B
Let
us
bow
our
heads:
dear
loving
father,
we
pause
to
remember
the
great
losses
and
courageous
acts
of
September
11th.
We
lift
up
those
who
are
still
affected:
families
of
the
victims,
police
officers,
firemen
first
responders,
our
military
and
veterans
all
who
were
involved.
We
pray
for
the
light
that
would
shine
in
the
hearts
of
people
everywhere.
B
A
Politic
to
thank
everyone
for
coming
today.
Our
list
of
speakers
we
have
was
shortened
to
members
couldn't
make
it
so
it'll
be
only
have
three
people
speaking
today.
What
are
you
do
traditionally?
What
we
do
is
we,
let
you
know
a
little
bit
about
ourselves,
but
I
think
most
of
you
know
the
commissioners
so
I'll
make
my
portion
of
this
brief.
A
Here
we
developed
the
parade,
put
the
parade
together
and
a
member
of
the
board
on
that
and
speaking
of
the
parade,
please,
the
registration
is
open
for
the
parade
this
year.
Please
tell
your
friends
and
your
veterans
organizations
if
they
haven't
registered,
to
be
in
a
parade.
Please
do
it.
We
welcome
them.
C
Afternoon
my
name
is
Joe
Melendez
I
served
in
Vietnam
with
the
25th
Infantry
Division
I
am
actively
working
with
the
VFW
American
Legion,
the
sarracenia
memory
based
outpatient
clinic
and
the
map
coach
Acree,
says,
veterans,
medical
center,
I
am
a
retired
chief
inspector
from
the
Philadelphia
police
department
and
I
feel
honored
to
be
able
to
work
with
the
veterans
of
Philadelphia.
Thank
you.
D
A
F
E
D
E
Gonna
share
it
with
them,
because
that's
what
this
is
about
the
veterans.
So
the
first
one
will
be
doctor
lucky
dr.
Dores
lucky
who
came
all
the
way
from
California
for
our
program
9/11
to
Philadelphia,
and
she
was
one
of
the
original
I'm
not
supposed
to
say
spy
and
tell
us
intelligence
officers
of
the
United
States
Army.
G
Welcome
home
I
spent
three
years
in
Vietnam
19
1970
1967
in
1970
I'm,
a
I
was
in
the
army.
I
retired
is
a
Chief
Warrant
Officer
with
military
intelligence,
I've
written
a
book,
I'm
not
selling
it,
but
it's
for
sale.
But
it's
a
call
three
days
pass
yesterday
and
talked
about
my
time
after
Vietnam
I
have
PTSD
the
lot
of
things
I'd
like
to
say,
but
first
I
want
to
thank
you
for
serving,
but
9/11
I
thank
all
of
those
first
responders.
But
I
won't
talk
about
those
those
people
of
today.
G
G
Lots
of
accolades
and
lots
pretty
things
on
my
chest,
but
with
3045
since
I
can
buy
a
cup
of
coffee,
so
I
think
those
of
us
who
were
there
that
more
people
need
to
really
listen
and
learn
and
I
think
this
would
be
a
better
place.
I
came
to
aces
Museum
because
I
came
to
Philadelphia,
I
was
invited,
but
I
think
all
of
the
all
the
people
that
are
honored
dr.
Hankins
is
to
be
thanked
because
she
opened
these
in
your
minutes.
G
Start
out
is
a
tribute
to
her
father,
retired
military
and
it
moved
on
to
other
people,
other
military
people,
blacks
and
then
she
said,
wow
they're
more
than
blacks
in
the
motor.
So
she
went
to
minorities,
so
everybody's
invited
yeah
to
be
a
part
of
museum
and
I'm,
just
really
proud
that
I
can
come
all
the
way
to
Philadelphia
and
not
have
to
stay
in
California
which
I
love.
But
I
came
here
because
this
is
a
place.
G
H
E
H
Service,
thank
you.
You
seem
to
be
very
proud
to
see
your
member
of
the
American
Legion.
I
likewise
honorary
member
of
four
to
four
or
five
I'm.
