Well, commercial morgan: there's one thing that you highlighted there: it's unfunded mandates and I'll.

Add taxes because that's what annapolis is definitely good at uh pushing down more.

Unfunded mandates and taxes so that we have no clue what's going to happen with that, we.

A

Are coming up to a budget work session? um One of many, as commissioner morgan stated, you know you.

A

Look at the numbers you look at uh covet, 19 and the effect it's had across the country. I think.

A

There's man mandates that we need to do that are already in the budget or previously planned.

A

From the budget but other than that, I I I don't have a very uh looking at the numbers running.

A

The numbers- I I don't, I don't see a lot of these requests being uh granted. uh It's gonna be tough.

A

And I think there's gonna have to be some give and take or actually more give um than anything coming.

A

Into this budget year, so we're prepared for the fallout in the next next two fiscal years, which is.

A

Is evidently going to happen, uh I would like to thank pnc again um and commissioner morgan. I know.

A

He was involved in the uh in the beginning, talks with the pnc bank being that it's his district.

A

And he's very involved down there with trying to get resources, especially things like this.

A

To me, the the behavioral health hub is important because we do have a mental health crisis.

A

In our country, in our state, in our county, it's there when you look at how things are going.

A

If this behavioral hub is there and we can get the mobile crisis team up and running, there's likely.

A

To be a lot more, things addressed our veterans, the mental health that goes along with that, and it can.

A

Hopefully, avoid law enforcement contact and that's what I hope. I hope that what we can do is get.

A

People help prior to it reaching the the critical mass that a police officer has to get involved.

A

Unfortunately, that's you know sometimes just the way it goes, regardless of what you do and what you.

A

Try but at least if we have a mechanism in place that can help, uh even if it's at that time of.

A

Critical mass- I think that is so important uh for the individuals that that need mental health, help.

A

And uh go from there the the system that the state has in place with emergency petitions. I I tell you.

A

I believe it's just lackluster at best and you go in and within a few hours, you're usually gone.

A

And you're back out, you truly don't get any help. It just alleviates that critical moment. That's.

A

There um and I've seen it time and time again, you know I bring somebody in and and by the time.

A

I'm leaving the hospital the doctor's discharging them, and it's like: why did we even do what we do.

A

And bring it here we need. We need to get that care straightened out.

A

So this morning I realized I was one of our staff. Members came in and said: hey our.

A

Cell phones, because I had to switch out my phone and um the phone's old.

A

But what we're doing is we're not recycling these phones, due to various different reasons.

A

Well, these phones, because we have a non-profit policy in uh in county government they're.

A

Able to dial 9-1-1 so I've reached out to the center for family advocacy.

A

And I spoke to the county administrator and said: hey, look. We have these phones sitting there.

A

They're always in need of emergency phones for domestic violence. They don't have to dial anything.

A

But 9-1-1, and it looks like that, is starting to uh happen where they're going to send over an email.

A

And whatever phones, we have are going to be able to go to domestic violence, victims and.

A

Or their family members that need to be able to call 9-1-1 to get the police there in that.

A

Meantime, as well as the county, I don't know how many are left. We do have desktop computers for.

A

Non-Profs, I think this is a great time for you to go ahead and reach out if you're a certified.

A

Non-Prof we do have those computers available, uh maybe perfect timing with the fact school is.

A

Starting back up, maybe there's a non-profit that works with schools where a kid needs a computer.

A

There's there's so many different things that the the county government here can help you with so.

A

Please reach out: um do we have uh beyond the email, dr bridget, do we have a point of contact for that.

A

For the computers yeah, it goes straight to the I.t department. They generate that so.

They can they. It goes into bob kelly's office. Okay, so you go to our website.

Go to the it section and you can uh reach out and it goes into his office and they'll start.

A

All the paperwork right there and and hopefully get you some computers and we'll get those phones.

A
