Seeking a final direction for our budget and it has been a trying time and we're not sure.

Still, you have to look uh past uh a few feet in front of you. It's a the future of the county.

Years to come, we're not sure how all this going to impact after coven we've got a lot of things. We've.

Done capital improvements and everything we've got a tremendous amount of new ft's we're going to.

A

Commit to- and these are, these are recurring expenses that we've got to look at and make sure.

A

We got enough money to to fund this, and hopefully we can do the right thing. Make great decisions.

A

Today, uh yesterday and I'm sorry sunday, I had a chance to uh take one of our museum trips uh from.

A

Saint columbus, around saint columbus island, saint francis museum, and then we ended up at this.

A

Morse point for dinner, and I want to thank uh miss christine barber for her efforts in doing this.

A

It was well attended, everybody first paid their money, they were there and there was a good trip.

A

We had mr dr gerard, who owned most of the area here at one time, uh give us a briefing on how he.

A

Did what he did why he did it and explaining some of the history of uh southern maryland from the 16.

A

Mid 16 30s on to 17 something when he was here and it was fascinating and they did a very good job.

A

That man was, mr mike barber, he's a very he's, a very good historian, type of guy down there and.

A

So I I thank both of them for their work. They're doing for this, I think I was told the future trips.

A

Already sold out, I think the next they had like four or five more. They seem to be all sold out.

A

So I'm saying that we've got a lot of great programs here in our county with parks and.

A

Rec and uh uh I advise you to go ahead and sign up and use them and uh like everything else, I want to.

A

Thank all those who volunteer uh I've been working with the dav. That's the disabled, american veterans,.

A

To find them sort of a permanent home to to do their services. For those of you who don't know.

A

The dc american veterans is probably the top group that helps veterans, secure things within the va.

A

Loans, medical attention, both medical and mental, it's a it's a great great organization.

A

And they've been scattered around the county, trying to work in various. They were in the.

A

The two see bots we just had, but they were thrown out during coven, so they've been working out at.

A

Vfw and other resources so we're trying our best to find them a a permanent home to set.

A

Up shop, where they can help our veterans and thank you dav for all you've done.