Sorry
right
here
at
the
Union
League
in
Legion
I'm
here
representing
the
Aces
Museum,
which
is
a
museum
for
minority,
usually
all
veterans
and
started
quite
a
while.
We
have
quite
a
display
of
memorabilia
from
World
War,
two
and
previous
Wars
we're
in
dire
need
of
funding.
As
you
could
help
me,
I'd
like
to
put
that
commercial
out
there.
H
H
You
to
stop
by
someday
and
give
us
a
visit,
I'm
sure
you
could
add
quite
a
bit
to
our
Museum.
We
accept
in
all
office.
We
do
have
pretty
much
honored
the
Met
veterans,
particularly
the
minority,
because
they
had
been
downcast
from
World
War
two,
but
thanks
be
to
God.
We've
been
recognized
now
and
I'd
like
to
know.
If
you
can
do
anything
to
help
along
that
line,
we
would
certainly
be
appreciative.
E
I
A
E
A
J
Good
afternoon
welcome
James
and
it's
a
pleasure
being
around
such
distinguished
company
yeah
I.
Think
really
that
I
would
like
to
say
for
one
thing
that
Asus,
ok
museum
is
a
museum
that
is
also
a
veteran's
service
organization.
Ok
and
we
help
veterans,
all
veterans-
ok,
not
just
limited
to
minorities,
but
any
veterans
that
might
need
help.
They
come
in
we'll
trying
to
them
a
helping
hand
if
possible.
Ok,
we
also
I
myself
or
a
member
of
really
different
groups,
just
as
all
of
you
have
mentioned:
ok,
the
DAV
and
different
ones.
J
But
I'll
tell
you,
though,
my
wife
served
and
the
military
okay,
as
well
as
I,
okay,
she
served
in
the
army.
Okay,
the
group
really
is
here
at
ASIS
need
some
help.
Okay,
we
need
help
really
in
a
lot
of
things
in
a
lot
of
ways.
Some
of
the
things
that
you
need
help
in
does
involve
money,
not
everything,
but
some
some
does.
Okay.
We
need
to
really
be
able
to
do
better
at
reaching
out
to
other
to
the
other
groups
and
other
veterans.
J
Okay,
we
need
a
helping
hand
okay,
as
far
as
being
able
to
fund
some
of
the
events
and
things
that
we
have
and
and
since
we
do
sponsor
quite
a
few
different
events.
Okay
I
think
it
would
be
very
good
if
we
could
get
some
assistance
along
those
lines
just
like
right
now
today
for
9/11,
we
have
a
program
going
on
right
now,
while
we're
here,
okay
for
the
veterans,
they're
receiving
food,
they
receive
and
entertain
they
receive.
You
know
different
things:
okay
and
that's
for
the
men
and
women
veterans.
J
Okay,
so
we
we're
not
limiting
ourselves
and
the
ones
that
we
try
and
help
we're
not
limiting
ourselves
and
the
ones
that
we
try
and
inspire
to
come
forward.
Okay,
some
of
the
veterans
really
as
I
know,
you
all
know
or
homeless.
Okay,
and
some
of
these
homeless
veterans
also
need
a
hand
up.
Some
do
not
want
to
be
really
involved.
I
know
that
okay,
but
there
are
some
that
really
do
want
to
be
involved.
There
are
some
really
don't
want
us
to
try
and
help
them.
They
feel
they've
been
neglected.
J
E
One
of
the
things
you
should
know
is
that
Vietnam
aces
museum
also
houses
the
800
pound
vietnam,
memorial
plaque
from
the
daily
news
and
at
the
time
that
they
were
moving
to
the
suburbs.
It
was
a
competition
as
to
where
the
plaque
should
go
to
do
the
most
good
for
the
veterans
and
the
Vietnam
Veterans
of
America
actually
wanted
the
plaque.
