A
Is
not
here
yet
trusty
rocha
here,
vice
president
hernandez
here,
president
hack.
B
E
F
Tennis
report
yes
good
evening,
so
I
wanted
to
give
you
an
update.
We
had
a
very
successful
historic
lilly
black
college
and
university
fair.
Yesterday,
we
had
several
students
receive
full
scholarships,
partial
scholarships
on
the
spot
acceptance.
In
fact,
we
had.
I
think
we
had
four
or
five
students
receive
full
ride
scholarships
and
we
also
hosted
pittsburgh
liberty,
union
mount
diablo,
unified
and
akalani's
unified.
G
F
F
And
then
I
wanted
to
let
you
know
that
we're
working
on
several
grants.
Currently
we
are
working
on
the
cops
grant.
Oh
good,
the
community
schools
grant
anti-bias
education
grant
and
a
violence
prevention
grant,
so
I
will
keep
updating
the
board
as
to
the
progress
and
whether
or
not
we're
awarded
those.
And
finally,
I
just
want
to
welcome
our
new
chief
business
official.
Miss
liz
robbins
welcome.
Liz
comes
to
us
with
many
years
experience
from
liberty
union
high
school
most
recently
this
one's
here
welcome-
and
those
are
my
comments
for
this
evening.
Thank
you.
H
Please
so
excuse
me,
first
of
all,
apologies
for
being
late.
Anybody
that's
been
on
highway,
4,
realizes
this
traffic
is
it's.
H
So
for
the
hpcu
sort
of
that
event,
will
there
be
announcements
going
out?
I
mean
I've
seen
a
couple
things,
but
I
don't
know
if
that
that
I've
seen
anything
official.
You
know
because
it's
important
that
we
celebrate
these
accomplishments
when
our
students
are
getting
scholarships
when
our
students
are
getting
access
to
higher
education,
when
our
students
are
succeeding.
D
Will
do
that
so
good
evening
board,
so
natasha
thomas,
the
principal
of
thomas
gaines,
virtual
academy,
she's
here
she's
actually
here
this
evening,
but
she's
also
put
together
a
wonderful
recorded
presentation
that
highlights
all
of
the
unique
things
about
the
virtual
academy.
So
I'll
go
ahead
and
let
joe
play
that.
I
Good
evening
superintendent
anallo
board
president
gary
hack,
vice
president
householder
trustee
dr
lewis,
and
trustee
rocha,
I'm
natasha
thomas,
the
proud
principal
of
thomas
gaines
virtual
academy,
and
I
want
to
thank
you
for
the
opportunity
to
share
our
program
with
you.
Thomas
games.
Virtual
academy
is
an
independent
study
program
like
no
other.
Our
teachers
provide
a
fully
comprehensive
program
that
includes
daily
synchronous,
instruction,
both
whole
class
and
small
group.
In
addition
to
asynchronous
instruction
where
students
work
independently
on
the
skills
they
are
learning.
I
Our
first
year
taught
our
school
a
lot
about
the
importance
of
building
community
between
staff,
students
and
families.
Supporting
students
and
families
from
a
distance
can
be
a
challenge,
but
our
staff
works
tirelessly
each
day
to
connect
with
students
during
class,
as
well
as
outside
of
class
and
support
our
goal
of
school
connectedness.
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
As
you
can
see,
art
is
also
something
our
teachers
integrate
into
instruction
to
support
student
learning,
our
sixth
to
eighth
grade
students
are
utilizing
ingenuity
for
elective
courses.
Our
sixth
graders
are
using
a
stem
course.
Our
seventh
grades
are
enrolled
in
a
digital
citizenship
course,
which
supports
not
only
academics
across
content
areas
but
effective
use
of
technology,
including
effective
research
practices,
online
collaboration
skills
and
using
digital
resources.
I
We
are
really
excited
about
adding
our
eighth
grade
career
exploration
course.
Students
engage
in
lessons
where
they
get
to
explore
a
variety
of
careers,
including
agriculture,
architecture
and
construction,
business
management,
administration,
education,
government
and
public
administration,
finance,
energy,
health,
science,
careers,
hospitality
law,
public
safety,
security
and
information
technology
to
name
a
few.
This
course
will
not
only
support
college
and
career
preparedness,
but
we
also
hope
it
will
inspire
students
when
selecting
their
high
school
pathways.
This
year,
social,
emotional
learning
and
socialization
are
important
to
students,
development
and
academic
growth.
I
I
I
Last
year
was
our
first
year
and
though
it
was
tough
and
challenging,
it
taught
us
a
lot
about
how
to
focus
our
instruction
to
meet
our
students
needs,
while
also
supporting
the
social
skills
and
social
emotional
growth.
Thank
you
for
allowing
us
to
share
a
little
about
thomas
gaines
virtual
academy.
We
hope
to
see
you
at
one
of
our
in-person
events
this
year,
where
you
are
welcome
to
stop
by
our
office
and
visit
our
virtual
classes.
B
G
J
Good
evening
and
welcome
back,
I
feel
like
it's
been
forever.
I
am
velma
wilson,
representing
velma
wilson.
First,
I
have
to
start
education
matters.
Thank
you
to
all
the
educators
that
you're
continuously
doing
the
work
man.
We
just
threw
an
amazing
hbcu
college,
fair
that
was
second
to
none.
