B
B
Okay,
we're
here
to
do
board
presentations
with
jessica,
leading
us
on
the
way.
C
Good
evening,
everyone
this
at
our
last
work
study
for
the
budget.
The
board
indicated
that
they
would
like
to
have
some
further
discussion
around
the
board's
prioritization
as
we
move
forward
and
get
ready
for
the
budget.
I
don't
have
it
in
this
presentation,
yet
you'll
see
it
in
june
15th,
but
may
revise
did
come
out
on
friday,
and
so
there's
also
going
to
be
some
funding
that
comes
out
of
the
may
revise
that
this
prioritation
by
the
board
will
help
us
to.
C
C
C
The
next
one-time
funding
and
both
of
these
are
one-time
funding.
So
I
want
to
remind
people
that
when
you
use
it
to
pay
for
people,
it
will
only
pay
for
them
for
one
to
two
years.
C
Sr2
is
a
is
a
pot
of
money
that
we
received
of
about
13
million
dollars.
The
timeline
was
from
march
13th
to
2020
to
september
30th
of
2023.
Very
little
of
that
money
has
been
spent
to
date
and
it
is
available
to
fund
our
goals
and
priorities,
but
for
one
year
only
because
that
is
due
by
september
30th.
C
So
the
board's
role
is
to
set
the
things
that
you
want
to
accomplish
and
then
staff
has
to
determine
the
best
ways
to
achieve
those
goals.
As
I
listened
in
board
meetings,
some
of
the
same
things
came
up
over
and
over,
and
so
I
set
four
of
those
out
for
the
board.
But
of
course,
if
you
have
other
goals
priorities,
we
can
try
to
add
those
in.
C
We
do
have
programs
that
the
board
approved
in
esther
3
around
our
academics,
which
was
lowering
class
size
at
our
secondaries
in
math
and
english
language,
arts,
we've
added
reading
intervention
teachers,
as
well
as
an
additional
intervention
teacher.
However,
the
site
thinks
that
they
need
to
use
that.
So
I
didn't
want
to
the
academic
isn't
on
here,
because
you
have
put
quite
a
bit,
but
you
can
add
that
some
additional
things
there
as
well,
so
with
that
it's
here
for
the
board
to
discuss
it's
not
an
approval
this
evening.
C
A
D
And
I
was
going
to
say
you're,
hitting
on
the
things
that
I've
mentioned.
Reading
was
the
important
one
for
me,
and
I
can
see
that
you're
talking
about
libraries,
there
is
special
reading
teachers
and
I'm
sure
that
we're
covered.
I
just
don't
know
if
that's
part
of
what
you're
thinking
well.
C
To
what
else
they
might
fund
plus,
if
you
recall
one
of
the
prep
periods
for
our
elementary
teachers
is
intervention
with
ireti
in
reading,
rather
than
only
covering
prep.
We
brought
every
school
up
to
one
full
time,
so
they
have
additional
time
at
each
school
to
do
small
group
instruction
and
reading.
So
it's
one
point
something
in
in
every
school:
are
those
people
hired
now
or
we're
hiring?
They
are
hired
now
they
were
in
place
this
year
and
last
year.
Okay,.
C
You
will
see
this
evening
in
the
elo
plan
that
is
in
the
regular
meeting.
One
of
the
things
that
we're
doing
is
we,
the
elo.
The
expanded
learning
opportunities
program.
Sorry
requires
that
we
have
a
program
available
for
our
students
before,
after
and
during
intersession.
C
Our
our
plan
that
we're
presenting
to
the
board
tonight
for
information
will
come
back
on
june.
15Th
is
to
expand
that
to
all
of
our
sites
of
our
elementary
sites
and
make
that
available
in
conjunction
with
our
aces
program.
Mbacr
will
be
running
those
programs
with
us,
but
because
we're
going
to
have
so
many
students
on
our
sites,
the
recommendation
is
to
have
vice
principals
at
each
elementary
half
will
be
paid
the
similar
to
the
s
and
c
how
we
pay
it
now.
C
D
C
We
have
it,
the
seven
of
the
14
are
with
funding
that
is
ongoing
funding
not
based,
but
ongoing
funding.
These
elo
is
also
on
ongoing
funding,
which
is
why
we
thought
to
put
those
two
things
together.
D
Okay,
so
those
are
two
and
I
think
in
mental
health
counselors
to
me,
you
already
have
kind
of
a
therapist
or
well.
We
have
the
rooms,
let's
put
it
that
way.
Let's
go
back
to
that.
We
have
the
the
mental
health
rooms
in
each
one
of
our
schools,
and
then
we
have
the
persons
that
are
gonna
that
are
involved
there.
Correct
yes,
and
then
we
have
counselors
as
well.
So
we.
C
C
Around
wellness,
in
those
rooms
with
our
students,
we
have
a
variety
of
clinicians
and
other
programs
throughout.
This
would
be
in
addition,
too,
and
I
am
getting
some
input
from
our
wellness
team
as
well.
I'm
meeting
with
them
next
week,
along
with
some
of
our
counselors,
to
get
some
input
about
what
they
think
that
we
need
as
well
as
you
know,
if
the
board
makes
that
a
priority
so
that
we
can
bring
back
within
the
budget
what
we
recommend
that
we
do
for
next
year.
So
now.
D
C
D
C
That
is
not
something
that
I
we're
trying
to
fit
that
into
the
budget
now,
and
actually
we
have
without
having
to
use
this
additional
one-time
money.
Okay,.
F
Any
questions
yeah,
so
so
one
of
the
things
that
I
wanted
to
highlight
you
know
pursue
additional
revenue
funding
opportunities.
I
think
it
sort
of
marries
really
well
with
the
discussion
it
was
just
previously
had.
So
I'm
really
excited
about
that
one
I
do
want
to
highlight,
recruit
and
retain
staff.
So
can
we
add
a
caveat
somewhere
where
the
the
staff
that
we
recruit
and
retain
mirrors
the
student
in
the
in
the
demographics.
C
We
can
do
our
best,
of
course,
of
course,
but
again
I
will
tell
you
that
the
teacher
pull
does
not
mirror
it.
F
F
You
know
because,
and
again
this
is
not
a
knock
on
any
teacher
whatsoever,
but
again
there
are
shared
conversations
that
happen
and
and
things
that
that,
where
we
all
benefit,
you
know
our
veteran
teachers,
our
new
incoming
teachers
and
and
as
well
as
the
community.
So
I
want
to
make
sure
that
there's
some
intentionality
around
recruiting
and
retaining
those
staff
as
well
and
that
that
was
the
only
one
that
I
had
that
I
wanted
to
sort
of
bring
out.
So
okay.
G
I
can
jump
in
yeah
cause
to
follow
up
a
little
bit
on
trustee
lewis,
yeah
I'd
love
to
see
the
recruitment
of
diverse
staff
be
kind
of
represented
in
there.
I'm
wondering
if
they're
you
know
if
it
falls
within
that
scope
to
think
about
things
like
pipeline
development,
because
well
our
teaching
pool
may
not
represent
what
our
students
look
like.
G
Our
student
and
our
population
in
the
city
do
represent
those
and
is
there
ways
we
can
as
a
district,
find
ways
to
get
those
people
into
teaching
careers
and
help
foster
that
kind
of
love
of
teaching
and
get
people
into
those
careers
it'd
be
really
great
to
see.
If
there's
there's
opportunities
for
that,
so.
