It's
just
a
short
time
ago
that
school
got
started
and
we
were
excited
that
see
all
of
our
students
back
and
teachers
and
staff
and
I'll
have
a
few
announcements
and
I'll
turn
it
over
to
Dr
twizon
but
I
wanted
to
say,
I
had
the
privilege
of
joining
several
back
to
school
nights
this
past
month,
and
we
have
some
more
coming
up
this
Thursday
night.
F
So
we're
always
excited
to
see
our
families
come
out
to
our
back
to
school
nights
when
we
have
them
and
and
the
students
get
to
show
off
their
classrooms
and
teachers
get
to
show
off
the
work
that
they're
doing
in
our
and
all
of
our
great
work.
That's
going
on
so
I
was
excited
to
be
able
to
do
that.
We
do
have
a
holiday
weekend
coming
up
so
Monday
there's
just
a
reminder:
there
will
be
no
school.
So
please
make
sure
to
make
a
note
of
that.
F
If
you
come,
there
will
be
nobody
here,
hopefully
at
our
school
sites,
but
that's
coming
up
and
then
before
the
next
board.
Meeting
on
September
12th,
Adelanto,
Elementary
School
always
puts
on
a
great
presentation
for
September
11th,
and
they
will
be
doing
that
again
this
year
and
I
want
to
thank
principal
Rizzo
and
his
team
for
putting
that
on
again
we're
looking
forward
to
that
coming
up
on
September
11th
at
Adelanto
elementary
school,
so
always
exciting
time
over.
There.
I
also
wanted
to
take
a
moment
to
thank
our
m
o
team.
F
They
have
been
working
diligently
at
one
of
our
sites.
There
are
several
sites
that
are
in
the
queue
to
have
carpet
replaced
and
one
of
the
ones
they
were
able
to
get
at
this
past
week
was
starting
work
at
Mesa
Linda.
So
I
want
to
thank
our
m
o
team,
Richard
and
Brandon,
and
all
the
team
members
out
in
mno
to
help
get
that
going
out
at
Mesa,
Linda
and
some
of
the
Portables.
F
So
we
were
excited
about
that
and
then
this
evening,
also
on
the
agenda
that
we're
excited
to
be
able
to
Sunshine
for
adta
our
Teachers
Association
and
then
CSA
our
classified
Association.
So
we're
looking
forward
to
getting
negotiations
underway
with
that
this
evening
and,
as
you
know,
with
HR,
currently
I
oversee
the
classified
Human
Resources
side
of
the
house
and
Dr
Dwight's
on
the
certificated.
F
So
just
a
quick
update
on
the
classified
side
for
human
resources,
so
51
volunteers
have
been
approved
for
the
23-24
school
year
so
far
and
we
will
have
more
on
the
agenda
every
time
you
get
the
agenda,
it's
exciting,
to
see
our
parents
being
more
and
more
involved
and
engaged
with
our
School
site.
So
we're
excited
about
that.
F
They
actually
go
through
the
HR
department
to
get
vetted
and
fingerprinted
and
they
can't
just
sign
up
and
say:
I
want
to
be
a
volunteer,
so
there's
a
training
they
got
to
go
through
and
we're
very
proud
of
our
volunteer
staff
that
always
come
over
and
help
out
at
our
school
sites.
We
conducted
five
interviews
since
the
last
board
meeting
for
various
positions.
We
also
conducted
several
testing
sessions,
including
for
payroll
Tech
and
database
program
analysts.
So
we
continue
to
test
for
vacant
positions
and
encourage
people
to
apply
on
Ed
joint.
F
We
also
conducted
testing
sessions
for
substitute
positions,
we're
always
in
need
of
substitute
so
including
clerical,
paraprofessional,
campus
security,
Food
Service
workers,
custodians
and
Paras,
and
so
we've
been
doing
a
lot
of
that
in
the
classified
HR
department
and
then
a
risk
management
department
under
the
direction
of
Melanie
Olson
Zavala.
She
is
preparing
for
the
great
ShakeOut
which
comes
out
in
October
every
year.
F
We
do
an
earthquake
drill
and
I
think
we
just
had
an
earthquake
recently
a
couple
days
ago,
somewhere
down
in
La,
so
they're
still
out
there
we're
in
California
where
we're
on
earthquake
Central.
So
that's
always
good
to
be
prepared
for
that
and
then
October
9th.
We
have
our
second
active
shooter
training
schedule
for
October
9th,
more
information
to
follow
on
that,
but
we
had
one
last
spring
and
so
again
we're
going
to
look
at
scheduling
another
one.
It's
always
good
to
be
prepared
for
that.
G
Foreign
good
evening,
president
love
French
Board
of
Trustees
superintendent,
Krause
and
our
aesd
staff
families
and
community
and
I'm
happy
to
share
a
few
updates
from
our
academic,
Services
team
and
certificate
at
HR.
So
yesterday
we
held
our
orientation
meeting
for
the
comprehensive
instructional
guides
yesterday
to
kick
off
our
future
work
to
improve,
enhance
and
upkeep
all
teachers
will
be
able
to
provide
quarterly
up
surveys
to
help
make
them
stronger
in
input
into
those
guides.
G
I'd
like
to
provide
a
quick
update
on
our
Chromebooks
So.
Currently
there
are
enough
Chromebooks
for
one
to
one
district-wide.
In
fact,
over
the
amount
we
are
currently
working
on
adding
charging
stations
for
our
classrooms
because
we
are
building
to
a
two
to
one,
which
means
that
students
would
always
have
one
available
in
the
classroom
and
then
be
able
to
check
out
for
home
use
for
homework
research
for
the
year.
