You're right about easter here and uh some of the reasons spring is a lot earlier than I expected.

A

Already because I got flowers blooming that that usually is weeks away and uh everything's worked.

A

Out- and I will say, I got three camellia trees that fairly seldom have a chance to boom, because you.

A

Use the buzz get frozen and they never do a good breed, but this year all three of them were just.

A

Unbelievable and just to look at them, they're, just it's just amazing, so enjoy this I enjoy spring. I.

Enjoy watching everything grow and they, like you, said the weeds in the grass grow too. Damn fast.

A

But are coming up okay, we have a interesting budget this year and do anything to say.

A

Is it's not over yet we've got to wait till the end of the session. Up in up in annapolis is done.

A

uh Our public hearing on the 27th and we have the month of may to make reconciliation and changes.

A

To this budget as needed- and I hopefully would come up with a good budget- that's to me this.

A

Is the most important part of my job every year we work on this budget for almost seven months.

A

To come up with a budget for the next fiscal year and there's a lot in there as far as ftes, because.

A

We're expanding, and some of these are because of our.

A

Detention center uh and next year, we'll probably have the opening of our animal con facility uh and.

A

They started clearing the land already so uh so these are things that we have to include.

A

In this budget, because they're probably going to happen this fiscal year coming up.

A

So it's important that we keep an eye on what is happening. Why we're expanding? What's going on.

A

Now things I'm looked like that, too, is to give a little chance for some of this covid to pass us by.

A

And hopefully, things will get relaxed a little bit and things may change and we'll get more of our.

A

Volunteers back in service- and things like that, so uh I want to be careful about how we go into a.

A

Full-Time operations on any kind of commitment here, so we got to be careful how we do that.

A

And uh we don't know about these grants and the spending that we're getting down from.

A

The federal government state it's great to see all this money. It's unbelievable.

A

But then, at the same time we have to be careful about how we spend this on capital improvements.

A

Because all of a sudden they become reoccurring, costs we've got to fund them every year. From now.

A

On we have to take care of the buildings and structures we have to put people into them.

A

These are reoccurring, costs that last us for a lifetime. So we have to be careful about how we.

A

Budget, this money, how we use it next. uh Once again, I want to thank dr brewster for her.

A

Cooperation and her hard work during this covid19 pandemic and her uh her all of her.

A

People and all the great volunteers have been a part of this service.

A

I was impressed today my wife and I volunteered out there in hollywood to help, and it was amazing.

A

The people that were there, volunteering to give shots to our people- and this will continue on.

A

With that said, uh uh churches are opening up a little more now. We've got a little more capacity.

A

uh We're gonna try to make our easter sunday services this year. So uh let's go ahead and.

A

Attend and uh thank god for what we do have right now, so easter time is sunday and so enjoy.
