Description
YUI Open Roundtables feature topics related to HTML, CSS,YUI, and front end development.
A
B
A
Have
for
viewers
online,
so
those
are
the
people
who
are
watching
via
youtube,
then
maybe
more
people
joining
me
to
hang
out
after
we
sent
it
around,
but
I
think
we're
ready
to
go
check
on
IRC
got
some
more
questions
there.
Alright!
So
let's
kick
things
off
so
welcome
to
the
team,
Julian
I'm!
So
glad
that
you
came
to
join
us,
and
maybe
if
you
tell
us
a
little
bit
about
yourself,
Shirreffs.
C
Situation
so,
first
of
all,
I
wanted
to
thank
Jenny
for
leading
the
Yui
team
for
so
many
years.
So
jenny
has
decided
to
move
on
to
a
different
role
within
yahoo
and
I
used
to
work
in
search
team
and
I
decided
to
move
it
to
move
on
to
the
work
on
platforms
and
lead
the
white
white
team.
So
quick,
a
bit
of
background
about
me.
C
Let's
see
when
I
started
yahoo
in
2006,
I
was
working
under
Thomas,
saw
the
guy
who
actually
happened
to
start
Yui
way
back
in
2005
for
those
of
you
who
have
been
around
for
a
long
time.
So
I
used
to
be
a
member
of
the
Yui
team
at
large
and
made
a
few
minor
contributions
in
2008.
I
moved
to
work
on
search
and
did
a
lot
of
work
there
with
Yui.
Obviously,
on
the
client
side.
C
First,
we
did
a
migration
from
yua
22
Yui
3
later
on,
we
were
working
on
getting
a
search
with
the
search
from
10
mega
it
to
mojito,
and
so
we
use
Yui
on
both
the
server
and
the
client.
So
I've
always
been
a
big
advocate
for
why
you?
Why
I
think
it's
a
great
javascript
framework?
It's
been
around
for
a
very
long
time
and
obviously
the
technology
landscaped.
The
landscape
has
evolved
tremendously
in
the
past
few
years,
so
we're
looking
to
earn
free
yet
ways
to
to
move
forward.
So.
A
C
So
that's
kind
of
a
minor
update
because
hopefully
nobody
will
notice
and
if
nobody
notices
anything,
then
it
means
that
we've
done
a
good
job.
So
the
Yui
website
the
way
why
library
website
is
going
to
be
moved
and
simplified
under
the
hood,
because
her
clits
taking
little
too
much
work
to
maintain
it.
So
we'll
do
this
next
quarter
and,
as
I
said,
nobody
should
notice
anything.
That's
our
goal:
hey
Jeff,
welcome.
A
Bree,
so
people
kids
talk
during
the
thing
people
are
watching
you,
the
youtube
channel.
They
don't
they're,
not
able
time
with
the
people
who
joined
me
to
hang
out.
Just
like
our
team,
okay
and
there's
also.
I
also
have
the
IRC
channel
up,
so
people
tend
to
one
come
on
come
in
from
there
any
question
something
in
the
air,
so
gently,
oh
yeah,
they
were
hatch,
was
asking
about
the
new
team
Lee,
so
Jenni's,
no
longer
thoai
yahoo,
but
yes,
she's
still
here
she's,
just
working
on
another
yeah.
C
And
she's
still
helping
with
the
transition
by
the
way,
because,
obviously,
after
so
many
years,
it's
a
lot
to
for
me
to
take
him
as
so
so
yeah
she's
still
around.
So
do
we
want
to
talk
about
some
of
the
upcoming
release
is
potentially
yeah.
You
get
that
so
one
of
the
things
that's
been
happening
for
a
little
while
for
those
who
follow
on
Yui
come
true.
Is
that
till
oh
one
of
my
our
team
members
has
been
working
on
integrating
hammer
GS
into
Yui
and
to
really
improve
event
handling
on
mobile
devices.
A
C
The
nice
thing
about
the
work
that
tiller
did
is
that
he
took
something
that
was
already
implemented
that
had
no
dependencies
or
very
few
dependencies
and
added
just
a
little
bit
of
sugar
on
top
of
it
and
integrated
into
Yui.
So
it
was
a
very
low
effort
for
us,
but
it's
a
pretty
big
payout,
so
I
think
more
and
more
we're
going
to
look
at
doing
this.
You
know
this
kind
of
thing.
If
we
can,
if
it
makes
sense.
A
D
C
Was
an
announcement
that
we
wanted
to
make
it's
not
been
has
not
been
formally
announced,
but
it's
pretty
clear
that
it's
going
to
happen
very
soon
and
there
will
be
a
an
announcement
on
the
white
weblog,
hopefully
within
the
next
few
weeks.
