Last night on the statewide redistricting and it's very important that we all pay attention.

To this, because it throws our counties some of the boards that the maps I've seen uh part of it.

Totally up into anne arundel county of all places, and these things we've got to really look at hard.

A

And and you got to voice your opinion, you have any if you want to go check out the website, go.

Ahead and check it out and make your opinion known um the how much testimony it took last night, but.

It took an hour to get to me when I finally got it. There's a bunch of people testifying.

And the other day, we're also something else has been pretty important too. I'm.

A

On his opioid litigation board uh with mako and we're having a problem with the state.

A

You might say getting all the money they don't want to give much to us as far as the counties.

A

So it takes we're working on that with uh mecca's representation and six of us on the board for.

A

Maryland association county and then there are six others on the ml. They call it. The municipality.

A

Side and, of course, a bunch of lawyers, so it's uh it's an interesting citrus what's going on, but.

A

The county wants, I mean the state wants to control all the money, and I I told mr frost, the other.

A

Night, I said: look we're very capable of spending our own money. We really don't need the state to.

A

Regulate and tell us how to spend our money. We have a problems like everybody else, even the big.

A

Counties, uh we all have these drug problems and we spend a lot of money already in our county.

A

Trying to rehabilitate uh people and get them back out there in society, and it's going to be.

A

An ongoing thing: it's not going to stop and it's a very costly project and I I would like to see.

A

Us get some of this funding. I think there's about almost 500 million coming to the state.

A

Another thing, too, is the uh the veterans day parade it's very touching. To me I mean, I suppose,.

A

It's been 26 years in the air force time in vietnam and memorial day I mean veterans day.

A

Is very, uh I got to push back and say wow, I just remember all the unfortunately, the men and mainly.

A

Men over in vietnam who died at a very young age, 18, 19, 20 years old and never got a chance to see.

A

Life like I have and I'm grateful to god for that, but then at the same time, all veterans need to be.

A

Treated with dignity and everything else, it took a hard time for a lot of the vietnam veterans to.

A

Realize um you might say the government sort of suppressed a lot of things like for those.

A

Who are exposed to agent orange? It was probably almost 20 years before they finally decided. Okay,.

A

Yeah that probably could have caused some of your diseases because allowed me to die by that time.

A

But anyway, thanks for straightening that a little more respect now for the veterans and they're.

A

Getting a little more better care just like for us down here for those who don't realize we have two.

A

Two uh actually central base operating centers or va outpatient clinics in most counties, we'd like.

A

To get one and we've got two of them right here in our sort of tri-county type of thing, but it's.

A

Brought a lot closer than going to washington, dc and baltimore for many of our veterans.

A

And I'm grateful for that. That being said, uh enjoy your thanksgiving and don't eat too much turkey.
