Description
Councilman Brian Neill (10th District) joined Mayor Jim Kenney to cut the ribbon on the new Northeast Municipal Services at 7522 Castor Avenue in Rhawnhurst on Tuesday, September 13, 2016.
The new center offers services from the Department of Revenue, Licenses and Inspections and Councilman O'Neill's office.
A
Councilmember
large
alt,
album
movie
acceptable
big
guy
here
in
a
minute,
so
I'm
thrilled
to
be
in
the
Northeast
this
morning,
but
really
more
thrilled
to
help
open
this
new
Northeast
Center,
which
is
a
one-stop
shopping
for
residents
who
want
to
make
use
of
city
services
without
having
to
schlep
downtown
a
relocation,
is
part
of
the
administration's
of
strategy
to
make
city
government
more
accessible
to
the
people
and
connect
directly
to
the
neighborhoods.
It's
also
to
assist
community
and
community
development,
this
building
him
to
naked
for
eight
years.
A
So
this
effort
has
taken
neighbor
and
I
saw
a
brandeis
or
transformed
it
into
an
office
that
can
serve
the
needs
of
all
the
people
in
this
northeast
philly.
At
this
center
you'll
be
able
to
pay
your
taxes,
water
bills
receive
other
forms
of
assistance
and,
of
course,
your
veil
yourself
for
the
great
constituent
services
offered
by
the
long
term
and
terrific
councilman
brian
o'neill.
Having
counsel
antonio,
the
community
is
an
example,
green
city
government,
directly
to
the
people
and
before
we
cut
the
rivet.
A
I
just
want
to
say
that
if
I
look
at
the
national
debate
between
republicans
and
democrats,
then
I
come
home
and
look
at
how
Republicans
the
Democrats
work
together.
Brian
on
the
obvious
is
a
long-standing
elected
Republican,
council,
member
and
gals
and
council
new
looting
council
member
at
large.
It's
nice
to
know
that
that
bipartisanship
and
and
and
all
that
stuff
is
really
important
when
we're
dealing
with
the
lives
of
everyday
people.
So
I
served
with
Ryan
O'neal
24
years
accounts
before
I
for
mayor.
A
B
Guess
10
terms
counselor
so
long
walks
to
figure
councilman,
but
I
wanted
to
comment
on
a
couple
of
things.
First
of
all,
thank
mayor
Kenny
when
I
asked
him
if
I
could
be
part
of
this
project
and
have
a
small
office
here
to
service
to
people
ruin
her
than
56
board,
he
didn't
say
well,
I'll,
think
about
it,
and
I've
got
a
couple
of
tough
votes
coming
up
and
anything
like
that.
It
was
a
quick,
yes
and
you
know
made
me
feel
really
good
counsel,
councilman.
Now,
mayor
Kenny,
it's
still
it's
a
lot
of
years.
B
Do
there
Kenny
queen
it
the
best
set
of
service,
delivers
commissioners
cabinet
members
that
I've
ever
seen
from
top
to
bottom.
This
is
what
really
matters
in
the
government
is
delivery
of
services
to
people
handling
complaints,
trying
to
help
people
on
a
one-to-one
basis
and
Commissioner
Prairie,
Commissioner
Breslin
I
mean
I
could
go
down
the
whole
list,
Commissioner
Bridget,
as
we
tend
to
call
our
Bridget
how
green
wall
these
are
top-notch
people.
I
mean
it's
hot
notch.
B
The
people
that
work
in
City
Council,
it's
been
less
than
a
year,
but
it's
a
dramatic
change,
not
just
in
the
last
eight
years
compared
to
the
previous
administration,
but
compared
to
all
of
them,
and
we
just
have
people
we
can
work
with
and
everybody's
just
looking
at
one
at
one.
How
do
we
better
this
city?
How
do
we
help
people
more
than
we
have
in
the
past
and
give
them
as
much
as
we
possibly
can
and
I?
B
Don't
know
what
else
to
say,
except
thank
you
and
not
just
for
this
office
in
these
offices,
for
our
two
departments
but
Jim
for
using
your
experience
and
listening
to
people,
obviously
all
over
the
city
and
appointing
it.
You
know
a
real,
a
team
and
you
can't
ask
for
more
than
that.
That's
what
it
all
comes
down
to
I
will
just
say.
One
thing:
I
had
a
call
from
a
constituent
yesterday,
a
businessman-
and
he
had
to
tell
me
before
I,
get
off
the
phone.
B
B
B
I
got
a
call
from
a
worker
in
my
company
who's
a
big
brother,
and
he
had
a
real
bad
situation
with
with
a
little
brother
that
he
had
been
working
with,
and
the
big
brothers
was
a
foster
care
situation
too
horrible
facts.
I
won't
even
go
through
nine
o'clock
on
a
Saturday
night.
Jim
picked
up
the
phone
when
he
called
them
had
the
whole
thing
under
control
by
by
the
following
tuesday,
the
young
man,
ten
years
old,
is
in
the
Lower
Merion
school
system.
B
I
won't
go
through
the
details,
but
that's
the
kind
of
mayor
we're
dealing
with
here
and
that
I'm
proud
to
to
serve
with
and
will
continue
the
work
in
a
in
a
bipartisan
manner,
and
this
helps
me
work
also
in
a
bipartisan
matter,
with
Senate
senator
john
sava,
tina
and
representative
at
nielsen.
Because
is
it's
a
rhawnhurst
first,
it's
not
about
ours
and
DS
or-
and
nobody
cares
about
that.
They
just
wonder
whether
you
can
them
and
we
worked
it
when
we
work
together.
B
A
Leave
has
just
remade
in
a
short
period
of
time,
L&I
into
what
it's
supposed
to
be,
and
that's
a
Public
Safety
Agency,
making
sure
that
people
are
safe
but
I.
Just
thank
you
for
continuing
to
serve
and
Frank.
Frank
is
a
dog.
It
go,
get
the
money
guy
and
he's
not
gonna.
Let
people
get
away
with
not
paying
their
taxes
and
not
doing
the
things
they're
supposed
to
do,
because
all
that
money
that
revenue
collects
goes
to
pay
for
services
like
this
lni
police
recreation.
All
those
things
so
Frank
is
extremely
important.
