Weekly town hall meeting August 21st 2023: today's agenda is small projects and development updates. Marketing updates so bobson take it away with project and development updates. Please.

Thank you Kelly. So, uh to begin with, uh we have our engineering Matrix. So this is the same data metrics I've just shown the summary here.

B

uh This is a comparison with comparison over last week's engineering, performance or output, which compared against uh previous three months so the last uh a week, our um changely time or the time for uh release from the first commit.

B

uh It has been just three four three point: four days which is 87 or like 88 times faster than the entirety of previous three months and uh moving on to the throughput, which is the number of uh Piers per our developer, that is whopping 110 or 111 percentage more than uh at the average of previous three months. Essentially 8.5 per week uh was the average, but now it's uh 18 and our deployment frequencies also increased dramatically. We have two deployments uh per week, uh the last one.

The CFR is probably not very accurate, but we have no, but at the same time it shows that we had no uh errors on the on the production and most of this uh these comes from the activity around uh together or the Toto or the app, and it will be across various uh repositories for total.

uh The primary uh development, repo plus the smart contract ones and the related ones, and also we have been uh creating a lot of supporting supporting tools, primarily various blockchain deployment or tools, so those activity is uh reflecting our ramp up towards release of total.

So this is some excellent metrics on display here, so that let's uh move on to individual product updates next slide yeah.

So uh we've been trying to finalize the release of peer Place one, uh and uh what has happened is we have found out uh specials case scenario which we were aware, but we didn't anticipate to run into uh in the in the test Nets. So this is an interesting uh scenario where, when we are when we are trying to withdraw the native assets, or rather any assets from uh peer place to ethereum, uh if the balance on the sun account is uh zero, there was a possibility of uh this being considered as a withdrawal.

That is, if you're, trying to uh refill this an account instead of refilling. The sun's might end up thinking that this is a withdrawal and the sun icon will never get uh refilled.

So, due to the extensive testing on the test, net or sun, account was emptied out and uh we we have ended up, triggering the special case on on the test net. This means we have to handle the withdrawal of the Native asset from Pair place to ethereum.

You know as a special case uh that is not all the uh withdrawal attempts or the whenever we are sending funds from any paperless account to Sun account, and not all of them will be a uh will, be an attempt to withdraw the funds so we're making uh these changes right now and in addition to this, we also had a couple of other uh fixes which went in in the last couple of weeks. uh So this means we'll have to do uh another uh Beta release.

It will be 1.5.25 uh this week and we will uh roll it out for the public test net group and this has to be uh tested before.

uh Oh, we we proceed with the mainnet, so this was not exactly a bug, but um we were aware of the the scenario, but we were anticipating uh to handle this in a in a slightly different manner after the minute release. But now, since we have ended up reproducing it on the test net, we have no way but to um addresses.

So that's on pair plus one yeah. Let's move on to the next slide on purpose 2, most of our work, um or rather work where we can, where something is reflected in the Repose, around uh creation of a private chain environment which is going to be primarily used for the uh Toto or together the app.

um uh So what we've done is we've created a environment which runs level nodes and uh certain uh backup or archive nodes in the in the substrate terminology, uh then we're missing a few um Essentials like Persistence of the produced blocks across uh sessions. So we have a Docker environment uh which can be which is now persistent, uh which which will now persist the blocks which is generated, and there is also guidelines and examples for deploying this private scene having the block production having the backups via syncing Etc.

So this has been one major activity, that's going on and we're also exploring uh how to deal with the DraStic increase in size, which is uh with the rocks to be uh database with payplace tools. Showing so what's happening is the uh the block production size is it's almost the blockchain.

It is growing at a rate of around 100 MB per hour, so that's little uh too high and we are exploring how to handle this, and apparently this seems to be mostly to do with rocksdb database and it's a common uh observation from various other products, not just dachshunds, but also from other products. A value what's happening is uh the rocksdb which is used for storage. It is uh most.

By the looks of it, it's configured uh with its default settings, so we're looking at ways to optimize uh so that we can reduce the space usage. So even though so what's happening right now is that the the size increases drastically if you're continuing to run the chain uh without stopping it. But when, if you stop and restart it, uh these uh uh seemingly temporary or Cache files created by roxdb is getting uh played. So we are exploring ways to trigger the same mechanism so that we can reclaim a lot of space.

So that is another uh activity which we're working on right now, uh another friend um we have a newer substrate version which is uh used with the latest stable version of uh polka dot, so we're trying to upgrade our version to our our substrate version to the uh same that workers in progress and, lastly, most critical aspects of where, uh where our r d on uh implementation of the consensus uh it's uh progressing uh so earlier, um so we're looking at uh uh implementation of proof of pulse.

