J
J
There
will
be
more
information
coming
coming
out
out
something
that
certainly
looks
a
little
bit
prettier
than
this.
So
you
guys
are
getting
a
little
preview
ahead
of
some
other
folks,
but
you
can
see
that,
if
you're
familiar
with
there
priorities
from
previous
years
that
they
have
kept
many
of
the
same
there's
been
some
minor
wording.
J
Changes
just
to
really
hyper
focus
and
some
certain
areas,
so
you
might
see
as
an
example
that
neighborhood
and
climate
resilience
is
a
a
priority
for
this
year
and
what's
different
this
year.
Is
that
some
time
to
really
come
up
with
some
goal
statement?
So
while
there
are
these
broad
categories,
they
took
time
this
year
too,
to.
J
Towards
so
that's
both
through
their
advisory
committees
as
well
as
city
staff,
so
wanted
you
all
to
know
that
city
staff
has
gone
through
the
annual
work
plan
development
process.
We've
got
projects
that
the
has
a
tional
level
projects
that
are
at
the
departmental
level
and
we're
tracking
how
those
move
forward
the
priorities
that
counsel
has
established
each
year.
So
there's
a
lot
of
exciting
things
coming
down
the
line
and
that
area
look
forward
to
showing
you
some
more
accessible
things
that
we
have.
That
will
be
posted
to
the.
J
We've
heard
from
communities
about
things
that
are
really
important
to
communities
that
were,
it
was
perfect.
It
was
perceived
or
felt
that
some
of
those
things
were
getting
overlooked,
as
we
really
focused
attention
on
these
big
challenging,
challenging
things
that
our
community
and
communities
across
the
the
country
are
facing,
for
example,
homelessness,
affordable
housing,.
J
J
Reimagining,
public
safety,
homelessness
strategies,
equitable
and
affordable
housing
and
the
stability
of
that
housing
and
then
neighborhood
and
climate
resilience
resilience.
So
you
all
have
this
now
it'll
be
made
available
as
you
take
your
next
steps
and
you're
working
through
your
annual
planning
retreat.
Also.
J
J
Boards
and
commissions,
and
that
that
there
have
been
times
where
boards
and
commissions
felt
like
they
weren't
quite
sure,
about
the
direction
they
should
be
taking,
or
why
the
recommendations
that
they've
moved
forward
or
the
advice
that
they've
moved
forward
hasn't
been
prioritized.
So
the
idea
is
to
align
all
all
of
these
things
so
that
everybody
can
see
how
the
work,
the
hard
work
that
you
all
are
doing
is
volunteers
is
being
integrated
into
the
work
that
the
communities
to
him.
Nats
next
part
is
a
quiz
who
could
I'm.
J
J
You
can
see
high
level
what
those
priorities
are
and
we'll
stay
in
communication
with
with
you,
when
all
of
that
information
has
been
uploaded
to
the
website,
so
that
you
can
then
be
great
amps
as
you're
doing
work
in
your
communities
and
making
sure
that
folks
know
where
those
priorities
are
and
they
can
access
them
on
the
web
site
and
the
same
I
have
any
questions
about.
Those
priorities
are
the
goal.
J
D
Bullet
just
mentions
neighborhood.
I
was
trying
to
sort
of
determine
where
that
fits
fits
into
some
of
those
priorities,
neighborhood
and
clients,
and
in
most
and
then
the
senate's
actually
saves
to
flatter
climate
and
sustainability.
So
I'm
not
sure
if
there's
more
to
that,
if
there's
a
direct
link
to
what
we're
doing
and
how
we
can
help
me
city,
council
members,
those
goals
is
there.
J
Happy
to
provide
any
insight
that
we
might
have,
because
I
would
say
without
question.
The
festival
of
neighborhoods
is
directly
related
to
neighborhood
and
climate
resilience,
and
so
just
the
fact
that
we're
building
bonds
that
you
all
are
building
bonds.
You
are
making
sure
that
people
have
access
to
information
that
builds
resilience
in
a
community
and
if
we
excitement
impacts
that
cohesion
in
your
community
does.
J
J
A
A
A
Find
out
what
I'm
able
to
do,
what
the
neighbors
in
our
neighborhoods
you
want
if
it's
something
that
needs
to
come,
because
all
we
do
is
make
recommendations
and
if
they're
sound
recommendations,
they
get
reviewed
and
they
make
it
to
city
council.