E
The
reason
why
we
were
voted
to
have
it
is
because
we
have
done
a
remarkable
job
with
helping
Vietnam
veterans
feel
comfortable
and,
as
you
know,
Vietnam
veterans
would
not
welcome
home
and
because
the
war
was
unpopular,
a
lot
of
veterans
were
treated
horribly,
but
at
aces
we
try
to
make
every
veteran
comfortable
and
they
come
to
us
in
wheelchairs.
They
come
to
us
with
urine
and
they
know
we
would
help
them.
And
unfortunately,
since
we've
already
started
doing
the
commercial,
we
get
no
help.
E
In
fact,
we
get
grief
and
we
don't
understand
it,
but
that's
truly
irrelevant,
because
we're
going
continue
doing
this
wonderful
thing,
but
for
vietnam
veterans,
I
think,
is
very
important
for
you
to
become
bring
your
families,
especially
children,
grandchildren.
So
they
understand
that
you
are
heroes,
because
you
did
the
job
that
you
were
called
on
to
do.
E
You
didn't
have
a
choice
in
the
matter
and
certainly
you
should
not
feel
uncomfortable
because
you
made
our
lives
better
and
one
of
our
Vietnam
veterans
said
he
was
a
killer
and
was
ashamed
and
refused
to
take
any
awards
from
us.
And
that
was
years
ago
because
we
taught
him
it's
the
difference
between
being
a
killer
and
defending
us,
and
it's
never
been
a
time
clearly
that
it
is
now
between
the
good
guys
and
the
bad
guys.
E
F
Yes,
good
afternoon,
doctor
hang
and
said:
my
name
is
actually
Deborah
Gary
US
Air
Force,
but
everyone
makes
that
mistake
and
I'm
actually,
just
speaking
as
say,
one
of
the
newer
members
of
the
Aces
board
I
actually
was
introduced
to
the
organization
because
of
the
work
they
do.
Honoring
the
the
military.
F
My
dad
was
a
World
War,
two
veteran
army
and
once
I
found
out
about
the
programs
that
they
would
do
periodically
for
Memorial
Day
and
Veterans
Day
I
made
certain
that
I
brought
my
dad
down
to
those
events,
since
he
could
not
make
it
in
these
later
years
down
to
DC.
He
always
wanted
to
get
down
there
to
the
World
War
Two
memorial
and
I
couldn't
get
him
there.
So
this
was
a
pleasure
to
bring
him.
F
He
would
be
one
of
usually
two
or
three
World
War,
two
veterans
participating
in
her
programs
similar
to
what's
happening
today.
So
again
it
was
him
that
I
would
push
to
the
forefront,
even
though
I'm
Air
Force,
so
I
was
the
one
family,
member
of
the
immediate
family
that
also
went
military.
So
again,
it
was
an
honor
and
now
that
he
just
passed
actually
last
year
at
age
95.
F
You
know,
I
now
have
time
to
help
dr.
henkins
and
the
Aces
Museum.
You
know
get
a
little
bit
more
of
what
it
needs
to
have
to
support
the
veterans.
So
I'm
I'll
be
there
all
as
a
volunteer,
because
I
do
own
my
own
business,
but
so
I'll
be
there
when
I
can
as
a
volunteer
assisting
her
and
the
rest
of
the
organization,
would
get
in
the
museum
up
and
run
up
I'm.
F
Also,
a
history
advocate
I'm
retired
from
DoD,
so
I
basically
went
straight
from
one
job
to
the
same
job
as
a
DoD
civilian
manager
working
for
DISA,
so
I
actually
was
across
the
in
our
headquarters
across
the
parking
lot
from
the
Pentagon.
When,
when
when
happened,
my
staff
was
in
our
office
building
along
Columbia
Pike
and
saw
the
plane
go
by.
I
was
called
in
the
middle
of
the
that
same
night
by
the
headquarters
by
our
director
of
DISA
to
come
back
in
because
of
some
of
the
programs.
F
That
I
was
managing
that
needed
to
get
up
and
operational
right
away.
So
this
day,
you
know,
for
me,
is
a
reminder
of
a
lot
of
things.
