A
Couple
of
adjustments-
I
am
council,
member
Taylor,
I'm,
mayor,
pro-tem,
I
will
be
taking
the
place
of
well.
I
could
never
take
the
place
of
the
mayor,
but
I
will
be
filling
in
for
the
mayor
this
evening.
Who
is
at
his
son's
wedding
they've
added
someone
to
the
family
and
thought
it'd
be
important
that
he
would
attend
the
event
this
tonight.
So
so
he
is
there.
A
We
would
also
like
to
excuse
councilmember
Shelton,
who
is
away
on
business
today,
we'd
like
to
make
mention
that
all
of
the
appropriate
notices
for
city
council
have
been
placed
in
the
certain
in
the
places
necessary
and
also
lets.
You
know
for
your
benefit
that
the
City
Council
as
well
as
all
of
you,
has
access
to
their
packet
or
all
of
the
items
that
we
will
be
covering
typically
on
Friday
morning
of
each
week
prior
to
council
meeting,
and
so
while
we
may
not
spend
a
tremendous
amount
of
time
on
each
of
the
agenda
items.
A
It's
because
we've
had
the
opportunity
to
study
those
out.
We've
had
staff
recommendations
beforehand,
and
so
we
will
go
through
the
agenda
as
expeditiously
as
possible,
hitting
all
the
major
points
that
we
need
to
as
we
go
along.
So
we
welcome
you
and
we
appreciate
you
all
being
here.
We
will
start
off
with
a
Pledge
of
Allegiance.
I
will
lead
everyone
in
the
Pledge
of
Allegiance
and
then
councilmember
Carol
will
offer
our
prayer.
So
if
you
all
please
rise.
C
Our
dear
Heavenly
Father
were
grateful
today
to
be
able
to
be
meet
together
as
a
city,
we're
grateful
for
the
opportunity.
We
have
to
speak
our
minds
and
to
represent
the
people
of
American
Fork.
Please
bless
us
that
we
will
be
able
to
speak
civilly
and
to
have
the
spirit
as
we
go
throughout
them.
Our
business,
in
the
name
of
Jesus
Christ,
amen,
amen.
A
Thank
You
councilmember
Carole.
We
appreciate
that
we
will
now
conduct
roll
call.
We
will
start
with
councilmember
Christensen
here,
councilmember
Barnes
yeah,
councilmember
Carole.
Thank
you.
So
there
are
four
of
us
tonight.
Ladies
and
gentlemen.
As
mayor,
pro-tem
I
will
be
voting
on
any
issue,
so
we
have
a
quorum
and
we
will
be
able
to
vote
on
all
items.
We
would
now
like
to
open
the
floor
to
our
20-minute
public
comment
period.
A
If
there
are
those
of
you
in
the
audience
who
have
issues
that
you
would
like
to
bring
to
the
attention
of
the
city
staff
of
the
council,
now
is
your
opportunity
to
do
so
as
you
come
forward.
If
you
would
please
state
your
name,
and
we
will
get
the
have
that
reflected
in
the
minutes,
along
with
the
information
that
that
you
need.
A
D
A
D
Two
quick
ones:
the
cemetery
committee
met
a
week
ago
yesterday
to
start
planning
the
Memorial
Day
program
that
will
be
held
on
that
last
Monday
and
may
whatever
that
is,
which
is
Memorial
Day.
It
will
be
held
in
the
Tabernacle.
We've
got
clearance
for
that
again
this
year,
so
we'll
get
more
details
on
the
program
as
we
get
it
finalized
and
then
Wednesday
of
last
week
the
Historical
Preservation
Committee
has
met.
A
D
A
A
E
E
It
was
quite
nice.
I
was
very
pleased.
It
was
simple,
but
very,
very
talented
people.
You
know
they
had.
Instead
of
a
lot
of
sense,
they
had
things
that
they
projected
them
to
a
screen,
so
it
was
not
real
complicated,
but
it
worked
out
nicely
for
the
smaller
theatres
and
it
was
just
delightful
to
see
all
that
talent.
E
C
A
You
haven't
had
the
opportunity
to
involve
yourself
in
any
of
the
arts
activities
around
the
city
like
like
the
play
or
the
symphony,
or
the
Wasatch
winds,
or
the
many
things
that
are
available.
You
should
avail
yourself
of
those
opportunities
because
it
is,
it
is
wonderful
and
we
have
a
lot
of
people
to
work
very
hard
to
to
put
on
good
productions
before
I
give
my
report
I
noticed.
A
couple
of
I
was.
E
E
A
Good,
thank
you.
Do
we
have
some
scouts
show
up
during
the
you?
Do
we
have
Scouts?
If
you
guys
are
a
few
brethren
would
stand
up
you
young
man,
would
stand
up.
Sorry,
mixing,
mixing
things.
If
welcome
young
man,
please
make
sure
that
you
sign
the
role
before
you
leave,
so
that
the
minutes
will
reflect
that
you
were
in
attendance
and
please
look
for
us
to
be
able
to
provide
any
help
or
come
to
us.
A
When
you're
approached
your
eagle,
we
would
love
to
be
able
to
help
you
with
a
project
or
something
within
the
city
that
we
would.
We
would
have.
So.
Thank
you
very
much
for
attending
with
us
tonight.
I
have
a
couple
of
items,
probably
the
most
exciting
of
which
was
last
Saturday.
Our
wonderful
American,
Fork
cave
men
are
our
only
high
school
here
in
the
city
won
their
first
state
basketball
championship
in
40
years,
which
was
very
refreshing.
It's
interesting
to
note
that
I
was
at
the
other
left.
I
wasn't
the
last
time
they
won.
A
The
state
championship,
I
believe,
was
in
the
University,
Utah
and
and
I
was
there
I've
been
several
in
between,
but
never
had
the
same
least
the
same
success.
So
after
40
years
we
congratulate
them
were
proud
of
them.
They
handled
themselves
very
well.
It
was
a
great
game.
The
stands
were
filled
with
good
people
from
American
Fork,
so
it
was.
It
was
a
wonderful
celebration
for
our
community.
We
appreciate
them.
Also
appreciated
was
their
assuring
back
into
the
city
by
Chief,
Bram's
and
the
chief
false
love
and
their
their
officers
bringing
them
back
in.
A
It
was
a
wonderful
thing
to
hear
the
sirens
and
I
have
something
like
that
to
celebrate.
So
we
appreciate
it,
and
that's
that
makes
up.
Community
I
also
had
a
great
conversation
with
gentleman
who
is
in
charge
of
all
the
cricket
that
takes
place
in
Utah,
Cricket
League
in
Utah
and
I.
Don't
know
how
many
of
you
know,
but
there
is
a
cricket
pitch
that
is
set
up
in
art,
dye,
ballpark
I.
A
The
beauty
of
that
is,
they
are
all
about
donating
the
labor
and
with
all
of
the
influx
of
people
that
have
moved
into
our
area
as
a
result
of
silicon
slopes
and
the
high
tech
companies
that
are
around
here.
The
popularity
for
that
has
has
increased.
So
it
was
very
refreshing
to
have
someone
call
and
be
willing
to
put
in
the
time
and
effort
to
help
that
come
to
pass
without
just
asking
for
so
I
appreciated
that
with
that
I
have
no
other
items.
C
E
A
Member
Barnes,
hi,
council,
member
Carol
and
councilmember
Taylor
will
vote
aye
as
well.
Thank
you.
We
will
move
ahead
to
our
action
items.
Actually.
Item
number
one
review:
an
action
on
the
approval
of
an
amendment
to
the
seventh
addendum
to
the
solid
waste
collection
agreement
with
Republic
Services,
so
with
public
services.
A
Many
of
you
know
the
change
is
taking
place
with
our
recycling,
our
with
recycling
in
general,
throughout
the
United
States
and
as
a
result
of
that
republic
and
the
city
of
American
Fork
have
come
together
to
try
and
offset
some
of
those
additional
costs
while
trying
to
provide
the
best
recycling
opportunity
for
our
citizens
here,
and
so
there
is
a
a
change
to
that
agreement.
There
are
any
questions
or
anything
regarding.

