wasmCloud / WASM Basics

WasmCloud is a CNCF sandbox project that provides a platform for building distributed WebAssembly Applications. WasmCloud apps are language agnostic and portable across platforms and clouds.

This talk is for anyone who is interested in cloud native technology, reducing cloud costs, and distributed application architectures. For folks who are completely new to WebAssembly, we will also highlight some of the key properties of Wasm and why it makes an excellent unit of compute for cloud native apps.

wasmCloud is a platform for writing portable business logic that can run anywhere from the edge to the cloud, that boasts a secure-by-default, boilerplate-free developer experience with rapid feedback loop.

WebAssembly is a powerful technology that has already emerged as a critical component in the Cloud Native ecosystem. WebAssembly is showing up in applications running on Cloud Native, embedded into applications, and with technologies such as Krustlet - it is showing up as a native orchestration target.
