A
Recording
in
progress,
sorry
today
is
Monday
January
23rd
online.
We
have
member
lessons,
I
mean
I'm,
sorry,
Wilson,
okay
and
we
are
expecting
member
Higgins
to
join
online
as
well,
and
I
will
confirm
that
when
he
shows
in
the
boardroom
we
have
members
lessons
Holloman,
Jacobs,
Donnelly
and
Bellamy.
We
also
have
our
superintendent
Dr
Jared
Bryant,
along
with
our
recording
excuse
me,
our
Administrative
Assistant
executive
assistant,
Amanda
Foster.
A
A
So
with
that
our
we
do
not
have
any
rfis
that
have
not
been
addressed,
but
I
would
open
the
floor
for
other
rfis
additional
rfis
if
there
are
any,
but
you
can
bring
those
forth
at
any
time
all
right,
not
seeing
any.
Thank
you.
I.
C
Do
have
a
oh
I
know
at
one
time
several
years
ago
seems
like
several
years
ago.
We.
C
To
get
a
substantial
update
on
the
impact
of
the
health
clinics
in
regards
to
the
cost
of
health
coverage
for
the
district
and
for
employees
and
I
I
think
coven
knocked
that
off
the
table
and
and
it's
never
come
up
again
but
I'm-
wondering
if
there's
an
update
scheduled
on
that
the
health
of
our
health
care
coverage.
E
C
Vera
and
just
the
cost
of
Health
Care
in
general,
oh.
A
Okay,
now
I
do
think
I
think
that
did
come
up.
Remember
not
that
I'm
searching
my
brain.
It's
a
it's
a
more
of
a
long-term,
it's
on
a
long-term
list
or
because
of
all
the
things
that
are
going
on
right
now.
Remember
Higgins
brought
that
same
thing
up
as
well.
So
thank
you.
Anybody
else
not
seeing
any
I'm
gonna
turn
it
over
to
our
superintendent,
Dr
Bryant.
E
Good
afternoon
ASD
Borden
Community
as
I
shared
earlier
this
month,
the
Abbott
Loop
Community
is
at
the
Forefront
of
my
mind,
because
it's
going
to
take
strong
coordination
and
planning
to
ensure
that
absolute
families
and
staff
receive
robust
levels
of
support
during
this
time.
We'll
take
time
to
brief
the
board
on
our
initial
progress
and
some
of
what
is
currently
being
planned
to
support
that
effort.
This
is
an
ongoing
process
that
will
evolve
over
the
coming
weeks
in
collaboration
with
our
schools,
but
we
want
the
community
to
know
early
on
that.
E
A
B
Well,
thank
you.
For
the
time
we
have
this
broken
up
into
a
few
different
pieces.
We've
been
working
with
the
pretty
robust
committee
to
get
some
things
in
order
and
Eric
bisty,
the
senior
director
of
Elementary
education
is
kind
of
leading
that
work
and
then,
after
he
goes
through
the
parts
on
the
instructional
side,
chief
of
human
resource
officer,
Marty
Lang
will
go
over
the
actual
Staffing
component
for
the
staff,
so
we're
kind
of
breaking
it
up
into
the
the
family.
B
Kid
experience
and
the
staff
experience
so
I
think
I'm
handing
it
over
to
Eric
first
and
he'll
kind
of
walk
us
through
that
piece.
F
All
right
good
afternoon,
Eric
Vista
senior
director
for
elementary
education,
even
though
there's
just
three
of
us
there's
a
lot
of
people
involved
in
this
work.
We
have
our
principals
here
who
are
representing
the
schools,
as
well
as
our
directors
from
elementary
Ed,
and
we
have
other
people
with
project
management
and
it's
a
whole
Total
Team
to
be
able
to
make
our
sleuth
transition
for
our
Abbott
Loop
students.
F
F
The
priority
is
supporting
our
staff,
our
students,
our
families
and
our
staff.
We
also
have
our
Logistics
and
our
operational
capacity
and
and
methods
and
practices
to
do
that,
as
well
as
the
actual
moving
and
receiving
components
to
that
we
won't
get
into
too
much
tonight,
but
the
first
part
will
be
talking
about
supporting
students
and
Families.
F
Let's
go
next
slide
there
we
go
so
so
when
we
met
as
a
group-
and
we
started
this
work
a
couple
weeks
ago,
in
more
Earnest
with
our
principals
and
our
schools,
we
wanted
to
calibrate
and
really
understand
like
what
are
the
main
priorities
and
what
are
some
must
Do's
that
we
have
to
be
focused
on
so
in
conversations
really
it
drills
into
four
different
areas.