G
So
we've
completed
over
the
summer,
a
district-wide
inventory
I'd
like
to
thank
Our
IT
team
Anthony
and
his
team
for
their
work
over
the
summer
to
get
an
accurate
account
see
what
was
good,
which
Chromebooks
need
to
be
replaced.
So
we
look
forward
to
sharing
those
updates
with
you
on
the
board
and
the
community
monthly
on
our
progress.
G
Currently
we're
working
with
our
local
selpa
for
SASE
implementation
says
replaces
web
IEP,
which
is
our
IEP
database.
This
is
where
we
hold
and
house
all
of
our
IEPs,
so
the
self
is
currently
switching
from
web
IEP
to
SASE
and
so
we're
waiting.
We've
had
some
trainings,
though
so
far,
and
we're
awaiting
the
next
phase
from
ourselfa.
So
we'll
keep
you
updated
on
that
implementation.
I
know
our
teachers
are
waiting
for
that.
G
We
held
our
first
sight
leadership
meeting
last
week,
where
we
deeply
explored
multi-tiered
systems
of
support,
we're
looking
at
what
each
site
offers
and
as
a
district,
what
additional
resources
are
needed
to
support
every
student
in
our
district
academically,
behaviorally
and
social
emotionally.
This
is
going
to
be
the
launch
of
our
plan
for
our
learning
recovery
block
grant
funds.
We
look
forward
to
bringing
this
plan
in
its
completion
at
an
upcoming
board
meeting
for
review
and
approval
inclusive
of
stakeholder
input.
G
So
another
plan
that
we're
working
on
bringing
to
the
board
is
our
elap
or
our
expanded
learning
opportunity,
program,
Grant,
and
this
helps
to
support
summer
Richmond,
camp
and
after
school
activities
for
students.
So
elop
also
requires
us
to
provide
a
minimum
of
an
additional
30
days
beyond
the
school
year,
and
so
that
looks
like
so
summer.
School
is
part
of
that
that
takes
up
about
20
days
and
then
we're
also
looking
at
tutoring
intercession.
What
are
those
extra
additional
things
that
our
students
need
to
be
successful
in
school?
G
So
we
look
forward
to
bringing
you
that
plan.
September
is
attendance
awareness
month,
so
please
look
for
Flyers
parent
Square
messages
and
reminders
for
our
students
and
families
about
the
importance
of
attending
school
daily.
So
we
are
constantly
working
on
attendance
to
increase
those
attendance
rates.
We
are
finalizing
our
school
plan
or
our
sip
says,
and
those
will
be
presented
to
the
board
at
the
next
board
meeting
on
September
12th,
so
we're
excited
about
the
work
put
into
those
our
initial
lpac
testing.
G
That's
Alpac
is
for
our
English
learner
students
we're
about
95
completed,
and
so
we
anticipate
everyone
being
done
by
September
5th
this
week.
We're
also
wrapping
up
our
Williams
walkthroughs
for
the
month
of
August,
so
huge
shout
out
to
our
in
the
no
team,
I
see
Brandon
out
here,
Richard
and
all
of
our
schools,
teachers
principals.
G
To
so
far,
we've
passed
every
single
one
and
I
don't
anticipate
not
passing
any.
So
we
will
be
bringing
forth
the
annual
materials
and
sufficiency
notice
to
the
next
board
meeting
now
for
a
certificated
HR
in
which
I'm
happy
to
be
supporting
at
this
time.
So
they've
completed
staff
meetings
with
all
administrators
and
classrooms,
balancing
to
ensure
that
all
schools
are
adequately
staffed
and
don't
have
any
overages
of
students.
They've
attended
the
23-24
induction
orientation.
G
Currently
they
are
conducting
the
California
Statewide
assignment
accountability,
system
audit
and
then
that's
a
new
system
which
allows
annual
monitoring
of
all
certificated
educator
assignments,
so
we're
making
sure
to
stay
up
to
date
and
I
do
think
the
team
edaddy
just
a
big
help
in
helping
me
to
stay
organized
to
support
them
better.
So
at
this
time.
That
concludes
all
the
updates
for
academic
services
and
certificate
at
HR.
Thank
you.
Mr
Krause.
F
Thank
you,
Dr,
dwyzan
and,
and
now
Madam
president
members
of
the
board.
It
is
with
sadness
that,
like
to
announce
the
passing
of
Victoria
mcgathon,
Victoria
mcgathon
was
hired
in
our
district
on
September
1st
1964.,
she
retired
June
30th
2004,
with
over
40
years
of
service
to
our
district
she's
born
in
Chicago.
F
She
was
married
to
Glenn,
mcgathon
retired
major
in
the
U.S
Air
Force
until
his
passing
in
1998.
during
retirement.
She
enjoyed
traveling
around
the
world
and
she
was
a
volunteer
at
St,
Mary's,
Medical
Center
and
worked
in
the
gift
shop
in
August
of
2005.
The
new
elementary
school
was
named
in
her
honor
and
at
this
time
we
remember
her
and
we
are
sending
our
condolences
to
her
and
her
family,
her
family
at
Victoria,
mcgathon,
Elementary,
School,
principal
verdusco,
and
the
team
over
there.
F
Again,
our
condolences
for
the
loss
of
the
the
namesake
of
the
school
and
I
want
to
thank
Lori
McMillan
for
providing
this
information
to
us,
the
history
of
Miss,
Victoria
mcgathon,
and
with
that,
if
you'd,
like
Madam
president,
perhaps
a
moment
of
silence.
D
D
F
Yes,
thank
you,
madam
president,
this
evening,
Dr
dwison,
we'll
briefly
update
us
on
our
William,
see.