C
There's
a
couple
of
things
there
are
very:
there
are
various
ways
that
you
can
do
an
alternative
route
to
becoming
a
teacher,
and
many
of
our
teachers
do
that
they
are
working
while
they're
getting
their
credential,
but
they
have
to
meet
the
criteria.
I
can't
change
the
criteria
for
the
sport.
It
is
what
it
is
by
the
state.
G
And
then
the
other
general
comment
I
have
about
all
of
these
is
it'd,
be
great
for
us
to
determine
or
define
what
success
means
in
each
of
these
metrics,
because
there's
like
a
wide
range
of
things
that
we
could
be
doing
here
right
so
increasing
student
access
to
libraries
is
that
opening
libraries
one
day
a
week.
Is
that
satisfying?
What
we
intended
here
or
is
you
know
fully
operational
fully
staffed
library?
Is
that
really
what
the
intention
was
here?
G
And
I
don't
think
I
have
too
much
of
strong
feelings
of
where
that
success
measure
is
developed
from
whether
it's
something
that
staff
kind
of
gives
us
to
kind
of
give
us
a
benchmark
or
whether
it's
something
that
we
discussed.
But
I
think
it
is
important
that
we
have
some
kind
of
benchmark
of
what
we're
trying
to
head
towards
and
what
success
looks
like,
so
that
when
we
review
these
things,
we
can
determine.
G
C
But
I
I
want
to
remind
the
board
again
that
the
the
what
is
what
you
guys
do
and
then,
if
we
we
come
back
with
how
we
plan
to
do
that.
If
that's
not
something
that
meets
the
board's
wishes,
then
you
let
us
know
that,
but
once
I
know
what
the
priorities
are,
then
I
can
tell
you
how
we
can
do
that
within
the
rules
that
we
have
and
within
the
financial
resources
that
we
have.
B
C
C
Absolutely
yes,
we
have.
Actually
we
go
a
couple
of
routes.
We
have
short-term
permits
here
which
allow
applicants
to
be
able
to
teach
while
they're
looking
at
different
programs.
We
have
pre-intern
programs
which
says
that
you
have
not
yet
completed
your
120
hours
of
seat
time.
B
F
F
We
have
a
particular
concentration
of
students
and
there's
a
lot
of
funding
out
there
for
it,
and
I
want
to
make
sure
we
say
it.
So
it's
on
record.
So
when
we're
pursuing
funding
it's
not
just
for
structural
or
it's
not
just
for
those
things,
it's
also
to
support
students.
You
know
because
again,
there's
a
lot
of
funding
out
there.
F
We
have
the
concentration
in
the
population
of
students
that
would
make
us
attractive
for
those
funds,
so
you
know
making
sure
that
we're
not
just
pursuing
funds
for
sort
of
all
manner
of
things
and
and
leaving
out
students
and
and
and
our
in
our
teachers
as
well.
So
I
want
to
make
sure
they're
the
highlight
of
that.
So
thanks
ellie
you've
been
patient.
H
All
right,
thank
you
so
much
president
hack,
so
I
think
I
want
to
start
off
with
just
like
a
comment
that
I
think
would
be
helpful
for
my
colleagues
the
way
that
I'm
understanding
what
we're
doing
here.
So
we
have
what
seems
like
maybe
a
lot
to
some
folks,
but
3.5
million,
really
not
that
much
at
all
kind
of
a
drop
in
the
bucket
and
we're
being
asked
to
out
of
these
priorities.
H
C
C
H
Yeah,
no
definitely-
and
thank
you
for
that
clarification-
there's
a
lot
of
nuance
with
this
process,
so
I
think
it's
important
to
kind
of
honor
that
and
then
the
other
thing
is
when
we're
thinking
about
these
priorities.
The
thing
that's
sticking
out
the
most
to
me
is
in-person
instruction
is
the
big
pot
of
money
as
well?
As
you
know,
the
sr2.
These
are
both
kind
of
covert
related.
H
So
I
think
for
me
personally,
it's
helpful
to
think
about
okay,
well,
in
that
legislative
intent
of
this
being
for
to
try
to
get
kids
kind
of
out
of
the
pandemic
and
hopefully
back
up
to
where
they
were
pre
pandemic.
To
help
with
that
slide
that
you
know
the
thing
that
most
gets
at
that,
which
is
what
did
our
students
lose
from
kovid
is
personally
what
I
think
it
should
be.
H
H
I
just
I
fear
that
it's
not
gonna
be
enough
to
do
give
that
kind
of
effort
its
due
diligence
and
would
probably
hurt
us
more
because
what's
spending
five
thousand
dollars
on
recruiting
and
retaining
staff
now
on
paper,
it
looks
like
we
recruit
and
retain
staff,
and
yet
we
can't
keep
black
folks
in
the
district
like
it's
not.
I
want
to
make
sure
we're
setting
ourselves
up
as
a
board
and
also
our
district
up
for
success
when
we
are
spending
money.
So
you
know
just
my
personal
opinion.
H
You
know
pursuing
additional
revenues
and
then
as
well.
You
know
the
mental
health
supports.
I
mean
we
have
so
many
great
stories
that
we've
heard
about
the
amount
of
slots,
but
that
they
get
filled
up
and
you
know
obviously
we're
getting
grants
on
all
sorts
of
different
things.
But
I'm
thinking
about
that
matrix
look.
We
already
have
models
that
work
at
our
elementary
schools,
our
middle
schools.
Why
don't
we
just
fill
out
so
every
school
has
a
check
mark
in
that
matrix
of
what
mental
health
supports.
H
They
have
so
to
me
those
two
for
doing
additional
resources.
If
nothing
else.
That
would
be
the
thing
that
I
would
want
to
do.
Let's
get
somebody
for
a
year,
two
years,
whatever
it
takes
to
specifically
look
at
targeting.
You
know
certain
grants
and
other
funding
opportunities,
but
then,
secondarily,
let's
just
not
recreate
the
wheel
and
add
to
that
matrix
that
we
already
have
and
try
to
just
help
it.
Some
of
those
schools
who
you
know
their
waiting
list
is
full
for
their
telehealth,
so
yeah,
that's
just
my.
C
So
I
do
I
I
think
I
might
have
been
a
little
misleading,
so
I
do
want
to
correct
both
to
the
board
and
and
the
public.
These
are
not
our
only
funding
sources.
These
are
additional
ones
that
I
wanted
to
point
out
that
we
haven't
established
any
use
for
them.
Yet
the
sr
3
did
do
a
lot.
It
was
30
million
dollars.
They
did
a
lot
to
try
to
address
all
of
the
covet
related
issues.
We
had
money
that
was
directed
and
have
gotten
grants
around
all
of
our
coveted
testing.
C
H
C
The
majority
of
the
money
that
goes
in
lcap
is
around
our
signing
bonuses
for
special
education
and
b
cloud.
Our
bilingual
authorizations.
E
C
Not
large
amounts
in
your
lcap
that
are
going
towards
recruit
and
retain,
but
those
are
hard
to
fill
areas
along
with
math
very
quickly
be
coming
in
there
as
well.
That
we
might
have
to
think
about,
and
this
year
to
re,
retain
special
education
and
sdc
teachers
in
our
contract
is
also
an
ongoing
stipend
to
try
to
re
retain
them,
because
that
is
an
area
where
we're
losing
teachers
regularly.
B
C
I
think
once
you
set
the
goals,
you'll
see
it
in
various
places,
so
you'll
see
some
of
it
in
the
elop
tonight
and
we
try
to
once.
We
know
what
the
what
is
then,
as
we
bring
things
forward,
whether
it's
our
our
regular
budget,
our
grant
plans
we
can.
