C
C
Fortunately,
for
one
of
us
and
we're
still
debating
the
winter
55
years
later,
a
teacher
came
out
and
broke
it
up
and
he
threatened
to
tell
our
parents
and
the
principal
who
was
my
uncle
at
the
time.
He
said
he
wouldn't.
If
we
would
shake
hands
and
become
friends,
and
we
did,
we
started
playing
chess
together.
Ping
pong
and
basketball
I
had
to
play
against
him,
who
was
six
foot
two,
his
twin
brother,
six
foot,
seven
and
another
brother
at
six
foot
four,
so
I
learned
how
to
shoot
outside
very
quickly.
C
His
brother
went
on
to
play.
I
got
a
full
ride
at
Samford
University
in
Alabama,
Jerry
was
pastor
of
Morley.
Baptist
Church
for
three
years
has
been
on
many
mission
trips
abroad
and
now
has
a
weekly
broadcast
on
our
wlaf
and
LaFollette
delivering
Bible
stories
for
the
past
20
years.
Jerry
has
a
BS
in
chemistry
and
a
BS
in
math
from
LMU
and
Harrogate
and
a
master's
degree
from
both
Tennessee
Tech
and
UT
and
Knoxville.
C
D
You
Dennis,
yes,
we've
always
been
good
friends,
it
is
great
to
have
friends,
are
a
blessing
for
God,
hey
Ben,
amen,
I
want
to
tell
you
those
degrees,
I
thought.
I
was
a
big
shot
in
40
years,
I
worked
at
Oak
Ridge
National
Laboratory.
When
I
got
down
there,
everybody
on
the
library
in
the
laboratory
had
a
PhD.
In
physics
the
janitors
have
phds
in
physics,
I
was
nothing.
They
weren't
impressed.
D
Guys.
I've
got
a
little
bit
of
criticism.
No
offense
I
hate
to
start
out
with
criticism,
but
my
watch
my
time's
a
little
bit
different
yours
I've
got
six
o'clock.
You
just
started
your
work
session
at
six
o'clock.
Bankers
have
more
hours
than
you
got.
How
do
you
get
anything
done
now?
Bl
gave
me
a
great
tour
today,
and
he
said
you
were
part-time
and
I
said
amen.
D
D
You
started
working
this
late
in
the
day,
but
I'm
kidding
I'm
kidding.
Oh,
but
I
do
appreciate
you.
You
are
for
the
workers
state
of
Tennessee
and
my
prayer
is
that
you'll
be
for
all
tennesseans
and
I
really
believe
you
are
I,
believe
you
have
Compassionate
Heart,
because
not
all
tennesseans
or
blessed
with
a
good
job,
not
all
tennesseans
had
a
good
education.
D
D
D
The
Holy
Spirit
came
the
back
row
of
the
Baptist
Church,
where
our
playing
Christian-
and
he
said
you
fool
these
folks,
but
you
haven't
fooled
me
today's
the
day
of
salvation
and
I
really
took
it
to
me
the
day's.
The
last
day.
It's
your
chance
of
last
day
that
you
can
be
saved
the
last
day
because
you've
sinned
enough
for
eight
lifetimes
I've,
actually
thought
I
had
sinned
away
the
day
of
Grace,
but
that's
what
the
definition
of
Grace
is.
D
D
D
D
D
E
B
G
Thank
you,
Mr
Speaker
last
Thursday,
at
the
privilege
of
going
to
the
Nashville
Predators
game
and
watched
him
beat
the
New
Jersey
Devils
and
in
the
middle
of
that
great
contest,
all
of
a
sudden
I'll
look
up
at
the
video
board
and
I
see
a
picture
of
our
very
own
Sam
Whitson
and
20
000
people
Rose
to
honor
the
service
of
Colonel,
Sam
Whitson
to
our
for
our
nation
and
Ladies
and
Gentlemen,
let's
honor
him
tonight.
Thank
you
very
much.
H
F
Doing
resolution
six
by
chairman
Terry
and
others,
a
resolution
honor
and
congratulate
the
Oakland
High
School
football
team,
tws
double
a
division,
one
class,
six,
a
state
champions,
whereas
the
members
of
this
journal
simulator,
are
pleased
especially
honor,
and
commend
those
successful
high
school
teams
that,
through
their
magnificent,
exploits
bring
honor
to
Tennessee
and
serve
as
exceptional
ambassadors.
For
this
state
and
where's,
the
Oakland
High
School
Patriots
football
team
achieved
an
extraordinary
level
of
success
during
the
2022
season.
Winning
the
coveted
tws
double
a
division,
one
class
6A
State
football
championship
and
where's.
