A
C
Today,
we're
recognizing
amplified
filly
but,
more
importantly,
we're
recognizing
the
tech
community
of
Philadelphia,
which
is
our
future.
Everyone
knows
that
the
economic
job
multiplier
of
tech
is
five
to
one
meaning
for
every
job.
In
tech
we
create
five
more
jobs
behind
me
today
are
the
future
of
our
city.
The
people
create
jobs
in
our
city.
C
Many
of
them
are
way
younger
than
me,
okay,
but
that's
a
good
thing
so
and
by
the
way,
just
for
those
of
you
who
haven't
heard
me
say
this:
one
out
of
three
jobs
in
tech
do
not
require
a
college
degree.
The
average
income
of
tech
is
thirty,
nine
thousand
dollars
higher
and
we
need
to
start
teaching
coding
and
technology
pre-k
to
12th
grade
in
our
public
schools
and
charter
schools.
K
Resolved
that
this
Council
of
the
city
of
Philadelphia
hereby
acknowledges
and
recognizes
amplify
Philly,
a
partnership
of
public
and
private
organizations
that
join
together
to
highlight
Philadelphia,
startup
and
tech
community
and
promote
Philadelphia
as
a
hub
for
startups
at
the
2018
South
by
Southwest,
Conference
and
Festival
in
Austin.
Texas.
B
But
then
you
you
bring
together
entrepreneurs
and
a
diverse
startup
community,
and
then
our
music
community
and
our
artists
and
watch
what
happens
when
we
bring
all
those
people
together
to
to
say
to
really
have
one
mission,
which
is
to
talk
about
Philadelphia
and
the
beautiful
growing
communities
that
are
here-
and
this
is
a
this-
is
what
it's
all
about
right
here
and
so
I
just
want
to
thank
everyone.
That's
on
the
stage
and
the
city's
support
and
we're
gonna
continue
doing
this
and
continue
growing.