It
was
good
to
see
the
jovial
spirit
and
how
many
of
the
students
came
anxious
and
excited
to
know
what
their
journey
may
look
like
after
high
school
ausd
we're
doing
what
we
got
to
do
to
educate
our
students
and
it
showed.
Yesterday.
J
Have
you
almost
feel
when
you
saw
kids
getting
accepted
into
universities,
walking
and
grabbing
twenty
thousand
dollar
scholarships
getting
full-ride
scholarships
on
when
they
did
not
think
that
they
could
even
achieve
it?
That's
what
matters
in
ausd.
We
did
the
dong-gong
thing
yesterday,
so
I
just
really
want
to
give
kudos
to
the
planning
team
to
ucan
united
college
access
network
to
all
those
the
college
and
career
center,
kashana
clips
and
tammy.
You
all
just
really
just
made
sure
that
those
kids
were
there
and
prepared
to
do
it.
Thank
you.
Thank
you.
Thank
you.
J
If
you
don't
hear
from
nobody
else,
you
hearing
it
live
from
velma
wilson,
you
guys
really
did
an
amazing
job
and
for
all
the
school
board,
trustees
and
elected
officials
out
there
mary.
I
appreciate
you
being
there
invisible
and
engaging.
I
know
that
some
of
you
couldn't
be
there,
but
guess
what
you
missed
an
amazing
event:
don't
put
it
on
your
calendars
now
october.
J
25Th
is
the
next
college
and
career
fair
it'll,
be
at
deer
valley,
high
school,
make
sure
you're
there
show
these
families
that
you
care
show
them
that
you
are
proud
of
the
work
that
our
educators
are
doing
in
and
out
of
the
classroom
porn
pouring
into
the
lives
of
our
most
vulnerable
population.
Our
youth
don't
believe
the
hype
y'all
we
are
doing
it.
We
are
hashtag
ausd.
J
J
But
I
do
want
to
say
I
also
just
want
to
think
in
speaking
on
education.
You
know
I
have
some,
you
have
knowns,
but
I
want
to
say
it
now.
I.
G
J
Going
to
grand
canyon
university-
and
I
was
glad
to
know
that
grand
canyon
university
has
an
mou
with
the
county
where
it's
supporting
our
educators
and
I
don't
call
myself
an
educator,
but
it's
supporting
those
that
want
to
go
back
to
school
and
I'm
bringing
this
up,
because
I
want
everyone
to
know
that
if
you
too,
and
your
parents
out
there
that
are
wanting
to
seek
an
opportunity
to
get
your
degree
or
go
back
to
school
like
I
did,
look
up
grand
canyon,
it's
it's
a
christian
university,
but
the
principles
and
the
set
mindset.
J
It's
on
your
terms.
I
take
one
class
every
six
weeks
and
as
busy
as
I
am,
I
make
sure
that
I
do
that
and
thank
you,
cly
lewis,
just
giving
that
little
disclaimer.
He
has
helped
me
and
support
me
among
times
where
things
weren't
I
didn't
know
and
christine.
Thank
you
for
those
late
night
times
when
I
needed
you
but
go
back
to
school.
If
you
can
grand
canyon
university
look
up
gcu.edu
anyway,
that's
it.
B
L
Hi,
I'm
a
little
nervous.
It's
first
time
here
good
evening.
My
name
is
vanessa
torres.
I
am
a
mother
to
four
children
to
four
children
in
the
anarch
unified
school
district,
but
I
am
also
an
employee
working
in
fremont
elementary.
The
reason
I
am
here
is
to
advocate
not
only
for
my
daughter
but
for
all
the
rest
of
the
students
that
are
doing
dealing
with
mental
issues
and
we
need
a
counselor
on
campus
every
day
to
help
them
cope
with
their
emotions.
Sorry,
I
get
very
emotional.
L
L
She
has
been
on
medication
because
she
has
been
emotional
distress
every
single
morning
as
soon
as
she
arrives
to
school,
I'm
very
thankful
for
the
staff
in
fremont
because
she
got
transferred
to
the
same
school,
I'm
working
at
that
they
have
been
very
patient
and
understanding
for
her
situation,
but
it
would
be
very
much
helpful
if
there
was
actually
a
counselor
there
every
single
day,
not
only
to
help
her
in
transitioning
back
to
school,
but
all
the
other
students
also
having
such
a
hard
time.
Emotionally.
L
There
has
been
days
where
it
can
take
her
an
hour
to
go
into
class
today's,
where
it
has
gone
past
school
hours,
to
the
point
that
we
had
had
the
need
to
call
a
crisis
team
to
come
in
and
calm
her
down
and
they've
been
there
and
they
wait
past
school
hours
for
her
to
be
ready
to
go
home.
It
hurts
me
to
see
my
own
child
suffer
for
so
much
for
an
incident
that
happened
in
a
school
where
she
was
supposed
to
feel
safe
and
happy.
L
She
does
have
a
medical
team
outside
of
the
school,
but
back
in
july,
when
I
called
this
district
the
day
she
was
hospitalized,
I
was
told
and
promised
by
jason
larson
that
she
would
have
counseling
the
first
day
of
school,
but
that
didn't
happen.
There
was
no
counselor
available
until
the
following
week
and
for
only
two
days
I
understand
we
are
short
staff,
but
we
need
a
full-time
counselor
at
every
single
school
available
for
every
day
for
our
students,
not
just
my
own.
L
G
B
Is
that
great,
I'm
sorry,
it's
4b
go
ahead.