So
we
wanted
to
make
sure
that
we
had
collaboration
across
all
three
schools
so
between
Abba,
Loop
and
Trailside
and
consume.
F
We
needed
to
have
consistency
and
communication
across
each
of
those
three
schools.
We
also
wanted
to
have
synchronization
and
planning
of
the
supports
that
are
going
to
be
delivered
to
cassoon
and
to
Trailside,
so
that
the
experience
for
the
students
from
our
abeloop
community
are
are
are
consistent,
while
also
being
able
to
allow
for
our
cassoon
nights
and
our
Trailside
Timberwolves
to
have
their
own
school-based
experiences
too.
So
the
synchronization
of
that
is
really
important.
F
The
third
part
of
it
is
looking
at
Abba,
Loop
Community,
as
well
as
Trailside
and
kissoon,
and
while
we
we
want
to
make
sure
that
we
have
everything
ready
to
go.
We
want
to
recognize
and
and
be
representative
that
it's
January
and
we
also
have
a
full
semester
of
school
left.
So
we
want
to
provide
the
least
amount
of
disruption
as
well
for
our
Avenue
Community,
for
what
they're
going
through
so
everything
that
we
talk
about
and
how
we
engage
in
this
work.
F
So
all
while
looking
ahead
to
next
August
and
next
September.
What
that's
going
to
look
like
so
students
who
are
going
to
the
schools
will
feel
like
they're
part
of
that
community
that
they're
going
to
be
going
into
next
slide.
F
So
when
we
talk
about
when
we've
met
in
our
work
groups,
the
work
groups
really
started
in
in
in
in
more
efforts
on
the
11th
of
January,
with
starting
with
our
principals
and
our
lead
team,
and
some
of
the
early
conversations
that
have
come
out
is
making
sure
the
opportunity
for
families
and
communities
to
go
into
the
schools
of
both
Trailside
and
cassoon,
and
have
an
opportunity
that,
while
the
dates
have
not
been
yet
identified
because
it's
we're
coordinating
of
when
that
best
timing
is
those
are
planned.
F
And
those
are
actions
that
we
will
be
going
through,
so
that
the
families
of
avaloop
have
a
chance
to
go
to
the
school.
See
the
school
talk
with
the
principal
and
visit
and
get
to
get
a
better
feel
of
that,
and
have
it
more
of
a
coordinated
effort
and
there's
other
little
elements
that
I'll
talk
into
that
go
into
like
an
open
house
event
that
that
kind
of
Dove
detail
into
some
of
that.
But
but
that's
a
benchmark
activity
as
well
as
having
our
our
open
house.
F
Events
that'll
happen
in
August
at
our
schools
too.
The
other
part
would
be
the
coordinated
communication.
So
when
we're
messaging
out
to
our
communities,
we
want
to
make
sure
that
principal
Edwards
and
principal
Jones
and
and
principal
angstrom
are
are
coordinating
their
communication
so
that
the
families
are
hearing
the
same
message
and
having
the
consistency
so
that
they
know
the
experience
for
both
families
are
are
happening
in
the
same
way.
F
So
the
coordinated
communication
plan,
which
we'll
be
picking
up
in
in
in
a
little
bit
more
expediently
here
in
about
a
week
from
now,
is
a
part
of
the
piece
that
we're
doing.
One
of
the
things
you
see
on
the
side
there
is
all
of
the
schools
have
engaged
their
staff
into
brainstorming
and
looking
at
ideas,
and
how
can
we
at
cassoon
and
how
can
we
have
a
loop?
F
How
can
we
make
this
transition
helpful,
and
so
what
we
wanted
to
make
sure
is
that
the
staff
have
a
voice
in
this
too,
and
so
that
work
is
happening
concurrently,
while
we're
engaged
in
the
level
of
District
level
planning
as
well,
and
so
that
picture
that
you
see
is
from
Abbott
Loop
and
brainstorming.
Some
ideas
of
what
could
happen
and
what
would
the
community
from
Abbott
Loop
want
or
what
would
be
beneficial
to
the
students?
F
F
You
know
the
the
what
we've
talked
about
is
you
know
the
staff
will
follow
the
students
right
so
classroom
teachers,
so
our
cohorts
of
students,
the
200
students
out
of
the
250
that
will
be
going
to
consume
and
the
50
students
that'll
be
going
from
from
ABBA
Loop
to
Trailside
those
teachers
that
Staffing
will
go
to
those
schools,
but
beyond
the
classroom
we
have
a
lot
of
support
services
that
are
necessary
to
help
our
students
be
most
successful.
F
So
student
nutrition
work
is
being
done
to
be
able
to
coordinate
and
plan
so
that
the
families
can
get
support
with
student
nutrition.
