F
Krauss,
yes,
thank
you,
Madame
President
members
of
the
board
good
evening.
Everyone
with
us,
it's
so
nice
to
have
a
full
house
this
evening
and
we're
excited
this
evening
to
recognize
our
staff
members
who
have
been
with
us
for
10
years
and
so
Dr,
DW
and
I
are
going
to
step
out
to
the
podium
and
we
are
going
to
recognize
all
of
our
wonderful
employees
that
have
been
with
us.
So
with
that
dris
on.
If
you'll
come
out
to
the
podium
with.
F
F
So
I'm
not
going
to
read
all
this
speech
tonight
to
you
all
and
for
you,
I
I'd,
rather
speak
from
the
heart
and
and
let
you
know
that
on
behalf
of
our
Board
of
Trustees,
who
will
show
their
appreciation
here
in
a
few
minutes
for
all
of
you
as
well
in
our
cabinet
executive
team,
Dr
daison
myself,
all
of
our
management
team
in
the
district,
some
of
you
that
have
been
here
for
10
years
are
managers
as
well,
but
we
we
truly
appreciate
the
hard
work
that
you
do
on
a
daily
basis.
F
It's
it
can't
be
done
without
any
one
of
you,
no
matter
what
your
job
classification
is,
no
matter.
What
site
you
work
at
what
you
do.
It
does
not
go
unnoticed.
F
I
can
tell
you
that
the
students
are
the
ones
that
truly
benefit
from
whatever
you
do
at
the
end
of
every
day,
whether
you're
a
teacher
in
the
classroom,
whether
you're
classified
member
out
there
in
the
classroom
or
out
there
in
our
maintenance
team
or
custodian
or
food
service
worker,
whatever
your
classification
as
a
secretary
there's
so
many
classifications
out
there,
but
I
will
let
you
know
that
it
truly
is
an
honor
to
be
in
a
district
where
we
are
a
family
where
all
of
us
can
come
together
and
recognize
the
hard
work
that
you've
done
in
dedication
over
the
last
10
years.
F
One
day,
I
hope
to
get
a
10-year
pin
I'm
jealous
because
I
I
don't
have
a
10-year
pin
but
one
day,
I
hope
I'll
have
a
10year
pin
it's
exciting.
Dr,
Wise
and
I
have
been
talking
about
it
all
day
today
how
exciting
it
is
to
have
you
all
here
this
evening
and
those
of
you
that
couldn't
be
here
this
evening.
We
still
recognize
you.
We
still
call
your
name
and
appreciate
your
work
as
well.
I
know
that
sometimes
families
are
not
able
to
make
it.
F
So
we
will
still
recognize
you
with.
We
have
pins,
we'll
be
given
out
and
certificates
this
evening
and
I'd
like
to
call
board
president
love
French
up
here
to
assist
us
as
well
and
then
don't
leave,
because
at
the
end
we
will
be
doing
a
group
photo
up
here
with
everybody.
So
please
stick
around
and
again
we're
going
to
start
and
we're
excited
and
so
Dr
DWI
on
I'm
going
to
turn
over
the
mic
to
you
so
that
you
can
start
calling
them.