Yeah
yeah.
M
All
right,
hello,
my
name
is
ambra.
I
am
a
first
grade
teacher
at
fremont
last
week
I
spoke
about
frankly
the
neglect
of
fremont,
and
I
want
to
continue
talking
about
that
because
we
have
ongoing
needs
and
it
really
honestly
feels
most
of
the
time
like
we're
the
last
thought
on
this
district's
mind,
I
know
that
other
schools
in
our
district
have
special
mental
health
services
that
we
don't
have,
but
our
need
is
great
at
fremont
and
I
am
a
teacher
supposed
to
be
educating
now.
Don't
get
me
wrong.
M
M
M
One
of
the
other
things
that
I
wanted
to
talk
about
is
the
budget.
It's
really
hard
to
square.
When
I
hear
governor
newsome
go
on
tv
and
claim
that
we're
getting
an
historical
amount
of
money
in
this
district
in
all
districts
that
we
have
apparently
gotten
so
much
money
more
money
than
we
have
ever
gotten
in
the
history
of
this
state,
and
yet
our
budget
this
year
is
smaller
than
last
year
and
we've
had
to
make
cuts.
M
I
don't
understand
why
that
is,
and
it
makes
me
question
where
on
earth
this
money's
being
spent
because,
whatever
it's
being
spent
on,
isn't
helping
me,
I
don't
feel
it
in
my
classroom,
we're
having
to
cut
really
cool
things
that
we
really
liked
like
time
for
kids.
I
was
really
excited
about
that
science
and
social
studies.
M
M
If
you
really
want
to
support
teachers,
there's
two
really
simple
things
that
you
can
do,
and
I
know
they
sound
simple
they're,
expensive
things
probably,
but
there
are
two
things
that
really
make
a
big
difference
and
will
solve
most
problems:
smaller
class
sizes
and
teachers,
aids
in
classrooms,
my
max
class
size
is
29..
M
That's
absurd!
Have
you
met
six-year-olds?
Do
you
know
them
29
six-year-olds
in
one
classroom
with
one
person
with
zero
help
outside
of
that
is
how
am
I
I'm
hurting
cats
like?
Do
you
want
me
to
teach
or
hurt
cats,
because
if
I
have
29
first
graders
in
my
classrooms,
I
can't
do
more
than
heard
cats.
That's
that's
all.
I
can
do
so.
Two
things,
please
smaller
class
sizes
classroom
aids
that
would
solve
so
many
problems.
B
Okay:
let's
go
on
to
district
reports.
B
N
Good
evening,
amanda
freitas
I'm
here
as
a
parent
and
a
teacher,
and
I
keep
coming
and
saying
the
same
things
and
you're,
probably
tired
of
hearing
me
talk
and
frankly,
I'm
exhausted,
but
until
there's
a
positive
change
for
not
only
my
son
but
the
students
at
the
school
that
I
work
at
in
the
district
in
general,
I'm
going
to
keep
coming
back.
N
N
But
the
way
he's
going
to
make
progress
in
speech
is
by
consistency
in
services.
He
was
in
a
preschool
program,
so
his
last
day
was
june,
2nd
we're
now
september
14th
all
right.
He
I
could
tell
you
during
distance
learning
where,
because
we
do
an
outside
provider,
he
made
zero
progress
during
that
time.
N
N
We
have
this
new
process
now,
where
we
have
to
do
a
cares
team.
Before
we
can
sst
we're
making
the
process
really
hard
to
service
our
kids.
I
think
we
think
we're
making
things
better,
but
I
could
tell
you
that
the
teachers
are
defeated.
We're
exhausted
and
when
I
see
my
son's
fantastic
kindergarten
teacher
who
has
been
in
the
district
over
30
years
looked
defeated
at
the
end
of
the
day
because
she
feels
like
she
is
not
able
to
help
her
students
and
she's
not
getting
any
actual
teaching
done
in
her
class.
N
It
breaks
my
heart
because
I
know
she's
fantastic,
and
I
know
that
at
the
end
of
almost
every
single
day
she
does
not
feel
that
way
facilities.
I
do
want
to
say
a
thank
you
that
last
week,
during
the
heat
wave,
our
classrooms,
at
least
at
our
site,
were
a
nice
cool
temperature.
I
didn't
feel
like
I
was.
You
know
sweating
my
skin
off,
so
I
do
want
to
say
thank
you
for
that,
but
our
our
campus
still
looks
a
hot
mess
like
we
got
weeds.
N
N
It
was
great
that
we
got
some
flowers
donated
from
lowe's
that
we
put
in
the
front
of
the
school.
You
know
where
all
the
parents
see,
but
the
parents
aren't
on
campus,
so
the
part
of
the
school
that
needs
the
attention,
we're
not
giving
the
attention
and
the
other
thing
is.
I
don't
know
if
we
think
about
the
time
of
day
we're
sending
people
to
do
facilities
work.
N
B
Okay,
I
think
we've
had
all
the
public
comment
cards
that
we've
gotten.
Okay,
let's
go
on
to
this
reports,
which
we
have
none
and
we
go
into
hearings.
B
D
Thank
you.
So,
as
you
know,
annually
districts
need
to
share
the
information
with
regards
to
textbook
sufficiency
per
the
williams
venezuela
settlement
and
we
have
all
all
students
have
access
to
instructional
materials,
whether
there
were
some
issues
with
some
supply
delays,
and
so
that
created
some
challenges.