So
everything
from
having
an
open
house
event
and
having
student
nutrition
be
there
to
help
families
register
for
free
and
reduced
hot
lunch,
those
kind
of
things
and
those
kind
of
details
making
sure
that
those
pieces
are
there
for
for
providing
both
the
student
nutrition
aspect
of
it.
But
the
welcoming
piece
at
the
new
school
counseling
does
have
a
counselor
on
staff.
F
The
other
piece
that
we're
looking
at
is
at
the
Loop
has
a
counseling
FTE.
We
are
moving
the
counseling
FTE
from
Abbott
Loop
for
next
year,
two
Trail
sites,
so
Trailside,
who
does
not
currently
have
a
counselor,
we'll
have
a
counselor
for
next
year
and
so
that'll
be
an
added
service
for
both
the
entire
school,
but
also
for
the
students
from
ABBA
loop
as
well
special
support,
so
the
F,
the
FTE
and
the
Staffing
allocations
that
will
be
going
from
from
Abbott
Loop
will
be
following
so
the
teachers.
F
If
you
have
a
certain
number
of
teachers,
you
will
get
the
corresponding
plus
an
additional
layer
of
Staffing
support
to
be
able
to
provide
a
robust
program
to
meet
the
student
needs
during
the
regular
scheduled
day.
Preschool
is
another
program
piece
that
is
at
Abba
Loop.
We
have
both
the
developmental
pre-k
program
and
we
also
have
the
migrant
education
gen
Ed
program
there.
Those
two
schools
will
be
moved
and
relocated.
They
will
not
be
going
to
consume
or
have
a
loop.
F
Those
two
programs,
the
developmental
pre-k
program,
will
be
going
to
Spring
Hill
Elementary
School,
so
that
work
is
happening
now.
Chelsea
Moreau,
who
is
the
director
of
preschool,
has
been
working
on
that
and
the
staff
today
at
Abbott
Loop,
were
informed
of
where
they
were
going
for
preschool.
The
migrant
education
program
will
be
going
to
Bowman
principal
Freeman
is
super
excited,
so
is
principal
Bauer
at
Spring
Hill,
but
Mr
Freeman's
also
excited
to
bring
a
general
education
pre-k
program
into
Bowman.
F
Bowman,
currently
only
has
a
developmental
pre-k
program,
so
that'll
make
their
preschool
footprint
a
little
bit
more
Blended
as
well.
So
those
two
programs
are
going
into
a
couple
different
directions.
The
nice
thing
with
the
migrant
education
preschool
program
is
that
it
is
a
general
education
base.
It
is
geographical,
so
so
we're
able
to
keep
it
in
that
part
in
that
area,
town,
which
will
be
helpful
for
the
families
over
in
that
part
of
the
Anchorage.
F
The
last
part
will
be
special
education
and
when
special
education
is
on
there,
but
it
also
Blends
over
to
ell
title
VI
and
other
programs
too,
but
essentially
with
special
education.
Our
IEPs
will
follow
our
students
and
with
our
IEPs
that
follow
the
students.
So
will
the
services
that
go
with
them,
so
so
special
education
right
now
we're
working
through
our
staffing
list
and
our
names
students
to
identify
exactly
who's
going
where
that
communication
will
start
happening,
this
Friday
with
families
and
then
we'll
be
messaging
it
individually.
F
And
then
the
special
education
department
is
also
working
concurrently
to
be
able
to
plan
what
level
of
Staffing
and
teachers
and
paraprofessionals
need
to
go
to
the
school,
to
make
sure
that
students
get
the
services
that
they
need,
foreign
and
with
that
I'm
going
to
hand
it
over.
Unless
we
want
to
pause
a
little
bit
on
the
student
and
support
services,
otherwise
I
would
hand
it
over
to
Chief
human
interest,
Resources
officer
or
anything.
G
F
Good
question
I'll
break
it
down
a
little
bit
more
detail:
Mr
Lang,
we'll
probably
be
talking
about
a
little
bit
of
that
too.
The
special
it
is
a
large
bucket.
So
I
appreciate
the
question
member
lessons
there.
So
you
have
within
Specialists.
You
have
Library
Services,
you
have
PE,
you
have
art,
you
have
music,
you
have
health,
nursing
and
so
on
and
so
forth.
F
The
the
piece
that
we're
in
right
now
is
the
Staffing
window.
So
you
know,
Trailside
has
one
there's
cassoon
has
one
nurse:
they
each
have
one
Library.
F
So
there's
some
little
bit
of
nuance
pieces
that
we
have
to
work
through
through
some
of
those
positions
that
are
sole
sourced
positions
at
each
building
as
far
as
the
PE
Health
art,
music,
those
positions
so
for
Apple
loop
with
250
students,
we
were
looking
at
the
Ft
today,
roughly
getting
a
little
bit
into
the
details,
but
like
Health
has
about
a
0.25
FTE
allocated
for
for
at
the
Loop.