We
were
just
talking
about
how
great
A
Williams
Williams
reports
were
getting
this
year,
several
schools
received
a
hundred
percent
on
their
inspections,
which
is
just
almost
unheard
of,
but
thanks
to
Richard
and
and
Brandon,
the
mno
team,
but
Dr
Wise
is
going
to
give
us
an
update
on
some
prior
Williams
inspections.
G
All
right,
thank
you
so
much
so
this
Williams
uniform
complaint.
This
is
for
quarter
four,
so
the
end
of
22-23,
so
Ed
quote,
requires
districts
to
report
data
on
the
nature
and
resolution
of
all
complaints
on
a
quarterly
basis
to
the
county,
superintendent
of
schools
and
the
governing
board
of
the
school
district,
so
complaints
that
we
receive
in
instructional
materials
facilities
and
teacher
vacancies
and
Miss
assignments
on
this
particular
report.
There
were
no
complaints.
G
So
this
is
William
settlement.
Fourth
quarter
for
the
22-23
school
year.
California
Ed
code
requires
that
the
county
annually
visit
all
Williams,
monitored
schools
and
Report
the
results
of
any
findings
on
a
quarterly
basis.
On
this
fourth
quarter
report,
there
were
no
findings
in
the
areas
of
instructional
materials
facilities
and
for
Teacher
vacancies
or
missed
assignments.
The
reports
were
postponed
in
that
area
due
to
calpad's
issues.
So
at
this
time
there
are
no
findings
for
quarter
four.
A
A
A
A
The
board
values
public
comment
and
although
the
Board
of
Trustees
cannot
take
action,
our
discussions
discuss
items
not
on
the
agenda.
The
Board
of
Trustees
listen
carefully
and
appreciate
input
from
the
public.
Additionally,
a
public
speaker
can
be
cut
off
for
exceeding
the
allotted
time
or
for
willfully,
causing
an
actual
disruption
to
the
meeting
before
cutting
a
person
off
or
removing
someone.
The
board
will
give
at
least
one
clear
warning
if
you
were
cut
off
or
worn
last
time.
A
Please
consider
that
your
warning
individual
speakers
are
allowed
three
minutes
to
address
the
board
on
each
close
session
item
agenda
item
the
board
limits
the
time
for
public
input
on
each
item
to
20
minutes
with
board
consent.
The
president
may
increase
or
decrease
the
time
allowed
for
public
presentations.
Depending
on
the
topic
and
the
number
of
persons
wishing
to
be
heard.
The
president
may
take
a
poll
of
speakers
for
or
against
a
particular
issue
and
may
ask
that
additional
person
speak
only
if
they
have
something
new
to
add
Mr
crosston.
A
We
have
any
speakers
for
adta.
Yes,.
I
I
She
was
a
principal
with
heart.
She
was
much
beloved
by
many
students,
staff
and
parents.
Victoria
mcathan
truly
believed
that
with
education
we
can
make
a
difference.
She
knew
that
just
one
caring
adult
could
change
a
child's
life.
She
dedicated
her
whole
life
to
this
belief
into
changing
the
future
one
child.
At
a
time.
I
One
fond
memory
that
Mrs
Benson
shared
was
that
she
used
to
come
to
a
Veterans
Day
assembly
at
the
Victoria
mcathan
Elementary,
and
talk
to
her
students
about
Mr
mcgathon's
service
in
the
Air
Force,
and
then
she
would
read
the
poem
in
Flanders
Fields.
It
was
always
very
moving.
She
will
be
missed
at
the
last
board
meeting.
There
was
a
Personnel
item
listed,
releasing
principal
Debbie
Bowers
from
her
position,
so
she
could
Advance
her
career
by
taking
a
job
as
principal
for
the
county
sped
classes.
I
This
passed
by
without
even
a
word
about
the
more
than
30
years
she
served
our
district
and
our
students
as
a
teacher
and
then
as
a
reading
specialist
and
finally,
as
a
principal,
it
was
a
sad
oversight
to
let
that
go
without
a
remark.
Debbie
means
so
much
to
so
many
of
us
who
worked
alongside
her.
She
gave
the
bulk
of
her
career
to
Adelanto
and
we
knew
her
to
be
kind
and
caring,
efficient
and
professional,
dedicated
and
sincere,
and
she
always
put
students
in
their
needs.
First,
she
has
so
much
personal
and
professional
Integrity.
I
I
There
is
a
lot
to
cover
again
tonight,
so
I'm
going
to
split
my
apartment
remarks
into
to
save
time,
for
a
major
concern
we
teachers
have
is
the
major
uptick
in
attacks
by
violent
students,
starting
at
the
kindergarten
level,
because
this
is
such
a
strange
phenomenon.
We
haven't
really
addressed
it
in
our
safety
protocols.
It's
outrageous
that
a
student
can
be
allowed
to
terrorize
an
entire
classroom.
Some
of
our
classes
teach
alongside
our
fire
drill
and
earthquake
drill
lessons.
I
The
teachers
teach
a
lesson
on
how
to
protect
yourself
when
Johnny
gets
angry
things
like
curl
into
a
ball
and
protect
your
head.
This
is
literally
necessary
as
a
strategy
in
some
Kindergarten
and
other
grade
levels
classes.
We
have
teachers
being
treated
for
injury
sustained
in
these
rages.
I've
encouraged
teachers
to
file
a
police
reports
immediately
upon
being
assaulted,
but
that
doesn't
solve
the
problem
that
we
have
with
our
kids
so
unable
to
process
their
daily
emotions
that
they
become
violent.
There
is
a
contract
provision,
21.8,
potentially
violent
and
previously
violent
students.
