Come check out some of the animals available for adoption at the St. Charles County Pet Adoption Center.
A
Hello
and
welcome
to
humane
touch,
I'm
Teresa
Williams,
the
director
for
the
division
of
humane
services.
The
division
of
humane
services
protects
the
health
and
safety
of
st.
Charles
County
residents
and
pets
by
licensing
and
regulating
animals,
housing,
strays
and
investigating
complaints.
The
the
division
works
to
prevent
mistreatment
and
injury
to
animals
by
enforcing
regulations
for
their
care
control
in
custody.
The
division
of
Humane
Services
operates
the
Pet
Adoption
Center,
located
on
mid
rivers,
mall
drive
across
from
st.
Charles
Community
College.
It
features
a
very
active
adoption
program.
A
If
you're
looking
for
a
new
friend,
then
the
pet
adoption
center
is
the
perfect
place
to
start.
There
are
always
plenty
of
different
animals
to
choose
from,
and
every
dog
or
cat
is
spayed
or
neutered.
Microchipped
vaccinated,
licensed
heartworm,
checked
and
checked
out
by
a
veterinarian.
The
fees
are
sixty
dollars
or
under
for
dogs
and
forty
dollars
or
under
forecasts.
Now
that's
the
best
deal
in
town,
no
matter
where
you
look
now,
let
me
introduce
you
to
just
some
of
our
special
friends
that
are
ready
for
forever
homes.
Right
now,.

A
It's
always
best
to
spay
and
neuter
your
pet
for
many
different
reasons,
primarily
because
behaviorally
it
makes
your
animal
a
little
more
sound
and
medically.
It
makes
your
animal
more
sound.
Your
animal,
if
it's
spayed
or
neutered,
is
less
likely
to
get
certain
types
of
cancers
and
other
types
of
medical
conditions
that
can
happen
more
frequently
with
animals
that
are
not
spayed
or
neutered.

A
If
you
have
a
female
in
heat
and
then
she's
going
to
go
into
heat
every
six
months,
it
could
be
very
messy
and
you're
going
to
have
to
deal
with
all
of
the
males
that
are
attracted.
You
have
to
confine
her
and
keep
her
segregated
for
that
period
of
time
that
she's
in
heat,
so
it
can
be
very
cumbersome
and
problematic,
especially
for
a
busy
family,
to
try
to
have
to
worry
about
those
things.
B
A
Most
importantly,
you
don't
want
to
bring
unwanted
kittens
and
puppies
into
this
world.
We
have
tons
of
animals
like
that
already
available
for
adoption
at
any
shelter
anywhere
in
the
United
States.
So
there's
plenty
of
puppies
and
kittens
already
to
choose
from
so
don't
bring
more
in
to
the
community
that
when
they're
already
there
waiting
to
find
new
homes.

of
