From YouTube: Councilman Green Discusses the Potential Impact of Repealing the Affordable Care Act 3-23-2017
Description
From the Stated Meeting of Philadelphia City Council held Thursday, March 23, 2017:
Councilman Derek S. Green (At Large) discusses the anniversary of the Affordable Care Act and the potential economic impact of its repeal.
A
Cheer
look:
another
custom
agree:
Thank,
You
council
president
today
is
a
very
important
day
for
many
people
in
this
country.
It
is
the
seventh
anniversary
of
the
signing
of
the
portable
Care
Act.
Many
of
you
in
this
body,
as
well
as
throughout
the
city,
are
anxiously
and
somewhat
costly
awaiting
the
decisions
in
DC.
Regarding
regarding
the
American
Health
Care
Act.
A
You
have
63,000
new
enrollees
to
receive
drug
and
alcohol
treatment
and
considering
all
the
issues
we
have
with
over
your
addiction
in
the
Commonwealth.
That's
a
very
important
issue
for
a
hospital.
The
Medicaid
expansion
has
provided
no
health
coverage
and
hospitals
have
been
able
to
spend
less
money
on
uncomplicated
care,
and
many
houses
are
using
the
money
saved
to
improve
care
to
others.
The
Medicaid
expansion
is
also
creating
jobs.
A
So
not
only
do
we
have
a
challenge
at
our
state
level
with
our
current
budget,
but
if
the
American
Health,
Care
Act
passes
and
Affordable
Care
Act
is
repealed
and
replaced
with
new
legislation
will
have
additional
financial
problems
at
our
state
level,
which
are
often
it
will
ultimately
impact
in
the
city
of
Italian
and
people
throughout
to
come
up
in
a
very
negative
way.
I
am
for
counseling
game,
others
of
a
more
modern
perspective,
to
vote
no
on
the
American
Health
Care
Act.
Thank
you.
Thanks.