F
Thank
you,
madam
president,
members
of
the
board
members
of
the
community
that
are
here
with
us
in
person
and
on
Zoom
I'm,
going
going
to
start
down
in
the
end
with
Dr
daison
Who
has
been
doing
a
great
job
with
academic
services,
but
she's
also
been
again
pinch
hitting
for
certificated
HR,
and
so
this
evening
she
will
be
giving
us
an
update
on.
F
H
All
right
good
evening,
president
Le
French
Board
of
Trustees
superintendent,
Mr
Krauss
and
our
aesd
staff
families
and
Community
I'm
excited
to
share
some
important
updates
on
behalf
of
academic
Services
team
and
our
certificated
Human
Resources
team.
So
first
off
September
is
attendance
awareness
month.
So
please
make
sure
we
are
coming
to
school
every
day,
it's
so
essential
to
our
children's
success.
We
do
have
weekly
parents
Square
messages
and
remind
ERS
for
our
students
and
families
about
the
importance
of
attending
school
and
those
are
being
distributed
actually
well
beyond
September.
H
All
year
long
we
concluded
our
Williams
walkthroughs
and
all
campuses
I'm
happy
to
report
have
passed
their
annual
inspection
from
the
county
that
observes
facilities
and
instructional
materials.
So
tonight
we
bring
our
yearly
materials
and
sufficiency
notice
for
approval
and
I
want
to
give
a
big
thank
you
to
our
m&o
team,
Brandon
Richard,
our
school
librarians
Wendy,
Mary
admin,
Carol
Rebecca
bosy
for
the
behindth
scenes
work
that
it
takes
to
make
those
happen
and
successful.
H
We
do
have
CDE
visiting
three
of
our
early
literacy
schools
tomorrow
and
Thursday,
so
El
Mirage,
Adelanto,
Elementary
and
Westside
Park.
We're
going
to
be
visiting
classes
and
the
our
CDE
team
will
be
able
to
hear
firsthand
and
see
firsthand
the
progress
on
their
early
literacy
plans
and
what
they've
been
working
on.
So
we
look
forward
to
sharing
the
results
of
that
visit
at
the
next
board
meeting.
Our
first
parent
meetings
are
taking
place.
Next
week
we
have
daac
meeting
on
September
21st
here
in
the
boardroom.
Those
are
also
available.
H
Virtually
we
also
have
Dak
on
the
same
day.
That's
our
district
advisory,
Council
and
th.
That
will
be
a
virtual
meeting.
On
the
same
day
in
the
evening,
we
will
send
out
flyers
and
links
to
attend
those.
Our
schools
have
now
attended
the
undercover
anti-bullying
training
and
will
begin
implementation
on
every
school
campus.
That's
a
way
to
help
us
to
combat
bullying.
School
sites
have
begun,
PBS
training
for
the
2324
school
year
and
those
are
differentiated
by
each
School
site
needs.
H
So,
speaking
of
PBIS,
we
want
to
say
congratulations
to
10
of
our
schools
who
will
be
receiving
the
PBIS
recognition
award
for
bronze.
We
have
Adelanto
Elementary,
George
and
Gus
Franklin
for
silver.
We
have
bradock
and
Ted
Vic
gold.
We
have
Eagle
Ranch
and
for
platinum,
the
highest
honor.
We
have
Melva
Davis,
Morgan,
Kincade,
West,
Creek
and
Westside.
H
H
This
grant
covers
our
summer
school
programs
and
professional
development
to
strengthen
academic
outcomes
for
our
students.
So
we're
excited
about
that
and
we're
currently
applying
for
a
bipartisan
safety,
safer,
Community,
stronger
connections,
Grant
that
could
bring
well
over8
million
to
create
wellness,
centers
and
increase
social
emotional
support
at
our
school
sites
for
students.
So
we're
going
to
keep
you
posted
on
on
that.
I
would
like
to
really
thank
Dr
Ooa
and
our
academic
Services
team,
Rebecca
Flory
for
their
work
in
helping
us
to
get
that
in.
We
submitted
that
today.
H
So
we'll
keep
you
posted.
We're
excited
some
updates
for
human
resources,
certificated
Human
Resources,
so
we've
screened
and
interviewed
candidates
for
open
management
positions.
We
do
have
some
this
evening.
We
are
ensuring
that
potential
Cadet
Corp
instructor
has
all
the
necessary
resources
and
support.
So
we
have
Cadet
Corp.
We
will
be
starting
at
our
mes
salinda
middle
school
and
Columbia
Middle
School
this
year.
So
we're
excited
about
that
and
we're
excited
this
evening
that
we
were
able
to
celebrate
the
10e
milestone
for
certificate.
H
Employees
I
just
want
to
thank
our
HR
staff
for
the
certificates,
the
pins
and
also
contacting
each
and
every
single
person
so
that
they
were
here
this
evening,
and
that
concludes
all
of
the
updates
for
academic
services
and
certific
certificated.
F
Hr,
thank
you
Dr
dson,
and
few
quick
updates
from
from
myself.
You
know,
I
I,
truly
appreciate
the
work
that
went
into
earning
those
designations
for
our
PBIS
schools,
10
out
of
14.
F
Our
goal
is
next
year
to
have
14
out
of
14,
which
we
believe
is
very
doable
and
we're
excited
to
be
able
to
really
show
our
students
what
it's
like
to
be
positive
in
the
school
positive
outside
of
school
and
create
those
behaviors
that
that
not
only
are
good
for
now,
but
it's
good
for
life,
and
so
it
really
makes
an
impact
now
as
they
move
forward
throughout
their
lives
and
makes
a
positive
impact
and
also
helps
us
cultivate
creative
kindness,
because
that's
one
of
the
things
we're
focusing
on
this
year
is
to
to
be
more
kind
to
each
other.
F
And
so
I
really
appreciate
the
fact
that
all
of
our
principles,
all
of
our
site
leaders,
our
classified
certificated
staff
at
every
site,
is
really
striving
to
and
Excel
in
in
positive
behavior
for
our
students,
and
so
we're
excited
about
that.
I
did
have
the
privilege
to
attend
the
atlanto
Elementary
School
9911
ceremony
every
year.
This
was
the
10th
anniversary
this
year.
I
want
to
thank
principal
Rizzo
for
all
of
the
hard
work
and
dedication
that
he
and
his
staff
do
for
this
ceremony.
F
It's
a
really
great
ceremony
and
one
of
the
highlights
this
year.
I
don't
know
where
they
got
them,
but
we
got
to
find
out
they
at
the
very
end.
The
one
class
released
butterflies
and
they
came
in
like
a
little
white
box,
which
was
really
neat.
Cuz
I
had
never
seen
that
before,
and
so
all
the
students
at
the
same
time
opened
up
this
little
box
and
they
look
like
monarch,
butterflies.
F
They
were
just
flying
all
around,
so
it
was
really
nice
to
see
students
engaged
in
that
kind
of
you
know
memorial
service.
But
again
we
had
firefighters
out
there,
former
military
people,
Sheriff's
Department,
other
people,
other
dignitaries
that
had
come
out
to
support
the
ceremony
was
the
10th
anniversary
and
happened
to
be
on
9
91
this
year.
So
it
was
a
great
exercise
that
we
did
to.
F
We've
been
supporting
our
our
sites
with
education
on
anti-bullying,
but
we
also
are
looking
to
help
our
parents
understand
how
they
can
help
their
students
with
this
situations
that
they
may
encounter
at
school,
because
one
of
the
things
that
we
hear
from
parents
all
the
time
is
that
they
don't
know
how
to
help
their
children
if
they're
being
bullied
or
if
they
potentially
are
the
bully.
F
So
we
really
are
looking
at
how
we
can
educate
our
parents
in
that
and
support
them
in
the
work
that
they
do
outside
of
the
school
to
work
with
our
students
to
make
sure
that
we
have
a
positive
culture
at
all
of
our
school
sites.
We
have
started
negotiations
with
our
classified
Association
and
our
certificate
Association,
so
we
look
forward
to
a
very
Progressive
and
productive
year
this
year
on
negotiations.
We're
excited
about
that.
It
started
this
last
week.
F
Also
I
want
to
encourage
people
to
volunteer
you'll
see
this
evening,
as
you
do
on
most
board
agendas.
We
do
have
a
list
of
volunteers
and
we
are
excited
to
be
able
to
bring
them
into
our
district,
because
every
adult
that
is
on
our
campus,
that's
able
to
get
cleared
through
our
HR
department
can
make
a
positive
impact
in
our
students
lives
just
by
walking
around
just
by
talking
to
them
at
lunchtime
just
by
helping
out
in
the
classroom.
F
We
really
need
the
volunteers
for
like
chaperons
on
field
trips
and
other
events
as
well.
That
study
trips
that
the
school
sites
do
we
many
activities
throughout
the
year,
but
this
gives
the
parents
an
opportunity
to
give
back
to
these
School
sites
where
their
children
are
attending.
So
I
always
encourage
you
to
do
that
and
then
finally,
I
want
to
thank
my
executive
assistant
down
there
on
the
end
of
the
dasis
zena
La
couldn't
do
what
I
do
without
her.
F
This
is
her
10year
recognition
as
well
as
many
of
you
out
there,
but
I
had
to
give
a
shout
out
to
her
because
of
all
the
hard
work
that
she
does
and
all
of
the
many
hours
that
she
puts
in
and
I
not
only
want
to
want
to
thank
her,
but
I
want
to
thank
her
husband,
Michael,
because
I
I
think
that
you
know
I
appreciate
all
support
that
he
gives
to
her
as
well
on
a
daily
basis,
and
so
those
beautiful
roses
down
there
are
from
him
I'm
giving
a
shout
out
to
him,
because
you
know
he.
F
He
really
does
a
great
job
supporting
her
as
well,
but
thank
you
Xenia
for
all
of
the
work
that
you
do
down
there
and
all
of
our
all
of
our
employees
that
reached
that
10
year,
Milestone
and
with
that
Madam
president.
That
concludes
our
comments.
This.
I
F
Yes,
thank
you.
Madame
President
I'd
like
to
call
Dr
DWI
on
and
Dr
Ooa
up.
They
will
be
giving
us
a
a
brief
presentation
on
our
single
plan
for
student
achievements
this
evening
for
our
school
sites.
We
do
have
timelines
to
meet
in
order
to
get
these
done
for
the
state
and
the
county,
but
in
the
future
we
will
have
the
principles
come
up
and
they
will
be
not
not
this
evening,
but
they
will
be
coming
up
presenting
on
their
individual
plans
as
well
in
the
future.
F
But
this
evening
Dr,
dwon
and
Dr
oo
will
be
getting
set
up
here.
Mr
Sona,
if
you'll
bring
up
their
presentation,
so
we're
excited
to
showcase
what
the
plans
are.
What
the
goals
are,
what
the
funding
sources
are
this
evening
again,
we'll
give
a
brief
presentation
on
that.
So
with
that
Dr
dson
I'm,
going
to
turn
it
over
to.
H
You
all
right
good
evening
board
president
love
French
Board
of
Trustees
superintendent,
Krauss
and
aesd
staff,
families
and
Community
I
am
Dr
dwon
I'm,
the
proud
assistant,
superintendent
of
academic
services
and
co-presenting.
This
evening
is
Dr
Diana
Ooa,
our
director
of
state
and
federal
programs.
We
are
proud
to
present
our
school
plans
for
student
achievement
for
each
of
our
wonderful
schools
for
your
convenience.
We
have
provided
two
formats
of
information
that
will
present
a
transparent,
repres
presentation
of
the
Equitable
Services.
We
are
currently
hosting
at
each
of
our.
H
Schools,
so
our
objective
this
evening
is
to
provide
you
an
overview
of
our
systematic
approach,
When
developing
services
for
our
students.
This
process
unfolded
with
our
administrators.
Throughout
the
previous
school
year.
We
took
an
mtss
approach
of
sorts
of
delivery
for
the
sipsa
development
at
our
training,
so
we
provided
a
site
leadership
meeting
time
we
provided
small
group
workshops
and
even
onetoone
support
sessions.
This
delivery
has
developed
comprehensive
plans
that
will
support
high
expectations,
strategic
planning
and
the
delivery
and
monitoring
cycle
to
assess
our
future.
I
Success
in
developing
our
school
plan
for
student
achievement,
I'm
reminded
of
the
federal
compliance
requirements
supported
by
the
creation
of
these
documents.
Federal
compliance
requires
an
alignment
to
our
local
control,
accountability
plan,
Equitable
Services
for
our
student
groups
and
identification
of
resources
to
support
each
School
goal.
It
is
imperative
that
our
school
plans
are
reviewed,
certified
and
received
advanced
notice
or
advice
from
various
stakeholders.
Our
primary
emphasis
has
been
a
Cooperative
effort
to
align
our
district
goals
with
that
of
each
of
our
schools.
I
It
is
imperative
when
setting
goals,
that
there
is
a
prioritization
throughout
our
school
district
collectively
we
will
see
District
improvements
for
all
students.
We
celebrated
the
progress
made
on
the
California
dashboard
for
2022
and
move
towards
generating
strategic
goals
with
high
expectations.
Today
we
ask
our
board
to
review
and
approve
the
plans
before.
H
You
so
typically
our
students
in
grades,
three
through
8
and
11,
and
we're
us
being
an
Elementary
District
it'll,
be
our
students
in
grades
3
through
eight
take
the