The
idea
is
that
we
are
planning
to
start
deprecating
the
Yui
galleries
sometime
this
summer.
So
the
way
I
gallery
has
been
around
for
a
long
time.
Correct
me
if
I'm
wrong
and
row
but
I
think
it's
been
around
since
2009
yeah,
I
think
so.
Yeah.
A
C
C
It
allowed
people
to
take
advantage
of
Yahoo
CDN
and
also
because
of
the
integration
within
the
Yui
daughter
was
very
easy
for
everybody
to
use
Yui
Jerry
modules,
so
you
know
I
think
it
was
great
at
the
time
and
over
the
years
we
had
a
lot
of
great
contributions
to
the
way
way.
Gallery
I
think
it
was
a
good.
C
What
happened
in
the
best
few
years
is
that
well,
first
of
all,
the
Yui
Jenner
is
not
nearly
as
active
as
it
used
to
be.
We
just
don't
get
that
many
contributions
or
dates
anymore,
and
the
second
thing
is
in
the
past
few
years.
As
everybody
knows,
we
had
the
emergence
of
note
nodejs
and
it
has
really
changed
the
way
we
think
about
JavaScript
right.
C
So,
for
example,
the
operation
of
the
NPM
package
managers
like
an
PMO
Bauer,
more
cently
I've,
really
changed
the
way
people
think
about
how
to
create
complete,
complex
applications
on
the
web.
So,
instead
of
using
large
frameworks,
people
nowadays
will
assemble
a
lot
of
tiny
modules,
use
Bower,
and
then
they
will
use
different,
build
tools.
A
C
We're
not
seeing
so
because
the
Yui
debtor
is
just
not
getting
a
lot
of
activity
anymore,
where
we're
thinking
about
deprecating
it
and
because,
obviously,
on
our
site,
there
is
a
cost
in
maintaining
it
and
if
it
just
doesn't
serve
much
of
a
purpose
anymore,
we
we
just
wanted
to
kind
of
start
deprecating
it
so
by
deprecating.
It
means
that
everything
that
has
been
published
already
will
still
remain
available
on
yahoo.
C
Cdn,
however,
will
turn
the
Yui
gallery
read
on
this,
so
you
will
not
be
able
to
publish
any
more
modules
and,
and
eventually
the
way
by
gallery
site
would
be
archived
and
we'll
put
it
somewhere
under
the
Yui
library
site.
So
that's
kind
of
the
high-level
plan
will
do
an
announcement,
hopefully
in
the
next
few
weeks,.
E
C
They
can
still
publish
to
the
way
why
gallery
and
will
provide
a
date
where
we'll
do
final
gallery
build
in
the
blog
article
that
will
post
soon,
we
will
provide
alternative
options
that
people
can
can
use
to
do
the
same,
but
they're.
There
are
a
lot
of
options.
The
simplest
option
is
just
put
your
code
on
github
and
use
cdma
acha
kaam.
So
that's
something
that
Ryan
created
and
then
there's
a
company
called
max
EDM,
which
provides
the
caching
that's
a
simple
low-cost.
A
A
C
Yeah,
the
gallery
was
never
meant
to
I
mean,
does
not
support
ssl
and
we
have
no
plans
of
fixing
that,
since
we've
decided
to
differ
Kate,
it
so
I
know
there's
a
lot
of
there's
a
lot
of
love
out
there
for
the
white
gallery
and
changing
things
can
be
painful,
but
I
think
it's.
The
right
thing
for
us
to
do
is
to
move
on,
so
we
can
focus
on
other
things,
and
you
know
the
way
by
gary
has
served
a
great
purpose
for
over
five
years
now,
but
it's
time
for
it
to
to.
A
Go
away
yeah,
so
basically,
what
will
happen
is
you'll
have
enough
time
to
either
push
a
final
release
out
or
to
grab
your
code
or
grab
the
metadata.
If
you
want
information
about
that
and
then
we
will
archive
the
site,
it
will
become
a
static
archive
or
time,
and
this
also
makes
means
changes
to
Yogi
as
well
as
ever.
I.
C
Don't
know
so
we'll
have
to
see,
because
when
people
let's
say
people
want
to
try
to
publish
a
module
after
we've,
deprecated
gallery
we'll
have
to
see
if
Yugi
reports
a
correct
error
message
or
not.
If
it
does,
then
there's
not
much
for
us
to
do
otherwise,
we
may
just
do
a
new
release
of
Yogi
and
with
the
publishing
removed.
C
B
Yeah
one
thing
that
I
always
just
try
to
a
stress
is
the
fact
that,
from
the
very
beginning,
one
of
the
good
things
about
the
gallery
was
the
ability
to
go
ahead
and
pull
things
from
the
gallery
without
having
to
configure
YY
to
do
so.