F
The
dedication
determination,
work,
ethic
and
talent
of
this
group
of
young
men
not
only
made
possible
at
championship
football
season,
but
also
Shirley,
bode
well
for
their
success
in
every
few
future
Endeavor
and
whereas
we
found
it
appropriate
to
acknowledge
and
applaud
the
Patriots
football
players
of
Oakland
High
School
for
serving
in
exemplars
of
the
high
quality
of
the
Youth
of
Tennessee.
Now,
therefore
be
resolved
with
the
House
of
Representatives,
the
113
general
assembly
of
the
state
of
Tennessee,
the
Senate
concurring
that
we
honor
and
congratulate
the
players.
H
Terry
you
recognize
thank
you
Mr
Speaker
and,
as
someone
is
in
our
Chambers
here
that
likes
to
say
that
their
their
district
is
the
District
of
Champions.
Due
to
these
great
men
here-
and
it
wasn't
in
the
resolution,
but
District
48
is
going
to
be
recognized
as
the
District
of
back
to
back
to
back
champions.
H
So
they
are
three-time
defending
6A
football
champions
and
I.
Think
next
year
we're
going
for
the
quad
they're,
led
by
the
best
coach
in
the
business
coach,
Kevin
Creasy,
who
is
also
in
the
Tennessee
football
coaches
association,
Hall
of
Fame,
he
coaches,
a
smothering
defense
and
a
ground
and
pound
offense
and
special
teams.
I.
H
Think
in
this
in
who's
where's
Jeremiah
there
he
is
in
the
in
the
quarterfinals
I,
don't
even
think
the
seats
were
people
were
in
their
seats
yet,
and
he
takes
the
ball
off
the
kickoff
to
the
house,
so
All
Phases
they
are
they
excel
in.
H
But
in
addition
to
that,
he
teaches
these
players
to
be
good
students
and
good
men
and
so
Mr
Speaker
being
honored.
If
we
recognize
coach,
Kevin
Creasy
and
the
welfare's
comments.
I
Thank
you
very
much.
What
a
great
honor
and
privilege
representative
hasten
I,
recognize
you
from
Europe
back-to-back
days
when
you
were
a
state
champion
yourself,
good,
to
see
you
moving
and
shaking
still
to
this
day.
I
want
to
give
a
great
appreciation
to
representative
Terry
for
the
invitation
and,
of
course,
Central
Reeves.
All
of
you
please
keep
up
the
good
work,
we're
following
you
at
home.
We
hope
you
have
a
championship
season
as
well
and
come
to
a
ball
game.
Sometime
I
promise
you,
you
won't
be
disappointed.
I
These
guys,
funnest
bunch
I've,
ever
been
around
to
coach.
They
made
history
first
time
in
the
largest
classification
in
the
state
that
there
was
there
that
there
was
a
three-time
repeat,
first
time
back
to
back-to-back
championship
and
like
I
said,
hopefully
we
can
be
back
next
year
and
make
it
four.
Thank
you,
foreign.
B
J
Thank
you,
Mr
Speaker.
On
last
weekend,
my
barber
was
shot
and
killed
by
a
bullet
that
wasn't
targeted
towards
him.
His
name
was
Darwin
Hill.
He
was
29
years
old
less
than
a
month
ago.
He
just
had
a
his
second
child,
and
so
I
do
want
us
to
just
take
a
moment
to
recognize
and
his
family
Dariana
Anderson
his
fiancee
and
the
children
as
well.
K
Mr
Speaker
with
that
I
think,
is
a
great
segue
into
all
of
us.
Here.
That's
been
events
of
time.
Remember:
Tom,
Hensley
and
Tom
met
his
untimely
demise.
I.
Think
a
couple
of
days
ago
and
I
was
just
telling
my
colleague
over
here
about
how
I
met
him.
I
was
a
college
student
watching
the
news
on
television
and
college
undergrad
and
the
story
is
so
compelling.
I
began
to
pay
attention
and
all
I
can
remember
is
they
called
the
man,
the
Golden
Goose
I'm,
going
to
figure
out?
What
is
that
not
who
it
was?
K
But
what
is
that
and
years
later
began
to
figure
out
totally
what
it
was
had
an
opportunity
to
meet
him
on
some
occasion
and
then
work
with
him
for
a
long
time
and
I
think
he
served
probably
for
about
64
years
up
here.
That's
longer
than
some
of
us
are
old
on
this
house
floor
and
he's
going
to
be
greatly
missed
because
he
taught
a
lot
taught
me.
A
lot
taught
a
lot
of
us
a
lot.
So
with
that
and
I'm
sure
all
y'all
have
stories
that
have
had
the
opportunity
to
meet
him.
L
Thank
you,
Mr
Speaker
I
rise
tonight
to
memorialize
a
good
friend
of
mine,
the
entire
National
community
in
the
Jewish
community
of
Middle
Tennessee
and
Nashville
Mr
Avi,
Poster
Mr
poster
was
always
the
first
to
offer
a
kind
word,
a
letter
of
support,
a
call
of
support
not
just
to
me,
but
all
of
our
entire
Davidson
County
delegation,
as
well
as
any
of
anyone
else.