yearly
assessment,
our
English
language,
arts
and
math.
This
is
where
most
of
our
measurables
goals
come
from.
However,
there
are
other
measures
that
measure
me
things
like
your
progress
as
it
relates
to
social,
emotional
learning
and
things
like
that.
H
But
typically
our
hard
goals
come
from
our
state
testing,
so
we
want
to
First
make
sure
that
we
know
that
the
first
level
of
that
is
good,
solid,
first
teaching
making
sure
our
students
have
a
strong
understanding
of
the
standards
in
which
they
are
being
assessed.
So,
as
a
district,
we
made
changes
to
the
expectations
that
schools
had
for
their
this
year.
So
first
we
established
we
needed
to
establish
that
we
always
begin
with
the
lcap
and
that
each
School
collectively
has
to
have
goals
that
are
aligned
to
the
lcap.
H
If
we're
going
to
make
progress
in
our
lcap,
which
we
say
is
our
as
our
in
essence,
our
district
plan
so
you'll
see
that
each
sypsa
is
aligned
to
our
district
lcap.
In
addition,
we
made
sure
that
we
added
each
school
now
has
a
total
of
six
goals
that
they
were
required
to
put
into
their
plan.
So
we
believe
that
this
is
representative
in
this
plan
is
comprehensive
for
every
single
student
that
we
will
be
addressing
throughout
the
year
in
monitoring.
H
So
we
they
each
school,
has
a
goal
in
English
language,
arts,
math,
our
English
Learners,
special
education,
our
culture
and
climate,
our
culture
and
climate
actually
addresses
multip
groups
such
as
our
africanamerican
students,
IT,
addresses
discipline,
student
engagement
and
also
attendance
as
well.
So,
additionally,
there
is
a
parent
and
Community
engagement
goal
in
every
single
School
plan.
So
all
six
of
those
plan
goals
are
represented
in
the.
I
Met
as
we
met
with
our
principles,
we
began
our
analysis
of
data
to
bring
about
improvements
of
Service
District
school
principls,
school
leadership
and
our
community
members
were
presented
data
to
describe
and
interpret
the
results
and
discuss
next
steps.
This
collaboration
fostered
a
strategic
design
to
generate
their
plans.
Each
school
was
asked
to
plan
improvements,
goals,
strategies
and
proposed
expenditures
using
their
snc
Title
One
and
CSI
resources,
as
directed
by
the
California
Department
of
Education.
I
Each
School
receiving
categorical
funding
are
asked
to
develop
an
aligned
School
plan
to
the
district's
alap,
allocating
at
least
1%
of
their
Title
One
resources
to
parent
engagement.
During
this
cycle
of
inquiry,
our
individuals
schools
analyzed
planned
their
sypsa,
their
acting
on
their
sypsa
currently
and
making
Reflections
as
we
go.
I
I
Requirements
collectively,
we
present
to
you
a
transparent
effort
to
create
strategic
goals
addressing
the
needs
of
all
of
our
students.
Here
you
will
see
the
executive
summary
outlining
the
goals
and
amount
of
resources
to
support
each
goal
on
the
right.
We
visually
prepared
a
glance
into
the
goals,
strategies
and
proposed
expenditures
which
outline
the
alcap
goal
goal.
One
English
language,
arts
identified
need
and
annual
measurable.
H
Outcomes
so
to
close,
we
wanted
to
take
a
closer
look
at
what
what
the
executive
summary
is
before
you.
So
this
slide
represents
the
entire
sypsa
kind
of
just
put
on
a
onepage
document,
and
you
have
one
for
each
of
the
14
Schools.
So
what
do
schools
do
to
attain?
These
goals
are
specifically
listed
in
the
school
sypsa
document,
but
things
like
professional
development
data
analysis
intervention.
All
of
those
things
go
into
play
when
you're
writing
out
your
sypsa.
H
It's
a
detailed
map
and
a
detailed
plan
as
to
how
you
intend
to
increase
student
achievement.
So,
for
example,
you
have
the
Westside
Park
example
in
front
of
you.
You
will
find
the
budget
aligned
at
the
top
and
the
goals
listed
down
the
leftand
side
with
the
dollars
allotted
to
each
goal
on
the
right
within
each
goal.
School
set
a
percentage
or
a
number
of
points
in
which
they
expect
to
grow
based
on
the
identified
steps.
H
So
this
can
be
when
you
identify
points.
It's
really
that
every
single
student
belongs
to
sometimes
multiple
bands
when
you're
calculating
student
achievement,
so
the
way
that
the
plans
were
written
are
rather
comprehensive
and
we
wanted
to
make
sure
with
six
goals
that
you're
really
addressing
the
needs
of
every
single
student,
because
it
takes
every
single
student
to
grow
in
order
to
make
those
instrumental
gr
gains
schoolwide.
H
So
what
you
see
in
front
of
you
is
just
an
example,
and
so
we
want
to
make
sure
that
all
students
are
working
toward
the
meat
or
exceeds
so
meat
is
the
standard
and
then
the
exceeding
going
far
beyond
that.
So
right
now,
majority
of
our
students
are
below
the
standard.
So
that
is
what
we're
reaching
for.
So
we
want
to
make
sure
that,
according
to
research,
positive
change
occurs
in
3
to
5e
Cycles,
so
these
will
be
monitored,
progress
monitoring.
H
We
have
a
new
assessment
system
that
we're
getting
ready
to
put
in
place
and
as
a
district,
we're
collectively
working
to
meet
those
positive
student
achievement
goals.
So
at
this
time
this
concludes
our
overview
of
the
cpses,
and
we
want
to
thank
you
for
the
opportunity
to
present
this
evening
and
a
big
thank
you
to
our
leaders
as
well
as
all
the
stakeholders
who
participated
in
the
process
over
the
last
year.
C
Comments
yes,
I
I.
Do
president.
Thank
you
for
your
presentation.
It
was
very
detailed.
I
do
have
a
few
questions
every
year,
I
see
that
we
indicate
a
percentage
of
growth
in
each
area.
Have
the
schools
met
that
that
Target?
Do
you
have
the
data
on
that.
H
I
can
compile
that
data
for
you
and,
let
you
know
I
would
say
that
preliminary,
so
our
official
scores
for
the
past
year
are
not
out
yet
so
what
I
can
do
is
wait
when
those
official
scores
come
out
because
they're
still
tabulating
moving
kids
and
who
counted,
who
didn't
once
those
come
come
out.
We
I
can
definitely
provide
you
with
that
information.
H
Percentage,
it's
a
it's
a
few
things
so
when
you
say
a
percentage,
that's
why
I
say
it's
really
all
of
the
kids
you're
really
working
for
all
of
the
kids
to
keep
moving
forward,
but
when
you're
looking
at
percentages
sometimes
it
could
be,
it
depends
on
what
exact
area
you're
looking
at
if
you're
looking
at
English,
Learners
you're,
looking
at
that
particular
subgroup,
and
so,
if
you're
moving
that
many
students
it
could
be
if
a
school
has
and
remember
every
school
has
a
different
population
of
students,
so
really
you're.
Looking
at
each
School.
H
C
H
C
H
C
My
second
question
is
I'm.
Looking
at
the
six
goals
and
I
have
to
give
kudos
to
the
schools
that
budgeted
a
tremendous
amount
of
money
for
parent
engagement
and
I'll
call
those
out
Westside
Park
Gus,
Franklin,
Victoria,
mccaan
bradock
Morgan
k,
k,
Melva
Davis.
You
know
I'm
really
disappointed
to
see
some
schools
only
allocated
$1,000
for
to
me
to
look
at
that
mean
that
not
really
interested
in
parent
engagement.
So
I
would
like
to
see
those
figures
come
up.
C
You
know,
whereas
one
school
have
$
36,000,
another
school
have
a
thousand,
so
you
could
see
the
difference
in
that
and
I
think
they're,
bringing
our
parents
into
engaging
our
parents
to
help
our
students
to
help
our
schools
is
very
important
because
we
can't
do
it
without
them
and
we
can't
measure
just
say
they
don't
show
up
and
not
budget.
For
that,
it's
not
an
excuse
for
not
doing
it.
So
I
would
like
School
sites
to
really
look
at
parent
engagement,
because
there
that
that's
important
and
parents
we
have
to
bring
them
in.
C
We
have
to
find
a
way
to
bring
them
in,
and
so,
like
I
said
kudos
to
the
schools
that
looked
at
that
particular
part
of
it.
I'm
really
I'm
really
happy
about
that.
Otherwise,
the
presentation
was
great
and
you
know
I'm
looking
forward
to
looking
at
our
results.
You
know
based
on
that.
Thank
you,
Dr
choa
and
thank
you.
Drisa.
A
C
J
Thank
you,
madam
president.
I
doo
agree
with
truste
Turner
I
think
that
we
should
definitely
revise
those
numbers
for
sure.
I
did
want
to
thank
your
presentation,
Dr
and
Dr
D.
Thank
you.
K
G
You
I
thank
you
for
your
presentation,
I
like
how
it's
it's
easy
to
I
appreciate
that.
So
thank
thank
you.
B
Thank
you,
ladies
for
being
with
us
tonight,
and
your
presentations.
I
also
want
to
extend
my
gratitude
to
our
principles
as
I
know
that
each
one
worked
hard
on
their
plans.
I
do
concur
with
my
other
trusties
about
the
parent
engagement
as
we
are
building
the
support
systems
for
the
kids,
and
they
are
key
essential
to
making
sure
they're
ready
for
school.
So
I
do
hope
that
we
do
reev
valuate
those
particular
numbers
and
move
forward,
but
otherwise
thank
you
so
much
tonight
and
thank
you
for
your.
D
Presentation:
okay,
thank
you,
so
I
of
course,
have
parent
engagement
down
as
well.
So
what
I
I
concur
with
everything
that
my
fellow
trustees
said:
I
am
excited
and
interesting
in
what
are
the
goals
that
they're
going
to
set
in
place
in
order
to
be
able
to
get
it
done?
So
what
is
actually
the
hard
work
that
is
going
to
be
the
bullets
like
one,
two
three?
What
are
you
going
to
actually
do
in
order
to
accomplish
this
goal?
D
Because
without
our
parents
without
the
volunteers,
then
it's
difficult
to
get
a
move
forward
because
we
need
our
parents
to
come
and
we
need
to
volunteer.
But
what
are
we
going
to
do
besides,
say
that
I'm
going
to
put
this
money
aside?
What
are
you
going
to
do
with
the
money?
Are
you
going
to
provide
certain
activities?
How
are
you,
how
are
you
going
to
encourage
the
parents
to
come
and
I
think
I
saw
15
parents
I,
think
that
you
know
we
could
do
at
least
one
parent
per
classroom
right.
D
We
can
encourage
one.
You
know,
as
former
parent
for
this
school
district
there's
some
teachers
out
there
that
wed
me
in
right,
I
could
pop
popcorn
I
could
do
this
didn't
take
my
education.
They
didn't
asked
me
what
I
had
going
on
all
they
knew
is
that
I
need
you
to
go
serve
this
popcorn
and
from
there
I
Blossom
to
where
I
am
here
today.
So
as
a
parent,
all
it
takes
one
just
get
one
parent
from
out
of
your
classroom
to
cut.
Thank
thank.
D
E
F
F
F
Good
evening,
Madame
President
members
of
the
board
I,
am
now
on
this
side
of
the
Das
and
excited
this
evening
to
present
some
very
exciting
things
called
numbers
for
the
district
I
I,
you
know
I
get
enthused
about
it.
I
try
to
build
that
enthusiasm
for
everyone
else,
because
I
know
numbers
can
be
dry,
but
this
evening,
I'm
going
to
present
the
unaudited
actuals
presentation
and
just
to
give
you
a
short
synopsis
of
what
that
is.
F
Every
year
we
have
to
close
our
books
at
the
end
of
the
year
to
see
how
much
revenues
we
had
come
in,
how
much
expenditures
we
had
come
in
what
the
difference
is
and
then
what
carries
over
to
the
next
fiscal
year,
our
fiscal
years
go
from
July
1st
to
June
30th
of
every
year.
So
at
the
end
of
every
year,
Mr
kemish
his
department
will
start
asking
for
receipts
and
other
paperwork
from
sites
from
staff
members
to
turn
in
so
that
we
can
close
out
the
last
fiscal
year.
F
So
this
evening,
every
September
like
clockwork,
we
present
the
uned
actuals
to
the
board
and
to
the
community,
and
so
this
evening
this
is
the
Unown
actuals
for
the
2223
school
year.
How
we
ended
all
right,
just
a
brief
overview
of
discussion
topics
this
evening.
How
are
school
districts
funded?
What
are
uned
actuals
I
just
explained
that
to
everybody
revenues,
expenditures,
changes
any
fund
balance
and
then
our
next
steps-
and
so
this
evening
we
get
right
to
it.
So
I
wanted
to
put
a
slide
in
here
to
talk
about
how
school
districts
are
funded.
F
There's
a
there's,
a
lot
of
discussion,
Across
the
Nation
about
funding
for
school
districts
and
I'm
here
to
tell
you
that
all
school
districts
are
wul
underfunded
for
the
most
part
in
the
state
of
California,
unless
you're
a
basic
Aid
District,
which
means
that
there's
very
high
property
taxes
that
come
in
that
support
that
school
district,
where
there's
an
excess
of
money
rather
than
a
deficit,
and
so
but
for
the
most
part,
most
school
districts
are
not
making
enough
funding
to
support
overall