And
so
I
know
staff
worked
really
hard
to
make
sure
digital
access
was
available.
When
print
was
not.
We
have
received
we're
happy.
We
have
received
the
majority
of
our
back,
ordered
printed
materials
and
the
rest
are
supposed
to
arrive
in
the
next
week.
D
So
it's
been
a
challenging,
I
think
start
for
everybody
across.
I
know,
at
least
in
california,
but
I'm
sure
also
across
the
nation,
from
just
the
impact
ongoing
impact
of
covet,
but
we're
happy
to
say
that
we
now
have
our
materials
in
place.
B
G
B
B
E
C
B
B
To
help
me
real.
B
B
C
F
Call
you
sooner:
no,
that's!
Okay.
There
was
a
a
need
for
more
security
at
that
school
due
to
a
an
issue.
Oh.
G
C
C
A
C
It's
interesting,
I
just
I
know
that
we
have
that
we
do
contribute
to
the
alternative.
I
mean
the
other
schools,
private
schools,
but
this
one
hit
me
in
the
eye
because
it
was
like
tutors
and
I'm
thinking
wait
a
minute,
but
I
realized
and
federal
money.
Yes,
you
would
have
to
do
that.
Thank
you
for
the
answer.
C
Okay,
go
ahead:
okay,
I'm
okay,
you're.
B
H
I
will
make
a
motion
to
approve
the
the
consent,
yeah
the
consent
items
as
read
a.
E
B
C
P
Hi,
okay,
so
let
me
get
used
to
this
situation.
K
P
Okay,
so
the
powerpoint
is
going
to
go
through
the
unknotted
actuals
for
the
21-22
school
year,
so
we
just
got
finished
closing
the
books,
and
this
is
the
unaudited
actuals.
This
is
how
we
ended
the
year
and
then
we'll
have
our
audited
actuals
coming
up
in
december.
P
P
You
can
see
the
expenditures,
the
categories
in
which
we
record
our
expenditures,
so
salaries
and
benefits,
services,
books
and
supplies
and
capital
outlay.
So
our
total
expenditures
for
the
unaudited
actuals
is
200
almost
226
million.
P
P
P
And
then
we
have
a
board
resolution
which
some
districts
choose
to
do
of
2,
and
so
the
designated
for
structural
or
potential
sexual
deficit
is
28
million
about
5
million
of
that
is
for
special
ed
and
the
other
portions,
or
a
large
portion
of
that
is
for
one-time,
ongoing
expenditures
for
positions
and
programs
that
we've
included
in
our
budget.
P
So
that's
considered
the
general
fund
and
we'll
move
on
to
the
other
funds,
so
this
slide
shows
you
a
summary
of
all
the
other
funds
that
we
operate
within
the
district
and
then,
if
we
go
to
the
next
slide,
we'll
start
each
fund
so
fund08
is.
Is
the
asb
fund,
the
associated
student
body
fund,
these
really
take
place
at
the
school
sites,
but
about
a
year
or
two
ago
we
had
to
start
recording
them
on
our
books.
P
So
that's
just
a
recording,
but
all
the
activity
goes
takes
place
at
the
school
sites
in
their
bank
accounts.
Our
next
slide
is
adult
education.
That's
fund
11..
P
P
This
is
where
we,
our
child
nutrition,
and
I'm
very
pleased
to
see
that
we
have
an
ending
fund
balance.
Oftentimes
school
districts
don't
have
an
ending
fund
balance
in
their
food
services,
especially
during
covid,
when
it
was
harder
to
get
families
to
fill
out
the
free
and
reduced
and
sort
of
the
funding.
P
We
were
feeding
all
students,
so
this
is
this
is
good
news
to
see
that
we
ended
the
year
with
an
ending
fund
balance
to
help
this
year
and
maybe
perhaps
purchase
some
equipment
if
some
of
the
food
services
needs
equipment
and
stuff,
and
such
the
next
slide
is
fun
14,
which
is
our
deferred
maintenance.
That
is
an
important
fund
to
have,
especially
if
we
have
failing
hvac
systems
if
we
need
to
paint
our
school
sites
and
and
keep
them
up
deferred,
maintenance
is
very
important.
P
Deferred
maintenance
is
coming
from
the
general
fund
as
a
contribution,
and
so
we
do
have
some
money
left
there.
So
we'll
we'll,
when
I
come
in
I'll,
either
see
if
we
have
a
current
plan
or
we'll
come
up
with
a
plan
on
what
our
priorities
are.
As
far
as
starting
with
our
deferred
maintenance,
the
next
fund
is
fund
21,
and
this
is
our
fund
for
our
bond.
P
I
know
it
does
show
in
any
fund
balance,
but
it's
my
understanding
that
we
are
pretty
much
at
the
end
of
our
projects
and
so
we'll
probably
be
exhausting
that
once
we
complete
the
projects
that
we're
in
the
next
slide
actually
goes
through
the
projects
here
so
measure
c
we
have
the
middle
school
boiler,
chiller
the
john
muir
school
roof
replacement
and
then
the
kimball
elementary
replacement
will
is
still
not
yet
completed,
but
is
targeted
to
be
completed
in
october.
So
it's
my
understanding
once
these
are
done,
that
the
funds
will
be
exhausted.
P
Fund
25
is
our
capital
facilities,
that's
our
developer
fees,
so
we
do
have
a
balance
there
in
our
developer
fees.