F
That
would
be
more
of
an
itinerant
position,
so
the
staff
members
that
would
be
in
those
positions
still
have
their
other
schools
that
they're
attached
to
right.
So
we
wouldn't
necessarily
be
taking
them
out
of
all
their
schools.
They
would
still
have
their
other
school,
but
what
we
also
know
is
because
soon
is
going
to
need
additional
Staffing
to
eat
that
right.
So
there's
a
little
bit
of
nuanced
details
in
it
and
each
one
of
those
areas
are
a
little
bit
different
in
that
regard.
F
So
what
we'll
have
to
be
doing
is
going
through
work,
more
detailed.
As
we
know
the
information
as
it
comes
up
through
designations
notifications,
other
transfers
and
that
stuff
and
again
I'll
defer
to
Mr
Lang
with
the
human
resource
part
of
it.
F
So
that
when
I
was
speaking
about
the
migrant
pre-k
program,.
A
F
A
H
You
Marty
Lang
Chief
Human,
Resources
officer
good
afternoon.
We
know
that
all
the
conversation
around
closing
habit
Loop
has
created
a
lot
of
anxiety
for
families
and
also
for
staff,
and
so
in
the
next
couple
of
weeks.
In
addition
to
the
information
that
Eric's
team
will
will
send
out
to.
H
We
want
to
get
a
lot
of
information
in
the
hands
of
staff
so
that,
hopefully
we
can
allay
some
of
their
anxiety
and
let
them
know
what
the
process
is
for
placing
them
for
next
year
and
the
good
news
is,
you
know,
we're
100,
confident
that
all
Abbott
Loop
staff
will
have
a
position
for
next
year
through
our
regular
attrition
through
our
open
positions,
where
we're
confident
that
all
staff
members
from
all
different
bargaining
groups
will
find
a
home
for
on
February
1st,
which
is
a
week
from
this
coming.
Wednesday.
H
A
team
from
talent,
management
and
Elementary
education
is
going
to
go
to
Abbott
loop,
we're
going
to
speak
with
the
staff
after
school
that
day
we're
going
to
present
a
lot
of
the
information
that
are
on
these
next
couple
of
slides.
So
they
have
that
first
hand
from
us
and
then
really
open
it
up
and
give
them
the
opportunity
to
ask
as
many
questions
as
they
have,
and
they
probably
have
a
lot
right
now,
so
that
we
can
hopefully
equip
them
with
the
information
for
how
this
will
roll
out.
H
H
So
for
our
we'll
start
with
our
k6
classroom
teachers,
we're
going
to
ask
them
to
complete
a
preference
form
and
they'll
have
three
options,
so
they'll
identify
who
they
are,
what
they're
currently
teaching
and
then
in
terms
of
preferences.
They
can
State
whether
or
not
they
would
be
most
interested
in
following
students
to
consume
to
Trailside,
or
there
is
a
third
option
if
they
would
prefer
not
to
be
placed
at
either
of
those
schools.
H
We
will
give
them
the
option
to
indicate
their
preference
to
be
part
of
just
the
general
displacement
pool
where
they
would
be
considered
for
openings
at
other
elementary
schools
or
positions
for
which
they're
qualified
in
the
district
wool
to
the
greatest
exam
possible.
Take
those
preferences
and
considerations
in
mind
when
placing
them,
obviously
we're
not
going
to
send
nine
classroom
teachers
to
Trailside
with
only
40
or
50
students
going
there.
So
if
everybody
said
hey,
we
want
Trailside.
H
We
have
to
make
some
difficult
decisions
but,
to
the
greatest
extent
possible
we're
going
to
try
to
start
with
those
teachers
preferences
and
have
them
follow
those
those
students
to
those
openings
at
a
casino
Trailside.
H
In
terms
of
a
timeline
around
that
when
the
budget
is
finalized,
we
will
a
couple
days
after
that
notify
those
k-6
classroom
teachers
at
abalu,
where
they've
been
placed
so
we're
gonna
in
the
interim,
collect
that
preference
information
from
them
have
all
that
lined
out
when
the
budget's
finalized,
then
we'll
we'll
notify
him
a
couple
of
days
after
next
slide.
H
So,
as
Eric
already
mentioned
for
our
Pre-K
classroom
teachers
and
the
paraprofessionals
that
are
based
in
those
classrooms,
they
will
follow
their
programs,
the
developmental
classrooms.
