C
You,
mr.
president
and
I
want
to
thank
you
for
your
leadership
on
the
introduction
of
this
critical
piece
of
legislation
which
is
designed
to
keep
all
of
us
safe
from
gun
violence,
but
particularly
aimed
at
our
most
vulnerable
asset
and
resource
our
children.
This
bill
has
the
potential
to
truly
make
a
difference
and
remove
the
fear
that
many
feel
of
gun
violence
in
our
communities.
We've
made
a
difference
by
adding
cameras
to
our
rec,
centers
and
playgrounds,
but
this
preventive
measure
has
the
potential
to
be
a
real
game-changer
for
our
city
and
I.
C
Thank
you
recognizing
that
Harrisburg
obviously
has
a
say
in
this
matter.
I
am
optimistic.
That
conversations
will
take
place
to
help
us
help
ourselves
here
in
the
city
of
Philadelphia
and
keep
everyone
safe
and
I,
say
this
as
a
chair
of
Parks
and
Recreation,
where
we've
seen
an
uptick
in
violence
and
particularly
gun
violence
in
our
rec
centers
in
our
neighborhoods
and
as
the
chair
of
Health
and
Human
Services,
and
we
know
that
gun
violence
is
a
health
issue
and
so
again,
I
just
wanted
to
thank
you
for
your
leadership
on
this
very
important
issue.
