
off
with
the
charter
changes
not
requiring
board
approval.
There
was
a
an
update
to
the
governance
document
or
the
charter
document,
just
changing
links
from
I
think
head
to
main,
so
no
substantive
change,
but
that
was
affecting
how
the
links
were
being
followed,
so
that
change
made
happened
next
page
in
terms
of
project
related
updates
and
collaboration
updates.
Don't
have
any
new
projects
or
new
collaboration
networks
this
this
time
to
refer
to
so
on
next
page.
C
In
terms
of
things,
cpc
is
working
has
been
working
on
since
the
last
board
meeting
we've
mentioned
the
community
fund
in
the
past,
but
we've
actually
opened
up
a
new
repo
in
the
the
opengs
foundation
organization.
Where
we're
working
on
documenting
the
community
fund
the
different
ways
you
can
apply
for
it.
The
reasons
that
we
support
the
different
initiatives
very
much
still
a
work
in
progress,
but
it's
it's
a
place
where
you
know.
If
you're
interested
you
can
always
take
a
look
at
where
we're
at
and
even
make
suggestions.
C
Technical
strategy
is,
is
another
effort
that
the
cpc
has
been
working
on
and
we've
opened
up
a
repo
there
to
again
start
to
build
that
out
in
the
public.
We've
got
some
initial
sort
of
top-level
documents
in
there
still
a
long
way
to
go,
but
it's
you
know
a
repo
where
you
can
see
that
the
the
work
and
progress
we're
making
there
as
well.
C
We've
got
an
issue
on
the
next
agenda
to
talk
about
security
and
how
the
foundation
you
know
can
help
support
projects
on
that
front,
so
that
I
think,
will
be
an
interesting
discussion
in
the
next
meeting.
If
you
want
to
follow
along
on
that
one,
certainly
a
timely
and
important
issue.
These
days
there
was
a
nice
and
lively
discussion
last
time
about
license.
Checking
we
had
a
guest
from
the
linux
foundation
and
we're
discussing
you
know,
maybe
if
the
linux
foundation
can
help
support
that
kind
of
requirement.
C
You
know
for
maintainers
in
terms
of
like
making
sure
we're
on
top
of
licenses
and
that
they're
in
compliance
with
the
vip
policy
that
we
have
the
foundation
and
so
forth,
and
then
the
last
one
I
have
there
is
we've
mentioned
work
around
just
clarifying
the
requirements
on
coc
policies
and
processes,
and
we've
got
that
lined
up
for
our
next
cpc
working
session
to
you
know
basically
workshop
that
and
come
up
with
some
things
we
can
put
into
one
of
the
repos
in
terms
of
process
templates
and
languages
and
stuff
to
support
the
projects.
C
A
I
had
one
question
michael,
so
is
the
cpc
membership
fairly
constant
at
this
point,
any
any
new
news
or
interesting
things
going
on
there.
C
It's
been
fairly
consistent.
I
think
we
had
one
member
who's
joined
in
the
last
month
or
two
that
I
can
remember,
but
yeah
we
have.
We
have
a
pretty
good
core
of
people
who
who
show
up
regularly
and
are
contributing
to
that
work.
It's
certainly
open
if
people
are
are
interested
and
and
are
interested
in
this
kind
of
work,
we're
always
looking
to
bring
on
new
people
and
voices,
but
yeah.
We
have
a
pretty
good
core
working
away.
A
Is
the
cpc
doing
anything
special
for
security
these
days.
C
C
A
Okay
and
and
brian
bellendorf
just
came
and
spoke
to
the
board
about
the
open,
ssf
and
the
things
that
are
going
on
there
is
there
anything
that
we
ought
to
highlight
from
that
to
the
team.
I.
C
Think
the
suggestion
that
was
you
know
a
good
one
was
that
we
should
actually
bring
him
to
talk
to
the
cpc
and
start
engaging.
The
cpc
in
terms
of
you
know
the
initiatives
that
they
have
and
how
the
the
cpc
working
with
the
staff
at
the
foundation
can.
You
know,
support
those
efforts.
You
know
make
sure
the
projects
are
aware
and
work
with
the
the
ossf
to
figure
out
how
you
know
both
they
and
other
companies
who
depend
on
javascript
can
help
support
projects
in
making
progress
on
some
of
those
important
security
areas.
C
C
Yeah,
it's
certainly
certainly
an
area
where
you
know.
Recent
events
have
shown
how
important
it
is,
and
it
is
a
non-trivial
amount
of
work.
So
it
you
know
it's
it's
both
it's
both
important,
but
we
also
have
to
figure
out
who
who's
going
to
contribute
to
to
get
things
done,
and
so
this
is
a
good
time
for
companies
who
are
depending
on
javascript
and
our
projects,
in
particular
to
think
about
how
they
should
contribute-
and
I
think,
there's
a
very
good
case
to
be
made
that
it's.