You
can
see
they're
going
to
Spring
Hill,
the
General
Ed
Migrant
classroom
to
Bowman
those
non-a
non-classroom-based
Ada
positions
that
you
asked
about
earlier,
like
Librarians,
PE
teachers,
nurse
counselors
Etc
will
be
placed
or
may
be
placed
at
consumer
Trailside
if
there's
an
opening
there.
H
But
if
there's
art,
if
that
position
is
already
occupied,
then
those
individuals
will
have
the
opportunities
to
submit
their
General
preference
list
and
it'll
be
considered
part
of
the
regular
displacement
process.
So
if
there
wasn't
an
opening,
if
there
was
an
opening,
they
would
be
notified
a
couple
days
after
the
budget's
finalized,
probably
that
February
23rd
timeline,
otherwise
the
general
displacement
process.
Those
teachers
will
be
notified
prior
to
spring
break
so
by
March.
H
9Th
Eric
already
talked
a
little
bit
about
the
process
for
placing
Specialists
so
I'll
move
on
to
the
next
part,
which
I
think
is
an
important
kind
of
key
piece
of
information.
So
all
of
the
placements
for
AAA
staff
that
we've
talked
about
so
far
technically
are
involuntary
transfers
they'll
be
placed
in
those
locations,
even
though
we're
considering
their
preferences.
H
And
so
if
we
have
anyone
who
is
not
particularly
happy
with
their
placement,
they
still
have
the
opportunity
to
put
in
a
voluntary
transfer
request
and
after
spring
break
during
our
normal
spring
Staffing
event
for
elementary
Ed,
that's
March
22nd.
They
would
have
the
opportunity
to
be
considered
for
any
other
opening
through
that
regular
transfer
process,
so
hopefully,
through
those
two
opportunities,
we're
going
to
get
the
aea
staff
really
in
a
building
for
next
year,
where
they
would
like
to
be
next
slide.
H
So
moving
on
to
our
other
bargaining
groups,
our
current
principal
is
serving
in
an
acting
capacity
this
year.
So
she
will
have
the
opportunity
to
apply
for
principal
openings
during
the
regular
Elementary
hiring
process.
H
The
timeline
specific
timeline
for
that
is
still
being
finalized,
but
that'll
probably
have
to
start
here
in
the
next
month
or
so
is
that
correct?
Okay,
totem
and
Ace
employees
will
be
placed
at
locations
that
are
convenient
for
the
employee
and
that
meet
the
program.
Needs
of
ASD,
that's
language
that
comes
right
out
of
the
totem
contract.
H
So
we
don't
have
a
form
solidified
yet
for
that
group
because
they're
not
on
as
an
aggressive
a
timeline
as
the
aea
Staffing
process,
but
we
will
develop
a
Prof,
a
process
to
collect
preferences
from
our
totem
and
Ace
employees
and
really
try
to
place
them
in
an
opening
for
next
year
that
really
kind
of
Suits
their
needs
and
preferences,
student
nutrition
staff
and
our
BPO
and
night
crew.
They
are
managed
by
their
respective
departments,
so
they
will
be
assigned
to
another
school
and
we
have
lots
of
openings
in
both
of
those
areas.
H
So
we
we
have
plenty
of
options
available
to
them
and
then
finally,
we
have
our
attempt
positions,
our
crossing
guards
and
new
duties.
They
will
have
the
option
to
move
students
with
students
if
they
choose
to
continue
their
employment.
Many
of
our
temp
folks
are
there
because
their
kids
are
there
so
depending
on
where
their
kids
are
next
year,
we'll
give
them
the
opportunity
to
apply
for
those
same
positions
at
those
schools.
F
Remember
Holloman:
we
don't
have
rigid
boundaries
like
we
would
for
like
a
neighborhood
school
as
as
we've
just
received
a
grant
through
the
municipality
rate,
and
so
we've
been
expanding,
preschool
and
providing
access
and
opportunities.
So
parents
apply
the
other
piece
within
our
developmental
Pre-K
is
its
eligibility
based
and
so
students
who
are
eligible
through
child
find
services
and
early
intervention
services,
then
access
the
pre-scape
preschool
programs
three-year-old
four-year-old
programs,
part
of
that
depends
on
sizes
of
the
classrooms
currently
in
geographical
locations.
F
For
well
the
the
developmental
Pre-K
that
there
is
not
the
migrant
Pre-K
is
based
off
of
Migrant
services
for
kids
that
qualify
right.
So
there's
a
few
different
migrant
Programs
located
and
it
is
general
education
based.
You
also
have
buddy
Bears
program,
which
is
a
application
based
depending
on
capacity.
So
it's
a
little
bit
closer
to
that.
First
come
first,
serve
type
basis
for
families
to
be
able
to
access
body
bear,
so
it
is
more
application
based
and
and
open
and
and
seats
available
within
the
classrooms.