I
had
a
young
man
that
I
tutored
that
his
mom
was
killed
in
that
explosion
and
I
actually
ended
up
retiring
early
because
of
9/11
one
as
well,
because
those
next
few
years
was
just
stressful
for
the
demand
of
the
programs
that
I
was
managing
but
again
from
forward
out,
like
I,
said,
I'll
be
helping
where
I
can,
with
the
Aces
Museum
again.
F
What
we're
trying
to
do
there
is
be.
You
know
one
of
those
there's
many
veterans
organizations,
but
what
we're
trying
to
do
there
definitely
intend
for
it
to
be
an
impact
for
it
to
help
where
it
can
pour
for
it
to
give
people
recognition
that
feel
that
they're
not
being
recognized
for
for
what
they
have
contributed
or
still
can
so
again.
I'll.
Take
this
opportunity
to
you
know
present
in
front
of
you
again
a
little
bit
more
about
the
Aces
Museum.
Thank
you.
Thank.
A
You
Deborah
and
thank
you
for
your
service,
dr.
Hankins
I,
think
I
can
speak
for
the
the
rest
of
the
commissioners.
We'd
like
to
thank
you
for
what
the
aces
museum
is
doing
for
veterans
here
in
the
city
of
Philadelphia,
that
your
dame
of
the
organization
that
says
museum,
but
your
name
is
well
known
throughout
Philadelphia.
Thank.
E
E
So
we
went
to
New
Jersey
and
you
could
actually
see
the
smoke
coming
up
and
then
we
got
the
call
that
we
wouldn't
be
needed,
and
that
haunts
me
to
this
day
and
at
the
time
both
my
mother
and
father
and
son
were
alive
and
we
do
things
by
vote
in
my
family
and
my
family
voted
for
me
to
go
to
New
York,
and
at
that
time
we
thought
it
was
active
war.
But
my
father
was
Muslim
and
he
used
to
get
in
trouble
in
World
War
two.
E
They
used
to
put
him
in
jail
for
making
us
a
lot
and
he
came
home
and
married
a
Christian
and
made
nine
of
us
and
we
just
a
little
bit
of
everything.
But
one
thing
they
taught
us
is
that
you
serve
God
by
what
you
said.
Do
not
what
you
say
and
they
when
I
went
to
New
Jersey
to
relieve
the
doctors,
my
father
being
ex-military.
E
We
were
raised
with
Vitt
with
veteran
parades
and
respect,
but
it
was
at
that
moment
that
I
felt
what
people
must
feel
going
into
battle
that
our
survivors
survivor
guilt,
I
felt
bad.
That
I
couldn't
help.
So
we're
going
to
go
to
our
911
program.
I'm
gonna.
Ask
you
to
stop
by
we're
gonna
be
party
until
8
o'clock.
Here
are
the
Flyers
and
thank
you
major
McCoy
for
inviting
us.
We
feel
honored,
we
feel
welcome
and
every
day
is
Veterans
Day
at
ASIS.
Thank
you.
Thank.
A
K
K
Thank
you
also.
I
just
want
to
give
the
opportunity
major
Andre,
McCoy,
Commissioner,
McCoy
I,
just
stepped
in
I
know
this
is
being
televised
so,
sir,
if
you
could
also
introduce
yourself
just
giving
you
the
opportunity
to
speak.
I
Thank
You
mr.
chairman
I
apologize
for
being
a
few
minutes.
Late,
I
just
left
former
Secretary
of
State
Condoleezza
Rice
was
phenomenal
meeting
and
I
apologize
for
being
so
late.
One
of
the
things
she
pointed
out
was
that
there
should
be
a
common
narrative
for
the
United
States
for
the
culture.
That
common
narrative
of
course
implies
the
flag.
The
Pledge
of
Allegiance
coming
values
are
the
reason
why
I
was
invited
to
that
was
because
I
am
a
major
over
30
years
of
experience
in
the
active
Guard
and
Reserve.
K
Appreciate
so
with
their
with
today
being
September,
11th
I
went
down
to
the
Community
College
Philadelphia.