D
So
if
you
go
to
our
collaboration
page,
we
have
a
public
calendar
on
our
openjs
website,
so
you
can
go
to
the
public
calendar
and
just
hit
on
tuesday.
You'll
see
our
cross
project
council
cpc
meetings
there
every
other
tuesday,
and
you
can
just
add
it
to
your
calendar.
So.
D
All
right
standards
working
group,
we
have
an
active
group
there
as
well.
We've
been
working
on
a
kind
of
a
learning,
spec
ed
resource
site.
Then
the
big
plan
is
to
have
it
its
own
unique
website.
It's
gonna
start
out
as
a
page
on
the
open
js,
but
a
lot
of
that
content's
been
curated,
so
that's
been
moving
moving
along
and
then
the
working
group
last
year
kind
of
created
a
set
of
six
priorities
and
those
are
detailed
in
a
most
recent
issue.
D
So
the
working
group
met
this
week
and
thought:
what
do
we
want
to
prioritize
next
after
learning
and
sort
of
0.6
on
how
openjs
foundation
helps
make
standards
bodies
nicer
places
to
work?
So
there
was
a
nice
discussion
this
week,
and
these
are
a
few
of
the
ideas
that
we're
going
to
be
working
on
so
creating
a
forum
looking
at
training
and
recruiting
new
editors,
new
spec
editors
and
then
looking
at
a
recognition
and
awards
program
and
and
michael
and
sarah.
This
is
something
the
cpc
may
want
to
do
as
well.
A
E
D
Cncf
has
the
chopwood
kerry
water
awards,
and
I
know
that
there's
a
lot
of
unsung
heroes
working
in
the
standards
communities.
A
lot
of
those
are
recognized
within
the
standards
bodies,
but
we
sure
appreciate
the
work
they
do
too.
So
that
was
something
that
they're
looking
at.
A
D
C
D
Project
updates-
and
this
is
what
I
love,
but
I
always
know
I'm
missing
folks
when
we
list
some
of
these.
So
if
we've
missed
you
please
reach
out
to
any
of
us
or
alex
and
me
we
also
have
a
pr
marketing
channel
in
our
slack
and
share
with
us
some
of
the
great
things
you're
working
on,
but
just
wanted
to
share
all
this
all
the
great
activity
happening
with
electron,
eslint,
node,
red
jquery
native
script,
not
ship
they're,
always
shipping,
but
they're,
holding
monthly
mentoring
sessions.
D
I
want
to
make
an
extra
plug
for
that
check
out
their
twitter
and
they
have
all
of
that
great
information.
The
node
team
wow,
just
over
and
above
over
the
holidays,
worked
really
hard
with
a
security
release
and
as
well
as
a
a
new
12.22.8
release.
So
thank
you.
Everyone,
appium
is
continuing
to
rocket
and
amp
had
two
big
releases
in
december,
as
well
with
bento,
which
was
huge
and
their
amp
2.2
plug-in
for
wordpress,
which
is
very
popular.
D
D
E
Thanks
robin
and
yeah
just
a
few
minutes
ago,
I
noticed
my
video
wasn't
working
quite
right,
so
hopefully
you
guys
can
excuse
the
just
the
profile
picture
for
now.
So
before
I
dive
into
this,
a
lot
of
these
screenshots
are
from
the
beginning
of
the
month.
So
what
you're
seeing
is
already
going
to
be
a
little
bit
a
little
bit
outdated,
but
we
can
see
that
our
call
for
papers
for
openjs
world
2022
has
done
well
on
twitter.
E
We
can
see
that
there
actually
is,
has
been
an
increase
in
profile
visits
from
the
time
this
was
taken,
but
we
have
also
had
a
minor
drop
in
followers
and
there
were
not
very
many
tweets
at
this
point
because
of
the
holidays
and
it
being
the
beginning
of
the
year
and
the
beginning
of
the
first
month
of
the
year.
Next
slide.
E
So
here's
just
a
three-month
summary:
I
don't
think
these.
This
is
a
slide
that
has
always
been
included,
but
I
think
with
it
being
the
beginning
of
the
year,
it
can
be
helpful
to
see
a
few
months
side
by
side
so
again,
because
this
was
taken
at
the
beginning
of
january,
there's
only
one
tweet
shown
for
january,
so
that
should
look
pretty
different
in
the
future.