We
can
recommend
those
things
within
the
different
plans
that
we
bring
to
you
if
it
was
something
like
a
grant
writer-
and
I'm
not
saying
we're
going
to
do
that,
you
would
see
that
in
the
form
of
a
job
description.
F
So
a
couple
things
so
one
when,
when
these
items
are
brought
before
the
board,
what
would
be
really
helpful
is
if
you
know,
as
we're
going
along
if
we
can
identify
which
of
these
goals,
that
program
or
activity
or
whatever
it
aligns
with
so
that
way,
you
know
it'll
help
us
to
say:
okay,
well
we're
thinking
about
this
through
the
lens
of
increasing
student
access
to
libraries,
and
then
you
know
this
is
the
conversation.
This
is
a
subsequent
conversation
and
then,
secondarily,
how
long
are
we
going
to
hold
these
goals?
F
This
is
the
annual
thing
we're
going
to
revisit,
or
is
this
something
that
we're
going
to
visit
every
five
years?
You
know
as
a
board.
You
know,
I
think
that
that's
an
important
conversation,
because
then
it
gives
us
a
bench
not
a
benchmark,
but
it
gives
us
a
sort
of
a
plan
to
address
whatever
our
goals
are
and
then
we
can
measure
our
success
and.
C
I
think
your
the
board's
goals
is
something
that
you
guys
have
worked
or
are
working
on
in
your
governance.
This
is
kind
of
in
addition
to
that,
specifically
around
the
money
that
is
coming
to
ausd
recently
right.
Yes,
you
can
change
them
all
the
time,
except
once
you've
spent
them.
C
Obviously,
you
can't
go
back
or
we've
hired
people,
so
if,
if
we
end
up
hiring
and
both
classified
and
certificated
once
you
hire
them
is
a
layoff
process,
I
I
would
never
recommend
bringing
people
in
that
are
leaving
potentially
leaving
another
job
to
have
to
turn
around
and
lay
them
off
in
a
year
or
two.
F
F
You
know
we
should
also
say
we
have
two
years
to
complete
these
goals,
and
this
is
the
this
is
the
path,
and
this
is
what
we're
going
to
do
between
these
periods
of
time
and
then,
if
you
know,
after
whatever
two
years,
if
those
goals
aren't
met,
we
can
then
revisit
either
keep
them
re,
you
know,
refocus
them
or
whatever.
So
that's.
F
H
I
just
have
a
question
so
in
terms
of
what's
next,
how
are
we
going
to
kind
of
see
this
kind
of
come
back
to
us?
Do
you
think
you'll
kind
of
put
a
little
kind
of
note
footnote
when
we
do
get
our
budget
or
when
we
do
actually
make
actual
decisions
about
these
things
of
you
saying
you
know
we
discuss
this
in
our
budget
prior
because
I
just
want
to
make
sure
that
I'm
like
checking.
C
Back
with
it,
so
there's
a
couple
of
ways:
there
is
no
way
from
the
direction
we're
giving
tonight
that
for
june
15th
by
the
budget's
already
almost
finalized
that
we're
going
to
be
able
to
do
what
those
expenses
are,
because
we
are
getting,
I
mean
you're,
giving
us
the
what
but
we're
getting
some
input
on
the.
C
How,
from
a
variety
of
staff,
you'll
see
that
in
a
couple
ways
we
can
do
updates
in
friday
letters
as
to
how
we're
moving,
as
I
mentioned,
if
it's
going
to
be
bringing
a
position
here,
you
will
see
that
it's
probably
going
to
be
a
new
job
description.
C
So
you'll
see
that
in
the
form
of
a
job
description-
and
I
can
make
sure
that
I
tell
you
that's
what
it's
related
to
in
and
plans
if
we
were
to
change
one
of
our
plans
that
comes
before
the
board,
all
of
them
are
almost
all
of
them.
Esther
didn't
require
a
plan.
I
don't
know
why
it's
the
only
one
that
did
not
require
a
board
approved
plan.
So
that's
why
I'm
getting
your
direction.
C
So
if
we
are
going
to
update
and
say
that,
let's
say
that-
and
I
again-
this
is
just
an
example-
the
wellness
rooms-
weren't
successful-
then
you
would.
We
would
bring
it
back
and
recommend
that
we
don't
do
that
another
year,
but
we
maybe
spend
the
money
elsewhere.
They
are
successful.
So
I
want
to
make
sure
that's
clear
and
they're
working
really
well
in
the
schools
that
have
them
up
and
running
yeah.
C
C
It
will
not
include
the
one-time
monies,
because
that
is
not
agreed
by
all
three,
the
house,
the
senate
and
the
governor
right
now,
but
everything
that
I
feel
has
been
approved
by
everybody
and
they
seem
to
be
in
agreement
that
will
be
in
the
original
budget
on
june
15th
and
then
on
june
29th.
When
we
approve
the
budget,
you
know
any
changes
that
we
need
to
make
will
be
in
there.
There
will
be
a
45
day
revised.
No,
no
doubt
because
there
is
going
to
be
a
lot
of
changes.
H
B
C
We
have
our
recognitions,
and
that
would
start
with
ms
abara,
with
our
district
teachers
of
the
year.
J
All
right,
so
I
I
think
you
all
are
aware
that
every
year,
antioch,
along
with
all
other
districts
in
the
county,
participate
in
the
county
teacher
of
the
year
recognition
program,
and
this
year
we,
along
with
leadership
with
the
antioch
education
association.
We
wanted
to
do
something
different
to
honor
our
teachers,
because
the
times
are
certainly
unique
when
we
were
first
and
I'll
just
read
out.
I
know
it's
in
the
in
the
description,
but
the
criteria
this
is
these
are
the
this
is
the
county's
criteria
demonstrates
the
depth
of
content.
J
Knowledge
differentiates
instruction
to
reach
all
students,
uses
innovative
instruction
to
motivate,
engage
and
encourage
student
learning
analyzes
and
reflects
on
achievement.
Data
to
improve
instruction
is
committed
to
fellow
educators,
as
evidenced
by
his
her
instructional
leadership,
and
willingness
to
serve
as
a
formal
or
informal
mentor
maintains
an
interest
in
continuous
improvement
and
actively
participates
in
professional
development,
demonstrates
influence
beyond
the
classroom
and
demonstrates
effective
communication
with
students,
colleagues
and
parents,
and
for
these
reasons
and
the
challenging
last
two
years
that
our
teachers
have
experienced,
we
felt
that
they
all
met
this
criteria.
J
J
It
was,
I
think,
a
unique
time
in
that
sometimes
we're
proud
and
we
don't
want
to
ask
for
help,
but
we
were
desperate
and
needed
to
ask
you
know
our
colleagues
and
each
other
for
help,
and
so
for
that
reason
it
was
our
choice
to
honor
all
of
the
educators
in
our
district,
and
we
shared
that
with
our
county.
J
Yes,
and
actually
I
want,
I
would
like
to
read
what
valerie
luke
the
president
of
the
aea.
This
was
the
letter
that
we
submitted
to
the
county
and
it
said
to
who
it
may
concern.
It
is
my
great
pleasure
to
write
in
support
of
the
nomination
of
all
antioch
educators
for
the
2021-22
teacher
of
the
year
since
march
of
2020
and
the
sudden
closure
of
our
schools.
The
teaching
profession
has
turned
upside
down.
Teachers
had
to
invent
ways
to
deliver
lessons
to
students
in
a
whole
new
way.