They
had
a
nice
ceremony
down
there,
a
lot
of
presents
actually
Marines
were
there
I
know
they're
few
the
proud,
and
we
don't
see
them
at
a
whole
lot
of
events
at
Marine
Corps
recruiting
was
a
present.
Also
wanted
a
note
team
red
white
blue
they're
moving
the
flag
right
now
it
down
at
the
Navy,
Yard
I
believe
they're
running
a
course
down
there
from
sunup
to
sundown.
K
If
you
have
a
chance,
you
get
an
opportunity
to
get
down
there.
Does
it
show
support
that
they're
doing
that
in
the
remnants
of
those
lives
lost
today?
Some
of
the
upcoming
events.
We
have
lined
up
some
through
our
office,
some
math
through
our
office.
This
is
just
connecting
with
folks
within
the
community.
K
The
more
immediate
16
September
this
coming
Monday
trimming,
kinder
I
mentioned
to
you
flyers
warriors,
is
having
an
event
if
you're
not
familiar
the
Philadelphia
Flyers
sponsored
a
warrior
veteran
all
veteran
team,
it's
a
new
league
through
USA
Hockey,
and
that
being
said,
there's
about
twenty
four
teams
in
total
they'll
be
circulating
throughout
the
US
playing
some
of
the
other
teams.
The
first
game
is
on
the
sixteenth,
starts
at
2:30
p.m.
I'll.
Push
this.
K
K
Oh
sorry,
at
the
Wells
Fargo
Center,
so
they're
gonna
be
playing
on
the
ice
18
September
Commissioner,
Boyle
I'm.
Just
thinking
of
you.
Of
course
we
were
unable
to
get
the
resources
and
the
personnel
about
18
September
is
the
Air
Force
birthday.
I
am
tracking
that
I
just
want
to
recognize
that
21st
September
through
on
our
flight
Philadelphia
Honor
Flight
Philadelphia,
is
hosting
their
first
all-female
veteran
Honor
Flight
down
to
Washington
DC
they'll,
see
all
the
memorials
all
the
monuments
down.
There
have
a
nice
ceremony.
D
K
A
nice
ceremony,
11
October
I,
know
chairman
ginder
you're,
asking
about
a
tickets
there's
an
event
for
the
army-navy
cup
the
8th
year
this
year.
That
is
an
event,
and
you
can
come
see
me
down
in
my
office
or
work
it
through
a
chairman.
Ginder
we're
gonna
get
tickets
for
those
who
are
interested
I
would
love
for
you
to
come
out.
That's
gonna
be
down
at
talent,
Stadium
I,
don't
Chester,
PA
I!
A
K
There's
most
definitely
13
October
is
the
Navy's
birthday
haven't
pushed
it
out,
I'm
waiting
for
a
few
things
to
line
up,
but
we
are
doing
the
flag.
Raising
ceremony,
I
already
put
the
permit
in
through
city
for
flag
raising
to
happen
at
the
Municipal
Services
Building
right
there
in
the
courtyard
outside
we're
gonna,
be
raising
the
Navy
flag,
because
Navy
was
born
here
on
the
19th
of
October
through
congressman
Evans
office,
sponsored
by
his
office.
K
We're
gonna
be
doing
a
financial
literacy
works
up
at
the
Navy
Yard
at
the
for
Chapel
for
chaplains
I
know
mr.
Joe
Eastman
is
present
here
he
may
be
able
to
give
more
details
if
he,
if
he
hasn't
morning
on
3
November,
is
the
parade.
As
we
know
it's
being
advertised
now,
we'll
push
that
out
again
via
media
social
media
as
well.
K
I'm
sure
the
rest
of
the
community
will
be
a
part
of
that
10
November
Marine,
Corps
Birthday
we're
gonna
be
doing
that
flag
raising
as
well,
but
this
time
at
City
Hall
Philadelphia
last
year.
We
did
it
at
the
municipal
services
building
and
that
went
well,
but
I
think
we
can
not.
We
can
blow
it
out
and
get
more
in
attendance
and
then
11
November
is
Veterans
Day
proper,
we're
gonna.