So
that's
why
we
have
a
retreat
and
that's
how
we
turn
your
information
once
a
about
make
sure
that
you
are
all
kind
of
know
know
that
this
is
what
we
do.
So
we
have.
I
encourage
you
to
have.
F
F
F
F
Asheville
came
and
played
in
that
park.
He
may
not
live
there,
but
I'd
look
at
the
front
door
of
my
house
occasionally
and
I
live
up
the
street
from
grace.
Covenant.
Presbyterian,
church
and
he'd
come
a
line.
A
rainbow
line
of
kids
up
the
street
headed
for
the
park
and
about
an
hour
later
you'd
see
him
coming
back.
F
F
F
F
L
L
I
am
meeting
people
that
I
never
would
have
met
through
this
process
and
I
plan
to
have
relationships
across
the
city
for
the
rest
of
my
life
they're
being
developed
through
this
were
building
community
jenny.
Pickens
is
art
and
special
features
coordinator,
that's
candace's,
aunt,
she's,
a
very
talented
artist
in
this
community.
She
was
on
site
today.
Talking
with
playgrounds
by
leather
is
representative
of
how
she
can
incorporate
art
into
this
place
around
that
was
important
to
candace
will
be
putting
dove
into
the
playground
which
were
tattooed
into
canada.
L
She
had
a
nice
dove
tattoos,
so
we're
putting
those
symbols
in
there
putting
colors
that
were
important,
that
candice
into
the
playground,
and
that's
what
I'm
saying
we're
literally
building
community.
Now,
it's
not
just
a
playground,
we're
building
something
in
honor
of
candace
pickens
life
and
I'm
working
with
her
mother.
Her
mother
was
on
site
today
and
it's
meaningful.
It's
not
just
a
playground.
L
L
L
At
this
point,
my
wife
is
going
to
be
very
happy
when
it's
over
because
literally
I've
been
working
since
8:30
this
morning,
I'm
going
to
go
home
and
see
my
wife
a
little
bit
have
another
meeting
tomorrow
morning
at
8:30,
I've
been
working
on
this
every
week
since
august
of
t21
to
get
this
playground
rebuilt
and
with
the
renaming
of
the
park,
it's
a
lot
more
than
just
a
park.
So
it's
in.
D
L
A
A
Asheville
schools
been
there,
maybe
be
able
to
get
some
youth
to
come
out
and
help
on
that
day
cigarette.
So
I
want
to
take
these
and
then
I'll
take
some
to
united
way
because
just
very
important,
it's
very
important,
and
I
appreciate
the
fact
that
you
taking
the
time
you've
done
a
lot
of
work.
You've
done
a
lot.
L
A
A
A
Meeting
in
september-
and
we
did
that
because
we
had
so
many
people
that
came
off
and
some
new
people
that
come
on
and
we
want
them
to
get
with
get
a
chance
to
be
able
to
see
what's
going
on
and
not
just
be
in
the
dark
by
having
a
reading
and
and
having
our
annual
retreat
in
august.
So
can
I
get
someone
to
give
me
a
motion,
so
we
can
vote
on
having
the
retreat
in.
D
D
People
in
similar
neighborhoods
can
come
together.
Maybe
if
we
need
a
couple
of
city
departments
to
share
a
table
or
tent
working
on
a
flyer,
getting
more
involvement
from
the
people
that
we
initially
sent
out
the
email
to
from
that
80
or
so
neighborhoods
that
were,
we
have
contact
information
for,
for
so
between.
D
D
D
M
Yeah,
I
think
victoria
said
that
she
was
interested
in
kind
of
working
with
me,
she's,
focusing
specifically
on
a
lot
of
the
west
ashwin
neighborhoods,
and
she
was
also
interested
once
you
know.
We
had
like
the
event
site
out
so
publicly
admit
on
facebook,
mary,
and
I
will
work
on
that
and
was
the
flyers
are
finn,
been
approved.
Then
she'll
work
on
trying
to
get
them
out
as.
D
Christina
or
meredith
neighborhoods
neighborhood
meeting
saying
we
want
to
be
involved
and
so
we're
getting
ready
to
launch
the
interest
form
to
all
these
neighborhood
contacts.
