Pinniped v0.10.0 was released on July 30, 2021. This release extends Pinniped to support logins from more scenarios, including OIDC access from SSH jump hosts and LDAP access from CI/CD jobs.

Hi, I'm here to show you a new feature: we've just released in pentapet 0.10 that lets you use browser-based identity providers even on machines without a local web browser. This is particularly useful if you use something like an ssh jump post, which is a headless linux machine with no local web browser, but you want to use a web-based identity provider like oidc.

So in the first case here I've got a local login. This is running on my laptop when I run coop ctl, we'll see that my browser opens up, I'm logged in, and I see my output that I expect now. If I run the same command of the pinpoint 0.10 on a remote ssh jump host.

I get prompted to open the browser manually when I do that, I can then copy and paste the authorization code into the remote machine and complete the same login. We hope this is useful for you. If you use ssh jump post and you want to use pendiped, let us know what you think and have a great day.