I
Part
A
says
that
the
district
shall
establish
a
system
for
site
administrators
to
inform
the
teacher
of
every
student
who
has
abused,
assaulted
or
battered
another
person,
and
we
haven't
received
this
kind
of
information.
It's
not
in
place
it's
something
that
needs
some
some
work
between
us.
We
can
work
out
a
system
for
this,
but
so
far
it's
not
in
place,
and
we
definitely
need
that
on
day.
One
I
implore
you
to
put
at
least
one
counselor
at
every
school
and
three
or
more
at
the
middle
schools.
I
There
should
be
no
restriction
on
whether
or
when
a
student
can
Avail
themselves
of
the
support
and
when
very
young
children
are
exhibiting
this
degree
of
Rage.
We
need
an
Avenue
to
refer
them
rapidly
for
help.
Our
current
student
study
team
system
for
either
academic
or
behavior
concerns
is
not
built
to
address
this
phenomenon.
I,
don't
know
if
this
might
even
be
an
issue
for
CPS.
I
Why
would
a
child
have
so
much
rage
that
he
or
she
would
throw
chairs
around
punch
and
kick
an
adult
there's
something
more
going
on,
and
it's
our
responsibility
to
help
that
child
and
get
to
the
root
of
the
problem?
We
talk
a
lot
about
Maslow's
hierarchy
of
needs
after
the
bare
minimum
of
physiological
needs,
such
as
food
and
water,
warmth
and
rest.
The
next
one
is
safety.
I
In
my
role
as
Union
president
I
have
numerous
responsibilities.
Our
district
has
grown
from
five
schools
when
I
joined
aesd
to
14
Schools,
plus
a
Virtual,
Academy
and
close
to
400
teachers
before
you
today,
I
think
before
you
today
are
a
couple
of
proposals
for
giving
me
more
release
time
to
better
serve
our
teachers.
This
will
be
something
that
we
can
codify
in
the
contract.
So
it's
not
just
for
me,
but
for
other
presidents
who
come
after
me.
I
spend
many
cumulative
hours
of
time
with
urgent
emails
texts
and
phone
calls.
I
My
primary
duties
would
include,
but
not
be
limited
to
any
aesd
meetings
where
my
presence
is
required.
Such
as
superintendent
meetings,
Human
Resources
meetings
and
academic
Services
meetings,
this
would
be
infinitely
more
convenient
to
the
cabinet
and
Human
Resources
I
would
be
available
and
responsible
to
attend
all
employees
interviews.
All
new
teacher,
inter
orientations,
all
induction
events
and
negotiations.
I
would
work
closely
with
academic
services
to
promote
professional
development
and
training
opportunities
for
teachers.
I
I
would
be
able
to
personally
meet
with
each
new
teacher.
One
of
my
main
reasons
for
a
strong
introduction
is
to
emphasize
teacher
responsibilities,
as
outlined
in
the
contract
being
available
to
teachers
for
contract
support
will
eliminate
misunderstandings
and
clarify
both
the
rights
and
responsibilities
of
teachers.
I
hold
all
bargaining
members
to
a
high
standard
of
professionalism
and
accountability.
I
I
would
be
immediately
available
for
in-person
support
for
crisis
situations
with
teachers,
but,
more
importantly,
my
presence
may
serve
to
reduce
situations
where
teachers
are
in
crisis.
I
could
effectively
serve
as
a
liaison
between
teachers
and
administrators,
eliminating
issues
that
can
be
solved
before
they
become
grievances.
I
will
be
available
to
the
teachers
in
this
district
for
both
contractual
and
non-contractual
eye
issues
and
concerns.
I
An
in-person
conversation
is
far
more
effective
than
an
email,
and
our
schools
deserve
to
have
the
most
effective
communication
between
teachers
and
administration.
That
is
possible.
I
know
this
would
make
for
a
better
melding
of
services
and
workplace
culture,
since
our
middle
schools
need
the
most
support.
I
would
make
it
part
of
my
responsibilities
to
attend
the
middle
school
campuses
and
be
available
to
teachers
as
a
resource
for
guidance.
I
My
vision
is
to
visit
each
Adelanto
campus
bi-weekly
with
extra
time
given
to
Mesa
Linda
and
Colombia
I,
have
administrative
support
for
this
proposal
and
also
the
support
of
leadership
within
our
Union
I
hope.
You'll.
Consider
my
request
in
closing.
I
have
some
really
exciting
news
on
Wednesday
September
13th
we
will
be
hosting
Gary
Brooks
an
internet
sensation.
I
Mrs
yusukevich
has
graciously
agreed
to
let
us
host
Tim
at
Melba
Davis
and
we're
working
on
getting
a
variety
of
food
trucks
out
that
night,
so
people
can
eat
before
the
show
he'll
be
speaking
from
five
to
seven,
so
it
isn't
too
late
for
our
down
the
hill
employees.
We're
opening
up
this
event
to
all
the
district.
The
whole
District
admin
classified
as
well
as
teachers,
and
you
are
welcome
to
him
as
well.
Please
bring
guests.
I
I
Thank
you
for
letting
me
speak
and
thank
you
for
all.
You
do
for
the
district
and
for
considering
all
the
ways
we
can
make
our
district
Better
Together.
Thank
you.
A
A
A
F
I
There
are
a
few
things
concerning
our
teachers
and
also
administrators
I'd
like
to
share
with
you.
One
involves
the
speed
by
which
conferences
and
other
external
training
are
board
approved
when
everything
has
to
go
before
the
board
for
approval.
We
miss
out
on
opportunities.
The
conferences
fill
up
before
we
can
sign
up
or
date
passes
all
together.
If
there
are
agencies
that
we
regularly
contract
with
like
Avid
or
selpa,
those
shouldn't
require
board
approval,
so
we
can
jump
on
the
opportunities.
