Hi
hi
everyone
thanks
for
joining
open,
Jas
world
2020
is
still
on
track
for
June,
23rd
and
24th.
Although
you
know
it
is
really
quite
concerning
what's
happening
in
the
world
with
the
coronavirus,
so
we
are
monitoring
the
situation
very
closely
with
the
Linux
Foundation.
We've
also
consulted
with
a
CDC
expert
to
monitor
the
situation,
so
I
urge
you
all
to
go
to
our
event
website.
There
is
a
banner,
a
novel
virus
update
banner
and
it
has
the
latest
information
from
our
organization
and
the
LF
on
how
we're
tracking
that.
D
But,
as
we
stand
again,
everything
is
on
track
with
building
out
great
content
sponsorships
and
we
do
have
sponsorships
available.
Ticket
sales
are
up
and,
as
you
know,
we're
co-locating
with
open
source
summit
North
America.
So
if
you
would
like
to
attend
both
there's
discounts
on
both
sides
for
either-or,
so
you
can
experience
that
through
the
the
forum
it's
a
30%
discount.
D
D
Collaborate,
collaborate
or
summit
following
and
what
we're
looking
at
is
having
a
broad,
open,
Jazz
foundation,
collaborator
summit
and
then
some
of
the
projects
are
also
choosing
to
have
some
breakout
technical
project,
collaborator,
summit
tracks
or
breakout
sessions.
At
the
same
time,
and
just
one
other
thing,
I
think
that's
not
on
the
slide.
Rachel
did
a
blog
earlier
this
month
on
diversity,
scholarships
that
are
available
so
I
urge
you
all
to
take
a
look
at
that
and
if
you
know
folks
who
would
qualify
for
underrepresented
groups,
we'd
love
to
have
you
apply
for
those
scholarships.
A
D
A
C
F
D
The
contingencies
that
have
been
you
know
that
the
event
team
have
sort
of
been
looking
at
have
primarily
been
on
postponing
events.
There
have
been
a
few,
maybe
a
couple
of
smaller
events
that
were
outright
canceled,
but
I
think
it's
too
soon
to
say:
I
think
there
again
monitoring
the
situation
and
I
think
it.
The
situation
is
started.
Changing
weekly.
F
Yeah,
that
seems
very
reasonable
to
me.
One
thing
that
might
be
good,
although
I
think
it
is
a
little
premature
to
look
into
as
aside
from
postponed.
In
the
event
the
collaborator
summit,
which
is
associated,
it
might
be
good
to
like
look
into
what
kind
of
remote
options
we
might
need,
especially
if
there's
additional
planning
that's
necessary.
Okay,.
D
F
And
for
what
it's
worth,
the
node.js
project
is
already
kind
of
looking
into
a
bit
of
a
collaborator
wide
summit
like
about
the
future,
a
node.
That's
a
little
bit
separate
from
the
collaborator
summit
itself
and
I
think
we
were
examining
and
debating
between
in
person
versus
remote.
So
there
may
be
some
prior
art
there.
Where
are
stuff,
that
we
can
build
on
okay,.
D
A
D
B
B
D
Open
Jas
world,
if
you
go
to
events,
dot,
Linux,
Foundation,
org,
slash,
open,
Jas,
world
you'll,
see
a
banner
update
or
if
you
just
put
in
your
search
engine
open
Jas
world
you'll,
see
the
banner
right
at
the
top
right
under
our
logo
for
open
Jas
world
novel
coronavirus
update
just
hit
that
last
update
was
right.
There
yep.
B
D
Our
board
meeting
that
we
had
in
February
I
guess
it
was
February,
had
a
discussion
about
changing
our
bylaws
to
always
ensure
that
we
have
a
silver
member.
You
know
we
have
quite
a
rich
set
of
silver
members
already
and
we
wanted
to
ensure
that
we
are
represented
on
the
board
by
a
silver
member.
So
the
current
math,
as
you
might
say,
had
it
structured.
So
we
would
have
been
eliminating
that
silver
membership
based
on
the
number
of
gold
and
platinum
directors
that
we
had
so
with
the
new
bylaw
change
that
the
board
approved.
D
C
D
B
Okay,
next
item
directed
funding
policy,
another
topic
from
the
last
private
session
of
the
board
I'll
take
this
one.
So
in
the
over
the
past
number
of
board
meetings,
the
board
has
been
discussing
what
to
do
about
some
questions
about
directed
funding
and
crowdfunding,
and
things
like
that,
essentially,
funding
which
is
different
from
regular
membership
dues.