J
There
was
no
expert
advice
about
how
to
teach
through
a
pandemic,
but
the
teachers
of
antioch
and
the
rest
of
the
country
rose
to
the
occasion
and
found
ways
to
reach
their
students
and
continue
to
help
students
learn
after
a
full
year
of
distance
learning
in
august
of
2021,
our
school
doors
reopened,
and
we
welcome
students
back
on
campus
this
year
would
be
a
challenge
in
ways
that
we
could
not
imagine.
Students
and
adults
returned
to
campus
with
scars
from
the
trauma
of
the
pandemic.
J
It
was
critically
important
that
the
social
and
emotional
struggle
that
students
had
gone
through
was
addressed
in
order
to
create
a
welcoming
environment
for
learning.
Once
again,
our
teachers
rose
to
the
occasion
in
a
year
of
so
much
adversity.
It
is
only
right
to
recognize
the
hard
work
of
all
of
the
teachers
in
antioch.
The
successes
of
these
last
two
years
would
not
have
been
possible
if
teachers
had
not
worked
together
and
supported
one
another
from
valerie
luke.
J
Is
I
didn't
want
to
spoil
the
the
celebration
by
sharing
that?
But
I
was
we
were
disappointed
because
we
were
hopeful
just
as
these
last
two
years
have
required
us
to
think
out
of
the
box
that
they
could
not
seem
to
deviate
from
their
protocol
or
process,
and
so
they
demanded
one
person
and
and
said
that
they
would
not
be
able
to
recognize
all
teachers.
They
didn't
want
other
districts
to
feel
bad
about.
Not
having
done
so,
and
so
I
know
it
was
not.
A
J
Not
a
response
I
was
hoping
for,
but
I
know
that
there
are
many
people
at
the
county
that
do
recognize
the
good
work
here.
I
think
there's
just
this
one
particular
department
or
area
that
had
a
difficult
time
going
beyond
will.
J
D
H
I
commend
the
whole
team
that
made
that
decision,
because
I
think
that
that
is
unique
and
I
think
it's
just
funny
how
other
districts
are.
You
know
elevated
when
they
do
something
innovative,
a
little
disappointing
that
we're
not,
but
I
just
think
it
goes
to
show.
We
are
super
unique
and
ausd,
and
I
know
our
superintendent
always
says
our
people
is
what
makes
us
different.
I
believe
that
so
great
idea
to
cabinet
and
everybody.
F
C
We
also
have
here
this
evening
with
us
our
classified
representative
of
the
year,
liz
kane.
C
Liz
joined
ausd
as
an
instructional
assistant
at
mission
elementary
school
on
july,
28
1997
nearly
25
years
ago.
Yes,
liz
has
spent
her
entire
ausd
career
at
mission.
Elementary,
the
staff
at
mission
says
that
she
is
an
integral
part
of
the
makeup
of
mission
school.
She
deserves
every
accolade
imaginable
for
all
that
she
does
for
the
staff,
the
students
and
the
families
on
top
of
being
the
world's
best
instructional
assistant,
working
with
all
ages
of
students
from
small
groups
to
one-on-one.
C
She
assists
with
all
subject
matters
that
you
can
imagine.
She
supports
the
administration
and
teachers
by
making
their
lives
easier
and
organized.
She
supports
the
students
by
mentoring,
kindness,
responsibility
and
shows
them
how
to
follow
rules
and
policies.
She
supports
the
site
by
being
part
of
all
events
and
projects,
including
gate
school
site,
council
red
ribbon
week.
Elpac
testing
students,
students,
study
teams
and
much
much
more
liz
has
been
a
valued
team
member
here
at
uausd
we're
elated
for
liz.
As
she
has
announced
her
retirement.
E
C
This
june,
she
will
surely
be
missed
not
only
by
mission,
but
by
all
of
us
here
at
ausd.
She
is
the
best
of
the
best.
She
is
a
model
employee
and
a
treasured
friend
to
many.
Thank
you
liz.
Thank
you
for
being
the
highly
respected
role
model.
We
wish
you
much
deserved
relaxation
fun
and
happiness
wherever
your
journey
takes.
You
thank
you.
I
Yeah,
just
like
my
students,
I
just
wanted
to
say
what
an
honor
it
is
to
represent
the
classified
members
of
antioch
unified
school
district.
I
know
I'm
just
one
of
many
and
there
are
many
who
could
be
standing
in
my
place.
I
just
happen
to
have
a
great
staff
that
I
have
worked
with
for
a
long
time
who
I
love
dearly.
I
And
we'll
miss,
but
I
started
out
with
donna
topping
if
any
of
you
know
her.
So
I've
been
doing
this
a
long
time
and
to
be
at
the
same
school
for
so
long
has
been,
has
been
just
a
real
joy.
So
I
just
want
to
thank
my
principal
mindy,
who
has
always
been
so
supportive
and
and
all
the
previous
principals
and
teachers
at
mission
school.
I
I've
appreciated
working
with
students
that
I'm
trusted
enough
to
be
able
to
work
with
students
and
and
to
help
wherever
I
can.
Thank
you.
C
B
As
well
or
before
we
do
whatever
we're
gonna
do
I
again
start
came
out
of
college
into
this
district
and
didn't
have
a
credential.
Yet
I
was
an
intern
and
all
that
stuff,
but
I
learned
very
quickly
who
ran
the
place.
A
D
B
C
This
evening,
on
behalf
of
superintendent
superintendent,
anello,
I'd
like
to
read
her
statement
good
evening,
I
regret
I
am
unable
to
be
with
you
this
evening.
However,
like
many
of
you,
the
horrific
and
heart-wrenching
tragedy
that
occurred
yesterday
at
an
elementary
school
in
texas,
wherein
19
children
and
two
adults
were
senselessly
murdered,
is
laying
sorrowfully
and
painfully
on
my
heart
as
a
community
and
as
a
nation.
We
must
never
normalize
violence
in
any
form,
especially
when
it
involves
our
children.
Otherwise,
we
risk
becoming
pernicious
and
complicit
in
such
heinous
acts.
C
B
J
K
L
A
L
K
K
K
Teachers,
a
space
for
students,
if
they're
identifying
students
that
are
having
a
bad
day
or
or
are
doing
it
more
of
a
proactive
preventative
measure
if
they're
seeing
that
students
may
be
under
stress,
the
different
issues
that
we
address
are
anger,
frustration,
anxiety,
stress,
fear
and
worry
hypersensitivity
and
an
extreme
emotions.
K
It
is
important
to
know
what
a
wellness
room
is
not.
It
is
not
an
area
for
punishment
or
consequence
or
behaviors.
So
if
a
student
is
misbehaving,
that
is
not
what
the
wellness
room
is
for.
The
wellness
room
is
for
students
to
recognize
that
they
need
a
break
or
for
teachers
to
recognize
that
a
student
would
perform
much
better
if
they
took
a
break
to
regulate
their
emotions.
K
Some
important
information
about
the
wellness
room
and
what
makes
it
work
students
are
generally
only
in
the
wellness
room
for
about
10
minutes
they're,
given
a
timer,
a
sand
timer
that
they
flip
over.
So
they
can
keep
track
of
how
long
they've
been
in
the
wellness
room
they
are.
We
are.
We
do
feel
it
is
important
that
they're
not
out
of
class
for
a
long
amount
of
time.
If.
L
K
K
K
Students
are
trained
and
informed
about
the
wellness
room
through
tours.
Every
classroom
is
given
a
tour
of
the
wellness
room
at
the
start
of
the
year
and
actually,
after
our
big
winter
break.
