Introducing
fresco
great
tasting
fresh
food
from
around
the
world,
the
Sterling
pencil
fresh
brand
has
been
in
schools
across
our
council
area
for
nearly
10
years.
We
have
recognized
that
a
lot
has
changed
in
catering
outlets
on
the
high
street.
In
that
time
our
service
has
changed
too
to
reflect
this
and
we're
always
looking
at
trialing
and
bringing
new
products
into
our
service.
That
was
one
of
the
reasons
we
undertook
our
schools,
school
meals,
branding
project.
We
asked
the
pupils
to
create
their
own
presentations
about
the
school
meal
service.

wanted
them
to
challenge
us
and
let
us
know
what
we
could
change
for
the
better
and
what
we
could
do
to
provide
the
kind
of
service
they
wanted
to
see.
The
winning
team
won
the
Provost
cup,
as
well
as
a
chance
to
help
work
up
that
ideas
for
their
catering
hall.
We
were
staggered
by
the
response.
The
peoples
will
take
part
from
schools
across
our
region
were
fantastic.
The
winning
team
was
from
Sterling
high,
but
we
had
great
ideas
from
every
team
I
like.

When
I
saw
it
this
fun
and
it's
similar
to
the
front
of
these
Nando's,
so
I
mean
that
kind
of
links
off
and
if
people
like
going
there,
you
know
like.
Oh,
this
is
gonna,
be
really
good
as
well.
The
main
thing
that
everyone
wanted
was
like
to
see
a
change
in
prices
and
a
change
in
like
what
they
offer
in
the
canteen,
because
by
every
year
the
people
can
still
come
around
and
say
why
you
want
changed
and
they
were
the
same
two
things
and
and
then
now
we
actually
came
around
and
really
like.

on

desk
and
I

looks
really
exciting.
This
is
what
we
do.
Anyway.
We
put
pools
and
teams.
We
give
them
challenges,
we
give
them
briefs
and
deadlines,
but
this
is
real.
This
could
have
an
impact,
so
we're
really
excited
about
taking
part.
It
was
a
competition
as
well,
so
we
like
to
compete
against
other
schools
and
and
the
Keeton
service
is
something
that
the
school
it
works
closely
with.
So
it
was
a
good
opportunity
to
work
with
them.

More
qualifications
are
really
important
for
young
people,
but
actually
that's
not
enough
anymore.
They
need
to
sail
themselves
and
the
fact
that
they
can
leave
us
for
a
positive
destination
and
say
we
had
this
experience
in
school
and
look
at
the
impact
that
that's
had
that's
a
fantastic
thing
for
them
to
talk
about
at
a
college
or
university
or
job
interview.
So
the
fact
that
it's
real
is
going
to
make
a
big
difference
to
their
later
and.

we
would
like
to
introduce
you
to
fresco
our
new
sub
brand
that
has
been
rolled
out
across
our
school
estate.
Fresco
is
all
about
great
tasting
food
from
around
the
world.
Our
pupil
team
wanted
to
highlight
Mexican,
Italian
and
American
cuisine,
so
fresco
became
fresco,
Mexican
or
rescue
italiano
and
fresco
americano,
but
fresco
is
all
about
great
recipes
from
across
the
globe,
so
it
will
also
highlight
Indian
and
Chinese
food.
In
fact,
fresco
food
will
be
at
the
center
of
all
our
themed
days.

Did
this
project
because
we
recognize
that
our
young
people
are
the
key
to
helping
us
and
we
see
the
catering
service
in
our
high
schools.
We've
been
providing
the
same
service
for
a
number
of
years
and
we
really
wanted
to
refresh
the
brand
and
get
their
ideas
about
what
based
are
things
we
could
be
doing
around
the
service
and
around
the
menu.
Many.

came
out
of
the
presentations
and
over
the
next
year,
or
so
we
will
be
implementing
some
of
the
changes
of
people's
asked
for
as
well
as
international
cuisines.
The
pupils
wanted
different
breads
frozen,
yogurt,
smoothies
and
salad
bars.
Of
course,
there
are
some
things
we
can't
sail
on
schools.
We
are
still
bound
by
the
skills,
health
promotion
and
nutrition
Scotland
Act,
which
forbids
selling
sweets,
crisps,
carbonated
drinks,
and
we
can
only
sell
fried
food
twice
a
week,
we'll
also
be
looking
at
additional
points
of
sale,
including
external
kiosks
and
vans
start.

With
the
projects,
it
was
important
that
our
young
people,
with
a
weird
of
all
of
the
legislation,
arrange
the
restrictions
and
the
nutrition
act
first
for
schools.

we
made
sure
that
we
gave
them
a
pact
with
all

the
backgrounds
about
nutritional
content
and
values
and
from
that
the
the
produced
a
fantastic
menu
range
which
complies
fully
with
the
all
of
the
legislation
that
we
have
to
comply
with.
All
the
high
schools
in
Stirling
Castle
will
be
introducing
online
payments
through
PMP
and
by
me
2016.