B
In
the
last
board
meeting
the
the
board
had
had
had
some
discussion
on
at
least
one
of
these
topics,
which
is
if
an
organization
would
like
to
provide
additional
incremental
funding.
So
if
there
are
already
a
member
of
the
open,
Jas,
Foundation
they've
already
paid
their
dues,
but
they
they
would
like
to
provide
some
additional
funding,
which
is
specific
for
a
specific
project.
B
B
B
All
right
very
good,
so
then,
on
our
end,
we
will
be
getting
this
text
up
on
the
website
to
make
sure
that
other
people
are
aware
of
this.
This
particular
type
of
funding
we're
looking
at
as
a
membership
benefit,
so
we
will
fund.
This
will
be
on
the
join
page,
where
the
other
membership
benefits
are
written
out.
Pretty.
D
So
we're
doing
well
on
our
certification
exams
and
how
they're
rolling
out
six
hundred
and
thirty
people
have
registered.
Forty
have
passed
for
context,
we're
finding
a
lot
of
people
do
register.
Then
they
spend
some
time
studying
and
then
they
do
take
the
tests.
We
also
had
a
great
number
of
people
sign
up
for
the
class
on
our
sign
up
for
the
certification
exam
during
the
holiday
sale
post
around
Thanksgiving.
D
So
that's
great
we're
also
looking
at
rolling
out
some
exams
and
second-language
looking
at
China
and
Japan,
perhaps
in
other
countries
where
we
can
have
some
community
support,
so
look
for
that
in
the
coming
year
and
we're
working
through
all
of
the
logistics
to
do
that
again,
we
do
have
go
ahead.
Question.
D
D
E
So,
in
terms
of
project
applications,
we
haven't
had
any
new
application.
Since
the
last
meeting,
we
are
continuing
to
pro
the
process
of
onboarding
some
of
the
existing
projects
that
we've
already
mentioned.
As
far
as
I'm
aware,
there's
no
current
blockers
that
were
aware
of-
and
you
know,
in
terms
of
needing
any
help,
they're
just
working
through
the
process,
and
that
takes
some
time
some
highlights.
E
The
process
for
working
groups,
in
particular
the
standards
working
group,
wants
to
be
chartered
I'm,
so
getting
that
in
place,
and
then
finally,
the
last
thing
I'd
like
to
mention
is
that
we're
entering
the
elections
period
for
voting
members.
So
the
process
of
you
know
informing
the
impact
projects
that
they
need
to
go
through
their
election
cycle
to
Rena
nominate
the
members
for
the
next
year,
as
well
as
spinning
up
the
election
process
for
the
non-impact
members
to
select
their
representatives
getting
started.
D
B
D
Sure
yeah
Rachel's
got
a
Spring
Break,
so
February
a
great
busy
month
in
the
in
the
blogging
world.
So
thanks
to
everyone
who
worked
with
Rachel
and
the
team
on
this
great
content,
you'll
see
the
views
were
quite
strong
throughout
the
month
and
really
kind
of
holding
strong,
again
I
think
December
the
high
point
with
the
conference,
but
really
great
to
see
all
this
all
the
wonderful
stories
coming
out
from
the
communities-
and
you
know
we
do
have
some
support
on
this.
D
Website
metrics
are
still
growing
strong,
strong
I
know
we're
going
to
be
digging
into
some
more
telemetry
on
on
some
of
this
data
as
it's
coming
through,
but
it's
it
again
is
really
holding
steady
or
particularly
for
a
month
without
you
know
any
major
announcements
or
conferences.
So
this
is
good
news.
D
On
February
I
think,
if
you
go
back
to
the
blog's
that
really
sort
of
drives
it,
and
it
could
just
be
sometimes
I-
think
some
of
the
the
thought
leaders
like
it
was
a
team
in
Colombia
doing
the
work
with
the
women.
The
young
women
in
the
community,
any
sort
of
great
projects,
actually
sometimes
those
little
behind
the
scenes
that
Rachel's
been
amplifying
from
the
conference
had
we're
really
popular.
Just
those
little
short
snippets,
so
I
mean
I.
E
B
A
No
just
thank
you
to
the
staff
for
continuing
to
give
us
great
support,
and
we've
got
a
tough
couple
of
months
here
to
watch
and
see
how
this
all
progresses
towards.
We,
we
handle
our
event
but
I'm
sure
we'll
all
work
together
to
go
and
make
that
work
as
best
as
we
possibly
can
you
accommodate
everybody.
We
can.