Do
it
at
10
a.m.
same
as
usual.
Every
year
we
do
it
at
the
attune
the
Unknown
Soldier
of
the
Revolutionary
War
10
a.m.
K
veterans
day
only
on
the
11th
of
November
regarding
some
programs
and
initiatives.
So
I
don't
know
if
I
mentioned
this
to
you
before.
This
only
came
to
existence
about
a
few
months
ago.
I
started
this
program
myself
in
representing
the
office
in
representing
the
city
through
the
George
W
Bush
Institute,
part
of
a
veteran
leadership
program
stand
two
veteran
leadership.
Part
of
that
is
to
build
out.
The
network
also
bring
those
resources
back
to
the
city
of
Philadelphia.
K
Some
organizations
represented
that
we're
now
connected
with
LinkedIn
Microsoft
Boeing
Starbucks
Amazon
USAA
met
with
a
few
executives,
different
directors,
they're
all
interested
and
want
to
support
the
city.
So
we're
still
yet
to
design
that
and
figure
it
out,
but
the
the
doors
are
open.
Part
of
it
is
their
capstone.
I
come
October
12th
down
to
Dallas
Texas
I'll
be
briefing
at
President
Bush,
his
staff
and
his
team.
K
Also
Georgetown
University
discuss
a
little
bit
more
about
our
workforce
development
and
how
to
reintegrate
veterans
back
into
the
employment
civilian
employment
also
built
a
bridge
with
the
DLA
and
also
GSA
just
got
off
the
phone
with
them
trying
to
get
some
details
on
how
to
requisition
some
things.
Like
computers,
furniture,
you
know
things
that
people
need
for
education
purposes,
employment
purposes
and
also
for
those
who
are
less
fortunate
or
transitioning
out
of
homelessness
into
affordable
housing.
Part
of
that
to
the
discussion
I'd
mentioned
as
a
representative
for
the
city
talk
to
them
about
hey.
K
How
else
can
we
support
the
community?
Not
just
the
veteran
community,
but
also
a
local
law
school
system,
so
we're
developing
that
as
well
have
a
good
connection
between
two
501
C
3
organizations.
Team
Home,
Depot
I,
mentioned
that
before
I.
Just
want
to
reiterate
this,
and
also
Team
Rubicon
Team
Rubicon
focuses
on
response
so
they're
actually
sending
folks
down
in
the
Bahamas
in
that
response,
effort
and
also
team
Home
Depot,
which
is
a
local
to
of
to
Philly.
K
If
there
are
any
veterans
that
need
any
any
military
service
members
who
have
things
that
need
to
get
fixed
in
their
home,
I'm
talking
about
you
know,
need
access
to
their
home
via
ramp.
I
need
a
stair.
Glide
put
in
the
roof
is
leaking.
The
walls
need
to
get
painted.
The
floors
need
to
get
read
that
whatever
the
case
is,
we
have
a
good
working
relationship
with
them
and
they
are
looking
for
people.
They
want
more
referrals,
so
within
our
community
within
our
network
throughout
all
Philadelphia.
They
have
that
full
maximum
coverage.
K
K
Some
of
them
recognized
that
there
was
a
no
representation
within
city
government
contracts,
also
some
of
the
other
schools
that
exist
academia
for
procurement
opportunities,
something
I'm
figuring
out
where
solutioning
that
nothing
promised
yet,
but
I'm
still
trying
to
figure
that
out
and
then
also
found
out
about
the
there's,
a
congressional
fellowship
available
to
veterans.
If
you
think
the
limitations,
if
you're
five
years
removed
from
service
has
to
be
five
years
or
less
or
you're
still
in
service,
active
Guard,
Reserve
doesn't
matter
what
branch
you
can
actually
sign
up
for
a
wounded.
K
Wounded
Warrior
Program
fellowship
it's
a
congressional
appointed
position
through
the
a
chief
administration
officer
down
in
our
Washington
I
think
actually
through
a
Nancy
Pelosi's
office,
where
you
can
how
to
be
a
veteran
service
officer,
you
know
help
out
with
any
constituent
services
things
of
the
light.