The
same
goes
for
our
field
trips.
I
There
are
tight
timelines
for
dates
with
or
for
reservations
and
purchase
orders,
not
to
mention
coordinating
dates
with
the
buses
and
waiting
for
our
field
trips
to
be
board
approved
before
moving
forward
is
costing
us
opportunities.
There
is
a
list
of
approved
field
trips.
Those
should
be
automatically
granted
without
having
to
be
on
your
agenda
for
approval.
Our
site.
Principals
deserve
to
have
a
modicum
of
trust
and
Authority
ascribed
to
them
to
make
decisions
about
conferences
and
field
trips.
I
It
will
be,
it
will
minimize
the
bottleneck
of
information
that
has
to
be
funneled
through
Mr
Krause
and
you
the
board,
with
the
heavy
rains.
Last
week,
a
couple
of
classrooms
were
flooded
and
had
to
be
relocated.
Those
teachers
were
given
one
day
to
move
into
and
set
up
a
whole
new
classroom.
We
thought
that
was
unreasonable.
I
It's
bad
enough
to
have
to
relocate
after
only
a
couple
weeks
into
the
school
year,
but
teachers
should
be
provided
with
more
time
to
set
up
the
environment
with
our
that
our
students
deserve,
even
if
it
is
a
temporary
situation
tonight,
I
wanted
to
share
with
you
a
portion
of
cta's
code
of
ethics
for
educators.
This
is
the
preamble,
the
educator
believing
in
the
worth
and
dignity
of
each
human
being
recognizes
the
Supreme
importance
of
the
pursuit
of
time.
I'm.
Sorry,
pardon
me
Pursuit,
Of,
Truth,
Devotion
to
Excellence
and
the
nurture
of
democratic
principles.
I
The
educator
recognizes
the
magnitude
of
the
responsibility
inherent
in
the
teaching
process.
The
desire
for
the
respect
and
confidence
of
one's
colleagues
of
students,
of
parents
and
of
the
members
of
the
community
provides
the
incentive
to
attain
and
maintain
the
highest
possible
degree
of
ethical
conduct.
The
code
of
ethics
is
the
educate
of
the
education
profession
indicates
the
aspiration
of
all
Educators
and
provides
standards
by
which
to
judge
conduct.
I
It
is
our
responsibility
as
a
school
district
to
create
the
environment
where
teachers
can
teach
and
students
can
learn
period,
sounds
pretty
simple.
Everything
should
be
held
up
to
that
very
simple
standard.
A
teacher
needs
to
be
able
to
do
his
or
her
job
without
constant
interruptions
and
interference.
Students
deserve
to
have
an
environment
conducive
to
learning,
which
is
their
job.
All
other
considerations
are
details.
I
I
would
like
to
thank
the
teachers
who
worked
on
the
siggs
curriculum
planning
guides.
I
am
hearing
nothing
but
rave
reviews
that
it
has
simplified
and
streamlined
the
planning
process,
and
we
are
really
utilizing
our
Publishers
as
resource
for
teaching
standard.
The
standards
I
am
seriously
impressed
with
how
effective
these
sigs
are,
and
I
can't
wait
to
see
the
proof
of
that
efficiency
as
it
relates
to
student
achievement.
I
Secondly,
when
parents
have
used
parent
Square,
their
message
comes
to
us
with
only
their
name,
not
the
student's
name.
This
is
a
huge
problem.
I
need
to
know
the
name
of
the
student,
more
than
I
need
to
know.
The
name
of
the
parent
I
personally
have
found
it
difficult
to
manage,
with
District
messages
and
school
messages
being
mixed
in
with
my
messages
for
parents,
it's
definitely
not
user
friendly
and
it's
something
that
would
literally
require
an
in-service
of
training
for
teachers
to
use
and
parents
will
not
take
the
time
to
be
trained
on
it.
G
F
F
Yes,
thank
you
this
evening.
Madam
president,
the
next
few
items
deal
with
the
public
hearing,
which
is
required
by
law
to
Sunshine
proposals.
The
first
set
will
be
between
the
district
and
the
adta,
and
then
the
second
set
you
see
there
very
similar
will
be
between
the
district
and
CSEA,
and
so
we
would
open
up
the
public
hearing.
Listen
for
any
comments.
If
there
are
no
comments,
then
we
close
the
public
hearing
and
then
in
the
next
item
1102.
F
The
the
board
would
make
a
motion
to
accept
the
sunshine
proposals,
the
same
thing
for
1104
with
CSEA.
So
we're
excited
this
evening
to
bring
this
before
the
board
to
start
the
negotiations
process
for
the
23-24
school
year.
A

A
A
French
Eye
motion
pass
5-0.
Moving
on
to
14
items
removed
from
the
consent
agenda
agenda
can
I
get
a
motion
to
approve
13.34.
E
I
pulled
this
item
tonight
because
I
wanted
to
take
a
moment
to
recognize
Miss
rude.
She
played
a
critical
role
when
I
was
in
eighth
grade.
She
was
always
the
smiling
face
that
I
saw
when
I
walked
into
our
office.
She
was
always
the
one
that
you
would
turn
your
attendance
sheets
into
and
if
there
was
a
problem
on
campus
and
you
were
directed
to
take
the
student
to
the
office,
she
was
the
one
he
made
contact
with.
E
You
know
I'm
sad
to
see
her
leave
as
there
will
be
many
of
students
that
miss
out
on
her
presence,
her
bubbly
face
and
her
beautiful
smile,
so
I
do
want
to
say
thank
you
again.
Miss
root
for
your
dedication
to
ADT
or
Adelanto
Elementary,
School,
District
and
I.