As
a
reminder,
also,
the
principles
of
the
wellness
room
are
reinforced
through
our
second
step,
curriculum,
which
is
our
social,
emotional
curriculum
provided
by
the
district.
K
The
different
zones
are
the
yoga
and
meditation
zone,
the
reading
and
self-discovery
zone,
the
hands-on
zone
and
the
clay
wall
zone
and
then,
if
there's
private
time
needed
with
the
counselor,
they
let
the
instructional
assistant
know
the
first
zone
is
the
yoga
and
meditation
zone.
This
is
where
students
can
stretch,
relax
or
meditate.
K
The
next
zone,
which
are
partitioned
often
in
the
different
areas,
is
the
reading
and
self-discovery
zone.
As
you
can
see,
there's
chairs
and
nice
little
lamps
and
plants
and
different
books.
The
students
can
read
on
social
emotional
learning
zone.
Three
is
our
hands-on
area,
which
is
the
most
popular
one,
and
we
have
stress
balls,
visual
timers,
a
lego
wall
where
they
can
put
legos
on
the
wall.
There's
a
sandbox
for
sensory
and.
K
The
next
area
is
the
clay
wall
area,
and
that
is
the
zone
which
they
can
throw
a
chunk
of
clay
at
the
target
to
get
a
little
energy
out
or
anger
or
whatever
emotion.
They
feel
they
need
to
express
through
throwing
the
clay
at
the
wall
after
the
students
are
finished
in
their
zone
and
their
timer
has
gone
up,
they
check
out
and
then
they
return
back
to
class.
K
L
K
To
provide
some
data,
this
is
our
last
full
month
of
data
from
march,
so
here's
some
of
our
information
that
we
do
collect
when
the
students

this

What
grade
level
is
either
go
being
referred
or
asking
to
go.
We've
noticed
that
it's
been
fairly
consistent
as
our
older
students
are
definitely
utilizing
it
more,
but
we
do
use
it
all
the
way
down
to
first
grade
and
for
a
few
select
kindergarteners
as
well,
but,
as
you
can
see,
there's
a
good
mix
of
students
that
utilize
the
room.
K
This
is
a
breakdown
of
how
the
students
are
coming
here.
Some
63
are
self-referral
so
asking
if
they
can
go
and
another.
I
K
K
K
52
is
doing
those
hands-on
activities
and
then
the
rest
of
the
zones
are
pretty
equally
spread
out.
This
is
the
one
that
I'm
most
proud
of,
and
this
is
the
question
we
always
ask
students
before
they
leave.
Are
you
feeling
better
and,
as
you
can
see,
96.6
of
students
when
they
visit
at
the
end
of
their
visit,
say
they
are
feeling
better?
B
D
Mr
chair,
yes
before
well,
when
you
get
up,
I
just
want
to
say
that
was
a
wonderful
presentation
and
I'm
sure
we
all
agree
I
was
noticing
I
guess
each
each
room
wellness
room
is
done
a
little
different.
It
depends
on
who
designs
it,
but
they
have
the
same
issues
right.
They
all
have
the
yoga
and
the
kind
of
same
themes,
but
they
just
design
it
differently.
So
I
just
want
to
pull
that.
C
Out
we
have
had
some
of
the
other
schools
go
and
tour
and
determine
what
works
and
what
they
would
like
to
add
and
then
we're
in
the
process
for
all
of
the
schools.
They
are
ordering
their
supplies
and
they
will
be
in
the
classrooms
by
the
start
of
school.
B
E
Good
evening
board,
it's
been
for
like
a
minute
that
I've
been
here,
but
on
behalf
of
nationals
pta
our
national
president,
anna
king
and
texas,
pta
president,
I
have
a
message.
E
E
E
E
E
E
E
E
Last
week,
their
sub
topic
was
creating
your
brand
career
planning
with
a
smile
this
week
or
excuse
me
next
week
will
be
creating
your
brand
welcome
to
the
summer,
as
kids
will
engage
in
an
ice
cream
social
fest,
where
they
will
create
an
ice
cream
sundae
in
the
reflection
of
their
brand.
You
all
are
invited
to
attend
and
participate
and
engage
what
our
students.
L
L
L
Evidence
shows
that
civic
education
raises
young
people's
knowledge
skills
and
dispositions
and
supports
them
in
becoming
active
citizens
as
adults.
The
data
I
have
just
outlined
underscores
the
need
for
all
of
our
students
to
have
access
to
leadership
activities
and
resources,
not
just
the
top
performers.
L
That
is
why
we
want
to
partner
with
you
to
provide
an
exclusive
educational
platform
fast
track
capital,
to
connect
your
students
into
the
law
making
process,
so
they
may
engage
with
current
legislation
and
connect
with
their
lawmakers
with
cutting
edge
technology
and
a
plethora
of
different
resources
and
tools.
Students
can
actively
participate
in
california's
law
making
process
with
the
may
revise
night
now
behind
us.
L
These
are
all
possible
funding
sources
to
spearhead
the
highest
quality
and
most
equitable
civic
learning
opportunity.
There
is
now
I
have
sent
you
all
additional
emails
containing
information
we
already
partner
with
school
districts
in
the
state
and
want
you
to
take
advantage
of
this
opportunity
that
we
have
before
us
now.
Thank
you
for
your
time.
B
L
B
C
As
a
requirement
of
the
passage
of
measure
b
and
measure
c
general
obligation
bonds,
an
annual
report
of
the
cboc
citizens
bond
oversight
committee
must
be
presented
to
the
board
by
june
1st.
This
evening
we
have
velma
wilson,
the
chairman
of
the
committee
here,
to
report
to
the
board
on
our
measure
b
and
c.
E
E
E
The
notice
of
completion,
I'm
sorry,
will
be
filed
next
month,
roofing
project
at
john
muir
elementary
school.
The
start
date
is
june
6..
This
is
a
summer
project
with
a
60-day
duration
roofing
project
at
kimball
elementary
school.
The
start
date
is
also
june
6
with
a
60-day
duration,
the
hvac
project
at
antioch
middle
school.
The
start
date
is
also
on
june
6,
with
a
hundred
day
duration.
E
There
are
currently
two
vacancies
in
the
committee
we're
looking
for
a
member
at
large
and
a
senior
citizen
representative,
I'm
going
to
actually
put
in
a
clip
here
and
say
shout
out
to
k
power
for
her
years
of
service
and
I
believe,
her
years
of
service
almost
equate
to
approximately
15
years
of
giving
her
time.
Talent
and
effort
on
this
committee.
E
She
has
served
three
consecutive
terms
and
is
no
longer
eligible
to
renew
her
term.
She
fills
the
position
of
member
of
a
taxpayer
organization,
so
you
and
the
listening
audience
or
online.
If
you
are
a
member
of
a
taxpayer
organization,
we
need
you
to
be
a
part
of
the
citizens
bond
oversight
committee.
E
The
district
is
actively
working
to
fill
this
position
as
soon
as
possible.
So
once
again,
if
you're
looking
for
more
information
feel
free
to
go
to
antiochschools.net
and
you
can
find
that
information
on
the
website.
Thank
you
so
much.
I
am
velma
wilson,
chair
of
the
board
of
the
citizens
bond
oversight
committee.
B
H
B
I
J
As
you
can
see,
this
is
of
no
cost
to
the
district.
This
is
just
a
new
vendor,
and
so
that
will
provide
service
for
the
school
district,
middle,
school's,
educate
pe
program.
