The committee notes that, in the context of the Scottish Government's current document management policy, having taken detailed briefings and on information retention systems that are meeting today, that it may no longer be possible to access all of the information.

The committee notes, having taken detailed briefings on information retention systems, Attis meetings, 2d, that in the context of the Scottish Government's current document management policy, information may be no longer available if it predates the Scottish Government's instruction of 22nd March to retain. The committee welcomes confirmation from the Scottish Government that they will share the information provided as part of the judicial review.

The committee also notes that the Scottish Government uses enterprise vault career information, such as emails as held for a year before deletion. The committee is seeking further information on the Scottish Government's exchange configuration and exchange retention policy settings.

The committee also discussed the permanent secretaries letter of 2016 and not that legal expenditure over 25,000 pounds is recent is routinely published on the Scottish government website. However, the committee knows that this is not in fact the case in this instance at the date of this committee meeting and will seek clarification. Thank you. The meeting is closed.