It's
my
understanding
that
we
don't.
We
have
not
gotten
as
much
revenue
in
the
past
in
this
for
developer
fees,
but
I
know
there
is
some
houses
going
up,
so
we
are
getting
developer
fees.
P
That's
supposed
to
be
spent
on
growth
fund.
40
is
reserved
for
capital
outlay,
so
this
is
another
source
of
revenue
or
source
of
funds
that
we
could
spend
on
facilities
specifically
for
facilities,
and
so
we
could
come
up
the
plan
to
spend
that
in
the
future,
fun
49
is
our
mellow
roos.
So
that's
kind
of
an
in
and
out
the
money
comes
in
when
the
taxpayers
pay
it
and
then
we
pay
it
out
and
the
same
with
the
next
one.
P
Is
it
just
reflects
a
negative
revenue
because
of
the
loss
in
earnings.
P
So
our
last
slide
talks
about
the
financial
deliverables
that
we
will
have
throughout
the
year.
We
did
the
budget
in
june
and
then
a
45-day
revise.
This
is
the
unaudited
actuals
and
then
we'll
have
the
audit,
and
then
we
go
through
our
normal
interims
and
then
our
whole
budget
cycle
again.
B
H
So,
first
of
all,
thank
you
to
the
team
for
putting
this
together.
It's
always
as
always,
it's
comprehensive,
so
just
sort
of
something
to
sort
of
chew
on.
I
know
that
there's
been
some
interesting
conversation
around
dedicating
some
focus
on
the
sports
fields
and
things
like
that,
especially
with
the
esser
funds
coming
down
the
pipe,
and
it
looks
like
we
have
about
approximately
seven
million
dollars
in
the
reserves
through
fund
14
and
40.
H
F
O
Good
evening
I'm
valerie
luke,
I'm
the
president
of
the
antioch
education
association,
our
teachers
union,
here
in
antioch,
and
I'm
coming
with
a
question
about
adult
education.
Our
adult
education
program
in
this
district
has
been
shrinking
and
shrinking
and
shrinking
over
the
years.
It
has
definitely
been
neglected.
O
I
don't
know
the
answer
as
to
what
happens
with
this
adult
education,
ending
balance
if
that
goes
into
the
general
fund
or
if
it
stays
in
adult
ed,
and
I
don't
know
why
all
of
this
money
in
adulthood
isn't
being
used
for
programs
in
adult
ed.
I
worked
there
and,
if
you've
never
been
to
the
adult
ed
graduation
that
takes
place
with
the
prospects
high
school
graduation,
please
go
my
first
student
that
I
ever
had
as
an
adult.
O
Ed
teacher
was
52
years
old
and
was
coming
back
to
get
her
high
school
diploma
because
she
promised
her
granddaughter
that
she
would
have
hers
before
her
granddaughter
got
hers,
and
that
was
one
of
the
most
powerful
experiences
I've
ever
had
as
a
teacher,
and
I
just
hope
that
we
can
really
start
to
put
the
focus
back
into
this
program
because
it
really
serves
our
community
to
make
sure
we're
taking
care
of
our
adults.
Thank
you.
B
C
F
B
F
E
C
Was
very
important
that
we
needed
to
one
time
we
did
review
it
as
a
as
a
top
item,
and
I
want
to
continue
to
have
that
as
an
item
that
we
all
want
to
share
and
support
anything
we
can
do
and
I
believe
that
you've
attached
it
to
other
items
that
you
put
down
on
the
superintendent
on
the
on
the
form
you
added
it
to
four
other
items.
I
think
on
your
on
there.
F
The
board's
priorities-
yes,
because
we've
heard
that
several
times
in
addition
to
searching
for
additional
revenue
sources,
increasing
access
to
libraries,
retaining
and
hiring
qualified
staff,
correct
and
attendance
is
one
of
our
lcap
goals,
and
so
it's
very
appropriate
to
include
it.
And
I'm
just
curious.
Do
you
if
the
board
as
a
whole
would
like
this
as
a
future
report
or.
G
H
C
E
Yeah
I
mean
I
have
a
quick
comment
because
yeah
I
do
like
the
idea
of
looking
at
attendance,
and
I
guess
the
way
it's
forwarded
here
is
to
add
it
to
the
list
of
like
our
priorities
and
I
think
it'd
be
worth
in
addition
to
looking
at
attendance,
re-taking
a
look
at
our
priorities
and
maybe
starting
to
think
about
stratifying,
those
and
thinking
about
this,
because
right
now
we
have
like
a
number
of
things
that
are
either
process
metrics
or
outcome
metrics.
E
So
attendance
is
an
outcome
measure,
but
things
like
increasing
student
access
to
libraries
and
increasing
mental
health
supports
is
how
we
accomplish
things.
The
process
metric
that
you
know
in
theory
should
also
help
with
things
like
attendance,
so
I
think
we
should
take
a
look
at
this
and
kind
of
make
sure
that
we
have
our
priorities
aligned
or
maybe
even
you
know,
create
and
start
looking
at
things
in
that
way
of
you
know
these
are
the
process
metrics,
and
these
are
the
outcomes.
E
So
this
is
how
we're
going
to
get
the
outcomes
that
we're
looking
for.
I
I
think,
it'd
be
worth
to
try
to
make
our
idea
of
how
we
prioritize
a
little
bit
more
robust.