So
we
just
asked
the
board
to
approve
this
service
agreement
with
first
t.
D
J
Yes,
so
we
asked
the
board
this
evening
to
approve
the
service
agreement
with
monique
lane
lane.
She
is
a
consultant
that
we
will
be,
we
hope
to
have
as
our
keynote
address
when
we
return
to
school
at
our
first
staff
development
day
on
august
2nd
and
her
focus.
She
is
a
social
justice
educator
and
has
very
inspirational
in
her
work,
and
we
would
love
to
kick
off
conversations
around
social
justice
and
ways
in
which
we
can
inspire
our
teachers
and
students
and
have
being
aware
and
having
equity
within
our
classrooms.
H
H
So
my
only
question
is
just
because
we
have
heard
some
things
with
pd
days,
so
is
there
anything
different
that
we're
gonna
do
for
the
20?
You
know
this
next
school
year
in
terms
of
just
tracking
how
folks,
because
I'm
staff
development
days
kind
of
I
feel
like
fits
into
pd,
because
I
would
just
like
to
see
you
know
from
the
outset
how
folks
are
liking.
You
know
yes,.
J
We
will
certainly
collect
some
data
on
that
in
terms
of
an
evaluation.
This
is
a
new
format.
We
feel
our
ed
service
department
got
together
and
feel
passionately
about
teachers
feeling
disconnected.
We've
lived
in
virtual
training
for
quite
some
time
now
and
bringing
everybody
together
as
a
community
as
an
educational
community,
and
then
they
will
go
into
breakouts
after
this
to
have
conversation
specific
to
their
sites,
so
taking
the
message
and
kind
of
thinking
of
ways
to
put
it
in
practice
back
at
their
schools.
H
H
I
C
With
superintendent
not
here
this
evening,
we
would
like
to
pull
this
and
move
it
to
the
next
board
meeting.
H
A
Okay
and
I
apologize,
I
need
to
refresh
my
memory
a
little
bit
on
this.
I
was
so
ready
last
meeting
and
now
I
have
to
and
thaw
my
brain
a
little
bit
so
I
did
survey
all
of
the
districts
within
contra
costa
county
and
heard
back
from
everyone
except
four
of
the
smaller
districts,
so
I
think
they
probably
felt
their
their
experience
wasn't
quite
as
relevant
because
they
are
much
smaller
districts.
One
only
has
72
students
so
and
lots.
A
A
I
won't
be
quite
so
free
with
what
they
said.
I
don't
want
to
to
jeopardize
my
sources,
but
most
of
them
reported
that
and
I'm
looking
to
see
if
I
tallied
this
on
here,
I
didn't
print
the
tally.
Cheat
my
apologies.
So
I'm
gonna
count
here.
One
eight
of
them
responded
that
they
only
accept
in-person
comments.
Now
there
were
three
districts
that
accept
comments
via
email:
that's,
that's!
A
A
shared
email,
there's
still
one
small
district
of
1300
students
that
actually
accepts
use
comments
using
an
online
form,
but
they
said
they
don't
get
very
many
comments
and
there
are
two
districts
that
we're
still
utilizing
zoom,
so
that
was
still
an
opportunity
for
them
for
people
to
participate
via
the
they
either
did
in
person
or
they
could
participate
via
zoom.
So
again,
only
three
commented
responded
that
they
were
using
a
centralized
email
address
and
yeah.
Most
people
are
very
glad
to
go
back
to
in-person
comments.
H
Well,
thank
you
for
that.
So
it
seems
like
it's
kind
of
mixed,
but
mostly
folks
seem
to
have
just
stick
stuck
with
the
in
person,
and
so
I
guess
it's
you
know
it's
just
really
in
our
court.
Then.
H
If
we
want
to
take
online
comments,
I
mean
I
would
love
to
re
start
the
conversation
of
the
single
email,
because
I
really
believed
in
that
when
I
had
brought
that
up
last
year,
and
I
think
it
would
just
be
a
way
that
would
kind
of
cut
through
any
additional
work
for
staff,
but
that's
just
my
preference
to
give
folks
a
different
way
to
be
able
to
participate,
and
I
think
especially
given
everything
that's
gone
on.
Even
just
in
the
last.
You
know
24
hours.
H
H
I
know
that
we
had
heard
that
there
was
some
kind
of
cumbersomeness
with
getting
everything
together
or
we
can
just
kind
of
bring
up
that
single
email
conversation
again,
which
we
did
have
some
conversation
about
that
in
the
past,
and
it
just
never
really
went
anywhere
so.
H
B
J
B
A
H
B
H
Yeah,
well
also,
you
know
there
is
a
you
know,
and
technically
government
code
does
not
say
that
the
public
comments
are
for
the
public.
They
actually
are
for
us
to
help
us
in
our
decision
making.
But
I
don't
disagree
with
the
sentiment
of
like
what's
the
point,
if
we're
the
only
ones
hearing
it,
I
guess
the
point
is
just
if
you're
in
a
cast-
and
you
can't
get
to
the
board
meeting
that
night
and
you
still
want
us
to
consider.
L
H
You
know
consider
whatever
the
comment
is.
It
would
be
nice
to
just
be
able
to
have
that
in
some
kind
of
organized
way,
and
also
just
for
context.
If
it's
helpful
city
council,
you
know
we
get
emails,
they
get
emails,
city,
council,
members
and
they're
just
sent
to
them
on
the
city
council
meeting
day,
and
it's
just
for
their
consideration.
It's
not
printed
out
for
the
public
at
all,
and
then
it's
included
in
the
meeting
minutes,
which
is
like
kind
of
the
public's
way
of
engaging.
B
And
I
understand
the
different
ways
of
going
about
it,
but
if
you're
going
to
send
something
to
all
the
board
members
and
it's
the
same
message-
l5
it's
it's
a
publix,
I
get
a
lot
of
emails
at
home.
People,
individuals
send
me
emails,
individuals,
send
you
guys
emails
and
I
don't
have
a
clue
what's
sent
to
you
and
that's
appropriate.
B
But
if
you're
sending
an
email
to
all
five
board
members
through
the
district,
then
that
needs
to
be
public.
That's
all
I'm
thinking.
G
I
think
I
think
I
like
the
idea
of
having
some
way
of
comments
being
accessible.
I
think
accessibility
really
is
at
the
core
here.
I
guess
I'm
wondering
you
know
some
of
the
things
that
sound
most
interesting
to
me
is
you
know
doing
like
a
zoom
option.
I
think
feels
like
it
captures
the
spirit
of
what
I've
been
hearing
in
this
conversation
of
like
this
face-to-face
style
communication,
as
well
as
also
giving
accessibility
to
people
who
maybe
aren't
able
to
be
here
but
still
want
to
have
their
voices
heard.
H
We
also
just
to
kind
of
add
on
to
that.
We
we
did
use
webex
before,
though,
so
that's
just
another
kind
of
consideration.
I
think
that
if
you
know
we
can
maybe
ask
staff
to
maybe
provide
in
a
friday
board
what
that
would
look
like
to
have
that
virtual
participation,
but
just
as
like
a
little
caveat
to
that-
and
we
didn't
have
anybody,
give
oral
comments
when
we
did
do
webex
because
of
the
security
concerns,
and
we
only
have
one
tech
person
here
with
us.
A
L
H
B
Okay,
perfect:
that's
everybody's
understanding;
okay,
fair
enough!
Let's
go
to
14
resolution.
First
remaining.
There
are
none
15
resolutions
for
immediate
action.