operations.
F
So
one
of
the
things
that
we
do
is
we
get
our
funding
from
the
state
government
from
the
federal
government
you'll
see
in
a
few
minutes
the
revenues
from
the
State
and
then
from
the
feds,
and
so
that's
where
we
get
the
bulk
of
our
money
from
one
of
the
things
that
we
are
different
than
say
a
city
is,
we
have
no
way
of
raising
revenue.
I
cannot
go
out
here
and
and
assign
taxes
to
people.
F
I
cannot
assess
you,
know
more
money
and
and
tell
people
to
pay
more
to
the
school
district
to
raise
money.
We
are
limited
based
on
the
amount
of
money
that
the
state
of
California
allocates
to
US,
based
on
a
formula.
So
every
year
we
kind
of
estimate
that
formula
based
on
attendance.
That's
how
we
get
funded
the
students
that
come
to
our
school
district
every
day
and
we
encourage
again
Dr
dsen
talked
about
September
being
attendance
awareness
month.
F
We
need
students
to
come
all
year
to
learn,
but
at
the
same
token,
that's
also
how
school
districts
are
funded.
So
if
students
Miss
throughout
the
year,
our
revenues
actually
go
down,
because
we
need
that.
We
need
students
to
be
here
all
180
days
of
the
school
year
and
if
everybody
was
here
and
we
had
100%
Ada
average
daily
attendance,
we
would
make
a
lot
more
money
about
1%
change.
In
average.
Daily
attendance
is
about
$900,000,
so
if
we're
at
94%
attendance
rate
every
day
and
we
get
it
to
95,
come
April.
F
When
we
report
our
attendance
every
April
on
P2,
we
could
potentially
see
close
to
a
million
dollar
increase
in
revenues.
So
that's
why
it's
very
important
for
every
school
site
to
encourage
their
families
and
their
students
to
come
every
day,
but
that's
the
unique
thing
about
school
districts.
We
have
no
way
of
raising
money
to
increase
our
revenues.
F
You
know
one
of
the
things
I
don't
know
if
you've
had
an
opportunity
to
Door
Dash
I
was
feeling
under
the
weather
a
few
weeks
ago
and
I
did
a
door
Dash
and
I
haven't
used
it
in
a
long
time
and
I
ordered
the
biggie
bag
from
Wendy's
yeah
I
eat
at
Wendy's.
I
know
I
shouldn't
it's
bad
students.
Don't
do
that.
It's
not
good
for
your
health,
but
I
ate
at
Wendy's.
I.
Had
the
biggie
bag
well,
little
did
I
know
it
was
a
biggie
price
for
the
biggie
bag.
F
So
what
was
normally
a
$15
biggie
bag
after
they
tacked
on
a
service
fee,
a
delivery
fee,
a
California
fee.
All
these
other
fees
I
have
no
idea
what
they
are.
They
come
up
to
about:
$30
almost
doubled
my
biggie
bag,
so,
needless
to
say,
I'm
not
going
to
get
a
biggie
bag
again,
but
a
private
company
like
door
Dash
is
able
to
raise
their
rates
if
they
want
to
make
more
Revenue
I
wish
school
districts
had
that
ability,
and
unfortunately
we
do
not
so
again
on
this
slide.
F
Just
to
talk
to
you
a
little
bit
about
the
fact
that,
as
the
state
economy
gets,
Better
or
Worse,
the
governor
decides
how
much
funding
that
they
want
to
do
for
school
districts
and
then
also
we
do
a
multi-year
projection
to
see
how
we're
doing
in
the
current
year
and
the
two
out
years
and
then
I
talked
about
what
are
unaudited
actuals
again,
how
we
close
the
year.
We
talk
about
restricted
and
unrestricted
dollars.
F
This
evening
we
had
Dr
Ooa,
discuss
the
the
sipsas
and
talk
about
some
of
the
restricted
dollars
in
there,
such
as
your
Sr
funds.
Your
categorical
funds
you'll
see
those
numbers
here
in
a
few
minutes.
Restricted
money
is
that
just
that
very
restricted
can
be
used
for
General
operating
purposes.
It
has
specific
uses
that
it
has
to
be
utilized.
For
so
we'll
talk
about
that
unrestricted
dollars
and
then
again
by
September
15th
of
every
year,
it
has
to
go
to
board
all
right.
So
here
you
see
before
you
the
unrestricted
Revenue.
F
So
this
is
the
money
that
is
not
categorical
money.
This
is
the
bulk
of
the
money
that
we
get
from
the
state.
You
can
see
lcff
sources
there
and
what
you
see
on
unaudited
actuals.
The
reason
it
is
unaudited
is
because
our
Auditors
don't
come
until
November.
They
audit
the
books,
and
then
we
we
received
the
report
in
December.
We
present
to
the
board
in
January
the
audit
and
they
become
audited
actuals,
but
right
now,
they're
unaudited
estimates
that
we
provide
to
the
community
to
the
County
Office
of
Ed.
So
again,
lcff
sources.
F
We
estimated
98.5
million
came
out
at
98.7
million.
You
see
the
change
there,
so
the
very
last
column
is
the
increase
in
what
we
estimated
and
what
the
UN
audited.
When
we
closed
the
books,
it
actually
came
into,
so
you
can
see
there
because
the
federal
is
all
restricted.
It
has
zero
dollars
on
there.
Then
you
have
other
state.
A
lot
of
that
is
special,
ed
money
that
we
have
coming
in
from
other
state.
You
have
local,
which
could
be
interest.
F
It
could
be
other
areas
that
we
have
money
coming
in
as
well,
so
our
total
revenue,
the
change
as
you
can
see
on
the
unrestricted
side,
is
about
$1.1
million
that
number
down
in
the
bottom.
Right
now,
when
we
looked
at
our
restricted
revenues,
that
I
was
just
talking
about
again,
you
don't
include
the
state
in
there,
because
that
is
unrestricted
money.
F
Here
you
have
Federal,
which
is
mainly
all
of
our
Sr
funds,
are
categoricals
our
grants
that
I
have
to
say
to
Dr
DWI
on
and
Dr
oo
and
their
team
have
been
really
writing
a
lot
of
Grants
and
we've
been
receiving
a
lot
of
money
on
the
restricted
side.
It's
great
that
we're
receiving
that
money,
but
again
just
keep
in
mind
it's
very
restricted.
F
So
when
we
get
the
money
in,
you
can
do
one
of
two
things
you
can
try
to
spend
it
all
in
one
year
on
the
restricted
side
which
we
don't
want
to
do,
because
we
want
to
try
to
take
it
and
allocate
it
over
several
years.
And
so
that's
the
other
point
you
get
it
in.
You
can
spend
it
all
in
one
year
or
you
can
take
it,
make
a
plan
and
spend
it
over
three
years
or,
however
long
the
deadline
is
and
Dr
Aro
and
her
team
have
those
deadlines
to
spend
money.
F
So
here
you'll
see
on
the
federal
side
we
estimated
26
million
Revenue.
We
only
got
23
in
so
again.
That's
because
maybe
the
grant
money
didn't
all
come
in
in
this
year.
So
you
see
a
a
red
number
there.
That
just
means
that
we
didn't
get
all
the
categorical
in
in
this
year.
We
might
get
it
this
next
year
in
23,
24
same
thing
with
the
other
state
and
local.
On
the
restricted
side.
F
You
can
see
there
that
we
budgeted
because
we
anticipated
coming
in
but
again,
if
it
didn't
come
in
right
now,
because
the
fiscal
year
is
a
wonky,
we
got
four
quarters,
it
might
come
in
in
the
quarter
that
we're
already
into
July
and
starts
the
new
fiscal
year,
so
we'll
reflect
it
at
first
inter
in
December.
So
you
can
see
our
total
restricted
revenues.
We
anticipated
64
million
came
in
at
60
million
difference
of
four
million
there.
F
So
then
this
slide
just
talks
about
the
combined
revenues
we
put
that
in
there,
so
it
basically
takes
what
I
just
talked
to
you
all
about
the
unrestricted
restricted
puts
it
together
comes
up
with
the
numbers
to
show
you
the
overall
picture.
When
we
talk
about
combined
revenues,
and
then
we
talk
about
the
expenditures,
because
we
not
only
have
to
report
how
our
revenues
were.
We
also
have
to
look
at
our
expenditures
to
say:
hey.
We,
we
thought
we
were
going
to
do
X
and
we
did
y.
F
So
here
you
can
see
on
our
expenditures,
for
instance,
unrestricted
estimated
35
million
35.0
million.
We
actually
spent
35.8
million
okay,
so
we
spent
746,000
more
than
what
we
anticipated
for
various
reasons,
same
thing
in
classified
salaries,
you
can
see
the
benefits
there,
areas
that
we
did
not
spend
like.
We
had
anticipated
again
take
books
and
supplies.
You'll
see
a
red
number
there.
F
That
just
means
that
we
did
not
spend
that
amount
of
money
for
various
reasons,
same
thing
and
the
others,
and
so
the
total
expenditures
on
the
unrestricted
we
did
not
spend
about
8
point
$898,000.
F
Then
we
take
a
look
at
our
restricted
expenditures
and
again
I
have
to
emphasize
that
there's
a
plan
in
place
for
our
restricted
monies
and
it
you
don't
want
to
spend
it
all
in
one
year.
You
have
to
allocate
it
over
a
couple
years,
maybe
three
years
depending
on
the
timeline,
and
so
we
may
recognize
it
in
one
year.
F
So,
if
I
get
10
million
in
this
current
year,
but
I
want
to
take
that
10
million
divide
it
over
five
years,
I'm
going
to
only
spend
2
million
a
year,
but
I
have
to
recognize
that
Revenue
in
in
the
current
year.
So
it
looks
kind
of
wonky.
Sometimes
here
you
see
that,
where
our
expenditures
we
anticipated
spending,
we
didn't
spend
it
all,
and
so
what
we
do
is
we
carry
it
over
until
we
have
a
deadline
to
spend.
F
It
you'll
see
that
on
all
of
our
areas
here
for
expenditures,
and
so
we
anticipated
spending
62
million
and
we
only
ended
up
spending
53.
What
happens,
then,
is
those
expenditures
move
over
to
this
current
fiscal
year.
So
at
first
interim
you,
you
will
see
where
the
team
has
either
been
spending
it
or
has
the
plan
to
keep
spending
it
over
the
next
year
or
two
and
then
just
again
our
combined
expenditures.
You
see
here
when
we
look
at
this,
you
can
see
where
we
have
combined
the
expenditures,
unrestricted
and
restricted
together.
F
At
the
end
of
the
day,
the
total
expenditures
there
was
a
difference
of
9.6
million,
and
that
is
both
unrestricted
and
restricted
monies.
So
then
we
do
a
multi-year
projection
and
what
we
usually
have
to
do
a
three-year
projection,
but
actuals
we
actually
don't
have
to
do
one.
We
do
it
anyway,
just
to
show
the
community
kind
of
where
we
think
we're
going
to
be
at
first
interim
in
December,
you'll
see
that
actual
multiyear
projection
that
we
do,
but
we
do
an
internal
one
and
we
just
put
the
numbers
out
here.
F
These
are
projected
numbers,
but
they
again
sub
everything
is
subject
to
change
on
this.
When
we
look
at
that
there
was
one
thing
I
wanted
to
point
out
a
minute
ago
on
this
slide
here,
I'm
very
excited
to
say:
last
year
you
may
have
heard
look
down
in
the
bottom
left.
You
see
a
blue
line
there
in
blue.
It
says
the
dist
met
our
CA
at
60.3%
last
year.
F
You
may
have
heard
there
were
several
comments
about
us
being
at
55%
and
that's
the
total
amount
of
money
that
we
have
to
spend
on
salaries
and
benefits
for
our
employees,
and
so
you
can
see
there
that
at
un
audited
actuals
when
we
closed
the
books,
we
actually
exceeded
the
60%
by
33%.
F
So
I
want
to
point
that
out
because
very
important
that
we
make
sure
that
we
are
meeting
that
as
a
district
and
that
that
is
being
told
out
there
when
we
do
that
so
I
apologize
about
going
back,
I
just
remembered
it
a
second
ago
when
we've
got
to
the
multi-year
projections,
but
you
can
see
here
for
23
24
again
subject
to
change.
F
We
got
our
total
revenues,
total
expenditures
and
again
then
you
know
we
may
not
spend
all
of
our
money
or
we
may
spend
more
on
the
federal
side
because
again
we
recognize
it.
But
if
we
have
to
spend
it
in
this
next
year,
it's
going
to
look
like
we're
deficit
spending,
so
Dr
Ooa
and
Dr
dson
have
to
really
work
on.
Well,
we
got
$14
million,
for
instance,
in
a
a
grant,
we're
not
going
to
spend
that
14
million
in
one
year.
F
We
can
budget
for
for
it,
but
we're
not
going
to
spend
it
all.
There's
no
way
we
can
spend
14
million
in
one
year,
but
Dr
DWIs
and
her
team
are
doing
a
great
job
of
of
working
on.
How
can
we
allocate
that
over
several
years
to
make
it
last
as
long
as
possible?
So
you'll
see
projected
budget,
because
we
can't
just
put
it
over
here
in
this
little
account
and
let
it
sit
over
there.
We
got
to
actually
budget
it,
but
then,
when
we
spend
it
is
another
story.
F
So
you'll
see
that
there
we
see
our
beginning
fund
balance
and
again
this
is
our
projections
here,
ending
fund
balance.
We
have
our
restricted,
ending
fund
balance.
I
want
to
point
that
out.
The
bulk
of
our
money
is
in
restrict
red.
You
can
see
in
our
ending
fund
balance.
37
million
is
in
restricted,
23
24
about
25
million
in
2425,
so
that
is
where
the
bulk
of
our
ending
fund
balance
comes
from.
F
When
you
see
the
48
million
up
at
the
ending
fund,
balance
and
31,
the
bulk
of
that
money
is
in
restricted
funds,
and
then
we
have
