doing
my

morning,
where
I
did
a
test
of
the
best
streaming
endpoint
in
sao
paulo
and
I'm
streaming
to
that,
whatever,
whatever
we're
not
going
to
talk
about
streaming
today,
so
this
guy's
using
microkates
and
microkates,
uses
google's
dns
servers
by
default
and
he
needed
to
talk
to
some
local
host
in
his
environment.
Now
I
would
have
just
pointed
the
core
dns
config
at
my
internal
name
servers.

So
if
you
are
using,
this
isn't
just
a
micro
case
thing
if
you
are
using
any
kubernetes
cluster
and
you
want
a
central
place
to
put
dns
resolution
information
such
as
like
you
would
do
in
an
etsy
host
file,
you
don't
want
to
be
putting
in
every
single
one
of
your
pods.
The
hosts
plugin
allows
you
to
do
that.
A
You
can
either
load
the
actual
etsy
host
file
off
of
the
host.
You
can
load
other
hosts
files
off
of
the
host
and
probably
wouldn't
go
that
route,
because
that
requires
managing
the
hosts
on
well
managing
files
on
hosts.
You
can
set
it
to
fall
through
so
it'll.
Actually,
you
know
if
it
doesn't
have
a
match.
There.
It'll
fall
through
to
other
configuration,
or
you
can
do
what
this
guy
did,
where
you
can
actually
just
create
a
host
entry
in
core
dns.

It's
like
ca

or
whatever,
but
with
even
less
control
over
that,
because
if,
if
they
have
access
to
all
of
the
system,
call
tool
chain
well
tool,
chain's,
probably
not
the
right
word
if
they
have
access
to

whatever

want
to
do,
then
somebody's
going
to
figure
out
how
to
break
out
of
that
jail.
Setcomp
restricts
the
syscalls
that
the
container
can
actually
talk
to
and
if
it
tries
to
talk
to
something
that
it's
not
allowed
to
talk
to
the
kernel
just
kills
it
like.

questions
asked
no
deny
it
just
boom
done
you're
done
and
then
the
container
restarts-
and
hopefully
it
behaves
better.
There
are
a
few
different
camps
on
how
to
get
set
comp
enforcement
into
kubernetes
and
the
reason
I
want
to
talk
about
what
this
guy's
done
is.
He
was
looking
at
all
of
this
complexity
and
he
decided
a
few
months
ago
to
just
create
an
operator
that
simplifies
it.
So
it's
still
in
development,
it's
nowhere
near
ready,
but
he
has
a
solid
roadmap
for
getting
to
ga
and
I'm
going
to
turn
my
heater
off.

All
right,
I
have
a
gas
heater
in
my
room
and
I
shut
my
door
when
I
start
the
stream
and
if
I
don't
turn
it
off
pretty
quickly.
My
my
office
here
is
going
to
just
turn
into
something
that
makes
it
difficult
to
breathe
and
the
show
will
become
very
interesting,
so
he
has
a
path
for
getting
to
ga.
But
what
I
liked
about
what
he's?
A
What
he's
striving
for
here
is
it'll
aim,
so
it
aims
provides
second
profiles
as
cluster-wide
custom
resources,
converting
them
from
the
complex
difficult
for
a
human
to
understand,
json
model
that
they
are
right
now
to
a
more
readable
crd
format.
That
includes
strong
defaults,
it'll
be
an
operator,
so
the
intent
there
is
to
allow
it
to
sync
satcom
profiles
across
all
of
the
nodes
and
and
his
ultimate
goal
is
to
give
a
streamlined
way
to
add,
set
comp
profiles
to
workloads.

project
seems
to
have
the
actual
consumers
in
mind
and
multiple
times.
Last
week
I
talked
about
security
and
how
security
is
something
that
that
it's,
it's
just
a
constant
effort,
but
the
harder
it
is,
the
less
likely
people
are
to
do
it.
So
if
he
can
make
setcomp
profiles
easier
to
use,
then
people
will
actually
use
them
and
from
what
I've
been
reading
about
them,
while
they're
not
a
fit
for
everything,
they're,
definitely
a
fit
for
places
that
want
absolute
control
over
what
their
workloads
are
allowed
to
do.

this

and
security
certification

Absolutely
I'm
talking
about
setcomp9
enginex
nginx
is
cool
for
other
reasons,
so
these
these
guys
nginx
released
version
1.8
in
their
overview
article.
Here
they
talk
about
the
the
various
features
that
are
available,
and
this
was
one
of
those.

This
seems
to
be
the
way
that
that
people
are
going
for
for
overcoming
the
limitations
of
ingress
ingress
is
a
stock
kubernetes
resource,
so
they
can't
really.
They
can't
modify
it.
They
have
to
come
up
with
their
own
things
when
they
want
to
do
more
and
you'll
see
this
here,
you'll
see
it
in
istio.

This
remember
nginx
is
a
company.
They
have
to
make
money,
they
have
commercial
products.
One
of
those
is
a
web
application,
firewall
called
nginx
app
protect
and
the
1.8
version
of
the
ingress
controller,
if
you
have
a
license
for
app
protect,
will
allow
you
to
build
that
into
the
actual
binary
itself.
So
you
can
build
your
own
container
image
with
the
web
application
firewall
in
it.