To
say,
if
you
want
to
be
involved,
give
us
a
rundown
of
what
you
think
you
might
be
doing
doing
to
make
sure
it's
applicable,
useful
adds
value
to
the
festival,
meets
its
goals
and
objectives.
M
Expound
on
so
there
is
a
specific
email
address
just
for
the
festival,
it's
just
festival
of
new
roads
at
gmail.com.
So
if
you
guys
were
to
class
anybody
who
has
any
questions
or
has
any
interest
in
all,
you
could
just
give
them
that
email
address
and
we
all
have
access
to
that.
So
anybody
can
check
and
see
who's
responding.
I
couldn't
get
the
flyer
up.
The
we
can
print
it
out
before
the
meeting
with
you
is,
can
see
it,
but
you
do
have
have.
M
This
signup
form
is
technically
live
right
now
that
will
do
go
out
this
afternoon
when
we
do
just
follow
up
a
map
to
all
the
contacts,
just
the
neighborhood
contacts
to
start,
which
is
like
the
main
ones.
But
I
know
that
we
had
different
new
mail
addresses
that
weren't
necessarily
the
points
of
contact,
so
those
I
feel
like
that
would
be
more
personalized
email,
email.
As
a
group
of
the
generic,
we
gave
them
a
tip
deadline
of
july
31st.
Obviously,
no
one
is
holding
to
that
deadline
because
we
can
extended
want
to
sew.
M
M
D
How
I
because
we
know
like
initially
when
we
send
out
the
email
saying
here's
the
day,
we'll
get
in
touch
with
you
later
about
it,
you're
interested
in
a
tent.
But
if
you
want
to
be
involved
in
the
planning,
people
contacted
me
and
we
set
this
meeting.
But
if
anybody
that
has-
and
I
know
some
some
neighborhoods
have
contacted
city
status
and
we
want
to
be
involved
as
well.
D
If
you
know
of
anybody-
or
you
have
a
neighborhood
meeting
coming
up-
and
you
want
to
talk
about
that-
will
get
the
flyers
out
as
soon
as
we
can
tell
them
to
go
to
that
to
go
to
their
neighborhood
contact.
Who
got
the
email
about
the
the
interest
form.
So
we
can
put
all
that
in
one
place
and
to
be
able
to
as
a
work
group.
You.
A
D
K
K
It's
possible
that
some
of
the
people
who
maybe
are
the
contact
on
that
list,
it's
not
like
a
very
active
neighborhood.
So
sometimes
you
know
there's
not
necessarily
a
direct
point
of
contact
for
great
for
overall,
but
then
there's
like
oh
well,
maybe
this
person
but
elizabeth.
If
you've
gotten
anyone
who's
said,
you
know
we
have
a
new
person.
M
I
D
Open
is
it
that
we
set
our
objectives
were
to
to
connect
people
from
across
the
city
different
neighborhoods,
to
get
information
to
folks
about,
what's
going
on,
that's
either
from
the
city
or
from
what
a
neighborhood
is
doing.
They've
got
a
particular
project
like
a
resilience
guard
in
our
community
garden
and
also
some
fun.
So,
with
those
three
objectives
in
mind,
the
add
an
activity
it
could
be
a
plant
swap,
it
could
be
we're
going
to
have
bubbles
for
kids
to
be
here's.
What
we're
doing?
That's
really
cool
all
kinds
of
ideas:
that
okay,
that's.
D
B
A
A
And
as
long
as
you
had
didn't
tell
him,
you
know
just
tell
us
one
thing
you
know
about
when
you
stopped
where
you
stop
in
know,
they
can
get
something
for
that,
because
I
know
the
communities
I
know.
West
asheville
bourke
street
has
a
beautiful
garden,
got
a
piece
guard
and
other
stuff,
and
it
might
be
harvest
time
stuff
like
that,
we
can
do
with
anything
is
prepared
to.
A
D
Child
do
what
y'all
doing
there's
lots
of
great
ideas.
If
any,
I
think,
if
anybody
contacts
us
that
I'm
not
really
sure
what
what
do
you
need.
We
have
lots
of
idea
that
we
could
further
away
way
and
they're
going
to
be
several
just
jotted
down
a
few
meredith
that
you
were
talking
about
at
the
meeting
that
boards
and
commissions
storm
water
services,
water,
fire,
emergency
management,
lots
of
places
where
people
in
neighborhoods
can
get
information
about
city
services,
question-and-answer,
tent.
