Description
No description was provided for this meeting.
If this is YOUR meeting, an easy way to fix this is to add a description to your video, wherever mtngs.io found it (probably YouTube).
A
Thank
you.
All
right
recording
has
started,
and
this
is
the
June
27
2023
Rook
community
meeting.
So
let's
go
ahead
and
jump
into
our
Milestone
checkups
to
see
how
all
the
progress
is
going
as
we're,
especially
as
we're
getting
closer
to
the
end
of
our
1.12
lifestyle
or
Milestone
timeline.
So
nothing
to
talk
about
I,
think
on
1.10
no
planned
patches
there
1.11.8
we
for
1.11.
We
did
a
DOT
eight
patch
release.
That
was
a
couple
days
after
the
last
community
meeting
that
we
had
together.
B
Oh,
hopefully,
they're,
readable
or
understandable.
Let's
see
I
can't
remember
that
or
at
least
already
almost
two
weeks
ago,
that's
right,
East,
Erasure
coding
block
will
config
is
in
the
helm
chart.
Now
that
was
a
nice
feature
from
Olivia.
A
Nothing
else
to
note
to
speak
about
there.
We
can
mention
that
we
do
have
an
upcoming
11
1.11.9
patch
as
well.
So
let's
take
a
look
at
the
project
board
and
just
see
what
the
big
thing
with
might
be
blocking
the
release.
Still
nope
nothing
looks
like
it's
rocking
the
release
and
anything
made
sure
to
call
out
that's
going
out
or
should
be
included
in
that
in
a
couple
days.
A
B
A
B
Again,
I
think
nothing
burning.
There
is
a
kind
of
a
logging
issue
with
the
exporter
that
I've
got
appear
about
ready
for
merge.
It's
not
even
in
this
board
here
is
it
oh.
B
Right
so
it's
not
a
big
issue
really
to
talk
through
anyway,
but
the
the
one
that
says
it's
in
progress
there
was
depend
about
PR's
that
one
doesn't
block
the
release.
It's
just
kind
of
an
annoyance
during
development.
Whenever
the
dependabot
opens
a
PR,
the
it
doesn't
update
all
the
files
it
needs
to,
and
so
then
it
opens
the
pr
and
then
the
CI
fails.
B
Then
we
have
to
push
a
custom
change
to
it,
so
we
need
to
get
that
automated.
This
is
what
the
goal
is
with
this
issue
is.
A
B
Well,
the
issue
is
a
couple:
months
ago
a
Community
member
made
a
change
where
the
a
subset
of
our
go
modules
are
kind
of
a
separate
go
dot.
What's
it
called
the
go.mod
file
is
in
a
subdirectory
under
package
apis,
and
so
so
that
whoever
is
consuming
The
Rook
API
will
have
a
smaller
set
of
dependencies
than
the
entire
module
slab.
I
see.
C
B
B
B
B
Yeah,
so
if
the
Thursday
I
think,
let's
get
the
bi-weekly
release
out
and
I
feel
like
things
are
starting
to
slow
down.
So
probably
after
this
Thursday
we'll
go
and
we'll
reduce
the
frequency
on
the
1.11
patches
for
three
or
four
weeks.
A
Okay,
that
sounds
good.
Then
then
the
big
thing
in
terms
of
Milestones
to
chat
about
today,
then,
is
the
progress
we
have
on
1.12..
So
we
had
talked
in
the
past
couple
Community
meetings
about
the
timing
for
like
Seth
Reef
release
coming
out
and
having
those
builds
ready
for
Travis
going
on
in
a
PTO
I
think
a
little
bit
after
the
weekend,
the
Fourth
of
July.
So
let's
catch
up
on
that
as
well
with
the
dates
that
we've
we've
got
planned
here.
A
B
So
the
the
main
ones
are.
We
need
reach
support,
so
in
the
CBI
we
need
to
be
running
again:
three
aviators
working
through
that
and
we're
troubleshooting
some
issues
with
getting
that
going.
B
Siobhan
has
the
node
loss,
PR
and
then
jiffin
with
the
Cozy
driver.
So
since
all
those
are
really
still
in
progress,
it
just
didn't
seem
realistic
to
try
and
release
next
week,
especially
with
a
long
Fourth
of
July
weekend
for
me
and
some
others.
B
A
Fun
month,
fun
summer,
for
you
Travis,
okay,
cool
yeah,
so
that
definitely
sounds
reasonable.
I
think
this
is
a
good
organization
to
have
too
of
the
three
major
things
we're
tracking
here
that
we
really
want
to
include
in
the
release.
We've
got
those
in
the
blocking
release.
Column.