That
to
me
seems
like
a
fantastic
idea
because
having
it
in
the
ingress
controller
is
better
than
having
to
like
split
your
traffic
out
to
something
else,
a
side,
car
and
then
have
it.
You
know
come
back
in
and
just
having
it
all
in
one
place
seems
like
a
seems
like
a
good
thing
for
a
while
they've
had
snippets
and
custom
templates
and
they've
added
more
functionality
around
that,
so
that
you
can
include
raw
nginx
configuration
directives,
including
things
that
aren't
necessarily
supported
by
the
ingress
controller,
which
the
ingress
controller.
A
While
it's
nginx,
it's
a
modified
version
of
nginx
different
from
the
normal
nginx
web
server
that
you
might
run
standalone
on
a
box
somewhere.
So
it
has
a
limited
number
of
things
that
you
can
tell
it
to
do
by
enabling
snippets
and
custom
templates
they're
actually
expanding
what
you
can
do
for
your
ingresses,
without
necessarily
having
to
go
all
the
way
to
the
virtual
server
and
the
virtual
server
route.

It
decouples
end
users
from
the
backend
by
adding
a
new
rewrite
layer
so
that
you
can
rewrite
request
and
response
headers
on
both
upstream
and
downstream
connections.
So
you
can,
like
it'll,
sit
in
the
middle
instead
of
just
something's
coming
in
and
you
change
it
you
send
it
on.
You
can
literally
make
it
look
like
it's
two
different
things
in
each
direction.

extends
that
for
the
virtual
server
and
virtual
server
route
resources
to
make
running
multiple
ingress
controllers
easier
to
to
do-
and
I
also
like
that,
although
it
it
points
to
a
lot
of
their
commercial
products
for
the
integration,
they've
done
a
really
good
job
of
making
sure
that
a
lot
of
the
functionality
that
doesn't
require
a
license
has
come
all
the
way
down
to
the
open
source
version.
So
it's
it's
not
like.

When
I
was
first
reading
this
last
night,
I
thought.
Maybe
all
of
this
was,
for
you
know,
a
commercial
release,
but
I
went
and
dug
in
further
and
no
all
of
this
is
available
in
the
stock.
Open
source
engine
x,
ingress
controller,
it's
just
if
you
want
to
use
the
license
products.
You're
gonna
have
to
build
your
own
image
and
you
have
to
have
a
license
for
adding
the
extra
components
to
it.

Is
terraform?
Is
I'm
reading
people's
comments
as

I
have
I
have
multiple
windows
open
with
stuff
going
on
so
so.
Terraform
is
a
great
thing
for
infrastructure
as
code
and
it's
always
supported
hcl
and
json,
and
then
they
have
beta
support
for
crds.
Well,
what
the
cdk
does
is.
It
enables
you
to
create
terraform
code
from
other
languages.

They
have
support
for
typescript
and
python
right
now
I
saw
python
and
I
got
very
excited
because
I
still
do
all
of
my
stuff
in
python
and
in
fact
I
specifically
don't
use
terraform,
because
every
time
I
sit
down
to
do
it
it's
for
a
one-off
project.
I'm
gonna
have
to
learn
a
new
configuration
language
that
I'm
going
to
forget
afterwards,
and
I
try
to
avoid
doing
things
like
that.
Being
able
to
do
stuff
in
python
means
that
I'll
have
a
better
association
in
my
mind
and
I'll
retain
the
information
for
longer.

there's
a
whole

the
cdk
with
demos
and
examples
on
how
to
get
started.
This
is
specifically
for
typescript,
but
in
their
documentation
you
can
find
information
about
the
python
one,
and
then
this
gentleman
took
it
one
step
further
and
wrote
an
article
on
how
to
use
the
cdk
to
deploy
kubernetes
with
terraform
on
azure,
azure
kind
of
gets
a
bomb
wrap,
they're
they're.

think
they're
actually
number
two
there's
aws
and
then
azure
and
I
think
actually
google
cloud
is,
is
behind
microsoft.
But
whenever
I
hear
people
talking
about
it,
the
azure
folks
love
azure,
like
the
people
who
are
in

azure
camp,

the
azure
camp
and
it's
actually
very
popular
in
latin
america.
It's
more
popular
down
here
than
aws
or
google
cloud,
but
as
far
as
the
the
when
people
create
content
on
how
to
do
stuff
with
it,
it
seems
to
just
like
come
in
last.

this
goes

how
to
well
how
to
get
started,
how
to
deploy
kubernetes
on
azure
using
typescript
again,
but
that's
fine
and
it
gets
really
in
depth
on
on
not
just
like
a
getting
started,
but
how
to
actually
deploy
kubernetes
the
code
that
you
actually
have
to
use
scrolling
down
here
to
see.
If
so,
we've
got
environment
variables
generating
the
terraform.
It's
a
very
detailed,
step-by-step
on
how
to
get
it
up
and
running,
and
he
goes
on
to
explain
the
additional
value
of
using
a
programming
language
that
I
didn't
even
realize.

reading
about
the
cdk,
it
gives
you
access
to
things
like
compilers,
linters,
libraries
and
tools,
debuggers,
and
it
separates
your
terraform
deployment
instruction
set
in
such
a
way
that
you
can
actually
process
it
before
applying
it.
So
if,
if
there's
a
linter
available
for
it,
if
there's
you'll
catch
syntax
errors,
you'll
catch
configuration
errors
and
it
it
makes
what
you're
doing
more
robust
from
the
beginning.
Instead
of
write,
it
apply
it.

come

fix
it

it.

usually
uses
traffic,
but
wonders
if
engine
x
is
more
preferred
for
lightweight,
not
necessarily
the
nginx
ingress
controller,

express
controller
is
just
more
common.

containers

have
mesh
as

service

which
uses
the
same
directives
that
traffic
uses,
but
for
service
mesh
functionality.

built