So,
if
there's
any
needs
throughout
the
community,
that's
something
I'm
partnering
on
and
working
with,
some
of
the
local
congressional
members
here
in
the
city
of
Philly.
Lastly,
two
accomplishments
I
did
want
to
point
out.
K
I
want
to
recognize
miss
Wanda
Payton,
who
you
know
in
our
office
and
Commissioner
Melendez.
One
thing
that
was
mentioned
was
there's
a
veteran
who
was
awarded
back
pay
about
the
$70,000
lump
sum,
so
it
wasn't
and
in
phases
reason
why
I
say
that
is
a
lot
of
people
still
to
this
day
are
unfamiliar
with
what
they
can
or
cannot
qualify
for.
K
One
thing
I
highly
highly
recommend
is
either
get
through
the
legacy
organizations-
some
of
the
veterans,
veteran
service
organizations
if
they
have
a
veteran's
service
officer
representative
present,
get
with
them,
because
that's
the
best
way
to
get
a
claim
and
get
compensated
for
any
mental
or
physical
injuries.
You
may
have
occurred
while
in
service.
And
lastly,
this
I
can't
put
my
fingerprint
on
this,
but
I
wanted
to
highlight
this.
K
There's
a
gentleman
by
the
name
of
Nelson
Henry
jr.,
there's
a
article
that
came
out
recently,
a
Philly
veteran
World
War
two
vet
had
a
blue
discharge
because
he
was
an
african-american
at
the
time
of
war
and
what
happened
was
he
was
barred
from
a
lot
of
benefits
this?
This
only
just
came
out
and
I
think
a
few
days
ago
anyway,
it
took
75
years
for
him
to
get
his
discharge
upgraded
and
only
recently
in
the
past
week,
or
so
did
he
get
that
upgraded,
so
I
wanted
to
congratulate
him
and
also
I'll.
K
A
A
K
I
K
Yeah,
it's
another
I
guess
another
feather
in
our
cap,
so
City
Philadelphia,
we
back
fill
the
slot
that
we
had
miss
Joyce
McEwan,
as
we
know
or
may
not
know,
she'd
retired
back
in
March
I
was
a
long
search,
but
thank
you
again
to
the
commissioners
and
the
rest
of
the
City
Council.
We
felt
it
with
a
mr.
Nathaniel
Porter
he's
a
breadth
of
knowledge
has
from
13
plus
years
experience
as
a
veteran
service
officer
so
seriously.
If
you
need
to
get
service-connected,
send
them
our
way
and
we'll
get
him
I
squared
away
Tom.
A
Our
next
speaker,
scheduled,
is
Anthony,
Murphy
and
I.
Don't
see
him
in
the
in
the
room
here,
he's
probably
been
detained,
so
I'm
gonna
ask
Commissioner
Boyle
to
give
us
it,
and
thank
you
for
the
date
and
may
I
ask
you
for
a
a
male
copy
of
that
and
copy
the
the
other
commissioners
on
all
those
dates.
There
were
just
too
many
for
me
to
write
down
here
at
that
point.
Thank
you.
So,
okay
go
on
just.
D
A
couple
more
veteran
centered
events
that
are
coming
up
that
they
are
good
to
get
on
the
record
first
is
APO:
WMI
air
mi,
a
chair
of
Honor
dedication.
That's
going
to
be
this
Saturday
at
11:00
a.m.
up
at
Washington's,
Crossing
cemetery
and
following
that
on
the
20th,
there's
going
to
be
a
Pio
wmia
recognition
at
the
Vietnam
Memorial
down
on
Delaware
Avenue
that
only
that's
September
20th.
D
A
D
I
I
A
A
L
My
name
is
Shannon,
she
Lacey
and
yes,
I'm
Air,
Force
yeah
semper
fly
yeah.
The
rest
of
the
family
is
Marines,
so
I'm
actually
here
because
I
am,
as
he
said,
interested
in
getting
very
active
in
the
veterans
community
I
am
now
residing
currently
at
Haven
women.