There
are
none
16
resolution
for
second
reading
in
action.
None
17
board
policies
for
first
reading;
none
lot
of
nuns;
that's
not
a
religious
thing;
okay,
board
policy
for
second
reading
and
action.
We
have
one
listing.
J
All
right
before
the
board
is
the
revised
policy
on
the
uniform
complaint
procedures.
It
reflects
the
the
new
law
of
the
assembly
bill
131
and
it's
focused
on
allegation,
sexual
harassment,
and
so
this
came
before
you
last
time
for
a
first
read-
and
this
is
here
for
your
approval.
H
C
This
is
for
information
and
discussion.
It
will
be
brought
back
to
the
board
on
june
15th
for
adoption.
Okay,.
B
C
It's
both
and
mrsa
bar
and
I
are
going
to
team
this
one
and
do
a
little
bit
of
both-
and
I
mentioned
earlier,
the
app
x
after
school,
expanded
learning
opportunities-
I
shouldn't
say
after
school,
because
it's
before
and
after
is
a
large
part
of
what's
coming
out
in
the
budget
this
year
and
the
money
that
we've
put
in
front
of
you
this
evening
is
what
was
known
prior
to
friday
and
my
may
revise
right
now.
It's
end,
it's
expected
by
the
may
revise
to
almost
double,
if
not
more
so.
C
I
do
think
that
there
will
be
additional
money
that
comes
out
of
this,
so
the
elo
program
was
intended
for
before
school
after
school
summer
or
intersession
learning,
and
its
focus
is
on
developing
the
academic,
social
and
emotional
and
physical
needs
of
our
students.
The
plan
must
be
adopted
by
the
board
of
education.
That's
why
it's
here
before
you
for
information
and
discussion,
and
then
it
will
be
brought
back
on
june
15th
for
adoption.
J
Having
making
sure
there
is
diversity,
acquisit
access
and
equity,
having
hired
quality
staff,
and
I
think
deputy
romeo
had
shared
earlier,
we
will
be
partnering
with
bacr,
as
they
have
provided
services
to
our
current
schools
that
have
after-school
programs.
We
are
expanding.
Our
our
goal
is
to
expand
those
services
to
the
additional
of
the
remaining
elementary
sites,
making
sure
that
we
have
a
clear
vision,
mission
and
purpose
and
a
collaborative
partnership
with
bacr
and
continuous
quality
improvement.
C
And
then
again,
as
I
mentioned,
I
do
expect
the
revenue
to
increase,
but
as
of
the
writing
of
this
plan,
it
was
approximately
3.8
million
dollars
and
our
our
budget
is,
you
know.
Obviously
it's
going
to
be
ongoing.
These
are
estimates
of
what
we
expect
it
to
cost.
As
we
go
into
our
summer
programs,
it
can.
The
elap
funding
can
be
combined
with
our
aces
grant
and
we
are
doing
that
at
the
schools
where
we
have
that
funding
available
for
our
regular
year
with
bacr
to
expand
to
all
of
our
schools.
C
We
anticipate
about
2.1
million
dollars
to
expand
that
to
all
of
our
schools,
and
there
will
be
some
expansion
to
students
as
well.
The
goal
of
the
e-lop,
not
necessarily
this
next
year,
but
ultimately
is
to
have
it
available
to
all
all
students
that
would
qualify
that
do
want
to
go
through
the
program
about
174
000
is
earmarked
for
summer
school
for
this
year,
as
well
as
what
I
mentioned
earlier.
C
F
Just
a
quick
point
of
clarification,
clarification
so
for
the
budget
plan,
so
those
those
that
three
point
essentially
3.9
million
dollars
has
been
earmarked,
but
has
the
programs
that
are
going
to
sort
of
be
structured?
Have
they
been
identified
or
is
the
plan
for
us
to
come
back,
have
the
conversation
and
then
once
that,
once
once
the
plan.
E
H
H
I
would
just
say
from
when
I
first
was
reading
this
I
was
like
whoa
and,
like
maybe
I'm
a
little
overly
pc,
but
I
think
we
should
probably
like
reconsider,
building
teepees
as
a
way
to
like
uplift
native
folks,
and
then
also
you
know.
Maybe
we
want
to
drill
down
a
little
bit
more
specific.
I
know
this
is
probably
describing
what's
already
kind
of
planned,
but
if
that
is
already
planned,
maybe
might
consider
redoing
something
else
or
doing
something.
H
G
L
J
B
F
Yeah,
it's
okay,
so
you
know,
in
light
of
you,
know
everything
that's
going
on
in
the
country.
I
I
know
that.
Well
I
mean
I'm
assuming
we're
jumping
to
20,
so
I'm
responding
to
that.
So,
in
light
of
everything
that's
going
on,
I
mean
this:
it's
no
secret!
B
G
G
Go
I
do
have
just
a
few
items,
I
wasn't
sure
yeah,
yes,
on
20
future
items
that
I'd
like
to
see
sooner
would
be
our
student
board
member
policy
that
I've
sent
in
and
looking
to
see
what
needs
to
be
taken
for
next
steps
on
that
and
then
some
future
steps
on
our
trauma
and
grief
committee.
Especially
given
you
know,
events
that
are
continuing
to
happen
be
great
to
get
some
movement
forward
on
that.
F
Actually
so
I
do
have
something
for
this
one
I
was
getting
to
it.
It
just
took
me
a
roundabout
way
to
get
there.
I
would
like
to
invite
if
it's
the
world
aboard
the
new
chief
of
police,
dr
ford,
to
our
next
meeting.
You
know
as
we
move
into
summer.
I
think
that
it,
it
serves
as
a
wonderful
opportunity
for
us
to
hear
from
him
around
what
community
engagement
looks
like
what's
his
vision
for
community
engagement
and
if
there's
ways
for
the
school
board
to
get
involved.
H
F
D
B
D
Our
committee
meeting
is
being
cancelled
until
june,
and
that
is
where
we
were
going
to
understand
for
the
city
and
school,
the
transportation
issues
and
the
crossing
guards.
So
we
have
to
wait
on
that.
That's
not
being
you
know,
we
don't
have
that
information.
D
It's
really
interesting
about
what
we
gave
up
a
long
time
ago,
they're
now
trying
to
push
back,
but
how,
in
the
heck,
are
we
going
to
get
the
buses
and
where
we're
going
to
get
the
drivers
number
one
number
two
a
lot
on
the
arts
making
it
the
whole
delegation
was
stop
giving
us
rules,
stop
giving
us
all
these
rules,
and
we
have
to
follow
just
give
us
the
freedom
to
do
what
we
want
to
do.
But
at
the
same
time
the
arts
is
a
categorical
and
it
would
be
required
of
how
to
spend
it.
D
You
know
when
you
approve
that
in
your
own
districts
and
and
there
was
still
more
talk
and
I'll
see
what
else
I
can
bring
back
to
you,
but
I
think
those
two
were
to
me
were
the
really
highlights
of
the
and,
of
course
you
know
we're
always
talking
about
trying
to
reduce
cal
calstrs
and
all
that
because
that's
a
natural.
D
The
other
thing
I
just
want
to
say
is
a
happy
thing.
Is
my
son
louie
had
a
right,
a
great
opportunity
to
have
a
going
away
at
school
at
the
quad
and
he
had
a
great
time
a
lot
of
people.