F
D
Yeah,
thank
you.
Mr
President,
the
question
I!
Don't
have
we
don't
know
if
we
can
get
a
copy
of
the
slides,
I,
don't
remember
the
exact
language
but
I
think
when
speaking
to
assistance
with
meals,
I
think
the
language
said
something
like
you're
going
to
work
with
parents.
Is
there
anything
else
you
can
share
about
what
that
might
look
like
from
a
practical
standpoint
if
any
either
of
the
schools
aren't
re-categorized
as
Title
One.
F
B
I'd
also
add
that
not
only
are
we
looking
at
that,
but
we're
just
looking
at
like
how
many
kids
and
are
going
to
Trailside
versus
cassoon
and
how
we
can
make
it
work
and
kind
of
we
want
to
support
those
families,
because
we
heard
that
loud
and
clear
in
our
town
hall
meeting
right.
We
want
to
support
those
families,
make
sure
that
their
kiddos
have
lunch
and
we'll
we'll
assure
that.
B
A
You
and
I'm
just
curious
I
know
you
mentioned
Transportation
foreign
is
like
I,
mean
they're
all
kind
of
in
that
same
area,
so
you
have
Trailside
like
a
little
further
south
I.
Think
and
then
you
have
the
zone
so
the
kids,
so
how
about
so?
What
will
the
transportation
look
like?
A
B
B
A
B
I
I
know
people
try
to
ignore
me:
you're,
not
it's
no
different,
I
appreciate
the
thing
I
guess.
My
question
is
in
regards
to
long
term,
with
with
Abbott
right
now,
I
know
we
heard
from
Alaska
native
cultural
charter
school
ancci.
Has
there
been
any
discussions
on
that
at
all
and
because
I
can
picture
that
also
being
someone
that
does
not
alter
it?
A
I
Okay,
I'm
sorry,
a
and
CCS
came
in
front
of
us
asking
if
they
could
be
considered
for
Avid
Loop.
So
to
me,
that's
the
the
one
issue.
I
was
bringing
up
not
a
separate
entirely
in
regards
to
it
and
I.
Don't
know
if
discussions,
how
that
might
impact
what
people
are
doing
or
where
these
kids
go
with
things
like
that,
but.
E
I
I
would
say
member
Higgins,
it
is
in
our
radar.
We
did
hear
the
testimony
at
the
last
board
meeting,
though
we
don't
have
a
slide
on
it
today,
because
we
really
want
to
take
an
opportunity
to
focus
on
the
families
and
students
and
staff
of
Abbott
Loop,
but
do
know
it
is
on
our
radar
and
we
will
be
able
to
answer
questions
on
the
trade-offs
and
opportunities
as
it
relates
to
either
repurposing
Abbott
Loop
or
really
pushing
that
back
to
the
munis
excess.
I
A
G
Yeah
one
of
the
things
that
I
am
hopeful
for,
but
I,
don't
know
if
it's
asking
too
much
or
within
the
realm
of
the
possible
is
that
we
can
compensate
for
what
I
expect
will
be
some
academic
disruption
for
these
students
moving
from
one
school
to
another
by
bringing
those
receiving
schools
class
sizes
down.
Is
that
something
that
the
Administration
has
discussed
in
any
capacity?
You
know
something
more
like
what
we
know
of
as
the
evidence-based
model.
B
B
You
know,
as
we
look
at
title
one
we
keep
hearing
about
Title,
One
and
the
title.
One
funding
is
isn't
a
lot
at
Abu,
but
it
does
provide
some
services
and
we're
going
to
make
sure
that
those
services
are
continued,
probably
school-wide
and
whatnot
at
the
cassoon
and
Trailside.
You
have
something
to
add.
F
Air
and
then
first
part
of
August,
we
have
our
registration,
in-person
registration
event.
We
obviously
have
open
enrollment,
open
registration
and
pre-registration
coming
in
the
springtime,
but
one
of
the
things
that
we'll
be
doing,
we
always
do
and
we'll
do
especially
looking
at
both
of
Trailside
and
cassoon,
is
looking
at
the
classroom.
F
Enrollment
reports
that
we
get
leading
up
to
the
10
days
of
school
to
make
sure
class
sizes
are
not
going
exceedingly
high
or
depending
on
what
happens
with
enrollment
enrollment
can
always
fluctuate,
and
so
on
both
sides
and
keeping
a
Keen
Eye
in
terms
of
where
the
class
sizes
are
going.
But
that
is
something
that
we
do
as
a
division.
Every
every
year
in
August,
as
as
kids,
come
into
the
schools,
typically
typically
historically
speaking,
Trail
side
and
consume
has
a
a
pretty
Progressive
enrollment
pattern.