We've
got
some
dates
that
are
coming
together
for
coordinating
and
getting
releases
out.
A
You
know
going
through
getting
the
Beta
release
candidate
out
and
then
getting
the
final
release
out
on
the
18th
as
well,
so
that
all
sounds
very
reasonable
from
the
way
you've
been
describing.
It.
B
A
A
Okay
and
then,
when
you're
talking
about
the
Seth
Reef
was
everything
still.
You
know
like
with
that,
really
still
going
ahead,
that
you
know
it's
TR,
it's
targeting
a
particular
date
and
it's
it's
trending
towards
that
everything
looks
okay.
B
I've
heard
of
particular
dates
that
they're
targeting
now
for
for
GA
I,
don't
know
Blaine.
If
you
heard
anything
thoughts
on
that,
but
right
no
I
haven't
heard
anything
else.
A
Cool
sounds
good.
All
right,
then
anything
else
that
folks
won't
bring
up
then
for
upcoming
milestones.
1.12.
A
I'm
gonna
update
this
here
as
well:
Travis
July
18th
the
match.
Yes,
thank
you.
A
Okay,
yeah,
that's
outside
all
right,
so
we
talked
about
the
1.12
features
in
progress
in
the
context
of
the
1.12
released.
Was
there
more
discussion
needed
on
the
particular
or
these
specific
PRS
here
then.
B
A
Keep
on
cruising
through
the
agenda
then.
So,
let's
talk
about
the
go
dependencies
and
we
kind
of
touched
on
that
as
well,
but
more
to
say
here.
B
Yeah
I
just
wanted
to
call
out
a
couple
changes.
We
are
building
with
go
1.20
now
we're
basically
removed
support
for
1.19
in
the
latest
master
and
then
probably
in
August.
Go
1.21
will
come
out.
Then
we'll
add
that
at
that
point,
but
this
was
some
of
the
go:
module
updates
and
things
just
want
to
make
sure
we're
on
the
latest
and
greatest
reduce
our
support
Matrix
for
trying
to
get
things
working
with
older
versions
of
go.
B
As
with
the
controller
runtime
0.15,
there
were
some
breaking
changes
that
that
is
merged.
Now,
I'll
get
to
go
there.
It
and
of
Siobhan
is
looking
at
shubham.
Are
you
still
blocked
on
the
you're
testing
with
the
node
loss?
Or
did
you
get
past
that
now
because
of
the
controller
update.
C
So
I
had
took
care
a
couple
of
PR
on
the
CSA
add-ons.
There
was
that,
because
they
were
using
older
version
of
controller
runtime,
so
I
had
to
update
their
yes.
A
C
And
by
the
way,
with
the
latest
controller
one
thing
we
have
one
logging
issue,
kindly
it
it
is
not
affecting
the
hook
operator,
live
safety,
but
I
think
yeah.
We
can
try
to
fix
it.
B
C
A
B
B
A
Yep,
okay,
it
sounds
good,
it's
also
yeah
good
they're,
not
just
yeah
they
could.
The
controller
runtime
is
continued
to
stay
up
to
date
as
well.
That's
that's
very
good
to
stay
on
top
of
that
all
right,
so
we
got
the
the
CTL.
Plugin
has
been
released
as
well
with
the
full
shift
over
to
being
implemented
and
go.
B
B
A
And
I'll
go
ahead
and
Link
it
to
the
release,
notes
Here
for
it
as
well.
So
we
have
that
in
the
dock.
A
A
Like
on
you
know
my
Milestone,
you
know
project
planning
particular
milestones,
and
you
know
issues
that
we
want
included
in
particular
releases
and
dates
and
all
that
sort
of
stuff.
Then
that
does
make
sense
if
it's
still
a
little
ad
hoc,
then
you
know.
C
A
Yeah
that
that
sounds
right
to
me
all
right,
sweet,
so
yeah
thanks
Josh.
That's
that's,
definitely
amazing.
To
point
to
get
to
now.
The
next
engine
item
here
is
that
the
main
trainer
track
is
now
open
for
submissions,
so
that
I
think
it's
something
like
July
16th
or
something
I
think
the
due
date
I
think
so
then
it'll
definitely
be
a
good
idea
to
do.
A
B
Yeah
for
North
America,
yeah,
Blaine
and
I
would
plan
on
that
I
haven't
heard
of
I
posted
in
the
maintainers
channel.
First
to
see
what
interest
I
don't
remember,
seeing
a
reply
for
who,
who
else
might
be
interested?
It's
all
I'll
ping
that
group
again
and
then
we
could
ex.
If
we
don't
have
four,
then
we
can
expand
to
other
others
who
may
be
interested
so
because
last
time
we
had
Blaine
and
I
and
Deepika
and
Alexander.