H
So
from
understanding
trustee
hernett
is
like
operationalizing
or
in
in
sort
of
ordering
our
goal
our
priorities
in
a
way
that
would
systematize
them.
F
Absolutely-
and
we
can
have
that
discussion
as
well
at
the
next-
we
can
do
two
things
we
can
have
a
report
on
attendance,
but
then
also
as
an
item
for
discussion.
So
the
board
can
get
a
little
deeper
just
about
the
board's
priorities.
F
B
K
K
P
P
Yes,
this
is
an
annual
resolution
for
the
appropriation
limit
calculation
and
it's
done
every
year
with
the
unaudited
actuals.
B
You
have
a
motion,
a
second
second
all
people
say
hi
fastest
four-zero.
Let's
go
to
12-b
resolution
2022-23-27
authorizing
instructors
to
teach
outside
credential
authorization
for
the
22-23
school
year.
G
K
Yes,
good
evening,
this
resolution
does
call
for
many
of
our
currently
qualified
teachers
to
teach
outside
their
credentials.
So
if
they
teach
a
one-off
classroom,
potentially
a
computer
applications
classroom,
they
may
not
be
specifically
qualified
for
that,
but,
given
this
authority
under
education
code,
our
currently
qualified
teachers
can
also
teach
these
classes.
So
we
request
approval
for
many
of
our
our
teachers
to
continue
to
do
this
within
our
schools.
H
Same
one,
every
time,
and
so
these
just
for
public
consumption,
these
courses
that
they
would
teach
that
would
be
within
the
catchment
of
the
teachers
area
of
expertise.
We
wouldn't
have
a
philosophy.
Teacher
teaching
calculus,
for
example,.
K
Absolutely
so
again,
they
work
with
the
site
administrators.
They
work
with
the
human
resources
department,
whether
they've
qualified
by
content
area,
knowledge
or
personal
expertise.
We
ensure
that
the
individuals
teaching
the
classrooms
have
the
experience
and
knowledge
to
give
the
content
to
the
students
and.
K
B
D
Yes,
it
is
for
information
only
this
evening.
I
don't
know
if
you
recall,
but
back
in
february
2021,
I,
the
board,
had
approved
this
board
policy
in
response
to
how
students
were
being
impacted
through
grades
and
such
during
covet
and
in
school
closures
in
particular,
and
so
what
we
are
bringing
forward
this
evening
for
consideration
and
information
is
we
have
updated
revised
this
plan.
D
What
we
had
heard
loud
and
clear
from
our
high
school
counselors
is
that
even
the
freshmen
and
sophomores
that
were
going
to
school
during
distance
learning,
they
are
also
they
had
a
tremendous
impact
to
their
credit
that
were
earned
during
that
period
of
time,
and
so
they
have
deep
concern
in
trying
to
just
eliminate
these
options
for
students
to
graduate
and
so
what
taking
their
feedback.
What
we
had
decided
to
do
was
to
the.
If
you
recall,
the
original
policy
included
the
220,
which
is
our
regular
district
requirement.
D
We
had
a
180
a
to
g
requirement
and
then
we
have
the
california
minimum
130,
and
so
what
we've
done
with
this
is
we
we've
removed
the
130,
but
we've
maintained
the
180,
so
we're
kind
of
backing.
Our
way
back
to
what
our
expectation
is
for
a
district
while
still
having
some
thought
and
care
for
the
students,
the
180
also
has
some.
There
were
some
minor
changes
in
consideration
of
students
that
are
in
our
continuation
programs
to
give
a
little
bit
more
flexibility
for
them
so
that
they
can
attain
their
high
school
graduation
requirements.
E
Yeah,
I
do
have
a
question:
do
we
have
a
sense
of
how
many
students
may
potentially
be
affected
by
the
removal
of
that
130.
D
What
we're
seeing
is
they
think
with
the
180
there's
it's
going
to
create
a
better
opportunity,
the
one,
what
the
students
that
I
think
what
they're
seeing
is
more
typical,
what
we
would
see
with
kids
that
need
to
go
to
continuation
for
credit
recovery.
So
that's,
I
think,
what
we're
trying
to
balance
is
we're
not
going
to
have
the
130
there
forever,
because
our
ultimate
goal
is
that
we
are
bringing
our
students
back
to
what
we
can
that
what
the
board
in
the
school
district
holds
as
the
220
graduation
requirement.
D
E
Yeah,
I
just
want
to
make
sure
we're
not
potentially
being
a
little
premature,
because
the
effects
of
the
pandemic-
I
mean-
I
think
you
could
argue-
they're
still
happening
right
now
to
many
of
our
students
and
that
when
you
know
them
underscoring
the
importance
of
a
high
school
diploma.
If
you
don't
have
a
high
school
diploma,
your
chances
of
finding
opportunities
and
making
it
through
life
are
significantly
diminished
and
so
making
sure
that
we're
balancing
that
piece
out.
But
yes,
I
do
agree
that
you
know
the
more.
H
So
I
did
have
a
question
so
do
we
have
sort
of
an
estimated
time
frame
around
how
long
this
policy
would
live.
D
It's
really
up
to
the
board,
so
I
don't
know
if
you
recall
the
timing
of
things.
So
when
we
we
recreated,
our
policy
was
february
2021,
but
then
I
think
gavin
newsom
and
the
and
cde
in
that
summer
also
realized.
Oh,
my
gosh.
We
have
all
these
students
that
are
now
facing
difficulties
with
graduation
requirements,
so
they
instated
essentially
what
we
did
there.