So we have various options like uh implementing this from scratch, or rather extending uh some of these existing algorithms like babe or Aurora. So we are, we are exploring the possibility for that, and there are other critical questions around uh proof of pulse regarding uh how to handle the uh node selection and if certain blocks goes down. Oh sorry, no block producers goes down uh Beyond a certain threshold how to handle it Etc.

So these uh scenarios are there so we're trying to understand the scenarios and come up with means to address them and we'll have our first study app using the private chain uh running this week, and so we're looking forward for that. Okay, let's uh over to the next slide, so we're uh together uh application uh I've been talk, I've been mentioning. This is uh together Apple app of the previous uh many months. So this is uh this.

Application will be rebranded as uh uh Toto and um we have the final MVP releases available and uh starting from Friday. We are trying to deploy this to uh to the production environment. uh So the the final uh integration of areas of components is going on uh from a high level. We have completed all the necessary um development.

This means the blockchain open, AI integration, uh payment with stripe uh post grid for sending the physical letters uh send grid for the emails uh image, upload or the whole uh workflow is completed, but at the same time there are a few integration uh hiccups which we identified uh in the last moment. So we are working on addressing those uh and uh parallelly.

We have designed the uh infrastructure for this, so this this will be deployed um uh in a uh in a in a data center uh with a with uh using uh physical servers and we're provisioning uh VMS on those, and these VMS will be. We are attempting to attempting to uh create a higher availability environment uh using these uh VMS and uh Network configurations uh vlans and such uh so. This particular configuration is available to us uh late last week.

So we're trying to now ask this point: uh we're trying to provision the necessary software and uh uh trying to make the environment available for production, um yeah I think one on the point I wanted to mention is the application is right. Now uh it is optimized for mobile applications. So sorry, mobile browsers, the support for desktop browsers will be coming up in the near future. So we're working towards uh deploying this to the final uh production environment and uh more.

uh The excited, URLs and everything will be uh shared in the in the next meetings. So that's most of the activity from the development team, oh yeah, and over the last week we've been uh you know, huddling together and uh attempting to complete the uh final deployment of Toto.

So there's like a lot of people over the call and uh like multiple teams are Hardware together and attempting to get this completed so appreciate everyone who stayed late and uh uh attempted to do this uh so this week we have to get the work completed and looking forward for that, that's it from the development team. So uh most of our latest content around all socials really has been centered around the need for decentralized human, focused digital currency, and we will start to introduce um some sort of different series of content soon uh again going back to static content.

Linkedin continues to grow uh really fast, we're gaining around 150 to 200 new followers per week uh and all we're doing there is we're posting everything that we're posting everywhere else, but we're also sharing posts uh from people that we find relevant.

So if we see anyone from the community posting anything about pure plays or anything like that or a use of one of our hashtags we're going to repost it um on the search and gather front, they have received our landing pages and we have launched the email course um sort of testing it right now and making the final tweaks and all the pixel analytics and socials have been set up for Toto. We have initiated a hype Fury and buffer and zapier integration, and all of our content is tracked in notion next slide. Please.

So the newsletter went out a couple of days ago, and we had almost 800 opens last night. It's it's near a thousand today uh and provided updates mostly around peer Place 2.0. uh The community has been very active lately and people are asking about timelines on what to expect for new launches and how many launches to expect. We continue to encourage them to sign up for a newsletter. I know many people hadn't.

uh This is the best way really to stay informed on a bi-weekly basis and uh refer to our efforts regarding moving to a substrate chain to any developers who may be interested in building dapps. We may be making our blockchain more programmable soon, so we want to get any developers who are interested on board and and in line with our Tech uh yeah. That's all for me.

uh We are continuing our focus on SEO, we are intensified, keyword, optimization and research, elevating pair Place visibility.

We are exploring AI tools to Streamlight content creation, these tools efficiently, produce high quality content for diverse audience segments, enriching our engagement strategies, regular updates and optimization measures have been applied to pureplace.com verified, then refining, the performance and user experience. Technical issues are promptly addressed to ensure smooth navigation and fast loading times. We are closely monitoring perioplace.com using analytics tools. Analyzing metrics, like page views, bounce rates and conversions. This insights guide data backed enhancements next slide. Kelly, please, a comprehensive branding.

Guideline document has been compiled servant as a reference for consistent application of brand elements from color palettes to typography and Logo usage, and currently I designed the PDF for the document incorporating per Place branding guideline we've developed into design experiments that respect the brand identity, we're Innovative, Within, These parameters to contemporize the brand visual language next slide, Kelly, please so I was working on multiple designs for total cover page for the course. We were launching experimenting with Dynamic elements that enhance user engagements and provide a polished user experience. That's all from me! Thank you.