B
B
's
might
be
possible.
B
A
Alrighty
cool
yeah:
if
there's
not
you
know
this
like
it,
it
is
totally
reasonable
to
submit
with
just
Travis
and
Blaine
as
well
right.
We
don't
have
to
have
all
four
spots
filled,
it's
nice
to
get
the
speakers
and
more
opportunities
and
stuff
like
that.
But
if
they're
you
know
if
people.
B
A
A
Terms
of
like,
like
diversity,
requirements
and
stuff
right
like
organizational
diversity
and
stuff
like
that,
yeah
I,
assume
that
that's
still
the
case,
I
I
would
be
really
surprised
if
they,
if
they
removed
that
requirement.
A
B
A
B
A
Time
you
know,
because
I
submitted
some
cfps
or
some
proposals
to
already
for
the
the
main.
You
know
call
for
proposals
and
they're.
It's
this
they're
using
a
new
tool.
This
time,
it's
like
sessionized
I,
think
is
the
tool.
So
it's
a
new
system,
new
tool,
so
I
would
not
be
surprised.
Then,
if
some
of
the
requirements
like
still
exist,
but
maybe
they're
not
being
displayed
or
enforced
within
the
tool
this
time,
because
they
just
the
first
submission
life
cycle
with
this
new
tool.
A
So
if
there's
some
gaps,
I
wouldn't
surprise,
but
I
would
be
shocked
if
the
if
the
policy
actually
changed
yeah
exactly
right,
yeah,
so
just
I
would
count
on
count
on
the
policy
still
being.
There
is
what
I
would
I
would
recommend
safe
assumption,
yep,
all
right,
cool
and
then
also
yeah,
there's
a
submissions
we
could
do
for
a
keynote
updates:
video
right,
60
seconds,
so
the
the
struggle
I
had
when
I
read
that
what
is
that
it's
it's
pretty
far
away
from
the
deadline's
really
far
away
from
the
keynote
itself.
A
B
You
know
for
people
on
Amsterdam,
it
was
I
almost
went
out
with
a
video,
but
I
just
ran
out
of
time,
but
seeing
the
videos
it's
like.
Okay,
we
can
do
that.
It's
yeah.
A
It's
a
keynote
part
of
the
keynote
we
should
probably
do
it.
I
had
to
regret
not
doing
it
as
well,
so
yeah,
that's
totally
worth
doing,
even
if
it
is
going
to
be
stale
like
it's
still
good.
You
know
publicity
and
getting
the
project
in
front
of
you
know
attendees
and
people
watching
it
so
yeah.
That's
the
right
thing
to
do.
A
B
So
if
anybody
else
wants
to
be
involved
in
making
that,
let
me
know-
and
that's
all
I've
got
for
the
agenda
from
my
perspective-
I
added
myself-
an
action
item
to
with
Matt
to
get
a
Blog
image
early.
So
we
don't
come
at
the
last
second.
A
And
yes,
that's
a
good
idea,
go
ahead
and
get
that
started
now,
while
there's
a
telescope
who's
left,
yeah
and
then
I
mentioned
it
before
we
started
the
meeting.
But
I
did
actually
make
some
progress
here
on
the
set
of
getting
the
second
extended
app
set
up
so
that
we
will
have
you
know
a
a
stable
invitation
link
and
a
nice
experience
for
people
to
self-service,
join
the
slack
community
and
all
that
stuff.
A
So
I
have
like
a
test
environment,
that's
up
and
working,
and
so
I
need
to
figure
out
like
how
are
we
like
the
process
for
how
we
would
do
a
cutover
of
the
DNS
and
all-
and
you
know,
swapparoo
the
old
app
there.
So
I
will
run
that
by
everybody
like
that,
maintainer
Channel
or
whatever,
with
kind
of
what
the
what
the
process
will
be
and
then
get
some
eyes
on
it
to
make
sure
I'm
not
talking
crazy.
There.
B
A
A
A
Up
and
make
that
happen,
I've
got
done
here
for
tonight
in
EU
before
I
head
out
with
some
family
dinner
stuff,
but
maybe
tomorrow
I'll
be
following
up
on
it,
but
it
should
be
pretty
soon
sounds
good
cool.
Okay,
then
any
other
agenda
topics
before
we
maybe
adjourn
a
little
early
here.
A
Okay,
well,
I
guess:
that's
it
then
good
to
see
everybody
and
lots
of
exciting
stuff
as
we're
working
towards
the
1.12
release,
and
you
know
all
these
opportunities
we
have
at
the
Kube
cards
and
stuff
coming
up
so
good
to
see
everybody.