They
don't.
F
A
F
For
the
summer
school
program
we
are,
we
are
looking
at
summer,
school
planning
and
and
our
summer
school
planning
is
happening
concurrently
with
conversations
with
potential
six,
you
know
sixth
grade
moving
and
the
school
relocating,
as
well
as
some
operating
activities
that
are
happening
in
schools,
so
the
site
location
in
that
has
been
determined
on
where.
D
F
Those
pieces
are
yet
but
I
think
that's
a
good
question
and
good
feedback
for
us
to
consider
that
and
I
put
I
put
a
note
down
to
just
keep
that
in
our
mind,
going.
A
So
what
will
the
numbers
be
at?
What
are
the
final
numbers?
You
was
that
on
a
slide
did
I
mentioned
it.
F
So
cassoon
is
currently
around
266
students
with
an
additional
200
students.
If
you
had
466
mid
400s
Trailside
is
sitting
around
392,
plus
or
minus
and
with
additional
50
they
should
be
about
the
same
size,
450,
students,
okay,.
G
B
What
yes,
there's
about
20
kids
that
have
a
loop
that
are
on
Zone
exemptions
to
have
a
loop,
and
so
what
will
happen?
Is
each
of
those
families
will
be
reached
out
to
and
told
them
that
their
zone
is
no
longer
their
school,
that
they
zoned
into
is
no
longer
available,
and
they
will
be
worked
with
one-on-one
to
enter
lotteries
for
schools
that
they
are
interested
in
applying
for
for
their
kids
to
be
going
to
some
of
the
some
of
the
kids
that
are
lotteryeden
to
have
a
loop
or
actually
Trailside
and
consume
families.
B
F
So
because
soon
does
have
school,
counseling
Trail
side
is
not,
and
so
Trailside
will
gain
counseling
FTE,
so
that'll
be
an
additional
service.
That
Trailside
will
have.
G
I'm
sure
I
could
pull
this
up,
but
I
don't
know
how
many
teachers,
how
many
staff
members
I
guess
overall,
are
we
talking
about
Pat,
Abbott
Loop
and
maybe
there's
a
distinction
between
classroom
teachers,
I
guess
I'm
interested
in
the
number
of
classroom
teachers
that
I
Envision
being
moved
to
one
or
those
schools
or
other.
H
So
we
have
22
aea
staff
at
avidloop,
I,
believe
nine
of
them
are
kind
of
traditional
classroom
based
teachers,
and
then
we
have
several
other
Specialists
and
support
of
those
Pre-K.
H
H
I
A
Questions
about
the
board,
so
the
transition
discussions.
Could
you
just
tell
us
who
was
in
those
I
know?
You
said
you
guys
the
principles
who.
F
Else
so
we
have
a
project
management
team,
that's
helping
support
and
coordinate
all
the
work,
so
we
have
our
obviously
our
kind
of
our
content
experts
in
terms
of
our
principals,
if
you
scale
it
into
the
schools,
the
principals
are
leading
those
conversations
at
the
schools
we
are.
F
We
are
all
available
to
support
any
school
conversations
like
we
will
be
having
with
our
Abbott
Loop
staff,
on
February
1st
from
the
district
departments
that
that
group
is
expanding
into
our
special
education
department,
we'll
be
bringing
in
title
six
ordering
in
other
related
departments
to
be
able
to
coordinate
that
the
initial
planning
and
the
initial
conversation
was
just
the
first
first
blush
at
it.
Let's
look
at
this
from
an
overall
scale
and
timeline
standpoint,
and
so,
let's
just
start
getting
all
the
things
out
on
the
table
that
we
want
to
talk
about.
F
The
next
steps
will
be
engaging
in
everybody
in
more
robust
conversations
like
when
we
have
our
full
enrollment
pieces
dialed
into
in
each
of
the
schools,
and
special
education
is
able
to
look
at
the
students
individually
and
look
at
those
services.
So
so
it's
across
departments
and
including
it
also
dovetails
into
our
warehouse
crew
right
for
moving
and
relocating
materials.
It
goes
into
our
operations,
crew.
It
goes
into
our
student
notifications
Team.
All
of
that
is
glued
together
with
our
pmo
team.
F
B
G
How
I
understand
that
you're
working
very
hard
to
communicate
with
staff
and
the
communications
with
families
are
key
component?
What
about
Communications
with
the
students
directly,
because
they
will
be
curious
and
uncertain
and
friendly
and
welcoming
in
all
of
the
different
ways
that
children
are
so
I?
Guess
I'm
curious
about
any
plans
that
you
might
have
I.
