A
B
For
many
of
us,
though,
this
choice
isn't
simple
and
it's
not
free
when
the
City
insurance
plans
covered
medically
assisted
family
assistance
and
pregnancy
treatments,
14
of
our
colleagues
across
the
entire
city,
workforce
14
of
our
friends
and
neighbors,
had
access
to
procedures
and
treatments
necessary
to
make
that
choice,
to
build
their
own
families
and
to
forge
their
own
paths
in
life.
These
were
women.
These
were
LGBTQ
family
members.
B
They
were
cancer,
survivors
and
families
that
got
the
health
and
care
that
they
needed,
and
that's
why,
along
with
my
council
colleagues,
I'm
introducing
a
bill
today
to
require
that
all
insurance
plans
for
city
employees
cover
care
for
egg
freezing
in
vitro
fertilization
and
medically
approved
procedures
for
establishing
pregnancy
and
I.
Deeply
want
to
thank
the
co-sponsors
of
this
bill.
Councilmember
Heenan,
Parker,
Greenlee,
Reynolds
brown
bass,
greens,
blackwell,
Johnson
and
communi
Sanchez,
and
the
mayor's
administration
for
working
with
us
on
this.
B
We
stand
with
Randy,
whose
strength
is
an
inspiration
to
all
of
us,
and
we
stand
with
all
of
our
colleagues
and
friends
who
deserve
this
care.
I,
look
forward
to
working
with
the
administration
and
city
employees
to
implement
this
critical
policy
and
thank
everybody
involved
who
helped
make
it
possible.
Thank
you.
Thank.