A
A
A
A
A
A
A
D
D
I
believe
they
welcomes
new
members
that
we
got
an
update
on
asheville,
unpaid,
lucy
crown
came
and
talked
about
the
greenways
and
some
of
the
issues
around
that
natural
surface
versus
the
paved
greed
ways,
because
there
are
the
official
greenways
and
then
there's
the
the
ones
that
are
going
to
be.
I
guess
not
not.
D
Guess
so,
there's
supplemental
to
the
greenways
plan
that
several
of
us
have
been
familiar
with
with
the
gap
plan,
but
they're
also
for
hiking
biking,
runners.
Things
like
that
there
were.
There
were
three
that
or
highlighted
in
particular
the
one
behind
asheville
middle
school
and
the
ywca
and
asked
him
part.
D
That's
a
trail.
That's
not
officially
part
of
the
greenway,
but
it
is
one
that,
as
mentioned
the
azalea
park
trails
and
there's
one
that's
a
duke
on
property
near
the
french
broad
river
park.
So
they
have
the
new
part
of
the
official
greenway
and
then
there's
another
trail.
That
is
a
little
bit
farther
like
the
hill.
Yes,.
D
A
A
J
A
A
A
D
Have
another
meeting
before
that
we
have
to
have
a
lot
more
concrete
details
about
who's
going
to
have
tables
what
we
still
need,
what
kind
of
volunteer
after
the
meeting
on
august
2nd
our
hope
is
that
will
once
we
have
an
f,
what
kind
of
volunteer
needs
we
have
in
terms
of
do.
We
need
somebody
to
be
monitoring
the
bouncy
house.
Do
we
need
somebody
to
help?
If
there's
going
to
be
a,
we
need
musicians
right.
B
N
Asheville
city
council
very
happy
to
be
your
liaison.
I'm
really
glad
to
see
some
new
faces
here
today.
Thank
you
for
your
willingness
to
volunteer
as
advisors
for
the
city
of
asheville
and
all
things
neighborhoods,
two
things
one.
I
used
to
serve
on
the
east-west
asheville,
neighborhood
association,
board
board,
and
so
one
of
the.
N
N
What
are
what
do
our
facilities
look
like
for,
like
community
buildings
and
our
school
buildings
in
our
library,
buildings
that
are
in
our
neighborhoods?
Those
are
kind
of
like
areas
that
I'm
just
offering
as
little
seed
packets
plant
them,
where
you
want
bring
them
to
your
retreat.
If
you
want,
I
just
I
imagine
that
those
are
the
things
that,
instead
of
being
being
reactive
to
you,
might
be
proactive
about
by
getting
into
it
at
the
retreat
could
be
kind
of
fun.
N
New
lester,
so
what
project
shallow
community
say
what
property
oakley
playground
in
sidewalk
project,
vermont
avenue,
sidewalk
construction
and
much
more
so
so
it
is
possible
to
find
all
this
information
about.
What's
coming
up
on
our
consent
agenda,
when
you
go
to
asheville,
nc,
dot-gov
and
click
on
government,
and
these
are
the
kinds
of
things
that
would
be
really
awesome
to
share
and
do
outreach
and
by
doing
outreach,
it
definitely
helps
your
neighbors
to
know
that
you
are
a
liaison
to
the
city
city.

That
way,
you
do
such
an
excellent
job,
compiling
upcoming
community
events,
and
it
includes
all
the
neighborhood
association
meetings,
and
it
has
been
so
helpful
to
me
because
when
I
get
the
email
from
dawa
just
go
there
and
say:
oh,
I
can
go
to
the
burton
street
this
week.
I
can
go
to
play
bingo
at
shiloh
right,
and
so
the
reason
I
know
about
these
things
is
because
da
was
putting
together.
This
list
is
the
neighborhood
advisory
committee.
Getting
that.

Your
neighborhoods,
as
you
start
thinking
about
what
you
want
to
cover
in
that
retreat
that
idea,
then
we
can
make
sure
that
we're
bringing
all
the
resources
that
we
have
available
that
could
then
be
shared
with
you
all,
and
that
one
is
certainly
one.
I
mean
that
it
would
not
be
a
problem
at
all
to
just
share
that
out.
I
want
to
give
big
kudos
to
the
team
that
put
together
that
list.