B
A
Action
on
the
appointment
of
Rebekah's
Staton
term
ending
2025,
so
it's
new
six
year
term
and
Jeff-
do
pay
alternate
term
ending
2022
the
American
Fork
City,
Planning,
Commission
I,
don't
see.
Mrs.
Staton
is
mr.
dupay.
Here,
no
okay.
So,
as
you
may
know,
mrs.
Staton
has
been
on
the
Planning
Commission
for
a
period
of
the
time.
She's
very
similar
and
mr.
Jeff
dupay
has
been
involved
as
well.
So
I'd.
E
D
E
C
A
The
the
value
of
the
complaining
Commission,
as
many
of
you
know,
you're
here
with
developments
and
different
things.
You
know
the
tremendous
amount
of
time
they
put
in
and
their
information
they
provide
to
us
the
minutes
from
their
meetings.
Their
recommendations
are
invaluable
to
us
as
a
city
council.
So
we
very
much
appreciate
them
with
no
further
discussion
on
the
motion.
We'll
call
for
a
roll
call
vote
council,
member
Christensen,
aye.
E
A
Member
Barnes,
council,
member
Carroll
and
I
will
vote
I.
Also.
Thank
you.
We
will
now
go
to
item
number
four
review:
an
action
on
an
ordinance
approving
a
zone
map
amendment
from
the
r-1
7,500
residential
zone
to
the
r3
7,500
residential
residential
zone
located
in
the
area
of
414,
East
500,
south.
C
A
A
D
Just
that
it
looks
like
a
good
housecleaning
kind
of
thing,
for
you,
young
boys,
that
are
back
there.
Sometimes,
this
stuff
is
boring
pretty
much
every
night,
but
it
is
important
stuff
and
it's
sometimes
it
is
just
cleaning
things
up.
Sometimes
there
are
really
big
decisions,
but
a
lot
of
times
it's
just
trying
to
decide
who
your
neighbors
are
and
what
they
can
do
and
that's
kind
of
what
this
involves.
D

A
Members
Barnes
hi,
council,
member
Carol
and
I
will
vote
I.
Also,
okay.
Now,
let's
go
back
to
item
number
four
communities
that
care
review:
an
action
on
a
resolution
approving
the
inter
local
cooperative
agreement
with
the
Utah
County
with
Utah
County
for
substance,
misuse,
prevention
services
and
communities
that
care
and
model.

Ocd

I
got
one
word
that
I'm
questioning,
whether
it's
the

not,

eight,
the
sumac

As
you
were
aware,
we
had
this
on
the

last

We
have
made
some
changes
to
that
mainly
in

price,

that