D
A
lot
of
his
students
came
back
a
lot
of
his
kids
that
he
went
to
school
with
and
so
he's
now
ready
to
walk
off
and
he's
about
to
do
that
in
the
middle
of
of
june,
in
a
sense
that
he
will
allow
the
new
principal
to
take
over
and
he'll
move
back
and
move
back
his
office,
so
that
the
other
one
you
know
so
that
john
can
can
take
over
in
his
place
and
that's
about
it.
I
probably
have
other
things
but
I'll
just
leave
it
at
that.
D
B
Okay,
I
have
a
couple
things
on
this
area
too.
I
have
talked
to
a
few
of
the
board
members
and
you
know
historically,
the
president
of
the
board
does
the
graduation
speeches
for
those
high
school
or
grad.
You
know
whatever
I
do.
B
Diplomas
and
speeches
and
I've
talked
to
some
of
the
board
members
I
haven't
talked
to
you
or
maybe
I
have
I
don't
anyway.
My
schedule
says
that
antioch
high
mary
would
be
doing
a
speech
at
dojo
libya
of
antonio
at
the
dear
valley
of
the
clyde
and
ledu
prospects.
Then
we've
got
two.
Other
schools
live
open
video
anybody
want
to
do
a
double
shot.
G
I'll
have
to
double
check
the
dates,
but
I'm
always
happy
to
do
it
as
long
as
it
works.
For
my.
B
B
The
other
one
is
that
kelly
wants
to
send
out
a
list
to
you
email
to
you
about
what
ceremonies,
what
graduation
that
we
can't
we
can
go
to
because
a
lot
of
these
are
middle
middle
school,
there's
no
speeches
and
that
kind
of
stuff,
so
so
we're
all
it's
covered.
Let's
put
it
that
way
fairly
soon.
Okay,.
A
Yes
I'll,
send
you
I'll,
send
you
just
something
that
you
can
tell
me?
Yes,
yes,
no,
no
whatever
and
then
I'll
compile
it
all.
So
then
we
can
maybe
review
it
to
determine
if
there's
gaps.
If
anyone
needs
to
switch
anything
like
that,
so
there's
no
surprises
yeah.
I.
A
B
And
the
third
one
real
quickly
is
the
out
and
about
if
you're
keeping
records,
probably
like
the
next
two
meetings
before
until
june
to
share
you
know
with
the
reserve
board
dude
they
do
the
tony
harvey
kelly
news
conditions
or
anybody
else
have
any
comments.
I
know
you've
got
your
book
yeah.
G
Yeah,
so
I
can
go
next
yeah.
I
just
have
a
quick
book
to
share
today
the
day
you
begin
by
jacqueline
woods.
Woodson,
it's
a
really
great
book.
I
would
highly
suggest
checking
it
out
and
I'll
make
sure
this
makes
our
way
into
our
ausd
libraries.
G
The
other
thing
I've
kind
of
just
been
reflecting
about,
especially
as
we
get
to
the
end
of
the
year
and
as
I
reflected
you
know,
ending
my
quarter.
I
teach
an
undergraduate
course
over
at
uc
davis
and
just
reflecting
on
you
know
the
challenges
that
our
students
and
that
students
are
going
through
in
general
that
we're
in
such
a
rush
to
get
people
to
catch
back
up
to
get
back
to
normal.
But
we
have
to
you
know,
continue
to
think
about.
G
How
can
we,
you
know,
support
students
and
prevent
burnout?
I
think
you
know
not
only
our
staff
burning
out,
but
so
our
students
as
well
they're,
definitely
feeling
all
the
challenges
of
coming
back
from
the
pandemic.
It
would
be
nice
to
be
able
to
say
that
we
can
just
go
back
to
how
things
were,
but
it
is
a
process,
and
so
I'm
glad
to
see
that
we
are
thinking
about
some
of
those
things.
As
as
a
district
and
I'd
like
to
see
us
continue
to
kind
of
focus
and
think
about.
F
Okay,
so
I
would
like
to
begin
by
saying
happy
aapi
heritage
month.
There
were
a
couple
of
events
that
I
attended
this
this
month
over
in
the
san
francisco,
as
well
as
throughout
the
bay
area.
Additionally,
I
attended
some
some
events
over
at
dallas
ranch
middle,
where
I
believe
it's
well.
It
was
a
girl.
It
was
women's
empowerment
activity.
It
was
really
well
done
as
well
as
the
king.
F
F
That
program
is
doing
some
amazing
things,
and
you
know
some
of
the
young
men
have
reached
out
to
me
since
that,
since
that
event
and
we've
had
conversations,
we've
had
follow-up,
so
that
was
really
good.
I
also
want
to
highlight
the
retirement
dinner
for
the
the
classified
and
certificated
staff.
That
was,
I
think,
was
last
week.
All
my
days
were
running
bleeding
together.
I
had
a
really
good
time,
so
some
of
the
board
members
were
there.
F
Other
people's
had
other
people
had
prior
commitments,
but
that
was
a
really
really
good
chance
to
see
and
share
a
moment
with,
with
our
with
our
teachers
in
classified
staff.
There
was
a
couple
more,
but
my
brain
is
peanut
butter
at
this
point,
so
we
will
stop
there.
B
H
Just
you
know
my
I'm
stickler
for
notes,
meeting
minutes,
but
you
know
all
I
wanted
to
say
no
reports,
just
some
comments
that
you
know
these
last
couple
weeks
have
been
extremely
difficult,
and
this
last
you
know
24
hours
with
what
happened
in
rob
at
rob
elementary
school
in
uvalde,
texas.
H
You
know
and
whether
it's
it's
that
or
you
know
women's
rights
being
dismantled,
whether
it's
you
know
it's.
It's
been
a
very
difficult
couple
of
weeks,
and
so
I
kind
of
just
wanted
to
send
my
love
to
everybody
in
the
district.
Sincerely
thank
the
leadership
as
well.
As
you
know,
everybody
from
the
cabinet
to
you
know
folks
at
the
school
sites.
H
I
can't
even
imagine
what
it
was
like
to
have
to
welcome
the
kids
and
their
parents
to
school
today
and
so
just
kind
of
wanted
to
honor
everybody's
pain,
suffering
and
grief
and
just
know
you
know,
I
don't
want
to
speak
for
my
board,
but
I
can
almost
you
know,
guess
with
a
hundred
percent
certainty,
that
a
lot
of
us
lost
sleep
last
night
and
we'll
probably
continue
to
have
years
of
our
life
shaved
off.
H
Because
of
this,
because
you
know
it
is
a
great
weight
on
my
heart
that
I
take
very
seriously
this
job
that
we
have
up
here,
and
so
you
know
I'm
very
thankful
to
be
a
part
of
this
community.
We
are
ausd,
but
you
know
this
just
goes
to
show
that
these
types
of
things
aren't,
you
know
unique
to
a
certain
area.
H
This
is
a
uniquely
american
problem,
and
so
you
know,
I
hope
that
folks
just
get
hug
their
loved
ones
and
their
families
extra
tight
tonight
and
just
sending
everybody,
my
love
and
and
healing
spirit
and
hope
that
we
can
get
through
these
next
couple
weeks.
Hopefully
a
little
bit
easier
than
these
last
couple
ones
were.
B
F
I
was
going
to
make
the
motion
to
adjourn
in
honor
of
rob
elementary
in
that
I
don't
even
know
travesty.
You
know
I
mean
there's
so
many
words
that
I
could
use
to
describe
it,
but
that
that
reality
is
what
you
know.
I
think
sits
best
with
me.
So
if
it's
will
the
board
I'd
like
to
make
a
motion
to
adjourn
in
honor
of
rob
elementary
and
the
realities
they're
in.