B
I,
don't
know
specific
plans
what
what
principles
would
be
planning
right
now
and
teachers,
but
it's
a
little
premature
for
that
because
we
are
so
far
out
and
we're
really
focusing
on
their
learning
right
now,
but
the
students
will
be
definitely
involved
they're,
having
plans
of
things
like
all
the
different,
whatever
they're
doing
for
field
days
or
open
houses,
even
down
to
maybe
each
kiddo
in
the
entire
school.
Getting
a
shirt,
that's
specific,
so
they
all
are
the
same.
So
they're
all
belonging
and
I
mean
they're
really
trying
to
come
up
with
and
I've.
B
F
Walk
through
over
and
have
a
looped
and
looked
at
their
facilities
from
our
core
team
to
help
support
the
the
closure
of
avaloop.
So
everything
from
like
our
technology
team,
our
I.T
aspects
of
it
right
this,
the
curriculum,
the
materials
that
they
have
their
desks
chairs
all
that
sort
of
sort
of
thing.
So
we
did
the
walk
through
on
the
17th
January
27th.
We
are
planning
to
begin
that
communication
that
Mr
Gustafson
talked
about
with
engaging
families
to
confirm
their
school
placements,
especially
the
students
that
were
on
the
Zone
exemption.
F
So
that'll
begin
starting
the
end
of
this
week,
beginning
next
week
and
then
February
23rd
would
be
the
involuntary
transfer
event
or
the
activity
that
we're
doing
for
the
Abbott
Lou
staff
or
the
placement,
their
location
placement
and
then
some
of
the
details
we're
still
working
through
to
kind
of
coordinate
all
the
different
schedules
through,
but
from
from
the
high
level
pieces.
March
will
be
our
district
level
Staffing
event
that
we'll
have
and
then
we'll
have
a
lottery
taking
place
is
running
late.
F
March
Lottery
opens
up
February
1st,
which
is
why
we
jumping
back
why
we
want
to
communicate
to
families
before
the
end
of
January,
but
it'll
run
the
third
week
of
January
or
third
week
in
March
there
and
then
April
and
May
we're
going
to
be
finalizing
those
specialist
placements,
so
the
health,
our
music
PE,
some
of
our
itinerary
staff,
as
as
our
staffing
kind
of
coalesces
towards
the
end
of
the
year.
That'll.
F
But
that
is
the
planning
timeline
that
we're
looking
at
and
all
of
this,
all
the
teams
are
working
diligently
to
make
sure
that
our
students
and
our
fam
families
and
our
staff
are
going
to
be
feeling
welcome
and
engaged,
and
we've
had
conversations
everything
from
from
t-shirts
and
and
Timberwolf
t-shirts
and
night
t-shirts
for
kids
as
they
come
in
and
all
kind
of
the
little
details
of
that'll
make.
This
transition
be
successful
for
our
families
and
for
our
students
and
for
our
staff.
D
A
Well,
I
can't
I'm
not
seeing
any
other
member
Donnelly.
Did
you
have
a
thought
question.
A
E
Nothing
other
than
you
know.
This
is
step
one
in
an
ongoing
process
in
collaboration
with
the
school.
So
this
isn't
the
end-all
be-all
plan,
but
we
wanted
to
make
sure
that
the
board
and
the
community
knows
that
Abbott
Loop
is
on
our
mind
and
we
want
to
make
sure
that,
should
it
be
officially
closed,
that
is
going
to
be
a
very
intentional
process.
A
And
I
know
the
principles
are
I
want
to.
Thank
you
guys
for
coming,
but
also
just
make
sure
we
are
keeping
the
staff
in
a
loop
as
much
as
possible.
I
know
they
have
a
choice,
they
have
options
and
that's
good,
but
they
also
have
opinions.
A
G
F
I
specifically
invited
them
telling
them
that
they
were
going
to
be
welcome
guests
to
our
room,
so
they
I
don't
think
they
were
prepared
to
come
in
and
speak
to.
The
group.
A
Totally
understand
totally
understand,
but
anyway
we
appreciate
the
hard
work.
We
appreciate
the
diligence
and
the
attention
that
you're
giving
to
this.
You
know,
aside
from
being
heartbreaking,
that
we
have
to
do
it.
I
do
believe
it's
going
to
be
great
for
our
kids
and
and
that's
the
message.
I
think
we
want
to
make
sure
families
here.
A
Anybody
else
have
any
any
comments
on
this
all
right.
Thank
you.
Guys.
Good
job
and
we'll
put
copies
in
board
connect
for
everybody.
A
The
end
of
our
agenda-
and
we
do-
we
do
not
have
an
executive
session
today,
so
we
will
just
go
for
our
dinner
break
and
we're
early.
