Recession he's like oh, don't worry about recession, you're poor, I'm rich, it's gonna be great, so he had a couple of comments. I'd like to give a little bit of perspective on those. So here we go. Let's see what kevin o'leary has to say about what a wonderful recession. This is.

Got inflation fears out there? That is one of just many worries weighing on the averages, but in times of high volatility you gotta start looking around. Where can investors go for opportunities.

In kevin o'leary and kevin, you are always on the lookout for opportunities if we are dealing with high inflation. First of all, do you think it sticks around and if that's the case, where would you be looking.

I'd like to look for businesses that are growing their cash flows, have strong balance sheets and are servicing the demand at the time, and you know it's true- that we have inflation and there's a lot of concern about a recession. I don't see any of that in the short term, I mean.

In almost every geography in the u.s right now things are booming things.

Flows are better than they've ever been, and I know we should be pessimistic, but I can't get there right now, because I'm trying to hire people- and I can't find I can't find- try and find a server in los angeles for an operation for minimum wage 15. I have to pay 25 in some cases, just to get them to come to work. So there's a lot of demand at all levels for employment. So I'm not that worried about the classic recession. Energy prices.

Okay, I'm going to pause right there, ah kevin okay, so a couple of things about what he said here, so we can see in the bar there. It says inflation playbook where to find opportunities all right. Okay, so he's he's coming out right away. uh He gives you the standard spiel. Oh I look for strong. uh I look. I look for good cash flow and a strong balance sheet uh and and something that's useful.

Okay, like welcome to 101 of of like high school, investing, except there's, no creativity behind that. That's fine! If that's your playbook, okay, uh we're talking about inflation, though, and we're and he's he's talking about how oh sales are booming than ever before. Well, okay, what happened to to create those sales? What what actually? What was the event that allowed for like so much money to be suddenly be spending in the system?

Now we talked about 30 different companies- I don't know what verticals they're in, but clearly it was in a number of verticals uh and he can't find people to work. So what does this mean? Well we're talking about inflation. Folks. That means that the reason the sales are booming is because there's more money than there ever was before right, because during this uh past event, the last two years the governments have dumped, almost 80 percent of all money in circulation is out there now and now it's just starting to trickle down.

Remember that trickle down economics, it's just starting to trickle down into everything else. Now the people who had the money before ever reached any of these companies were the banks and the investment funds, and they got to play with this money before it ever reached. What kevin's talking about and now people are now not able to uh fulfill this demand because there's so much money dumped in the system. This is gonna cause like he's talking about the short term too. I don't think you should be in this kind of situation.

Looking at short-term trends, the reason being is because it's very dangerous uh you can be having all kinds of fun playing in the water. You know on a sandy beach, it's a beautiful day and oh wow yeah, the the the surf is more beautiful than ever like there's. There's awesome waves coming in they're the best waves we've ever had in our life. Well guess: what's causing those waves, it is a giant tsunami.

That's in the distance, that's coming in to wipe out the entire coastline, and that is what's happening right now in this economy. Kevin o'leary doesn't seem to be looking at that and doesn't seem to be too concerned about that he's kind of looking at. Oh there's all this money right now. Oh I'm so excited, there's so much money right now, he's gonna get it. Meanwhile, there's a tsunami that's coming in, and it's gonna like completely boom everything all 30 of his companies. Everything boom!

That's what's happening to our money. He can't find he can't find people to work. He's he's talking about how he has to uh offer them more money to be able to even show up. Why is that? Why?

It's because the the cost of everything has gone up so significantly to mit to to keep up with all this money, that's been dumped in the system.

I don't understand uh quite why he's making he's he's looking at this in such a short term, uh because this is dangerous.

uh You got to think long term in these kind of things where, where, where are you going to be when that tsunami arrives so to all those who are listening, ask yourself: are you positioned in a good place for that tsunami? That's coming in. Do you understand that, like are you in a place that is going to allow you to survive, if not thrive, when that tsunami hits.