electric
buses.
We
actually
have,
hopefully
three
more
coming
in
November
and
three
more
electric
buses
in
January,
but
they're,
not
totally
free.
We
actually
have
to
contribute
a
certain
amount
of
money
to
them.
So
we
put
us
set
aside
for
that.
Dr
dson
and
her
team
are
working
on
the
next
textbook
adoption,
depending
on
how
that
price
comes
in,
because
textbooks
are
very
pricey.
F
So
we
have
three
million
set
aside
on
that.
We
have
a
camera
project
security,
camera
project,
Mr
Sinatra
and
his
team
have
been
working
with
vendors
to
do
an
RFP
to
get
out
there
to
put
a
districtwide
security
camera
system
across
the
district.
We
have
various
School
sites
that
have
you
know
their
own
ones
that
over
the
years
have
been
put
in,
but
we
need
a
district
comprehensive
one.
F
So
we
see
that
there
we
have
our
reserves
that
we
are
that's
our
required
reserves
on
that
line
and
then
are
unassigned
down
at
the
bottom
and
again
this
is
all
subject
to
change
based
on
Ada
attendance
based
on
the
state
of
California
funding.
Our
school
district
may
be
in
the
out
years,
more
or
less,
depending
on
the
state
economy
in
2425.
F
So
hopefully
the
state
economy
of
California
at
least
for
door
Dash,
is
improving
because
they
make
fees
on
everything
so
hopefully
that
projects
into
you
know
state
revenue
for
us
I
hope,
anyway,
all
right
this
evening.
Hopefully
the
board
approves
the
the
unoted
actuals
report.
Next
steps
report
sent
to
the
County
Office
of
Ed,
we
keep
assessing
our
Ada
and
I
have
to
say
thank
you
to
our
principles.
We
have
one
in
the
audience
this
evening,
who'll
be
presenting
next
krie
Kart
is
our
new
principal
from
Columbia
Middle
School.
F
She
sent
me
a
text
on
Friday.
She
was
so
excited
and
I
was
excited
for
her
and
her
team
because
they
were
at
97%
attendance.
That
is,
that
is
absolutely
spectacular
for
a
school
any
school
for
that
matter.
But
when
most
schools,
you
know
in
general,
in
the
state
around
93
94
95%,
so
she
was
very
proud
and
I
was
proud
for
her
to
hear
that.
So
we
keep
assessing
our
Ada
our
attendants,
making
adjustments
for
first
interim,
because
again,
that's
where
our
Revenue
comes
in.
F
Our
annual
audit
will
be
coming
by
the
district
Auditors,
we'll
present
that
in
January
and
then
our
first
inter
report
will
come
to
the
board
in
December
the
December
board
meeting.
So
with
that
I
want
to
thank
the
team
that
helped
put
this
together.
Zach
clemes.
He
was
here
this
evening,
10
years
with
us,
but
he's
been
with
us
a
lot
longer
because
he
started
in
kindergarten,
perfect
attendance
by
the
way,
Zach
he's
probably
home,
saying.
F
Why
did
Mr
K
say
that,
but
always
proud
to
say
that
about
him,
and
you
know
his
mom
works
for
us.
Brenda
works
for
us
and
then
his
sister
works
for
us
as
well
as
a
librarian.
So
we're
excited
to
have
the
family
here
with
us,
but
Carrie
eing,
Katie,
uing,
she's
gonna
text
me
before
I
get
to
my
seat.
It's
Katie
Ewing!
It's
it's!
A
wonderful
name
and
I
I
should
know
it
and
I
apologize.
F
Katie
I
get
it
siia
Hayes
as
well,
whose
mother
also
works
for
the
district
over
at
Melva
Davis.
So
we're
excited
to
have
you
know,
people
that
are
again
I
I
mentioned
this
evening
up
in
the
Das
we're
a
family
and
we
truly
are.
We
have
people
that
have
been
with
us
for
many
years
and
a
lot
of
family
members
with
us
and
so
we're
we're
excited
to
continue
that
Legacy
as
we
move
forward,
but
with
that
it's
all
I
have
this
evening
for
the
board.
C
Questions
I
have
a
question
and
I
probably
missed
it,
but
U
Mr
CRA.
Could
you
explain
what
are
non,
suspend
bles?
What
is
that.
F
Oh
yes,
trusty,
Turner,
great
question,
so
we
have
a
warehouse
here
and
in
the
warehouse
we
have
a
stock
of
things
like
paper,
pencils,
crayons
things
of
that
nature,
and
so
that
nonspendable
is
an
estimate
every
year
of
how
much
that's
worth
in
the
warehouse.
So
we
have
to
keep
that
dollar
amount
on
the
books.
It's
a
required
amount
that
all
districts
have
that
line
item
on
there
and
it's
generally
their
restricted
money.
That's
in
the
basically
it's
it's
the
money
for
the
stores
in
the
warehouse
that
Warehouse
has
in
stock.
C
And
another
question
other
outgo:
what
what
what
do
you
spend
that
money
on
other
outgo.
F
So,
for
example,
we
have
a
very
large
special
education
population
in
our
district
and
unfortunately,
we
sometimes
do
not
have
all
of
the
resources
or
the
staff
or
the
equipment
to
be
able
to
service
the
needs
of
these
students.
And
so
sometimes
the
county
is
able
to
do
that
with
their
resources,
and
so
other
outgo
is
transferring
to
either
the
County
Office
of
Ed
to
tr,
to
educate
those
students,
or
perhaps
it's
a
non-public
school
that
we
use
to
do
that.
F
So
other
outgo
is
money
that
we
pay
another
organization
to
educate
our
students
every
year
and
that
could
fluctuate
Up
and
Down.
Based
on
the
number
of
students
that
you
know
again.
The
program
needs
the
IEP
determines
that
what
is
it
that
they
need?
And
if
we
Dr
dwen
and
her
team
over
in
academic
Services,
who
oversees
special
ed
if
they
deter
that,
we
can't
do
that.
Then
we
have
to
look
for
other
placements
and
so
you'll
see
a
lot
of
that.
Every.
C
Year
and
one
more
question
under
expenditures
for
certificated
salaries.
What
page
is
this,
but
the
pages
are
not
numbered.
It's
the
one
where
EST
restricted
estimate,
15,
549,000.
We
only
the
uned
actuals
is
14,000.
So
it's
a
difference
of
7
76,000.
So
is
that?
Because
we
have
positions
open
that
we
have
not
filled,
could
you
explain.
F
Yes,
so,
on
the
on
the
restricted
side,
we
we
always
budget
the
money
and,
and
we
anticipate
positions
to
be
filled.
Unfortunately,
in
restricted
and
restricted
side
of
the
house,
we
have
many
positions
that
go
unfilled
right
now,
we're
not
the
only
School
District
that
does
that,
but
that's
a
large
amount
of
where
we
anticipate
hiring
staff
and
spending
it,
and
we
don't
because
the
staff
we
we
fly,
the
positions
HR
does
a
great
job
already
Peralta
who's
with
us
this
evening.
F
Her
and
her
team
do
a
great
job,
but
unfortunately,
at
the
end
of
the
day,
we're
limited
to
how
many
people
apply
and
who
many,
how
many
are
able
to
work
those
positions,
so
that
money
will
then
go
back
into
the
restricted
pot
until
we
are
able
to
fill
those
positions
now
again,
Mr
Clem
and
his
team
will
always
budget
them.
Whether
we
have
anybody
in
there
or
not,
because
they
have
to
have
a
placeholder
right.
F
We
might
hire
somebody
tomorrow
and
if
we
didn't
budget
for
it,
we
we'd
be
in
bad
shape.
So
we
want
to
make
sure
that
we
do
have
placeholders
in
the
budget
for
positions
that
Dr,
Ooa
and
and
Dr
dson
have
identified
on
the
restricted
side
of
the
house
that
are
needed
for
many
of
the
areas
that
we
have
needs
for.
Okay,.
C
G
I,
wait:
I,
don't
volunteer
to
speak
up.
I
just
want
to
see
first
thing
I
do
want
to
thank
thank
you
for
your
presentation
and
I.
Do
appreciate
how
you
put
in
how
schools
are
fund
funded
online.
You
hear
parents
say
that
that
that
the
schools
just
care
about
about
the
kids,
because
they
want
their
M
money
and
you
know
they
they
only
want
one
want
the
cash
and
they
bu
bug
about
the
kids
being
at
school.
It's
like
that's
what
we
have
to
do.
G
We
have
to
have
the
kids
in
the
school
and
plus
the
kids
need
to
be
in
school
because
it's
hard
to
get
them
to
cat
catch
up.
When
you
go
to
Disneyland
and
stuff
like
that,
it's
like
you
know
we're
trying
to
it.
Each
day
builds
but
I
like
how
you
explain
that
it
isn't
like
we're
over
there
in
the
back
laugh
laughing
with
the
Mone
money
falling
on
us.
It's
like.
We
need
the
kids
in
the
class
A,
so
they
they
can
learn
B.
G
So
we
get
the
fund
funding,
so
we
can
keep
doing
what
we're
doing
and
have
the
pro
programs
and
have
the
lunch
and
have
the
text
textbooks
and
have
the
equip
equipment
and
the
Proctors
and
the
Paras
and
all
the
things
you
know
the
I
never
realize
what
a
machine
school
districts
are.
I
mean
schools
alone,
but
a
school
dist
district
and
it's
built
on
the
basic
foundations
is
the
kids
have
to
be
in
the
classroom
and
I
appre
appreciate
that
you
put
that
in
there.
Thank
thank
you.
J
My
one
question
was
taken:
I
did
want
to
thank
you
for
your
presentation,
U
Mr
Cross.
Thank
you.
Thank
you.
Trusty.
B
Yes,
thank
you
for
your
presentation.
Sir
I
had
one
question
on
the
multi-year
projections
projected
ending
fund
balance
for
the
202
2324
school
year
on
the
unassigned,
it's
4284
and
then
for
the
2425
comes
for
1.9
mil.
Is
there
a
reason,
there's
such
a
difference
in
that
number.
F
Yes,
because
we
potentially
don't
anticipate
spending
as
much
in
the
24
25
year,
the
revenues
could
be
higher
and
expenditures
could
be
lower,
based
on
adjustments
that
we
make
throughout
the
year
and
again
that
number
is
subject
to
change
right
now.
F
The
number
that
is
solid
is
that
42,000,
that's
how
we
ended
the
year
on
the
books,
that's
what
we
report
to
the
County
Office
of
it
and-
and
you
bring
up
a
great
question
about
these
numbers,
because
one
of
the
things
that
it's
not
just
our
team-
that
does
it-
we
have
to
send
this
to
the
County
Office
of
Education.
They
actually
do
a
comprehensive
review
of
all
of
these
numbers
and
they
send
the
board
president
a
letter
and,
and
they
tell
them,
Point
Blank-
hey.
We
don't
agree
with
this.
F
We
think
there's
a
bunch
of
bunk
or
we
believe
that
this
is
is
is
is
accurate,
and
so
we
never
know
what
that's
going
to
say,
because
it's
kind
of
independent
of
what
we
do
and
then
our
Auditors
come,
but
as
of
right
now
again
that's
what
we're
projecting
that
we
may
not
be
spending
as
much
in
2425.
It
could
be
on
the
restricted
side.
It
could
be
on
the
unrestricted
side
so
that
there
would
be
a
little
more
money
in
the
ending
fund
balance
on
the
unassigned.
F
But
again
that
is
subject
to
change.
Something
might
occur
between
now
and
December.
That
dictates
us
to
allocate
more
funds
to
something
somewhere.
I
know:
Mr
shacha
is
working
on
Chromebook
cards,
for
example,
we
priced
them
out
there's
some
Chromebook
cards
that
are
several
thousand
dollars,
so
we
want
every
classroom
to
have
Chromebooks
about
400.
We
need
we
have
several,
but
again
that's
an
expenditure
that
we
would
have
to
potentially
do.
F
F
F
Yes,
Madam
President.
We
are
excited
this
evening
to
Welcome
to
the
podium
Carrie
Kart.
This
is
her
first
presentation
to
the
board
in
this
fiscal
year
as
the
principal
of
Columbia
Middle
School,
we're
excited
that
she's
joined
our
team
and
I
know
she's,
going
to
do
a
great
job
this
evening,
presenting
on
Columbia
Middle,
School
and
all
the
things
that
are
going
on
over
there.
So
with
that
principal
Kart,
take
it.
M
You
pull
it
down.
Okay,
I
forget
I'm
short,
thank
you.
Mr
kuss
and
Board
of
Trustees
I
appreciate
the
opportunity
to
come
and
share
a
couple
of
updates
and
successes
and
kind
of
where
we
are
six
weeks
in
to
you
know
my
first
year
as
principal
at
Columbia,
Middle
School
I
have
brought
along
with
me
and
I'll
call
them
up
in
just
a
few
moments,
but
three
well,
two.
M
Sorry,
we
had
three
young,
ladies
and
one
had
a
family
situation,
so
she
wasn't
able
to
stay,
but
two
of
our
student
leaders
on
campus
to
share
their
perspective.
So
overall
Columbia
is
making
steady
progress
and
creating
a
positive
and
supportive
learning
environment
for
students.
What
I
continue
to
hear
from
several
different
people
who
have
been
here
and
know
Colombia
from
before
and
know
Colombia
of
course,
by
visiting
this
year?
Is
it
just
feels
different
when
they
walk
on
campus
and
something's
just
really
different?
M
It
feels
different,
so
I'm,
always
I'm
constant
Checker
and
I
check
with
students
all
the
time
you
were
here
last
year.
Right
does
it
feel
different?
Is
it?
Is
it
the
same,
and
so
I
have
a
lot
of
students
who
tell
me
yeah,
miss
coart.
It
feels
different,
so
I'm
really
excited
to
see
that
students
are
able
to
feel
it
and
I
hear
it
from
staff
as
well.
C
M
Right,
so
a
few
of
the
things
that
we're
going
to
mention
just
know
that
it's
just
a
few
