A
A
A
A
Yeah
I'd,
like
to
clerk's,
has
just
handed
me
motion
that
consideration
of
the
item
be
deferred
until
the
January
28
2020
meeting
of
the
Budget
Committee.
Just
a
technical
motion
on
the
property
tax.
That's
number
one
on
favor
we're
just
deferring
the
number
one
to
the
28th
meeting
opposed.
That's
carried
okay,
so
I'm
as
well
start
with
first
of
all,
I
just
want
to
I
know:
we've
acknowledged
the
incredible
effort
and
time
that
the
hundreds
of
staff
members
all
across
the
agencies
and
divisions
have
put
into
this
budget.
A
We've
just
finished
their
requests
and
all
of
their
presentation.
So
I
just
want
to
thank
everybody
all
across
the
system
for
the
work
that
they've
done
in
preparing
the
budgets.
So
right
now
we're
going
to
just
go
through
the
last
thing
we're
gonna
be
doing,
is
just
budget
briefing,
note,
requests
and
voting
on
them.
I
will
start
if
that's
okay
with
the
members
and
then
we'll
just
go
individually
to
each
counselor,
who
has
motions
I,
believe
they've
all
been
handed
out.
A
For
Children's
Service
now
I'm,
not
good.
Okay,
there
we
go
on
favor,
oppose
that's
carried
motion,
be
for
shelter,
support
and
housing
administration
I'm
not
going
to
read
all
of
them
just
to
make
sure
we
can
get
through
them
quickly.
But
if
there's
any
questions,
just
put
up
your
hand,
all
in
favor
opposed
that's
carried
motion
C
for
the
housing
Secretariat
on
favor
opposed.
That's
carried
Shona
Transit
Commission
motion
D
on
favor
opposed.
That's
carried,
look
motion
e.
A
B
A
A
A
B
A
C
Item
of
motion
you
can
get
it
on
the
screen,
much
we're
just
looking
to
get
some
answers
on
the
MLT
t
piece
we
raised
this
last
year
and
would
just
like
to
understand
what
the
impacts
and
opportunities
would
be.
Moving
forward.
That
and
looking
at
bumping
up
both
the
percentage
and
the
bands
at
both
the
three
million
dollar
mark
and
four
million
dollar
mark.
A
B
B
A
B
B
An
item
by
item
breakdown
of
the
Toronto
youth
equity
strategy,
including
this
specific
funding
allocation
breakdown
towards
the
youth
equity
strategy
in
the
2020
budget
and
for
the
breakdown
of
program,
specific
funding,
funding
investments,
a
list
of
action,
steps
from
the
July
28
2018,
immediate
steps
to
reduce
gun
violence
report
that
are
unfunded
and
a
breakdown
of
the
11
positions
that
have
been
deleted
from
STF
na
I.
Understand,
that's
already
written
and
answered
and
I
think
that's
it.
For
me,
yeah
I
pulled
the
rest
because
we
really
got
those
answers.
B
A
D
Motion
Z,
is
for
economic
development
to
give
a
breakdown
by
sector
example,
film
infection,
green
technology
of
proposed
expenditures
and
also
give
the
distribution
of
program
expenditures
related
institutions
to
the
community
councils
and
motion
D,
is
that
the
Toronto
Transit
Commission
provides
a
briefing
note
on
the
breakdown
of
the
2.9
billion
dollars
in
vehicles
by
type
and
importantly,
by
fuel
source.
So,
if
we're
gonna
be
investing
in
new
vehicles
that
have
a
long
life,
we
want
them
to
meet
with
our
Net
Zero
goals
for
2015.
B
Asked
a
couple
of
questions
of
just
just
a
question
of
seeing
a
question
of
D,
just
just
a
question
of
where
we're
going
on
on
dividing
economic
development
by
community
council
areas
cuz.
We
we've
had
this
this
motion
in
the
past.
It
always
looks
bad
because
the
core
of
economic
development
is
in
the
city's
core,
so
it
just
wondering
what
the
intent
of
it
is.
D
So
the
intent
is
to
identify
potential
gaps,
not
necessarily
this
year,
but
maybe
going
forward
so,
for
example,
some
real
issues
in
winter.
Let's
just
right
now
the
majority
are
downtown,
there's
two
in
Scarborough.