Do
wish
you
best
of
luck
on
your
retirement.
E
J
It
I
would
like
to
share
that
she's
always
been
nice
to
to
me
and
the
past
two
or
three
years
I've
been
to
the
the
Elmer
Mirage
per
emotions
and
the
kids
always
thank
her.
They
always
touch
on
her
like
she
is
like
the
corn,
Cornerstone
of
of
the
school
and
her
dead.
Dedication
to
all
the
student
students
shines
in
just
the
way
she
talks
the
way
she
moves
and
all
things
and
I
just
want
to
wish
her.
The
best
and
I
want
to
thank
thank
her
for
all
she
she's
done.
K
Yeah,
this
isn't
a
sad
one
for
me
when
I
heard
that
she
was
retiring,
I
heard
that
at
the
breakfast,
the
back
to
school,
breakfast
and
I
was
really
shocked
and
I
just
would
like
to
say
that
you
know
she
has
been
around
for
a
very
long
time.
She
was
at
Mesa
Linda
when
my
son
was
a
student
at
Mesa.
Linda
she's
always
been
kind
that
went
out
of
her
way
to
protect
children,
never
heard
anything,
no
negative
talk
from
her,
and
this
is
a
sad
time.
K
A
Well,
as
I
say
always
I
wish
that
it
was
me
and
I
know
that
my
time
will
come.
Please
enjoy
your
retirement
to
the
fullest.
I
have
not
had
a
chance
to
meet
you,
but
I've
heard
so
many
wonderful,
wonderful
things,
and
we
thank
you
for
giving
your
time
and
teaching
our
children.
We
appreciate
you
and
have
a
wonderful
retirement.
D
J
C
B
I
trustee
Webster
Webster
I
trustee
Turner
trustee
Benz
Ben
size,
Jesse,
the
French
love
French,
I'm.
K
Okay,
I
feel
that,
with
the
cost
of
everything,
everything
is
really
expensive
and
I
know
that
35
000
seemed
like
a
lot
of
money,
but
I
would
also
like
to
prove
that,
if,
during
this
period
of
time
that
in
you
know
the
superintendent
and
assistant
superintendents
feel
that
you
know
they're
getting
ready
to
exceed
I
think
they
can
come
back
to
the
board.
You
know
to
increase
that
because
I
don't
like
not
to
exceed
so.
If
that
that
happens,
then
they
can
come
back
for
approval
to
adjust
that.
J
I
I
pre-appreciate
all
that
the
soup,
superintendent
and
the
soup
soup
superintendent
attendant
do
when
they
go
to
con
conferences.
They
take
them
to
heart
and
they
bring
back
things
and
I.
I
know
when
I
was
at
csbba
last
year.
Mr
Cross
knew
everybody,
everybody
knew
him.
We
could
have
couldn't
take
four
steps
and
somebody
stop
stop
them
and
I.
Think
that's.
You
know
a
that.
That's
a
great
way
for
him
to
be
be
apprised
of.
J
E
Yeah
one
of
the
things
that
I
have
a
small
issue
with
this
agenda
item
is
currently
how
it
reads:
it's
only
an
annual
budget
for
a
superintendent,
an
assistant
superintendent,
and
eventually
we
will
be
looking
at
getting
a
CBO
and
a
assistant
superintendent
of
HR,
which
then
would
contradict
the
35
000
for
each
position.
Unless
we're
not
offering
this
to
the
other
superintendents
as
well.
Is
that
what
we're
looking
at
or
I
mean,
if
we're
going
to
do
this
eventually
we'll
have
two
more
people
and
eventually
we're
going
to
have
to
approve
them
as
well.
D
B
Bring
it
back
when
you
do
fill
those
two
spots,
because
there
are
conferences
that
they
take
that
are
not
named
on
this
agenda.
Okay,
and
they
would
know
what
those
are
we
we
kind
of
added
the
ones
we
feel
so
at
that
time
we
could
bring
that
back
for
their
approval,
and
it
goes
along
with
trustee
Turner's
caveat
that
the
superintendent
can
bring
it
back
to
the
board
to
vote
with
any
additional.
Should
it
go
or
exceed
that
amount,
and
we
can
add
it
at
that
time
as
well.
K
H
C
B
What
I
have
is
that
that
this
is
to
be
approved
for
all
assistance
soups,
including
our
superintendent,
with
the
caveat
that
the
superintendent
or
assistant
soups
can
bring
it
back
to
the
board
to
vote
any
additional
items,
or,
if
should
they
should
they
exceed
the
amount.
B
E
I
just
want
to
take
a
second
and
thank
our
admin
team
for
their
response
to
our
hurricane
slash.
Tropical
storm
I
am
thankful
that
you
did
take
the
initiative
to
keep
our
state
staff
and
students
safe
that
following
Monday
due
to
road
conditions
and
cleanup.
So
thank
you
very
much.
K
I
would
also
like
to
say
that
Mr
Krause
was
on
top
of
this.
You
know
he
kept
informing
everyone
throughout
that
weekend.
You
know
to
look
out
for
the
storm
and
I
appreciate
that,
so
you
you
know,
we
knew
that
whenever
we
have
a
heavy
rain,
there's
possibility
that
there
could
be
flooding
as
usual.
Over
Morgan
Kincaid
did
not
disappoint,
they
were.
It
was
pretty
bad
over
there
I
would
like
to
say
that
I'm
happy
that
everyone
was
safe.
K
You
know
we
did
wake
up
to
some
classes
that
were
damaged,
which
you
know
again.
I
have
to
concur
with
trustee
Webster,
immediate
response
to
that
was
incredible
and
I
want
to
bring
Mr,
Krause
superintendent
and
our
maintenance
staff.
