1. Declaration of interests: Members of the Committee will be invited to declare any relevant interests.

2. Choice of Convener: The Committee will choose a Convener.

3. Choice of Deputy Convener: The Committee will choose a Deputy Convener.

4. Decision on taking business in private: The Committee will decide whether to take item 5 in private.

5. Work programme: The Committee will consider its approach to developing its work programme.

Good morning, colleagues, and welcome to the first meeting of the European and external relations committee in session five of our Parliament I welcome everyone to the first meeting and can remain this all just to switch off our mobile phones at least put them into an order will be can't be hearing them. It says on here, I'm, the oldest member, and it falls to me to chair the first two items on the agenda. There's any one to raise a point of order to challenge sorry I would.

Been successful so you know I accepted the oldest member and agenda item, one as declaration of interests and I have no interest to declare and I want to just go around people, know ritual.

The committee I'm, a member of the George Whaley foundation, that's non-remunerated and it basically promotes the work of the artist Ross Ventress.

Part of potential interest would be my membership of the Scottish Palestine Solidarity campaign registered.

Interest to declare I sold that cleared an under item 1 when I turn number 2 the choice of convener, which is our next task. As a committee and the parliaments agreed, the only members from the Scottish National Party are eligible for nomination. As convener of this committee understand that jewel McAlpin is the party's nominee for the post. You agree to choose June McAlpine as our convener. It's agreed over in the table. I congratulate joiner, our appointment and I look forward to working with her on that role. I'll never keep this year for June.

Thank you very much Bruce for performing that task and our next task as to choose a deputy convener and the Parliament has agreed that only members of the Scottish Labour Party are eligible for the dock nomination as deputy convener and that Lewis MacDonald as the party's nominee for the post. So do we all agree that Lewis MacDonald will be deputy convener welcome, congratulations and the next item of business is to decide whether we are going to take a gent item for in private agenda item five. No Tyler Tyler.
