Thank
You.
Mr.
president,
in
past
sessions,
we've
honored
icons
in
this
chamber
and
I'd
say
we're
certainly
honoring
an
icon.
Today
in
the
college
and
high
school
coaching
ranks
and
while
we're
honoring
coach
Mars
on
winning
a
thousand
games,
he
hasn't
stopped
since
that
time,
he's
now
up
to
a
thousand
nine
and
still
going
for
next
season,
so
I'm
proud
to
introduce
a
resolution
honoring
and
congratulating
bill
speedy,
Mars
on
winning
1,000
games
as
a
college
and
high
school
basketball,
coach.
A
C
As
speedy
then
went
on
to
win
the
inter
AC
championship
at
Penn,
Charter,
High
School
and
the
league
championship
and
the
NC
double-a
tournament
appearance
as
a
La
Salle
University
women's
coach,
whereas
he
began
a
15-year
stint
at
LaSalle's,
men's
basketball
coach
where
he
won.
238
games
the
most
in
school
history,
while
compiling
four
league
championships
of
four
NCAA
and
the
two
nit
tornament
appearances
and.
D
Whereas
for
the
last
17
seasons,
speedy
has
been
the
head
coach
at
Saint,
Joseph's
Prep,
where
he
has
won
two
Catholic
League
titles,
one
for
a
city
championship
and
was
a
p.I
double
a
state
semi
finalist
in
2013,
while
also
the
winning
being
the
winningest
coach
in
school
history
and
whereas
on
Friday
January
12th
2018,
the
prep
defeat
at
Lansdale,
Catholic
63
42
at
Kelly
field
house
giving
speedy
his
1,000th
career
victory.
Now,
therefore,
be
it.
E
Thank
You
president
Clark
I'm,
just
a
city
council,
council,
Greenleaf,
Casper,
no
Neal,
cosmic
Jones
councilman
Heenan.
Thank
you
for
this
is
great,
if
not
there's
a
great
honor.
What
I
really
really
appreciate
and
look
forward
to
continuing
to
coach
it's
50
years
a
long
time?
And
it's
sorry,
you
can't
do
it
without
a
lot
of
help.
That's
1,440
to
games
like
hosting
only
missed
three
or
four,
so
I
gotta
thank
God
number
one.
Forgive
me
a
healthy
coach
for
50
years
and
then
certainly
you
couldn't
do
it
without
great
players.
E
E
Appellee
Randy
was
the
first
coach
to
take
that
UMBC
to
a
NCAA
tournament
and
he's
back
now
with
me,
and
he
coached
with
me
LaSalle
and
Ally's
about
they
hit
the
prep,
and
then
we
got
Jim
Perales
I
had
JV
coach
does
a
great
job
there's
a
lot
for
me
and
I'm,
a
crying.
It
was
assistant,
varsity
and
JV.