I
am
a
homeless
veteran
I
am
trying
to
get
into
edit
in
64.
I
have
applied
there.
I
am
a
hundred
hundred
percent
service-connected,
so
I
go
on
for
all
the
channels.
So
I
know
how
to
do
that.
I
know
actually
know.
I
have
a
lot
of
information.
L
I
I've
worked
with
a
lot
of
veterans.
I've
worked,
I've
actually
know
a
lot
of
veterans.
I
know
veterans
from
World
War
two
to
now
so
I'm,
not
here
asking
for
anything
I'm
actually
offering
I'm,
offering
my
help.
Iii
just
want
to
help
I,
don't
want
anything
in
return.
I
just
want
to
get
involved
and
I
want
to
help
I've
gotten
everything
that
I
need
I'm
working
on
my
own.
L
My
homeless
situation
is
because
I
moved
into
West
Philadelphia
got
myself
into
a
bad
situation,
got
out,
I've
only
been
homeless
for
two
months,
I'm
working
on
my
finances
and
I'm
interested
in
possibly
going
to
the
Financial
Group's
organ.
All
my
finances
and
I'll
be
on
my
way
shortly,
but
I'm
just
very
interested
in
getting
myself
involved
and
doing
the
best
that
I
can
for
vets
and
with
all
the
information
that
I
keep
going.
That's
that's
what
I
want
to
do
so,
like
I
said,
I
I,
don't
want
anything
from
anyone
I'm
here
to
offer.
L
So
wherever
I
can
begin,
just
that's
and
I,
like
I
spoke
with
Joe
I
was
at
the
right
place
at
the
right
time
and
got
someone
got
it.
His
email
address
and
we've
been
speaking
and
I
had
been
trying
to
get
up
here,
but
as
usual,
I'm
offering
myself
to
other
people.
Other
veterans
because,
where
I
live,
is
a
home
for
all
homeless,
veteran
women,
all
women
there's
about
10
or
12
of
us,
and
we
actually
I'm
getting
ready
to
be
on
TV
I'm.
Getting
ready
to
be
on
the
CW.
L
A
L
Okay
and
as
I
said,
I
met
Haven
women,
that's
on
Baltimore
Avenue,
it's
right
around
the
corner
from
the
VA
and
I'm,
always
at
the
VA.
They
probably
get
sick
of
seeing
me
because
I'm
I'm
active
in
all
kinds
of
groups
and
there's
always
something
that
I'm
always
doing
there.
So
if
you
guys
are
at
the
VA
I've
never
seen
you
so
I
want
to
see
you
there.
Okay,
it's
nice
meeting
y'all!
Thank
you
very
much.
Thank
you
for
go
all
right.
Thank
you
for
your
service.
B
Let
us
bow
our
heads
today
is
a
day
of
remembering
let
us
hold
in
our
hearts
the
price,
the
ultimate
price
that
has
been
paid
for
our
freedom.
Let
us
continue
to
serve
and
let
us
continue
to
answer
the
call.
We
pray
now
for
safe
travels
to
our
respective
places,
and
we
ask
for
blessings
until
we
need
again
in
your
name.
We
pray,
amen.
A
I
On
Monday
there's
a
veteran,
a
Vietnam
veteran
who's
going
to
give
a
presentation
and
talk
about
his
book
at
the
Union
League
at
American,
Legion
Post
405
from
6:00
to
8:00
on
Monday.
So
you
are
invited
to
the
Union
League
on
Monday
night,
from
6:00
to
8:00,
to
hear
from
a
Vietnam
veteran
Cheers,
hey.
A
Thank
You
Audrey
all
right.
Okay,
thank
everyone
for
coming
today.
I
hope.
The
information
you
heard
was
beneficial
and
you
can
share
it
with
the
other
veterans.
We'd
like
to
see
you
back
again
in
December.
Our
next
meeting
is
December
11th.
Okay,
at
two
o'clock
same
time
same
place.
Okay,
thank
you.
Please
travel
safely.