of
our
celebrations,
it's
difficult
for
me,
sometimes
to
come
up
with
celebrations,
because
I'm
always
just
in
the
grind
so
I'm
always
just
focused
on
the
work
but
before
I
move
forward.
I
do
want
to
say
that
I
am
not
a
one-woman
team.
I
have
an
exceptional
assistant
principal
in
Alexia,
Marquez
and
I
appreciate
the
fact
that
she,
you
know,
is
by
my
side
helping
me
as
we
lead
this
campus
after
I
share.
M
These
few
highlights
our
student
leaders
from
ASB
will
speak,
and
not
only
will
they
share
their
observations
of
the
changes,
but
also
some
of
their
observations,
of
what
we
could
do
to
continue
to
improve
our
school
I.
Ask
them
to
make
sure
that
what
they
have
to
say
is
realistic,
because
it's
one
thing
to
paint
the
rosie
picture.
It's
another
thing
to
paint
the
realistic
actual
picture
where
we
can
measure
and
be
specific
about
our
growth
and
and
know
that
we
actually
are
making
growth
and
I.
M
Think
that,
because
this
is
their
school
and
I
say
to
our
students
every
day
in
the
announcements,
PBIS
is
way
more
than
just
be
respectful,
responsible
and
safe.
This
is
your
school
and
you
can
make
it
a
great
school.
So
I
am
super
excited
to
hear
what
they
have
to
say
at
as
we
talk
about
not
only
what
they've
seen
change
what
they
see
can
change
and
what
they
hope
the
future
is
for
our
school.
So
at
the
latter
part
of
August,
we
had
a
successful
fire
drill
which
I
feel
as
I.
M
Listen
to
our
secretary
who's
been
there
for
the
longest
time
talk
about
how
efficient
it
was.
Our
teachers
and
our
students
walked
out
and
worked
together
to
evacuate
the
buildings,
but
not
only
just
I'm,
not
leaving
the
building
I'm
not
out
here
at
AC,
ing,
wild
and
and
doing
random
things
I'm.
Actually,
my
teacher
is
leading
us
to
our
evacuation
point.
M
We
are
following
the
lead
of
someone
and
we're
doing
exactly
what
we're
expected
to
do,
and
it's
important
to
me,
because
safety
is
important
and
I
want
our
teachers
to
make
sure
that
they
take
safety
very
seriously
and
the
the
fact
that
they
stood
in
the
front
and
led
their
students.
I
think
also
demonstrates
the
care
that
they're
showing
for
all
of
our
students,
which
is
tantamount
to
me.
M
Our
students
need
to
know
that
we
care
about
them
every
single
day,
so
this
year,
our
folky
one
of
our
focuses
rather,
is
that
students
also
take
ownership
of
their
own
education.
The
school
focused
on
help
where
our
focus
is
helping.
Students
take
ownership
of
their
not
only
their
academics
but
their
social
and
emotional
learning.
This
is
evident
not
only
in
the
fire
drill,
but
also
in
the
daily
checks
that
we
have
of
understanding
in
our
walkthroughs.
M
We
see
that
our
students
are
prepared
in
the
morning
when
we
greet
every
student
as
they
come
to
the
campus
and
we
check
them
managing
to
follow
the
dress
codee
and
they
are
reporting
issues
and
we
have
less
vaping
incidents
on
campus
or
any
of
those
things
and
it's
partially
because
they
are
taking
the
responsibility
and
ownership
to
say:
hey,
Miss
Kart.
We
know
that
that's
not
the
school,
you
want
to
run.
M
So
we
want
to
come
and
talk
to
you
and
let
you
know
these
things
are
happening,
Viper
cabinet,
so
upcoming
we
have
the
Viper
cabinet.
The
only
reason
we
going
to
call
it
Viper
council
is
because
our
Viper
Viper
council
is
one
of
our
in
interventions
post
suspension
with
our
probation
officer,
where
he
does
classes
with
students,
so
that
students
can
learn
the
skills
to
stay
away
from
the
trouble
that
got
them
suspended.
So
we've
decided
to
create,
what's
called
the
Viper
cabinet
for
student
leadership.
M
It
is
a
student
leadership
group
that
will
help
make
decisions
on
campus.
This
initiative
shows
the
school's
commitment
to
the
student
voice
and
empowerment
once
again,
it's
their
school
as
much
as
it
is
my
school
and
so
I
think
that
they
should
have
the
power
to
speak
their
peace
and
make
decisions.
M
Also,
we
are
trying
to
implement
a
culture
of
fun
on
campus,
so
our
fantastic
ASB
coordinator,
Mrs,
Spence,
aka
Miss
green,
has
been
responsible
for
putting
together
school
dances.
We
had
to
cancel
one,
but
we
have
one
coming
up.
She
has
created
an
entire
calendar
of
fun
activities
for
this
year
and
we're
looking
forward
to
all
of
those
engaging
exciting
activities.
M
M
At
the
end
and
she's,
a
very
quiet
person
came
up
to
Mrs,
Marquez
and
said
I've
been
here
nine
years,
and
this
is
the
best
back
to
school
night
we
have
ever
had,
and
so
I
was
really
touched
and
proud
that
she
would
say
that,
of
course,
we
had
food,
because
you
know
food
is
a
great
motivator,
but
also
had
a
great
turnout
of
parents
and
our
teachers
were
prepared
and
they
told
the
the
parents
what
their
expectations
are,
what
their
curriculum
is,
how
they
expect
students
to
learn
and
how
to
contact
them
when
their
students
aren't
learning
so
that
we
can
support
one
another.
M
Lastly,
this
is
lastly,
teacher
leg
clubs,
so
it
was
different
this
year
that
I
said
I
won't
be
paying
for
teachers
to
lead
clubs,
and
they
were
surprised,
but
I
want
to
allocate
our
funds
more
toward
tutoring
and
toward
toward
the
things
that
are
that
will
help
us
grow
academically.
And
so,
if
you
want
to
do
a
club,
I
want
you
to
do
it
out
of
your
heart.
M
That's
what
you
want
to
do
to
connect
to
students,
and
so
we
had
several
teachers
who
still
chose
to
lead
their
clubs
and
I
was
really
excited.
So
we
have
a
lot
of
our
teachers
who
are
committed
to.
We
have
our
Hispanic
Heritage
Club.
We
have
our
steud
Hall,
but
that's
our
Avid
certified
teacher.
So
really
he's
there
just
to
make
sure
our
students
know
Avid
skills.
We
have
our
dance
club,
just
a
variety
of
different
clubs.
On
campus.
M
We
also
have
a
Christian
club
and
our
quite
a
few
of
our
students
are
engaged
in
participating
in
these
clubs.
So
next
you
are
going
to
hear
from
two
of
our
fantastic
leaders
on
campus
The,
Marvelous,
Miss,
Melanie
lighton
and
the
Beautiful
Miss
Bella
renden.
We
are
missing
Sierra
Drayton,
who
had
a
family
emergency,
but
a
testament
to
our
students
and
their
resilience
is
that
these
two
young
leaders
will
add
what
Sierra
was
going
to
share
to
what
they
had
to
have
to
share.
K
Ladies
hi
I'm
Melanie
and
today
I'm
going
to
be
talking
about
things
that
were
that
were
happening
last
year
that
have
improved
today,
so
first
I
want
to
start
off
with
first
I
want
to
start
off
with
fights
that
has
definitely
gotten
better
because
of
our
new
principal
and
our
new
assistant
principal
and
also
the
vaping.
There
was
a
lot
of
vaping
and
in
the
bathroom
it
was
crazy.
K
Like
a
lot
a
lot
of
things,
it
was
just
really
crazy
and
that
has
definitely
gotten
better,
but
our
water
probably
needs
to
be
a
lot
better,
because
a
lot
of
kids
haven't
been
drinking
a
lot
of
water,
so
that's
probably
what's
needs
to
be
improved
and
that's.
C
N
J,
hello,
everyone
I
hope
everyone's
doing
good.
Today,
I
am
Bella
Rendon
seventh
grade
and
an
ASB
leader
today,
I'm
going
to
be
talking
about
the
good
things
that
have
happened
so
far
and
the
good
things
that
are
going
to
be
coming
up
because
come
on
who
doesn't
like
good
things.
N
So
what's
happened
so
far
is
that
ASB
has
held
a
field
trip
for
leadership
ship
day
and
it
was
really
fun
and
entertaining
and
as
well
as
Kona
Ice
came
because
obviously
some
people
just
might
want
an
icy
on
a
summer
dat.
So
the
coming
updates
are
some
more
school
dances
which
are
going
to
be
super
fun
and
obviously
we're
going
to
be
decorating.
We're
going
to
be
doing
a
lot
of
things
that
are
going
to
be
good
for
the
dances,
because,
obviously
nobody
wants
to
waste
their
money
on
a
wearing.
N
Dance
so
also
everything
has
been
improving.
Teachers,
attitudes,
School
fights.
N
M
Thank
you
very
much,
ladies
I
just
want
to
say
that
they
were
also
asked.
If
they'd
be
willing
to
do
this
on
their
own,
they
were
willing
to
do
it
and
I
think
that
speaks
volumes.
M
E
G
Trustees,
I,
don't
have
a
question,
but
I
do
have
a
com,
com,
com
and
I
just
want
to
first
thing.
Thank
thank
you
for
come
coming
and
share
sharing
because
I
know
the
board
real
really
does
care.
We
want
you
to
have
a
good
exper
experience.
We
all
always
have,
and
we
have
been
so
so
excit
excited
with
your
new
PR
principal
and
your
vice
principal,
like
I'm.
G
Just
we
are
it's
static
and
can't
wait
and
to
hear
you
say
that
things
H
have
improved,
really
really
I
got
chills,
I
was
there
one
day
and
like
three
fights
broke
out
and
the
camp
Camp
campus
was
crawling
with
dis,
District
grown-ups
and
there
were
still
fights.
I
was
like
wow.
So
to
hear
that
it's
so
less.
G
J
Thank
you,
madam
president.
I
just
wanted
to
thank
the
two
young
ladies
here
for
your
for
coming
out
here
and
saying
those
words
really
it.
It
takes
a
lot
and
it's
important
for
us
to
hear
feedback
as
well,
so
that
we
know
what's
going
on
in
our
schools.
So
thank
you
for
coming.
I
want
to
thank
our
new
principal
and
vice
principal
for
being
here
today
and
for
your
presentation,
we're
very
glad
to
hear
the
progress
that's
been
going
on.
So
thank
you.
Thank
you.
C
You
wna
go
again:
I
have
to
concur
with
my
fellow
trustees.
You
know,
speaking
in
public
is
really
really
hard.
You
know
and
I
appreciate
you
coming
sharing
the
good
news.
The
improvements
made
at
Colombia
I
also
know
that
there's
been
some
improvement
because
we
used
to
get
emails
and
text
messages
from
the
superintendent
every
single
day
last
year
about
what
was
going
on
there
and
I
have
not
gotten
one,
maybe
one,
but
not
nearly
as
many
as
we
have
gotten.
C
Thank
you
again,
U
Miss
Kart
and
your
team
you're
doing
a
fabulous
job.
I
love
how
you
are
engaging
the
students
to
take
responsibility,
you
know
and
let
them
know
that
is
their
campus.
This
is
your
school,
you
know
and
how
you
act
in
it.
You
know
shows
to
the
community
and
to
your
fellow
students.
You
know
what
you
care
or
you
don't
care
and
I
I
appreciate,
I,
appreciate
you
doing
that
and
so
keep
up
the
good
work.
You
know
and
I'll
be
there
to
visit
soon.
Okay,
thank.
B
You
good
evening,
I
do
want
to
say
thank
you
to
our
admin
team
over
at
Colombia
I
know
when
we
set
out
to
put
new
admin
in
there.
We
were
admin
that
we
wanted,
something
strong
that
cared
about
the
kids
and
that's
clear
to
tonight,
as
we
heard
from
our
young
leaders
from
Colombia.
Also
parents
Guardians.
Thank
you
so
much
for
bringing
them,
and
thank
you
for
speaking
to
us
tonight.
B
D
Safe
I
concur
with
all
my
fellow
trustees.
I
do
want
to
say.
Thank
you.
Thank
you.
Thank
you.
Thank
you
to
the
admin
over
at
Colombia
and
97%
for
attendance.
That
is
wonderful,
wonderful!
You
have
to
be
there
in
order
to
be
able
to
learn,
you
have
to
be
there
to
the
students.
I
get
nervous
every
time.
I
come
up
here,
every
time,
I'm
going
to
miss
something
and
I.
Tell
myself
it's:
okay,
it's
okay!
For
you
guys
to
come
here
without
a
script.
Just
come
and
talk.
Talk
from
your
heart!
D
I
want
you
to
know
how
much
I
appreciate
you
guys
for
taking
the
time
to
come
and
your
parents
to
take
the
time
to
bring
you.
We
need
our
parents
to
participate.
We
need
our
parents
to
show
their
support
for
their
children
and
we
thank
you.
I
also
wanted
to
say
that
there
are
some
good
teachers
at
Colombia.
Whenever
I
visited,
Colombia
I've
gone
into
some
classrooms,
there's
a
science
classroom,
someplace
I,
don't
know
the
young
lady's
name
and
when
I
go
in
there,
I
feel
like
I,
am
out
of
this
world
someplace
else.
D
Everything
is
lit
up.
There's
things
all
on
the
walls.
You
know
the
children
are
engaged,
there's
other
classrooms
that
I
go
in
that
have
paintings
that
have
all
kinds
of
things.
There
are
some
wonderful
teachers
at
Colombia
and
I
am
so
happy
that
we
have
parents.
We
have
children,
we
have
students,
we
have
administrators
that
are
showing
what
can
come.
What
can
come
of
Colombia
and
I
appreciate
it?
Thank
you.
Okay.
Okay,
moving
right
along
to
section
six
close
session
declarations,
we'll
be
taking
items
6.02
and
6.03
into
a
close
session.
D
Session
the
public
comment

