A
We
appreciate
everyone
coming
out
to
this
this
swearing-in
ceremony,
it's
important
all
there's
only
one
of
our
constitutional
officers
is
not
getting
a
two
excuse
me.
It's
not
getting
sworn
in
because
they,
their
term
extends
another
two
years,
but
the
rest
of
the
of
the
Constitutional
officers
today
will
be
sworn
in
and
after
the
here's,
what
here's?
What
will
happen?
The
the
law
says
that
the
our
County
Clerk
swears
in
the
county
clerk,
and
so
you
may
not
know
it,
but
our
secretary
of
state
is
still
our
County
Clerk.
A
This
term
ends
today
and
there's
new
and
he
will
swear
in
the
new,
the
new
Clerk
and
and
then
the
new
clerk
will
swear
in
the
two
Commissioners
myself
and
Tom,
and
then
we
will
adjourn
for
just
a
brief
moment,
because
then
we
will
adjourn
to
the
commission
to
actually
select
a
chairman
and
after
that
the
chairman
will
then
swear
in
the
balance
of
the
elected
officials.
Now
right
now,
we're
going
to
have
the
presentation
of
the
colors
and
the
elected
officials
will
be
following
in
the
the
color
guard.
A
So
give
us
just
a
moment
and
we'll
have
present
the
colors,
and
then
commissioner
Davidson
will
give
a
pledge
of
allegiance
and
new
clerk
soon
to
be
clerk.
Trent
triple
will
give
an
invocation
so
we'll
proceed
from
there.
Okay,.
B
C
We're
grateful
for
this
wonderful
state
in
which
we
live
in
and
for
this
County
and
for
the
citizens
of
Ada
County,
especially
for
their
support
and
trust
in
these
elected
officials.
We're
grateful
for
the
opportunities
that
these
officials
have
to
serve
and
we
ask
a
special
blessing
upon
them
as
they
embark
on
this
term
that
they
will
be
granted
the
wisdom
and
knowledge
and
abilities
to
best
serve
the
citizens
of
this
great
County.
A
Our
first
customer
is
Trent
triple
whoever's
going
to
introduce
Trent.
If
you
could
come
up.
D
I
Wendy
triple
would
like
to
present
Trent
triple
to
be
sworn
in
as
Ada
County
Clerk
having
been
duly
elected
and
qualified
to
take
the
oath
of
office.
C
Many
of
you
that
know
me
closely
know
that
I
would
have
never
thought
I
would
be
here
a
year
ago,
but
with
Phil
mcgrane's
setting
such
a
great
example
in
this
office
and
for
his
dedication,
I
felt
a
desire
to
continue
to
serve
and
to
support
the
employees
of
Ada
County,
which
I
dearly
love
and
the
citizens
of
Ada
County,
where
I
live
and
have
raised.
My
family
I
am
especially
grateful.
Those
that
have
supported
me
throughout
this
whole
ordeal
and
I.
C
But
I
I
keep
reassuring
myself
that
I'm,
not
a
politician.
I'm
a
public
servant
and
I
will
continue
to
serve
the
public
for
20
years.
I
was
in
the
military
and
I
woke
up
every
day,
knowing
why
I
was
doing
what
I
was
doing.
C
And
I'm
going
to
continue
to
do
that,
I'm,
going
to
continue
to
support
the
citizens
of
Ada
County
and
keep
it
a
County
free
where
we
can
thrive
and
live
our
lives
in
a
way
that
we
all
want
to
and
to
continue
to
support
all
of
the
county
functions.
I
look
forward
to
working
with
the
other
elected
officials.
C
A
I'm
going
to
limit
my
remarks
because
we
do
have
a
long
day
here,
but
I
want
to
thank
everybody
here
for
being
here.
I
know
it
was
difficult
getting
in
because
we
had
a
lot
of
jurors
that
was
scheduled
to
come
in
and
they
had
to
park
somewhere
else,
because
we
wanted
to
make
sure
everybody
here
had
a
place
to
park.
It's
been
my
distinct
honor,
the
last
two
years
to
be
on
the
Ada
County
Commission
and
to
serve
in
the
capacities
chairman.
A
A
H
I
won't
take
a
lot
of
time
either,
but
I
would
like
to
thank
everybody
here.
As
Rod
said
my
family,
especially
my
wife
and
my
family,
my
siblings,
my
niece
and
nephew.
All
of
the
people
that
have
helped
me
my
teachers,
everybody,
that's
helped
me
in
my
in
in
my
life,
become
what
I
am
I
appreciate
that
and
my
pledge
to
you
as
I
did
when
I
was
campaigning,
is
to
as
I
told
shaylee's
class
as
well.
H
That
I
will
pledge
to
We
the
People,
in
fact
that,
as
far
as
continue
the
pledge
that
we
had
to
perform
a
more
perfect
union
and
in
the
constitution
of
the
state
of
Idaho,
we
pledged
that
to
a
grateful,
God,
the
country
we
have
here,
the
state
we
have
and
in
Ada
County,
to
keep
the
county
that
we
have
I
pledge
that
to
the
people
of
Ada
County.
Thank
you,
foreign.