The
language
in
that
was
that
it
was
just
first
for
graduates
through
2022,
and
so
I
don't
know
if
the
state
has
done
any
revisions
to
that.
D
But
we
felt
that
it
was
still
important
that
we
maintain
some
support
to
students
that
were
struggling,
and
so
this
is
kind
of
this
is
really
up
to
the
board.
But
we
are
putting
this
recommendation
that
we
do
want
to
maintain
and
and
try
to
start
to
move
back
to
what
we
consider
to
be
our
our
goals
and
targets
for
our
students
and
then
we've
also.
In
addition
to
all
of
this
I
mean
the
amount
of
credit
recovery
offerings
that
we
are
now
able
to
do
through
edgenuity
we're
doing
everything
possible.
We've
expanded.
D
I
think
we
had
a
wonderful
showing
at
summer
program
this
this
year
for
credit
recovery,
and
so
we
got
a
lot
of
students
moving
along
and
we
continue
to
offer
that
throughout
the
year.
So
this
isn't
the
only
remedy
and
support
to
students,
but
this
is
a
big
statement.
I
think
from
antioch
to
say
that,
yes,
we
still,
we
still
recognize
that
students
are
struggling
and
we
want
to
provide
that
that
opportunity.
H
Yeah,
so
thank
you
for
that,
and
it's
also
you
know
I
do
want
to
highlight
that
it's
a
balance
right,
so
the
goal
is
to
prepare
the
kiddos
for
the
next
phase
in
life,
whatever
it
is,
whether
it's
military,
whether
it's
you
know
higher
education,
whether
it's
a
trade
whatever
it
is,
we
want
to
prepare
them,
and
so
we
want
to
make
sure
that
whatever
degree
they're
getting
it's
prepared
yeah,
it's
preparing
them
yeah
I'll.
Just
leave
that.
Thank
you.
B
A
B
J
I
do
want
to
just
say
congratulations
on
doing
this
and
thank
you
for
making
it
equitable
and
really
being
transparent
as
a
mom.
Who
now
has
now
a
graduating
senior
at
san
diego
state,
she
served
as
the
student
representative
two
years
in
a
row.
J
She
tried
to
do
all
four,
but
you
know
it
didn't
allow
for
her
to
start
at
ninth
grade
level,
but
I
want
to
say
it's
important
that
our
students
have
the
opportunity
to
understand
the
dynamics
of
what
it
you
all
are
doing,
and
the
dynamics
of
what
really
makes
education
pop,
but
beyond
that.
It's
also
important
for
the
adults
in
the
community
at
large
to
really
truly
understand
what
it
means
to
serve
in
education.
J
Education
is
such
a
non-thinkless
position
and
I
know
a
lot
of
you.
You
hear
me
so
much
a
champion
and
I'm
so
proud
of
your
tenacity
to
lead
and
to
serve
our
children
and
giving
them
an
opportunity
to
see
firsthand
of
what's
going
on
and
give
making
it
equitable
and
fair
is
what's
important
to
me
and
the
time
is
now
to
build
our
leaders.
J
B
B
G
G
K
E
Yep
I
got
two
I
think
one.
I
think
we
need
a
focused
discussion
on
opening
libraries
again
and
then
I
also
think
I'd
love
to
see
some
movement
on
the
trauma
and
grief
resources
committee,
because
I
think
it's
becoming
increasingly
frustrating
to
hear
all
these
challenges
that
our
students
are
having
and
us
not
taking
action.
H
So
I
know
that
there's
a
movement
on
the
jrotc,
but
maybe
a
report-
I
know
we
had
it
in
friday
board
but
just
sort
of
to
bring
awareness
to
the
public.
You
know
because
I
think
there's
a
lot
of
interest.
I've
gotten
stopped
in
supermarkets
and
thanked
for
having
that
conversation,
and
so
you
know
I
definitely
want
to
make
sure
that
we
are
keeping
on
the
ball
with
that.
So
yeah.
B
C
Since
we've
heard
about
adult
education,
it
has
been
an
interest
of
mine
as
well.
Have
we
we
haven't,
had
a
presentation?
Have
we
I
mean
if
we
missed
it.
C
Know
it
seems
that
when
I
talked
about
it
in
the
past,
it's
always
been
the
confinement
of
that
location
not
being
able
to
spread
out,
because
I
really
like
to
see
more
engagement
for
parents,
because
that
is
where
our
families
are.
They
don't
want
to
go
to
lmc
it's
too
far.
It's
not
an
appropriate
location
for
our
families,
especially
if
we're
going
in
for
a
second
language
and
hospital
availability
is
the
issue.
I
know
the
model.
C
G
B
I
G
B
Many
ways,
although
I
was
a
teacher
but
it's
classified,
does
and
librarians
are
terribly
important
in
the
library
it's
always
important.
So
I
would
like
to
have
some
kind
of
report
on
the
library
going
forward
I'll.
B
H
Obviously
we
want
school
districts,
our
school
sites
to
have
libraries,
but
if
we
can
develop
some
sort
of
relationship
with
this
with
an
existing
county
or
you
know,
regional
library,
I
think
that
that
could
be
a
step
in
that
direction,
because
once
we
get
those
libraries
librarians
assuming
you
know,
transference
of
books
and
all
the
different
opportunities,
because
I
think
there's
funding
that
also
may
be
associated
with
partnering
with
county
county
libraries
and
things
like
that.