is
administrated
by
state

and
is
the

their

with
the

the
meeting
is
called
to

Public
comments
will
only
be
taken
on

during
the

of
those

D
The
board
values
public

and
although
the
Board
of

cannot
take
action
or
discuss
items
not
on
the
agenda,
the
Board
of

listen
carefully
and
appreciate

from
the

Additionally,
a

be

the

or
for
willfully,
causing
an
actual

removing
someone.
The
board
will
give
at
least
one
clear

if
you
were
cut

or
warned
last

D
Please
consider
that
your

or
decrease
the

for
public

depending
on
the
topic
and
the
number
of
persons
wishing
to

D
L
L
Association
wow
I
can't
believe
that
we're
already
in
September
that
we've
already
been
in
session
over
over
a
month,
but
it's
exciting
and
it
was
exciting
to
watch
the
number
of
employees
come
up
and
receive
their
10-year
Awards.
Tonight.
It's
just
a
testament
that
we
have
a
lot
of
people
that
really
appreciate
and
want
to
work
here
in
the
atlanto
school.
L
District
I
would
like
to
acknowledge
and
thank
Mr
Krauss
and
Dr
Doan
since
the
beginning
of
the
year.
I
know
that
we've
had
a
number
of
concerns.
Maybe
complaints,
maybe
challenges,
and
we
you
have
come
to
the
Forefront
and
you've
assisted
with
really
getting
these
resolved.
Most
most
issues
have
been
resolved,
and-
and
thank
you
thank
you
for
doing
that.
We
appreciate
it
tomorrow
evening
ad
is
hosting
Brooks
a
he's,
a
principal
he's,
a
comedian.
L
He
is
someone
who
will
bring
an
evening
of
lightness
to
our
community
and
he
will
be
presenting
over
at
Melva
Davis
from
5:
to
7
pm
and
prior
to
that
food
trucks
will
be
available
in
the
Melva
Davis
Quad
beginning
at
4M,
and
we
would
really
love
to
see
all
of
you
attending
this
evening.
I
mean
all
of
you
that
are
here
and
everybody
out
here,
our
community
members.
L
It
will
be
great
and
I
want
to,
and
I
want
to
back
up
because
I
just
realized
I
said
I
addressed
the
trustees,
but
I
didn't
include
Mr
Krauss
and
Dr
Doon
and
I
want
to
make
sure
that
you
were
included.
So
it
attests
to
the
fact
just
like
truste
love,
French,
our
president
said
you
come
up
to
the
podium
and
it's
nerve-wracking
you
know,
so
you
don't
always
think
of
everything,
but
I
apologize
for
that
Miss
Miss
step
there.
Overall,
we
are
happy,
you
know
we're
happy.
L
Almost
there
are
a
couple
things
that
have
ruffled
a
few
feathers
and
got
a
a
few
teachers
upset
one
of
them.
We
went
I.
Think
a
number
of
schools
went
about
over
a
week,
maybe
a
week
and
a
half
without
toner
cartridges
and
copers
available
because
I
don't
know,
Xerox
must
have
been
holding
us
hostage,
but
the
the
complaints,
the
calls
the
tax,
the
the
teachers
just
venting
on
Facebook,
and
you
know
all
over
social
media
that
they
were
upset.
L
They
couldn't
make
their
copies
and
so
I'm
hoping
I,
know
I
know.
There's
a
there
is
a
an
answer.
There
is
a
logical
explanation
for
what
happened.
I,
don't
know
exactly
what
it
is,
but
all
the
teachers
hope
is
that
we
can
correct
that
in
the
future
and
ensure
that
there
is
enough
toner
and
copy
paper,
and
things
like
that
on.
L
Hand
yesterday
I
believe
we
received,
we
received
a
notice
in
our
email
about
active
shooter
training
and
again
some
some
of
our
some
of
our
safety
team.
L
Every
School
site
has
a
has
a
safety
team
and
some
of
them
have
been
reaching
out
and
asking.
Why
is
the
active,
shooter
training
being
scheduled
during
our
fall
break?
I
said
well,
I'll
ask
I'll
see
if
it
can
be
rescheduled,
but
it
is
a
concern
that
the
actor
shooter
training
is
scheduled
for
Monday,
Monday,
October
9th,
and
we
go
on
break
on
Friday
October
6th.
So
we
finish
our
day
on
on
Friday
and
the
active
shooter
training
is
scheduled
for
Monday
and
many
teachers.
L
Many
safety
teams
would
like
to
be
able
to
attend,
but
at
this
late
notice
most
people
already
have
plans
for
their
fall
break
and
so
we're
hoping
Mr
Krauss.
You
might
be
able
to
consider
being
able
to
have
that
rescheduled
at
a
later
time,
so
that,
as
many
of
our
district
teachers
and
classified
staff
can.
L
Attend
we
had,
we
heard
about
parent
engagement
and
I
just
want
to,
on
a
on
a
side.
Note
thank
Dr,
AOA
and
Mrs
Isel
Chavez,
who
have
been
very
instrumental
in
making
sure
that
our
adult
ESL
program
has
everything
that
it
needs
and
we
are
bringing
our
parents
out
in
force
over
at
Morgan
cancade.
We
have
every
Monday
and
Thursday
evening
between
25
20
and
25
parents
that
come
out,
babysitters
been
provided
and
the
parents
are
just
absolutely
thrilled
that
they
can
bring
their
children.
L
The
children
are,
you
know,
playing
games
and
they're
they're,
just
maybe
working
on
homework.
It's
been
a
a
very,
very
wonderful
environment
for
them,
and
the
program
is,
is
off
I.
Would
you
know
the
parents
that
are
coming
just
lovely
wonderful,
really
want
to
be.
There
really
want
to
learn
English,
and
sometimes
some
of
my
colleagues
even
at
the
school.
How
do
you
manage
to
toh
continue
on
until
like
8:30
at
night
and
I
said?
Well,
these
these
parents
are
coming
and
they
just
want
to
learn.
L
There
are
no
discipline
issues.
There
are
no
nothing
that
we
have
to
worry
about.
They
just
want
to
learn
and-
and
it's
a
joy,
it's
a
joy
and
I
know
that
across
the
district,
everything
we
do
for
our
parents
is
so
truly.
L
Appreciated
finally,
I
would
like
to
close
with
cultivating
creative
kindness.
You
know
this
has
been
a
wonderful
mantra
that
we
have
put
into
place
this
year,
but
I
just
want
to
share
that
our
five-year-olds
at
least
some
of
them
have
have
decided
that
instead
of
pulling
somebody's
hair
or
doing
something
that
might
be
considered,
naughty
they've
decided
to
kiss
and
so
I
had
a
little
girl
just
the
other
day,
and
she
came
to
me
and
she
said
Mr
Han.
He
he
kissed
me
and
I
said
well.
L
L
You
know
just
reinforce
the
fact
that
we
want
to
continue
cultivating
creative
kindness
throughout
our
our
district,
but
the
kissing
needs
to
stay
at
home,
but
it
is
you
know
it's
it's
better
than
it's
better
than
hitting
or
pushing
or
shoving,
but
I
just
wanted
to
share
that.
On
a
lighter
side
overall
overall
I
do
want
to
insincerity.
I
do
want
to
say
that
teachers
are
happy
for
the
most
part.
Teachers
are
happy.
L
They
do
know
that
Dr
Doan,
you
are,
you
are
making
an
incredible
effort
at
you
know
ensuring
teachers
have
what
they
need:
Mr
Krauss
you're,
insuring
everything
our
Board
of
Trustees.
We
thank
you
for
supporting
all
of
us
and
we
know
that
you're
all
here
for
the
right
reasons
and
you
want
our
children
to
get
the
best
education
possible
and
that's
what
we
plan
to
deliver
this
year
and
every
year
throughout
the
future.
Thank
you.
D
F
A
No
I'm
not
prepared
for
that
I'm.
Sorry,
okay,
good
evening,
U
Madame,
President,
LEF,
French
trustees
and
trustees,
superintendent,
CR
cabinet,
classified
staff,
certificated
staff
and
all
others
present
or
on
Zoom.
First
of
all,
I
want
to
acknowledge
our
dedicated
employees
who
completed
our
10
years.
That's
fantastic,
so
we
do
have
lots
of
dedicated
employees
throughout
our
district.
We
started
negotiations
with
a
few
hiccups.
A
2122,
we
also
have
some
issues
with
our
bus
drivers
regarding
our
new
hires
and
their
compensation.
We
have
our
dedicated
bus
drivers,
who
have
been
here
for
10,
15,
20,
25
and
30
years,
and
for
some
reason
that
I
don't
understand
or
we're
bringing
in
our
new
bus
drivers
at
like
a
step.
Three
and
our
top
bus
driver
is
only
at
a
step,
five,
so
I'm,
hoping
that
we
can
clear
this
up
through
negotiations,
because
there
seems
to
be
a
huge
discrepancy.
A
Let's
see
and
with
this
delay,
I
call
it
a
delay
because
we
did
start
off
a
little
earlier
a
month
earlier,
but
we're
still
going
working
on
the
past,
so
I'm
hoping
we
get
all
this
resolved
so
that
we
can
start
2324.
Let's
see
also
it's
hard
to
say
this,
but
I'm
going
to
say
it.
A
Our
leadership
is
lacking
at
Mesa,
Linda,
Middle
School,
due
to
not
having
a
principal,
and
you
saw
all
of
the
great
things
that
CMS
is
doing
and
I
think
we
can
do
that
as
well
at
Mesa,
Linda,
Middle
School,
but
without
the
top
leader,
not
being
there
it's
very
difficult.
Let's
see,
it
was
suggested
that
we
would
have
another
clerk
at
our
middle
schools.
However,
it
hasn't
happened.
Our
clerks
and
secretaries
at
these
two
schools
are.
A
I,
don't
know
if
you
realize,
but
just
for
attendance
alone,
our
other
schools.
We
only
do
it
once
our
attendance
clerks
at
our
M
middle
schools
have
to
do
it
every
single
period.
Okay,
on
top
of
that
they're
doing
lots
of
discipline,
hopefully
at
CMS
it
won't
be
as
bad
as
it
has
been
in
the
past,
but
I
know
at
Mesa,
Linda,
Middle
School.
A
It's
it's
a
huge
huge
job
to
keep
up
with
everything,
so
I'm,
hoping
that
the
prfs
are
approved
and
that
we
do
get
more
help
in
those,
especially
those
two
two
schools,
it's
very
important
and
once
again,
I
want
to
mention
our
request
for
our
job
description
and
compensation
study
for
our
dedicated
classified
employees.
A
We
haven't
had
one
since
2008
and
again,
we
all
know
what's
happened
since
then,
I'm
looking
forward
for
tomorrow
tomorrow,
night
I
will
be
at
the
comedy
show
that
was
hosted
by
ad,
because
I
need
to
laugh
need
to
laugh
my
buns
off
literally.
So
thank
you
so
much
and
have
a
great
evening
and
thank
you
for
allowing
me
to
speak
tonight.
Thank
you
very.

