B
Welcome
to
the
Anne
Arundel
County
Public
Schools,
digest
bringing
you
news
about
the
people
and
programs,
Savannah
Rondo
County
Public
Schools
for
a
ACPs,
it's
the
most
wonderful
time
of
the
year,
with
an
emphasis
on
meaningful
connections.
More
than
83,000
students
were
welcomed,
with
lots
of
smiles
and
enthusiasm
by
thousands
of
teachers
to
start
the
new
school
year.
I
think.
E
All
means
all
that
we
are
meeting
the
needs
of
all
of
our
children,
that
all
of
our
children
find
at
least
one
special
person
in
each
building.
Who
is
their
person?
They
have
a
relationship
with
that's
our
goal,
for
each
of
our
children
is
that
our
schools
are
a
safe
and
secure
place
where
they
can
learn
and
feel
loved
and
supported
every
day
at.
B
F
B
G
Building
a
community
we're
getting
to
know
each
other,
we're
taking
the
new
student
and
they
become
quickly
part
of
our
fold.
I
feel,
like
kids,
feel
very
at
home
and
welcomed
here
right
away
as
well
as
parents.
You
know
come
on
and
we
come
to
this
event.
We
want
you
here
in
the
school,
come
volunteer.
We
want
them
here
all.

B
I
Most
sage,
piece
of
wisdom
that
I
can
give
you
today,
is
that
even
the
best
teachers,
even
the
teachers
of
the
year,
never
get
it
right.
The
first
time
whether
you
are
brand
new
to
education
or
you
are
bringing
a
wealth
of
experience
to
us
from
another
school
system
or
a
career.
Welcome
aboard
this
is
a
very
special
place
to
work.
The
training.
B
The
Amarone
County
Board
of
Education
newest
member
was
recently
sworn
in
by
the
County
Circuit
Court
Clerk
Severna
Park
High
School
senior
Josie
Urrea
took
an
oath
of
public
service
before
a
small
group
of
family
friends
and
colleagues
at
the
County
Courthouse
in
Annapolis.
As
the
preceding
Chesapeake
regional
association
of
student
councils,
President
Joe
Zee
is
ready
to
bring
her
leadership
skills
to
the
boardroom.
Well,.
J
B
E
Underestimate
how
important
the
student
voice
is
when
it
we
come
to
making
decisions
on
the
board,
and
so
we're
so
excited
to
swear
in
our
newest
member
today
with
Josie
I
have
no
doubt
that
Josie
is
going
to
be
an
exciting
contribution
to
the
board
and
all
the
things
we
have
coming
up
for
us
this
next
year.
She.
B
K
B
An
informative
and
helpful
gesture,
Chesapeake
Bay
middle
school,
7th,
grader,
Shelby
Brown,
is
showing
students
across
the
county
how
to
respect
the
American
flag.
She
created
a
simple
instructional
and
informational
video
that
explains
the
history
and
proper
protocols
for
handling
and
displaying
the
American
flag.
My.
K
K
D
Enjoyed
watching
the
video
I
learned,
something
I'd
been
around
Boy
Scouts,
both
as
to
scout
myself
and
as
a
troop
leader
with
my
son,
who
was
an
Eagle
Scout
and
even
I
learned
something
about
the
care
of
the
flag
and
the
folding
of
the
flag.
So
I
think
it's
not
something
that
our
students
even
think
about.
D
B
D
Want
our
students
to
learn
empathy
right
and
we
want
them
to
be
connected
to
their
neighborhoods.
Of
course.
What's
really
important
is
what's
happening
in
the
classroom,
the
teaching
and
learning,
but
we
want
students
have
experiences
well
beyond
the
classroom.
We
want
them
to
be
connected
to
their
neighbors
to
be
connected
to
their
community
and
the
kind
of
work
that
Shelby
and
her
sisters
have
been
doing
through.
Girl
Scouts
really
shows
that
we
really
want
to.
D
K
Uncle
was
my
biggest
inspiration
for
this.
He
is
a
navy
officer
over
in
Japan,
you
Cuzco
Japan,
and
he
just
loved
the
flag
and
loved
respecting
it.
Well,
so
I
decided
to
help.
Have
him
help
me
to
do
this
project
and
it
was
lots
of
fun
with
him
I'm
hoping
to
reach
for
my
gold
award,
which
were
hoping
to
get
to
soon.
B
L
Years
ago
my
dad
went
to
prison
and
my
mom
and
I
looked
for
resources
to
help
me,
and
there
was
absolutely
nothing
so
I
decided
on
my
own
to
write
my
book
and
my
mom
was
like
okay
and
so
I
wrote
and
published
my
book
and
if
I
make
mistakes
to
help
every
kid
in
my
situation
know
that
they're
not
alone
I
didn't
even
think
that
it
would
just
go
this
far.
I
just
thought
I
was
just
some
kid
who
wrote
a
book
I,
never
just
thought
that
I
could
get
my
story
out.
L
B
M
Cares
deeply
about
you
know
our
country,
our
world
were
in
today
and
recognizes
that
the
youth
are
the
ones
that
are
going
to
make
changes
positively
for
the
world.
So
this
has
been
something
really
really
important
to
Prudential
for
the
past
23
years,
really
making
sure
that
we're
honoring
and
appreciating
being
the
forefront
young
individuals
who
are
outstanding
and
doing
outstanding
things
in
their
local
communities.
In.
N
Was
totally
surprised
and
at
the
same
time
I'm
so
excited
that
I
cannot
wait
to
sit
down
with
Madison
and
my
kids
to
figure
out.
How
do
we
want
to
make
a
difference?
Now
we
have
some
resources
because,
like
I
said
the
kids,
they
have
the
ideas,
they
have
the
heart,
they
have
the
passion,
but
sometimes
not
the
resources.
So
now
we
have
the
perfect
formula
and
I'm
like
let's
get
it
done
in
a.

About
20
minutes

Other
special

a
nice
personal
perspective
to
the
event
not.