So
maybe
having
the
conversation
around
that.
B
F
We
do
have
an
announcement
I
was
reminded.
I
was
told
to
remind
the
board
that
we
have
tomorrow
evening
our
recruitment
first
recruitment,
fair
right
here.
We
have
four
universities
attending
and
the
goal
is
to
take
people
who
may
not
know
that
they
qualify
for
a
sub
permit
or
a
teaching
permit
and
to
qualify
them
on
the
spot
or
give
them
direction.
F
G
B
Reports
and
comments
from
board
members
yep
I'll
start.
H
So
in
in
in
the
consent
items
I
was
noticing
that
there
were
a
couple
people
that
sort
of
are
resigning
or
sort
of
transitioning
jobs.
Joseph
gangler
is
one
you
know
not
to
put
you
on
the
spot,
but
you
know
I
wanted
to
publicly
thank
you
for
the
work
and
effort
that
you've
put
in
over
the
last
couple
years.
I've
been
a
board
member
two
years,
so
thank
you
for
that
and
then
also
principal
oyabade.
H
I
have
a
great
relationship
with
with
her
and
I'd,
be
really
interested
to
see
or
to
hear
some
sort
of
exit
interview
or
something
like
that
around,
because
it
was
a
from
what
I
understand
in
reading
that
I
I
have
no
details
from
reading
this.
It
seems
like
it
was
a
resignation.
It's
mid-year
like
what
you
know
if,
if
there's
a
way
to
figure
out
something,
because
what
we
don't
want
to
happen
is
for
others
to
put
in
letters
of
resignation.
H
So
if
there's
a
way
to
have
a
conversation
around
that,
I
think
that'd
be
really
helpful
and
I
do
want
to
send
a
special
shout
out
and
a
thank
you
to
to.
I
call
her
bookie
prince
dr
olyabade
she's.
You
know,
as
far
as
I
know,
she's
done
a
a
phenomenal
job,
engaging
students
and
doing
a
lot
of
different
programming.
So.
E
Yeah,
I
can
share
a
little
bit
some
of
the
things
I've
been
working
on
over
the
past
month
or
so
since
our
last
meeting
is
I've
started
doing
a
lot
more
work
with
the
county
on
tobacco
cessation
and
working
where
their
tobacco
association
work
group
and
trying
to
combine
a
lot
of
my
my
interests
and
a
lot
of
my
skill
sets
where
it
collides
with
healthcare
and
education.
E
So
it's
been
really
great
to
be
there
and
find
ways
to
kind
of
reduce
some
of
the
tobacco
usage
for
our
students,
because
we
know
that
the
best
way
to
prevent
the
health
complications
of
smoking
and
tobacco
products
is
to
stop
people
from
doing
it
in
the
first
place.
So
that's
been
really
cool
and
I
look
forward
to
sharing
more
things
as
I
continue
to
develop
my
role
with
those
groups.
The
other
thing
I
want
to
highlight,
as
I've
been
doing,
to
continue
conversations
on
the
importance
of
libraries
books
and
reading
is.
E
I
always
try
to
highlight
a
book
that
I
really
enjoy
and
recommend
that
people
read
today
is
the
undefeated
by
kwame,
alexander
and
khadir
nelson.
It
highlights
the
stories
of
a
lot
of
black
figures
in
history
and
does
it
through
poems
that
really
highlights
a
lot
of
these
famous
quotes
and
things
that
we've
heard
throughout
our
time.
C
I
just
want
to
shout
out,
because
I
did
go
to
the
university
or
to
the
all
the
colleges,
the
black
colleges.
It
was
wonderful
to
see
the
amount
of
students,
the
energy
that
was
there
excitement,
and
I
was
very
pleased
that
our
staff,
again,
I
need
to
say
their
names,
miss
lindsay.
Can
you
help
me
because
I
can't
remember
the
right
names.
C
G
C
So
impressed
by
those
students
and
how
much
effort
they
made
so
I
just
wanted
to
say
I
understand
it's
going
to
be
rotated.
Maybe
it
might
not
be
here
next
year.
I
understand
it
might
go
to
pittsburgh,
but
it's
okay.
The
amount
of
involvement
from
the
other
districts
is
worth
seeing
all
of
them
coming
together
and
I
look
forward
to
attending
again.
Thank
you.
H
So,
as
trustee
hernandez
was
speaking
about
tobacco
cessation
in
my
day
day
job
with
all
my
spare
time,
I
actually
have
a
day
job.
So
I
work
a
lot
in
substance
use
and
so
I'd
like
to
have
at
some
point
some
conversation
around
substance
use
for
kiddos,
because
although
we
may
not
assume
that
kiddos
are
having
challenges
with
substance
use,
unfortunately,
that's
not
the
reality.
H
So
maybe
some
conversation-
I
don't
know
what
that
looks
like,
but
some
conversation
around
you
know,
substance
use
and
getting
the
the
young
people
our
kiddos
supports
around
substance
use
tobacco's
won,
but
we're
also
seeing
increases
in
fentanyl
use.
I
think
there
was
a
case
a
year
ago,
earlier
this
year,
where,
like
20
pounds
were
kiddos,
were
caught
at
a
high
school
in
oakland
with
20
pounds
of
fentanyl,
or
something
like
that.
Well,
something
ridiculous.
So
you
know
maybe
having
some
of
those
conversations
might
be
beneficial.