A
H
Chairman,
yes,
I,
move
that
we
select
Rod
W
Beck,
as
the
chairman
of
the
Ada
County
Commissioner,
is.
A
A
We
will
now
we're
in
the
balance
of
the
well
after
the
swearing
hand,
age.
I
J
J
L
A
lot
less
than
that,
thank
you,
everybody,
so
so
much
for
this.
A
year
ago,
I
mean
I
still
can't
believe.
I
did
this.
Let
me
put
it
that
way.
Very
proud
and
honored
I've
met
with
a
lot
of
the
staff,
and
it's
just
wonderful,
wonderful
people
to
work
with
and
again.
Thank
you
to
all
my
friends
and
family
who
supported
me
during
this
and
I'm
going
to
do
the
best
that
I
possibly
can.
Thank
you
so
much
foreign.
M
M
So
first
I
probably
should
thank
my
wife
and
if
anybody
wants
to
buy
her
flowers
for
the
next
180
days
and
put
my
name
on
the
card,
I'd
really
appreciate
that.
But
thank
you
to
all
of
you.
M
I
see
so
many
people
out
here
that
have
supported
me
but,
more
importantly,
you've
supported
the
office
of
the
sheriff
and
Ada
County
Sheriff's
Office
in
general
to
help
us
serve
you
and
provide
fantastic,
fantastic
service
to
our
community
and
I'd,
encourage
you
to
keep
showing
that
support
as
we
undergo
some
of
the
dauntingest
tasks
here
in
our
County,
and
we
deal
with
growth
and
all
kinds
of
other
issues
that
come
our
way.
We
appreciate
you
at
the
Ada
County
Sheriff's
Office
and
the
support
that
you
show
us.
Thank
you.
P
Thank
you,
Mr
chairman.
It
is
such
an
honor
and
privilege
to
serve
as
Ada
County
Treasurer
and
start
by
congratulating
my
fellow
elected
officials
on
taking
the
oath
of
office
today,
I
pledge
to
you
that
I
will
work
with
you
in
a
manner
that
is
respectful
and
collaborative
in
conducting
The
public's
business.
I
also
want
to
thank
my
family,
my
friends,
my
mentors,
so
many
of
you
are
here
today
thank
you
for
supporting
me
in
public
service
and
to
everyone
who
supported
me
in
your
confidence
in
electing
me
as
County
Treasurer.
P
Finally,
I
want
to
thank
all
of
the
employees
of
Ada
County,
especially
those
in
the
treasurer's
office,
who
have
joined
me
as
stewards
of
public
funds.
Together,
we
have
consistently
demonstrated
our
commitment
to
fiscal
responsibility,
and
we
will
continue
to
do
so.
We
do
this
thanks
to
your
dedication,
hard
work
and
our
shared
vision
of
responsibility
to
the
taxpayer.
So,
thank
you
in
conclusion.
P
A
Here
are
a
few
words
from
the
two
officials
who
are
already
sworn
in
because
they
were
sworn
in
two
years
ago
for
a
four-year
term.
Well,
here
first
from
commissioner
Davidson
and
then
from
prosecutor,
Jan
Bennett.
B
Thank
you,
everyone
and
it's
great
to
see
so
many
people
out
we've
come
such
a
long
way
in
two
years.
The
last
ceremony
we
maybe
had
15
chairs
in
here
for
reasons
that
you
all
know-
and
it's
so
great
to
see
everyone's
face
here
and
know
that
things
are
back
to
normal
in
Ada
County
and
back
to
normal
in
the
country
I'm
honored,
to
serve
with
these
elected
officials.
I
think
we
have
a
great
team
going
forward.
B
Our
job
is
to
take
care
of
our
employees
of
Ada
County,
who
make
this
government
run
and
Our
obligation
to
the
taxpayers
is
to
protect
their
constitutional
rights
and
I
look
forward
with
working
with
our
chairman,
Rod
back
our
new
commissioner
Tom
Daley
and
the
rest
of
the
elected
officials
to
carry
out
our
duties.
Thank
you,
foreign.
Q
Thank
you,
Mr
chairman,
it's
an
honor
and
a
pleasure
to
welcome
and
congratulate
the
newly
elected
officials.
I
look
forward
to
working
with
all
of
you.
What
we
do
here
is
so
important
to
the
community
and
I.
Take
that
job
very
seriously.
Public
service
is
I,
think
the
highest
calling
that
you
can
have
and
I
look
forward
to
working
with
all
the
elected
officials.
I
know
that
you
all
have
service
in
your
hearts
and
when
you
have
service
in
your
hearts,
you
do
the
right
thing.
So
thank
you.
A
I
look
forward
to
working
with
each
and
every
one
of
them
and
I'm
glad
and
their
their
service
to
the
to
the
community
and
I
just
want
to
say
this.
We
can
disagree
without
being
disagreeable.
That's
my
Mantra
and
that's
what
I
expect
out
of
everyone.
Thank
you
very
much
for
being
here
and
we
will
take
a
few
pictures
and
mingle
around
there's
some
goodies
back
there
if
you'd
like
but
anyway.
Thank
you
a
lot.
Thank
you.