You
know,
for
you,
know,
jumping
on
that
and
keeping
us
moving
in
a
right
in
the
right
direction.
K
Instruction
did
not
suffer
well,
some
classes
did
but
I
just
want
to.
You
know
thank
you
for
everything
that
you've
done
and
you
do
and
the
notification
that
you
give
the
board
and
staff.
So
thank
you
actually
to
the
entire
High
Desert
I.
Think
Mr
Krause
was
instrumental
in
leading
the
charge
to
call
the
closing
of
schools
early
rather
than
parents.
Getting
a
call
at
four
o'clock.
Five
o'clock
in
the
morning
saying
that
school
will
be
closed.
We
knew
it
was
going
to
be.
K
A
C
A
I
concur
as
well.
I
want
to
say
thank
you,
keeping
us
informed
with
like
time
time
time
by
second
blows,
even
the
classroom
being
out.
I
said:
where
are
you
that's?
What
I'd
like
to
know?
Are
you
driving
right?
You
need
a
boat.
What's
going
on
out
there
right,
the
classroom,
I
was
like
I
need
you
to
go
home
now
and
I
appreciate
all
that.
A
You
do
right,
but
you
were
right
on
top
of
it
and
I
thought
it
was
about
to
get
a
boat
to
get
you
from
off
of
Mojave.
Is
that
Mojave
that
intersection
that
was
flowing
like
a
river
yeah
blowing
like
a
river?
It
was
cozy
at
home,
but
you
know
I
and
I
do
definitely
appreciate
it
as
a
parent
knowing
the
night
before
it's
very
difficult
as
a
parent
to
get
up
in
the
next
morning
and
find
child
care
for
your
child.
A
It
was
I
said
that
you
know
it
was.
It
was
wonderful
for
our
staff
not
to
have
to
get
up
and
go
because
I
got
up
and
hit
that
Cajon
Pass
that
morning
in
order
to
go
to
work
but
to
have
staff
and
children
for
Adelanto
to
be
able
to
stay
at
home.
That
was
a
wonderful
thing.
It
was,
and
I
do
know
that
you
took
the
first
stand
on
it
because
even
for
other
school
districts,
I
was
receiving
phone
calls
that
those
school
districts
had
not
been.
A
B
A
E
C
B
A
K
Yes,
I'm
very
happy
to
see
disability
board
policy
on
the
agenda
tonight.
Our
goal
is
to
create
a
better
work
in
learning
environment
for
staff
and
students
that
promote
our
model
for
this
year
cultivate
creative
kindness.
We
believe
that
when
people
are
treated
with
kindness
and
respect,
it
can
create
an
overall
healthy
work
and
learning
environment
of
trust
for
everyone.
So
this
board
policy
is
is
was
needed
and
so
I'm
happy
that
it's
here.
So
that's
all.
Thank
you.
C
Well,
I
concur
with
Rusty
Turner.
A
C
I'm
excited
that
we're
passing
our
reviewing
this
policy,
this
steeping,
because
we
were
targeting
a
population
in
our
city
that
is
largely
Hispanic
and
so
I'm
glad
that's
the
board
policy
that
we
are
reviewing.
J
I
do
like
that,
the
that
the
the
ell
kids
will
be
able
to
take
the
the
honors
and
the
advanced
place
ment
and
that
their
class
classification
does
not
affect
their
eligibility
to
take,
though
those
class
classes,
so
because
it's
really
kind
of
hard,
sometimes
to
get
the
recall
classification,
there's
lots
of
aspects
and
on
a
tech
technicalities.
Some
somebody
may
not
be
reclassified
and
now
because
of
that
they,
but
they
they
now
can
still
take
those
Advance,
please
placements,
so
that
I'm
I'm
pleased
about.
K
You
know
I,
I
and
I've
been
on
the
board
a
long
time,
and
you
know
we
always
talked
about
our
education
for
our
English
language
Learners.
You
know,
I'm,
happy
that
this
policy
exists
now.
I'm
surprised
that
we
didn't
have
a
policy
in
the
past,
but
you
know
now
it's
greater
better
than
never
so
I'm
happy
to
see
this
I
would
also
like
us
to
consider
you
know
creating
a
policy
for
all
of
our
children
that
are
actually
to
improve
our
education
Gap
for
our
students
that
are
low
performers.
K
So
if
there's
a
policy
that
somewhere
I
would
like
to
see
that
brought
to
the
board
as
well,
because
we
need
to
address
that
issue
for
our
low
performing
students
and
Foster
Youth
and
African-American
students-
and
you
know
all
of
our
students
that
are
testing
very
low.
So
I
would
like
to
see
that.
A
J
C
All
right,
I'll
make
it
very
brief
good
evening,
Madam
president
and
members
of
the
public
I
just
wanted
to
make
a
brief
comment
due
to
health
reasons.
During
the
summer,
I
was
temporarily
away,
which
may
have
resulted
resulted
in
my
appear
disappearing
or
appearing
less
than
usual.
C
I
want
to
assure
you
that
I
am
back
and
fully
committed
to
representing
Area
3
with
a
dedication
it
deserves.
I,
look
forward,
working
with
my
colleagues
and
stakeholders
to
improve
communication
and
community
outreach
on
my
behalf.
As
a
trustee,
we
have
a
huge
opportunity
in
Area,
3
and
specifically
Columbia
Middle
School,
so
I
hope
you
guys
all
have
a
wonderful
night.
Thank
you.
J
Good
evening,
I'd
like
to
say,
I
was
able
to
to
attend
Vic
Victoria
mcgath
gathans
back
to
school
school
night
and,
of
course
they
always
have.