But
that
feature-
and
there
are
being
years
in
production
by
many
people.
It
was
never
designed
for
production
because
of
the
penalties
that
you
pay
for
trying
to
use
the
default
configuration
that
comes
with
the
library
to
get
something
from
gallery
which
we
don't
know
the
dependencies.
B
So
we
have
to
go
by
the
gallery,
then
go
and
get
the
dependencies
of
that
module,
and
so
we
continue
push
people
to
try
to
bring
the
gallery
modules
into
their
cooperation
and
have
a
more
compelling
configuration
that
it's
better.
The
preference
better
people
continue
using
gallery
directly
of
the
shell,
which
is
this
year
without
knowing
the
implications
of
that.
B
So
this
doesn't
change
that
a
scenario
of
people
will
have
to
continue
bringing
their
gallery
modules
into
the
project
having
to
have
the
configuration
to
load
those
those
gallery
module
from
CDN
or
whatever
CDN
they
they.
They
prefer
to
use,
but
it's
important
for
people
to
the
standard.
This
is
this
is
something
that
you
have
to
do.
You
want
to
take
it
game
extra
in
terms
of
performance,
it's
not
just
prototyping
pieces
and
getting
gallery
module.
Freddie.
C
There
was
one
more
thing
I
wanted
to
talk
about,
since
we're
on
the
topic
of
duplications.
I
wanted
to
remind
everyone.
We've
had
to
actually
send
the
reminder
internet
yahoo,
but
I
just
want
to
remind
everyone
that
Yui
to
has
been
deprecated
for
many
years,
and
the
Yui
2
in
3
project
is
also
duplicate
'add.
We
will
not
provide
support
for
those
old
libraries
anymore,
so
you're,
basically
on
your
own
yeah
and
the
sites
that
post
those
two
projects
are
extremely
clearly
worded
dimension
that
those
projects
are
duplicated.
C
A
While
we
had
a
scare
to
hear
I
jumped
off
wow,
that's
a
nice
connect
so
in
in
other
news
in
terms
of
things
going
out.
Why
why
Clarence
do
you
have
anything
not.
A
C
Package
manager
is
like
NPM,
do
a
pretty
good
job,
but
making
much
was
discoverable,
although
I
think
the
search
could
be
improved.
For
example,
I
was
looking
on
the
npm
JS
website.
The
other
day
and
I
was
looking
for.
I
was
looking
for
modules
in
the
test.
Category
and
I
wanted
the
ones
that
have
had
the
most
downloads
in
a
minute
past
few
days
and
I
couldn't
find
a
way
to
to
do
that.
E
A
C
A
D
A
Have
anything
else
to
cover,
so
did
you
guys
trip?
Did
you
have
anything
you
want
to
add
he's
doing
a
salad
he's
been
heads
down,
I!
Think
that's
everything
if,
if
you're
watching
this
and
you're
interested
in
coming
on
my
way
up
and
round
table
for
free
to
message
me
on
IRC
or
send
me
an
email,
we've
had
quite
a
few
awesome
guests
or
lately
and
including
Julian
today.
So
we're
going
to
continue
in
that
vein
and
if
you're
working
on
other
front-end
technology
as
well
we're
happy
to
eat
your.
C
It
cool
to
mention
that
we're
hiring
yes,
my
team
is
hiring
we're
looking
for
people
who
are
interested
in
web
technologies
and
also
mobile
technologies
like
Android
and
iOS.
Ideally,
the
perfect
candidate
would
have
a
knowledge
of
all
three
things:
web
android/ios
and
there
we
have
some
really
cool
projects.
A
Were
working
on
yeah?
Definitely
so
you
guys
to
check
it
out.
You
look
at
things
like
the
modi
on
project,
we're
working
on
and
other
things
like
that.
Do
we
usually
talk
about
modem
in
this
meeting,
or
is
it
specifically
there's
really
more
in
life
yeah?
We
talked
about
everything
that
everything
now
like,
not
just
okay.
Why?
But,
if
you
had
something
bad,
nothing.
C
E
E
E
A
Now
that
the
heavy
anstice
right
now
is
on
the
inside
working
on
it
until
documentation
and
we're
working
on
I'm
peeking
up
the
end
of
ours
helper
in
to
lure
the
dust
parental,
so
we're
looking
at
its
worst
thing
to
do
on
react,
GS,
he'll
break
and
we've
covered
int'l
before
and
on
in
many
open
around
the
table
smooth.
You
can
refer
back
to
those,
but
if
you
do
a
search
on
APN
for
row
down
you'll
find
quite
a
bit
of
the
components
they're
out
there
so
check
them
out
all
right.