So
how
can
we
identify
where
their
gaps
to
go
forward?
I'm
not
intending
to
make
any
changes
like
on
that
basis,
but
I
just
want
to
identify
if
there,
if
we're
being
in
Scarborough,
we
say
that
you
know
we
have
these
long
commutes
downtown.
How
can
we
create
jobs
in
Scarborough?
D
E
D
So
the
information
we're
getting
on
the
27th
bringing
it
forward
is
a
bunch
of
brief
to
this
committee
right,
but
also
specifically
by
fuel
type,
because,
for
example,
if
we're
buying
in
2030
or
2035
we're
planning
to
buy
a
whole
bunch
of
diesel
buses.
That's
not
a
great
plan
when
they
have
a
life
span
beyond
2050
right.
B
B
B
A
E
F
is
parks,
forests
during
recreation
on
the
feasibility
of
advancing
the
proposed
ravine
strategy,
as
in
light
of
a
couple
of
questions
that
we
got
today
about
how
we
might
be
able
to
pull
it
off.
There's
a
second
one
here:
that's
about
the
possibility
of
donate
a
donation
matching
program
for
tree
planting
I've
been
approached
by
several
prominent
Toronto
grandparents
that
want
to
raise
money
and
have
asked
that
if
there
was
a
matching
program
at
the
city,
it
would
be
desirable
to
do
that.
E
It
posed
some
interesting
budget
problem
budget
questions
because
I
don't
think
we've
ever
done
something
like
that
before,
because
we
have
a
reserve
account.
It
actually
might
work
out.
Well
that
it's
money
we
would
have
been
spending
anyhow
in
tree-planting
just
maybe
advance
it
with
donations.
I
just
thought
a
staff
reward
trying
to
see
if
that
was
possible,
she'll,
G's
shelter
and
sport
sport
housing.
E
B
E
C
E
E
Toronto,
Police,
Services
Board
that
provide
a
budget
briefing
note
on
the
list
of
ten
neighborhoods,
including
the
expansion
in
the
neighborhood
offices
program,
in
the
rationale
for
allocating
the
allocation
of
the
forty
net
new
neighborhood
officers
across
those
ten
neighborhoods
child
sedation
services
around
this
is
from
councillor
perks.
On
preparing
a
budget
briefing
note
that
shows
how
much
funding
would
be
would
be
would
arise
from
an
across-the-board
six
point.
E
Five
percent
increase
on
month
parking
rates
that
the
general
manager,
transportation
services
provide
a
briefing
note
on
the
rationale
for
under
spending
the
city,
cyclin
capital
budget
and
pathways
to
address
this
in
2020
and
projects
that
can
be
accelerated.
That
can
accelerate
vision,
zero
implementation,
M
municipal
licensing
and
standards
that
we
are
provided
with
a
briefing
note
on
the
strategies
and
resources
associated
to
handle
the
upcoming
short-term
rental
leases
and
to
resources,
including
additional
staff
positions
that
will
provide
initiative.
E
Initial
response,
improve
initial
response
times
and
service
standards
for
noise
by
law
enforcement,
awfully
snug
enforcement,
property
standards
and
illegal
dumping.
I
just
chose
my
staff
didn't
choose
the
four
that
we
get
calls
about.
The
most
I
know
thought
it
might
be
interesting
to
see
a
higher
service
standard
about
that
or
how
we
might
achieve
it,
and
the
city
manager
provide
a
briefing
note
on
the
impact
of
provincial
policy
and
funding
changes
on
all
impacted
program
and
service
areas.
E
Service
levels
planned
service
improvements
and
costs
associated
with
the
operation
of
these
services.
So
this
is
trying
to
get
all
a
consolidate,
a
list
of
all
the
provincial
downloading
and
cuts.
Otherwise,
oh
that
the
chief
financial
officer
and
treasurer
provide
budget
briefing
notes
on
the
possible
timeline
of
implementing
implementation
of
a
Toronto
commercial
parking
levy,
including
revenue
potential
and
other
considerations,
including
possible
exclusions,
and
to
a
single
document
that
shows
all
reserve
funds
with
incoming
and
outgoing
contributions,
including
a
total
reserve
fund
contribution
in
each
direction.