A
packed
house
cannot
park
anywhere,
but
I
love
to
see
the
parent
parents
go
going
and
engaging
I
think
that
there
should
be
a
con
contest
between
schools
to
see
who
gets
the
most.
You
know
parent
parents
in
involved
in
in
a
funk
function,
because
I
I
think
I
think
you
know
they
they
win
because
it
just
really
seems
like
I
could
not
get
into
the
NPR.
J
It
was
full.
I
was
also
Abe
able
to
go
to
Brad
braddocks
back
to
school
night
and
I
really
did
appre
appreciate
the
teach
teacher
soul,
soul,
Soul,
Train
dance
down
through
the
NPR.
J
They
just
had
fun
and
I
think
the
kids
had
fun
seeing
their
their
teeth.
Pictures
just
be
so
silly
and
again
it's
great
to
see
the
parents
come
in
come
come.
You
communicate,
ask
questions,
I,
think
it's!
It's
real
real,
really
great,
because
we,
we
are
a
team,
you
know,
and
we
have
to
work
together
to
help
these.
These
kids
reach
their
full,
but
to
put
potential
I
do
do
believe
that
adelant
lanto
has
great
things
to
off
offer
I'm
so
proud,
I
live,
live
here,
I
always
say
you
know,
you
hear
things.
J
K
K
You
know
it's
always
an
honor
when
given
a
chance
to
name
a
new
school
after
a
Pioneer
who
has
served
our
district
for
a
number
of
years,
Miss
mcgathon
will
forever
be
remembered
or
her
service
to
our
district,
our
children
and
our
staff.
Her
namesake
will
stand
tall
in
our
community
for
years
and
years
to
come.
K
I
had
the
opportunity
to
attend
the
dedication
of
Victoria
mcgathon
in
2005.
and
I
have
to
tell
you
these.
If
you
have
not
met
this
lady,
she
just
stand
tall.
She
was
a
tall
woman
and
a
very
a
very
elegant
woman,
but
you
could
tell
that
she
loved
our
children
and
she
fought
her
hardest
to
make
sure
that
they
got
the
education
that
they
deserved.
K
D
E
H
A
E
All
right
first
I,
do
want
to
make
comment
on
back
to
school
nights.
I
was
able
to
so
far
attend.
Gus,
Franklin
and
George
I
do
look
forward
to
Adelanto
elementary
school
on
Thursday
as
well.
I
do
want
to
take
a
moment
and
comment
on
the
amount
of
parents
that
I
did
see
back,
supporting
our
students
and
willing
to
be
that
team
partner
with
our
teachers
to
figure
out
what
we
need
to
do
to
enhance
them
and
their
classes.
E
E
I
do
want
to
say
that
I
was
a
bit
saddened
because
there
was
so
many
back
to
school
nights
on
the
same
nights
and
I
could
only
fathom
how
hard
it
could
have
been
for
parents
who
had
kids
in
middle
school
and
elementary
schools
and
how
to
decide
which
child
is
more
important
or
which
one
needed
more
attention.
I
do
hope.
E
Looking
forward,
we
are
able
to
mitigate
that
make
sure
that
all
children
have
the
support
of
parents
at
both
School
sites
or
for
all
children
in
the
household
I
do
want
to
take
another
moment
and
say
thank
you
to
our
our
m,
o
and
Mr
Krause
for
the
storm
management,
as
that
was
a
huge
event
for
our
district.
I
am
very
happy.
E
The
collaboration
that
we
had
during
those
events,
as
we
were
my
understanding,
the
leading
District
to
close
first
and
Lead
that
so
I
am
thankful
for
all
I
do
want
to
say
thank
you
to
Richard
Brandon
and
on
and
our
mno
as
we
had
multiple
roads
washed
out.
We
were
having
a
lot
of
issues
at
school
sites,
and
my
understanding
is
response
was
immediate,
so
I
am
very
glad
I'm,
so
happy.
E
We
were
able
to
get
back
to
school,
on
Tuesday
in
a
safe
measure
and
then
last
but
not
least,
I
do
want
to
extend
my
cult
condolences
to
Victoria
mcathan's
family
I've
heard
nothing
but
amazing
things
about
her
I
do
wish.
I
had
the
greatest
to
meet
her
but
I.
Once
again,
do
you
want
to
say
that
we
are
deeply
saddened
by
this
loss?
So
so
thank
you
and
I
hope
everyone
has
a
safe
drive
or
a
safe
night,
and
that
will
be
it.
D
A
Do
want
to
say
to
Mr
Allen
I
hope
that
you
and
your
students
over
at
Mesa
Linda,
is
enjoying
that
new
carpet
that
you
guys
have
please
send
pictures.
A
I
also
want
to
say
that
whenever
I
look
over
the
approval
of
volunteers
for
our
school
district,
I
am
always
very
excited
to
see
so
many
parents
that
want
to
volunteer
that
have
gone
through
the
approval
process
and
that
are
going
to
be
there
to
help
out
with
their
their
teachers
the
children
and
I
just
learned
recently
that
you
can
actually
volunteer
to
go
to
any
school.
It
doesn't
have
to
be
the
school
of
your
child.
A
That's
even
fantastic
in
itself
that
you
can
volunteer
your
time
at
not
only
your
child's
classroom,
but
at
another
school
as
well.
I
also
want
to
touch
bases
on
the
violent,
the
our
our
subs.
Sometimes
we
hear
things
that
are
not
true
about
people
not
wanting
to
are
leaving
Adelanto
to
work
someplace
else
or
not
wanting
to
come
to
Adelanto.
We
have
quite
a
few
Subs
that
want
to
come
and
sub
here
at
Adelanto
and
I
want
them
to
know
how
much
I
appreciate
them.
