set

background
on
the
road
Authority
web
portal.
It
was
built
by
og
RA,
probably
over
20
years
ago,
as
a
member
service
for
municipalities
to
manage
their
products
and
services.
They
use
an
infrastructure
projects.

It's
a
free
service
that
we
extend
to
all
municipal
members
of
Oh
Jerry,
of
which
the
City
of
Toronto
is,
and
it
is
a
great
tool
for
your
staff
to
manage
the
products
and
services
that
they
use
and
their
construction
projects.
It
also
links
back
to
the
Terra
provincial
standards,
which
are
standards
that
most
municipalities
use
when
they
are
designing
and
bidding
or
tendering
of
infrastructure
projects.
We've
been
working
with
the
new
channel
for
a
number
of
months
now
trying
to
encourage
them
to
utilize
the
road
authority.

city

manage
their

consideration
to

listed

if
they
determine

product

an
accepted
for
use

acceptable

infrastructure

by

Works
refer

the
product

municipality
team
use,

is

particular

their

helped

essentially
their
product
lists
and
they've
been
using
it
successfully
for
over
twenty
years,
and
the
other
validation
mentioned
was
the
region
home.

City
of
Toronto

already
belong

membership

the
entire
good
roads

we're
not
paying
us

using
this
portal

established
in
98,
with
the
help

provide
services

municipalities,
to
consolidate
all
information

products

deal
with
infrastructure
and
help
municipal

list,

currently
we
have
the
City
of
Hamilton

Region

MTO

use
it

municipalities

contacted

but

a
requirement

as

Toronto
and
Ryerson
universe.

product
based,
is
there
a
similar
system
to
deal
with
standards?

instance,
there's
a
lot
of
emerging
technology
and
methodology
around
things
like
green
infrastructure

municipalities

learning

other
on
how
yet
you
build
a
road.

build
a
sidewalk,
you
build
a
ditch,
you
build
a
drainage
system
and
it
may
not
necessarily
be
magical
materials.
It's
just
the
way
that
they're
put
together
is

there

sister
system
to
this?

It

pursuant
to
requirements

collective
agreement

best
estimate
was
cast
at
the
beginning
for
the
the
amount
of
Footwear
that
would
be
consumed
and
we
found
that
more
has
been
consumed.

from
the
report
is
that
there's
a
sealing
threshold,
I'm
going
to
just
go
by
memory,

dollars
and
the
actual
cost
of
the
Footwear
I
think
was-
was
far
less
about
$60.
If
I
remember
correctly

I

wondered
if
anyone
could
give
me
some
sense
of
how
we
went
astray
what's
happening
is:
are
people
using
more
shoes
than
than
we
anticipated
or
is
there
something
else
going
on?
That
would
make
it
such
a
large
variance
so.

problem

actually

other
way

contract
was
developed
for
the
city
as
a
whole
and
using
the
lower
price
of
the
shoes,
but

collective
agreement
for
Toronto
Fire
allows

the
original
contract
was
developed
for
a
much
lower
price,
shoe
I,
don't
believe
our
demand
was
any
higher
than
what
we
expected
it's
just.
The
price
was
up
to
187
and
not
the
$60
that
was
in
the
corporate
contract.
