Come check out all the animals at the St. Charles County Pet Adoption Center looking for a Fur-ever home!
A
Hello
and
welcome
to
humane
touch,
I'm
Teresa
Williams,
the
director
for
the
division
of
humane
services.
The
division
of
humane
services
protects
the
health
and
safety
of
st.
Charles
County
residents
and
pets
by
licensing
and
regulating
animals,
housing,
strays
and
investigating
complaints.
The
the
division
works
to
prevent
mistreatment
and
injury
to
animals
by
enforcing
regulations
for
their
care
control
in
custody.
The
division
of
Humane
Services
operates
the
Pet
Adoption
Center,
located
on
mid
rivers,
mall
drive
across
from
st.
Charles
Community
College.
It
features
a
very
active
adoption
program.
A
If
you're
looking
for
a
new
friend,
then
the
pet
adoption
center
is
the
perfect
place
to
start.
There
are
always
plenty
of
different
animals
to
choose
from,
and
every
dog
or
cat
is
spayed
or
neutered.
Microchipped
vaccinated,
licensed
heartworm,
checked
and
checked
out
by
a
veterinarian.
The
fees
are
sixty
dollars
or
under
for
dogs
and
forty
dollars
or
under
for
cats.
Now
that's
the
best
deal
in
town,
no
matter
where
you
look
now,
let
me
introduce
you
to
just
some
of
our
special
friends
that
are
ready
for
forever
homes.
Right
now,.

A
Finding
a
pet
that
fits
your
lifestyle
is
very
important
because
many
people
come
to
the
shelter
to
choose
a
pet
thinking
of
something
that
they
have
in
mind.
That
was
something
from
their
past.
Perhaps
they
grew
up
with
an
Australian
Shepherd
or
maybe
they
had
german
shepherds
in
their
family
when
they
were
growing
up,
but
now
they
live
in
an
apartment
or
a
condo,
or
maybe
they
travel
a
lot.
So
now
they
have
to
rethink
what
type
of
animal
would
fit
that
lifestyle.

A
If
you
have
children,
you
have
to
consider
what
kind
of
dog
or
cat
would
be
best
with
your
children
and
what
age
groups
they
are.
You
also
have
to
consider
how
much
time
you
will
be
able
to
spend
with
an
animal
and
how
much
time
all
of
the
members
of
the
family
will
be
able
to
spend
with
an
animal.
How
busy
is
the
family?
Most
people
are
very
busy
today.
A
So
all
those
things
have
to
be
taken
into
account
when
you
decide
what
type
of
animal
to
bring
to
your
home,
because
when
you
make
that
decision,
the
animal
really
needs
to
be
the
high
priority,
and
you
have
to
determine
that
you
will
be
able
to
provide
for
that.
Animals
needs
every
single
day
of
its
life.
A
It
is
important
to
know
that
we
change
the
type
of
animals
that
we
get
every
day,
they're
always
different.
So
if
you
come
down
one
day
and
you
don't
see
something
that
you
particularly
are
interested
in
just
keep
coming
down
and
visiting
us
at
different
times,
because
we
get
different
animals
every
single
day,
so
they
change.
B
B
C
A
Just
keep
looking
and
don't
be
afraid
to
call
and
ask
a
question
about
a
particular
animal.
If
that's
what
you're
thinking
about
getting
don't
be
afraid
to
do
your
own
research
by
getting
on
the
internet
talking
your
veterinarian
talking
to
people
that
you
know
that
have
those
types
of
animals
and
to
and
try
to
make
an
informed
decision
about
what
you
think
would
be
best
for
your
your
family
and
please
visit
the
shelter
because
we
do
have
lots
of
experts
down
there.
That
can
help
you
with
that
decision.