I
know
in
this
body
or
the
Metro
Council.
L
Whoever
stood
up
for
what
he
believed
right
and
just
he
was
a
fervent
advocate
for
Education
immigration,
Refugee,
Rights,
poverty
reduction
and
prison
reform,
and
he
will
be
dearly
missed
and
so.
I
would
just
ask
you
to
join
me
of
a
moment
of
silence
to
memorialize
my
good
friend
and
a
friend
of
our
entire
Community
Mr
Avi
Poster.
B
M
M
F
B
B
N
Thank
you,
Mr
Speaker
I
would
like
to
move
to
withdraw
House
Bill
four
House
Bill
175
House
Bill
260
and
House
Bill
382
from
the
committee
and
the
house.
You've.

M
Like
I've
seen
some
of
the
bills
that
are
filed
as
anybody
else
want
to
withdraw
one
just
checking
all
right,
yeah,
no,
no,
no
Jeremy
Clemens!
You
cannot
withdraw
anybody
else's
bill.
So
with
that
Mr
Speaker
I
moved
that
the
rules
be
suspended
for
media
consideration
of
sjr
number
119.
Mr
Clark.
Please
read
the
caption.
F

M
U
Thank
you,
Mr
Speaker
members.
If
you
could
do
me
a
favor
if
any
member
after
Bill
filing
deadline,
if
you
have
filed
a
third
grade
retention
bill
that
is
in
the
form
of
a
caption,
please
let
your
lady
moody
or
myself
know
so
that
we
can
begin
to
take
and
organize
that
and
Mr
Speaker.
Could
you
recognize
chairman,
haston
and
sapicki
to
follow
up
on
this
representative.
Y
T
Z
Thank
you,
Mr
Speaker,
I,
think
all
of
us
know
that
February
is
American
Heart
month
and
so
I
just
wanted
to
remind
all
of
y'all
that
we
all
know
heart
disease
is
when
the
leading
causes
of
death
amongst
Americans
and
it's
the
number
one
cause
of
death
in
women.
So
this
Friday
February
3rd
is
national
redware
day
red
for
heart.
So
I'm
asking
all
of
my
colleagues
here.
If
you
could
please
wear
red
this
Thursday
February,
2nd
in
support
of
national
red
where
day
so.
Thank
you.
A
Thank
you,
Mr
Speaker
members,
those
of
you
who
are
a
part
of
the
house,
full
Transportation
committee,
I,
want
to
remind
you.
We
will
meet
tomorrow
morning
at
8
A.M
in
house
hearing
room
one
for
those
who
are
not
members
of
the
committee.
If
you
still
have
questions
regarding
the
proposed
Transportation
infrastructure
bill,
I
urge
you
to
stream
it
and
watch
it
live
or
come
and
join
us
in
the
committee
room.
Also
Mr
Speaker.
If
I
may,
an
invitation
for
everyone
to
join
us.
A
M
B
X
Thank
you,
Mr
Speaker
members
for
your
listening
pleasure.
I
have
an
amazing
announcement.
February
28th
mark
your
calendars.
It
is
a
wonderful
time
that
we've
been
doing
for
years.
Tennessee,
Performing,
Arts
Center,
brings
the
War
Memorial
building
and
opens
up
for
you
what
you
need
to
know
that
Auditorium
there
was
the
home
of
the
Grand
Ole
Opry,
there's
been
everybody
who
is
a
somebody
in
music
has
performed
on
that
stage
and
even
including
our
friend
David
Hulk,
now
February
28th,
we
have
the
capital
Jam.
What
is
that
for
you
freshmen?
X
If
you
have
somewhat
of
a
talent
of
playing
or
singing
We,
want
you
to
sign
up
and
be
a
part
of
the
capital
Jam
our
fearless
lead
over
here
in
the
minority
party.
She
is
a
Singing
Machine
you're,
going
to
get
to
hear
her
crooning
right
on
that
stage,
you're
going
to
get
to
hear
representative
Hawk,
there's
going
to
be
a
pure
joy
and
if
you're
a
musician,
oh
and
representative
JoJo
Motown,
wait
to
hear
him
sing.
It's
going
to
be
wonderful,
so
I
want
you
to
here's
what
you
need
to
do.
X
If
you
want
to
sing
it
or
be
a
part
of
that
or
play
I
want
you
to
go,
see
Nathan
Poss,
Nathan
Poss
is
one
of
our
lobbyists
that
lobbies
for
TPAC
Tennessee
Performing
Arts
Center,
and
he
will
make
sure
that
you
get
on
the
line.
We
will
announce
this
again,
but
I
want
anybody
who's
somewhat
of
a
musician
to
sign
up
and
be
a
part
of
entertainment.
Thank
you.
Mr
Speaker.