E
What
what
we
have
seen
more
so
with
twitter
than
with
linkedin,
is
that,
despite
having
fewer
updates,
we're
still
getting
about
the
same,
if
not
a
little
bit
more
engagement
when
it
comes
to
sharing
and
interactions
on
the
the
to
the
right
to
slides
or
screenshots,
the
two
images
on
the
right
side
of
the
slide
and
next
slide.
Please.
E
And
so
here
we
have
the
same
sort
of
metrics,
but
for
linkedin
and
not
really
seeing
the
same
trend
as
we
do
with
twitter.
I
think
it's
it's
safe
to
say
that
we
will
be
adding
more
content
to
linkedin,
giving
it
some
more
priority
going
forward
next
slide.
E
E
Our
views
were
down
slightly,
but
overall,
the
trend
is
towards
growth.
If
we
look
back
at
the
year,
there
have
been
there's
been
a
tremendous
growth
in
views
and
also
in
channel
subscriptions
next
slide.
Just
quick.
C
E
Oh,
this
is
just
for
the
openjs
foundation
channel.
So
if,
if
there
are
separate
channels
that
are
being
run
by
the
projects,
I
would
need
to
gather
that
information,
and
then
I
could
manually
put
it
all
together.
A
D
Why
don't
we
put?
We
shouldn't
make
a
cpc
issue
on
that
and
let's,
let's
explore
how
we
do
that.
E
Okay,
let's
just
move
on
so
this
is
a
new
metric
that
I
pulled
and
it's
our
youtube
audience
by
gender,
and
so
it's
virtually
none
for
women.
I
think
there
was
like
2
versus
98,
so
I
think
most
of
us
could
agree,
there's
room
for
improvement
here
and
I
just
thought
it
was
interesting
to
point
out
and
for
us
to
keep
in
mind.
E
And
these
are
some
of
our
recent
posts
to
the
blog.
We
have
a
lot
more
in
the
pipeline.
I
think
that's
it.
E
Not
quite
website
metrics,
and
actually
I
did
have
something
to
say
about
this,
so
certification
getting
the
most
of
our
visits
to
at
the
end
of
the
year.
In
the
beginning
of
the
year,
I
think
correlates
to
the
cyber
monday
sale
and
our
sort
of
sale
on
certifications.
E
D
Great
thanks
alex
just
a
quick
event:
update
bring
you
on
the
next
slide.
Health
and
safety
always
still
monitoring
that
we
are
looking
at
adding
a
booster
mandate,
we're
doing
that
in
partnership
with
the
linux
foundation.
Who
has
experts
on
hand
as
well
to
advise
us
so
keep
watching
that
page
february.
1St
will
be
an
early
decision
on
that
next
slide.
D
Content.
Thank
you
to
our
program
committee.
Super
awesome
thanks,
shane
and
dan
on
our
program
committee
as
well.
Our
awesome
board
members
who
are
very
active
we've
got
some
great
names
lined
up.
These
are
all
yeses.
D
Guillermo
is
sort
of
tentative
with
copid,
but
you
know
brian,
who
just
spoke
matteo
corey
doctorow,
who
we're
excited
to
have
speak
dr
hermans,
maggie
and
rachel,
so
more
names
will
be
coming
down
the
the
transom
soon
and
so
we're
pretty
excited.
D
We
have
some
tracks
coming
in,
cfps
are
open
through
mid-february,
so
please
get
those
in.
There
is
a
kind
of
like
a
clause
and
ask
me
anything
kind
of
a
an
faq
with
dan
and
joe
and
beth
griggs
dan
cousino
from
godaddy
who's
on
the
call.
So
that's
on
tuesday.
So
if
you're
thinking
about
submitting
a
cfp,
that's
a
good
thing
to
watch,
you
get
some
best
practices
and
we'll
do
a
recap
of
that.
D
Okay
next
slide,
there's
our
t-shirts
front
and
back
looking
for
a
corporate
sponsor,
and
your
many
of
you
are
all
hearing
from
me
already,
but
I've
been
reaching
out
to
companies
far
and
wide,
who
are
javascript
fans
and
users.
So
hopefully,
if
you're
interested
we're
going
to
have
a
really
robust
sponsor
floor
that
we're
sharing
with
the
cd
foundation,
so
we'd
love
to
have
you
sponsor.
D
And
while
we
are
branding
our
event,
openjs
world
cdcon
is
co-locating
with
us,
as
well
as
the
graphql
foundation
alex
on
our
team,
help
create
some
great
joint
branding
that
we'll
use
for
some
of
the
keynote
stage
and
registration.
So
that's
how
this
is
all
coming
together.
A
D
A
Staff
again
for
a
great
great
afternoon
here
of
of
meeting
and
everyone
who's
continues
to
contribute
into
the
openjs
foundation
foundation.
We're
doing
great
and
it's
great
to
see.
Thank
you.
Chris.
