Hi, my name is Oz I'm, a product manager for green, plum at pivotal software and today I'm going to share with you how we are bringing cloud databases on Prem. So today, if you wanted to run a cloud database, you would have to run it on a public cloud which implies render log in.

With green, plum for kubernetes, you're, running green, plum on pivotal container service or other kubernetes providers,.

We remove that vendor walken so that you can run your data warehouse, green, plum on public clouds or you can run it Ultron.

So how do we do this? There are four main factors that enable us to bring cloud databases on Prem. The first is containers.

So we take green plum, which is a massively parallel Postgres, so open source was grass open, source green plum. We take that each Postgres instance can process terabytes of data. We can run these Postgres instances in parallel and that enables you to process petabytes of data.

Alongside that, you have machine learning, libraries, ai graph text, analytics geospatial, so you can actually run sequel and PL queries on petabytes of data using these libraries. We take all that and we put it in a container so.

Here you have the green, plum, open source green, plum, along with all the commercial components.

And we run this through our pipeline at pivotal for security for configuration for application dependencies, so you don't have to manage application dependencies. We take care of that for you and thanks to the portability of containers,.

We can release them to you, so you can run it in your own environment. The second big factor in bringing cloud databases on Prem is cover. Nettie's kubernetes is what managers and orchestrates these containers. It provides high availability and elasticity, and it is the fastest growing open-source project in history. A lot of IT organizations are standardizing on kubernetes. The third component is the operator.

We use the kubernetes operator pattern to codify the repetitive tasks of human operators, so that enables us to provide to you day, 1 and day 2 automation, whether it's upgrades patches etc, and the last one is pedals.

Multi-Cloud container service, pivotal PKS, provides ha4 kubernetes along with a number of other capabilities, and that means you can build your clouds on prom. So, with these four factors, we are bringing cloud databases on Prem. Thank you. You.