we'd
like
to
see
if
Miss,

Mr

have
any
additional
comments
this
evening
all
right.
Thank
you
very
much
or
I'm.
Sorry,
madam
president,.
F
Okay,
Madam
President.
We
do
have
a
member
of
the
public
that
wishes
to
address
the
board
this
evening
and
we'd
like
to
call
Miss
Rey
is
up
to
the
podium
to
speak
to
us
about
Transportation
concern.
E

D
Drivers
are
been

which
is

excuse
me,
which
is
equal
to
the
amount
I
am
currently
earning
and
I've
been
driving
16
years.
We
fully
understand
that
we
did
sign
the
agreement
between
the
union
and
the
district,
but
at
the
time
we
were
not
aware
how
this
was
going
to
affect
all
of
us.
Thank
you.
Thank.
D
F
Yes,
madame
president
evening,
as
we
have
to
do
every
year
in
the
within
the
first
eight
weeks
of
school,
we
have
to
hold
a
public
hearing
on
the
sufficiency
of
instruction
materials
in
all
of
our
classrooms,
and
so
this
evening
we
have
a
public
hearing
on
1201
and
then
later
on,
we
will
have
a
approval
item
for
the
sufficiency
of
instructional
materials.
But
at
this
time
we'd
like
to
open,
have
you
open
up
the
public
hearing
for
this.

Discussion
well,
I'm
sure
that
a
after
the

we're
all
pleased,
because
we
real
really
are
impressed
with
all
all
of
our

I
say
us,
but
I
speak
for
myself,
but
I
think
the
board
would
agree
that
we,
we
are
excit
cited
in
the
direction
that
that
our
this

is

it's

important
that
you

that

are
not

at

at

at

the

I
did
go
to
a

and
I.
Think
we
we
got
quite
quite
a
bit
bit
done.
I
mean
the
fact
that
we
work
well
together.
I
think
speaks
a
lot
and
it's
been
said.
You
know
that
we
we

for

that
that
they,
they
do
I

to

at

because
I
got
my

I'm
there
with
Belle

on
and
I
hope.
You
all
have
a
good
night.
J
I
just
wanted
to
good
evening.
Everyone
thanks
for
being
here
tonight,
I
also
wanted
to
Echo
trusty
B
on
our
trip.
J
We
went
on
a
workshop
over
the
weekend
and
I
just
want
to
express
my
gratitude
to
my
colleagues
being
able
to
get
to
know
you
all
oneon-one
and
spending
more
time
with
the
board
has
been
important
for
me
to
really
get
to
know
and
work
with
the
board
as
well,
and
my
colleagues
being
a
new
trustee
I
feel
that's
important,
so
I'm
very
grateful
for,
for
all
of
you,
I'm
grateful
for
the
trip
and,
lastly,
I
wanted
to
shout
out
quickly.
J
Mr
Cross
I
did
have
a
district
vehicle
over
the
weekend.
I
had
to
return
it
over
the
weekend.
So
obviously
the
district
office
was
closed.
So
I
had
to
give
him
a
call.
I
felt
a
little
bit
bad.
It
was
on
a
Sunday
and
he
came
on
and
he
he
put
He
I
got
my
car
back,
so
I
just
wanted
to
shout
you
out,
Mr
Cross!
Thank
you
for
that
and
I'm
sorry,
I
called
you
on
a
Sunday.
B
That's
the
Le
of
the
board
alrighty
good
evening,
a
SD
friends
and
family
I
do
want
to
take
the
moment.
I
know
at
our
last
board
meeting
I
was
a
little
scatterbrained
came
here
right
after
work
and
didn't
get
to
write.
My
speech
so
I
do
want
to
take
a
moment
today
and
highlight
ad,
as
I
did
get
some
beautiful
birthday
presents
from
ad
I.
Very
much
appreciated
it,
and
I
do
want
to
do
a
special
shout
out
to
our
VP
Brian
Han
for
facilitating
the
delivery
of
those
as
well.
B
Thank
you
so
much
I
really
appreciated.
They
were
beautiful
flowers
and
amazing
chocolates.
So
thank
you
on
that.
I
do
want
to
take
a
moment
and
make
a
comment
on
the
amount
of
field
trips
that
we
saw
on
tonight's
agenda.
You
know,
we've
said
it
many
times
in
the
past,
and
I
will
reiterate
it
getting
our
students
out
getting
them
seeing
new
places.
Getting
them
off.
This
hill
is
so
essential
to
the
social,
emotional
learning.
B
So
I
am
very
happy
to
see
not
just
one
or
two
schools,
but
many
schools
with
these
field
trips
in
I
do
want
to
take
a
special
recognition
to
all
of
our
schools
for
our
PBIS
Awards.
You
know
it
takes
a
lot
of
work,
a
lot
of
dedication.
It's
not
just
your
site
admin,
it's
not
just
your
teachers,
it's
everybody
who
puts
together
those
PB
is
platforms
for
our
schools.
I
do
want
to
take
a
special
moment
and
say
thank
you
to
all
of
our
10year
employees.
B
That
is
such
a
dedication
and,
quite
frankly,
it's
it's.
What
builds
our
village
it's?
What
makes
our
family
whole
and
last
but
not
least,
I,
do
have
to
take
a
moment
and
appreciate
the
person
who
somehow
manages
to
manage
us
Z
aenna
La.
Thank
you
so
much
for
everything
you
do
what
you
bring
to
this
table
and
everything
you
help
with.
Thank
you
so
much
with
that
being
said,
I
will
close
my
remarks
tonight
say
everybody
to
drive
safely
and
have
a
good.
D
Night:
okay,
thank
you
so
hard
to
come
by
truste
Webster
when
I
have
to
come
behind
her
with
that
excitement
at
9:30
at
night.
You
know
I
apologize.
You
know
for
my
lateness
this
this
afternoon.
I
travel
far
to
get
here,
I
do
concur
with
everything.
So
I
don't
want
to
repeat
what
has
been
said.
I
do
want
to
say
a
special
thank
you
to
our
10year
employees.
We
appreciate
them.
We
appreciate
everything
that
they
bring
to
the
district.
D
We
have
new
employees
coming
on
today
and
we
hope
to
see
you
in
the
next
10
years.
I
hope
to
St,
be
here.
I
want
to
say
thank
you
to
Z,
because
Z
is
phenomenal
when
it
comes
to
having
to
navigate
between
this
district
and
the
people
on
this
side,
especially
right
here
in
this
corner
about
four
of
us.
She,
with
late
orders
with
this
with
that
you
know,
having
to
call
give
reminders.
D
I
lost
my
receipt
where's
this
paper
where's
that
never
talks
above
a
whisper
just
so
kind
and
patient
with
us
and
I
have
learned
so
much
from
Z
I
have
and
I.
Thank
you
for
all
that.
You
do
personally
on
the
job
everything
that
she
is
just
a
sounding
board.
She
is
so
special
to
have
I
greatly
appreciate
her
almost
cried
okay.
So
my
next
thing
that
I
wanted
to
talk
about
is
on
one
of
the
the
field
trips
that
we
have.
D
It
is
a
field
trip
for
our
students
to
go
to
the
SOI,
a
stadium
down
there
in
Englewood
I,
wanted
to
say
when
I
saw
that
I
was
like
I
haven't
even
been
there.
I
think
that
it
is
so
wonderful
for
them
to
be
able
to
go
and
have
that
experience
and
I
always
say
when
I
first
moved
up
here.
For
some
strange
reason,
we
always
say
down
the
hill
down
the
mountain
down
the
hill
and
I
say
well.
What
does
that
actually
mean
right?
D
I
didn't
really
know
what
the
kahol
pass
was
per
se,
but
to
be
able
to
leave
this
mountain
right
and
go
down
the
hill
for
a
lot
of
our
parents
and
our
students,
they
don't
have
cars
to
go
down
there.
They
spend
all
of
their
time
up
here.
They
don't
know
what
the
beach
looks
like.
They
don't
know
where
just
regular,
you
know
different
museums,
their
exposure.
When
I
looked
at
the
field
trips
for
our
little
ones,
I
said
wow.
D
You
know
this
will
be
the
first
time
that
they
get
to
go
some
places
even
overnight,
so
I'm
excited
for
them.
I'd
like
to
go
on
that
field.
Trip
I,
don't
know
if
I'm
approved,
but
we'll
see.
Let's
see
one
other
thing.
I
wanted
to
talk
about.
Well,
two
things:
our
pool
will
be
opening
I'm
excited
about
that
I'm
excited
because
it
seems
like
when
I
first
joined.
We
had
a
pool,
and
years
later
we
still
had
our
had
our
pool,
but
I'm
pretty
sure
it's
going
to
look
fabulous
right.
D
Absolutely
the
district
camera
everywhere
in
every
place
you
go,
everybody
has
a
camera.
Everybody
has
this
door
camera
or
this
whatever
that
they
are
at
work
all
over
the
place
where
they
can
just
look
at
their
phone
and
say:
oh
so,
so's
at
the
door.
What
do
you
want
right?
It
will
be
such
a
wonderful
thing
for
the
district
to
be
able
to
open
up
their
cell
phone
and
see
what
is
going
on
at
each
individual
school
as
it's
in
real
time
happening.
D
So
I'm
excited
about
the
cameras,
because
everybody
has
them
I
mean
you.
I
can
even
tell
what
U
my
dog
Breezy
is
doing,
sometimes
right,
whether
or
not
he's
getting
a
treat
he's
walking
around
the
house,
and
he
goes
by
like
Breezy
get
away
from
there
right.
You
can
even
everybody
has
these
and
I'm
excited
that
we
will
start
to
have
things
like
that
at
our
schools.
So,
with
that
being
said,
my
favorite
time
I'm
playing
pinkle
okay,
moving
on
to
section
19
adjournment,
can
I
get
a
motion.
