uh Today we uh we voted on additional voting locations and uh I'm not opposed to early voting.

A

I think it's a great idea. I think what we've done is: we've allowed more people to become involved in.

A

The voting process and honestly we've heard about disenfranchised and disenfranchisement.

A

Of voters and specifically the lexington park area- and I think it's very important- we have.

A

One there I voted against the third location, not because I'm against the third location.

A

But we've only had one now we're going going to three. uh I would like to see how it worked with.

A

Two, I was a little surprised that we've already have a lease with a location through 2028 seems.

A

Like it kind of hindered us our ability to to look at the best bang for the buck,.

A

But it all gets to be about what's nice to have and what we need. We have absentee voting. We have.

A

They're going to be mailing, everybody that the ability to get an absentee ballot.

A

We have those drop-off places that boxes that you can drop your absentee ballot in plus we have the.

A

Day of voting day, it just seems like we have quite a bit and I just think to spend an additional 200.

A

000, I I just wish we would have done two instead of three, but it is what it is and we go with the.

A

Majority decision, uh secondly, we all like to know in the future when we made decisions in the past.

A

To say like if I hadn't known that, then I may have made a different decision. What I'm referring to is.

A

Is we did our budget back in uh april and or or early may, and the point was: is that.

A

During may and june, we got our revenues from the state and they were higher than expected.

A

That's good news, that's good news. We may in fact be somewhat teflon protected from the events of.

A

Covet in that year of lockdown that we had and that slow economic activity we had going on.

A

And if that's the case, that's good news. It makes this, commissioner feel better about.

A

What we had to do for ems, that I fully support, hiring all the contractual.

A

uh Or, let's call them career people there and look whatever we have to do to get ambulances to people.

A

In the least amount of time it's a good idea, but hopefully these revenues will continue.

A

I still believe there'll be a day of reckoning with what the covet impact was on us.

A

Economically, I think we'll still have some kind of reckoning once the stimulus money goes away.

A

But hey, maybe it won't be as bad and maybe we're more resilient than than we think tonight.

A

Public forum, excellent opportunity- this is an open mic, come up whatever you think you have in mind.

uh We want to hear from you please take the opportunity to do that. Lastly, it's been hot, you.

Know keep an eye on your pets, other people who may not have air conditioning. Hopefully everybody does.

A

But just kind of keep an eye on your community and help out where you can.

A

And stay hydrated and try not to do too much in this heat. Thank you.
