Description
Backdrop CMS
A
Okay,
you're
broadcasting
needs
empty
chair
morning,
everyone
our
afternoon,
I
suppose,
depending
on
where
you
are
in
the
world.
Thanks
for
joining
the
call
watching,
live
or
watching
this
video.
Afterwards,
we
are
working
on
backdrop
CMS
and
the
main
reason
we're
working
on
backdrop
is
because
there's
a
cost
that
comes
with
change
and
we're
concerned
about
all
of
Drupal
current
community
not
being
able
to
stay
caught
up
with
the
direction
of
tripoli.
A
Most
of
them
will
haven't
looked
at
tripoli,
yet
we're
hoping
that
by
the
time
people
start
to
think
about
what
system
they
want
to
use
in
the
future.
They'll
be
able
to
compare
Drupal,
8
and
back
drop
in
and
make
a
choice
on
their
own
merits,
amounts
of
the
two
projects
and
own
opinions,
and
all
that
good
stuff
and
so
for
backdrop.
A
What
we're
trying
to
do
is
create
a
product
with
Drupal
8,
comparable
features
on
architecture
more
like
drupal
7,
so
the
code
will
look
like
drupal
7
code,
but
the
features
will
look
like
drupal
8
features
and
we're
going
to
include
all
of
the
bug
fixes
that
we're
currently
introduced
into
Drupal
7,
as
well
as
as
many
bug
fixes
as
we
can
or
introduced
into
Drupal
8.
Some
of
those
obviously
have
to
be
fixed
different
ways
with
mr.
A
plate
has
very
different
code
structure,
different
solutions
to
different
problems,
but
we
all
need
to
still
fix
all
the
bugs
we're
also
going
to
try
and
simplify
existing
systems
and
add
new
features
where
we
can
do
that
without
changing
too
many
api's.
So
the
addition
of
new
features
will
be
easier
because
their
new
API
is
opposed
to
changing
old
ap
is
simplifying.
Existing
systems
will
be
really
hard
because
everybody
already
knows
the
systems
that
are
in
Drupal
7
and
changing
them
too.
A
Much
will,
of
course,
cause
too
much
change
for
existing
developers
to
need
to
learn
so
we're
going
to
try
and
do
that
cautiously
and
leaving
in
where
we
can
backwards.
Compatibility
layer
so
that
people
can
run
triple
seven
like
stuff
on
backdrop
where
possible
the
big
asterisk
there.
Not
everything
can
have
that
kind
of
treatment.
A
A
We
want
to
have
a
stable
release
so
that
people
can
start
working
on
building
websites
with
it
evaluating
it
as
a
possible
choice
for
the
future
and
making
sure
that
we
get
can't
rib
moving
along
so
that
you
can
have
comparable
sites,
as
you
can
have
in
triple
seven
right
now
we
are
gonna
have
so
we've
got
in
terms
of
project
progress.
A
We've
got
a
couple
of
things
that
are
really
squawkers,
and
then
we
have
a
lot
of
things
that
are
nice
to
have
that
we
can
work
on
after
the
one
point,
0
release
and
what
we're
working
on
right
now
are
the
back
ports
of
features
and
bug
fixes
the
line
to
Drupal
8
cross
ports.
It
features
and
bug
poor
support.
These
stairs
and
bug
fixes
that
went
into
Drupal,
7
and
then
Drupal
security
updates.
Those
are
definitely
released.
Lockers
for
us
and
we're
doing
pretty
well.
A
Andy
has
been
doing
a
bunch
of
poor
quests
in
all
of
the
Drupal
7
crafts
ports
I've
been
going
through
and
trying
to
figure
out
some
of
the
trickier
ones
and
getting
those
running
and
there's
a
couple
that
we
tried
to
integrate
and
then
Nate
said.
No.
We
don't
want
this
done
this
way,
we're
gonna,
do
it
differently
in
back,
japen
has
mixed
them,
which
is
good,
because
that
means
my
failing
tests
won't
be
quite
as
a
painful
again
through
and
then
yeah.
A
A
We
need
to
get
into
backdrop
as
well,
so
I'm
anxious
to
start
looking
that
drew
platelets
which
will
make
me
really
excited
and
then
also
we
have
the
whole
theme
system
cleanup
stuff,
which
again
we
can't
change
too
much,
because
we
want
on
Drupal
7
at
least
modules
that
provide
theme
implemented
implementations
to
be
able
to
do
it
in
the
same
way,
but
I
think
there's
a
lot
of
general
cleanup
and
improvements
and
bug
fixes
that
we
can
add
to
so.
Consolidating
template
files
isn't
going
to
affect
modules
very
much,
adding
a
theme
hook.
A
Suggestions
hook
is
going
to
solve,
bugs
that
we
currently
have
so
there's,
definitely
a
bunch
of
stuff
that
we
can
do
on
the
theme
layer
to
make
files
more
approachable
to
front
Enders
and
to
make
things
makes
a
little
bit
more
sense
that
isn't
going
to
involve
too
much
pain,
I'm,
not
sure
how
close
we're
going
to
be
able
to
get
it
to
to
get
a
Drupal
7
theme
to
work
on
a
back
shot
site,
but
ideally
that
would
still
work
as
well.
So
that's
what
we're
shooting
for.
We
also
have
okay.
A
So
let's
go
back
to
config
management,
and
this
is
a
killer
feature
everybody's
going
to
love,
they're
gonna
love
it
in
Tripoli.
If
they're
going
to
love
it
in
backdrop,
we
have
core
in.
We
have
a
meta
issue
with
a
bunch
of
subsystems
that
need
conversion,
subsystems
and
variables,
and
we
need
people
to
work
on
that.
So,
if
you
are
really
interested
in
cm,
I
want
to
see
how
it's
going
to
work
in
a
backdrop
world
you
can
come
take
a
look
at
our
issue.
A
Queue
grab
one
of
those
issues
and
jump
in
and
we
have
views
so
views
is
number
one
downloaded
control
on
Drupal
that
work
we've
got.
It
is
in
poor,
fridge,
herb
late,
it's
in
Korver
backdrop:
we've
got
a
couple
of
subsystems
that
need
to
be
added
for
the
views:
bulk
operations,
implementation,
so
things
like
adding
user
roles.
Neat
aren't
done
yet
I
need
some
help
and
but
other
than
that,
if
you
like
building
views,
we
could
use
to
help
replacing
a
lot
of
the
listing
pages
in
core
with
views
equivalent
version.
A
So
this
is
something
that
views
module
does
out
of
the
box
in
triple
seven.
You
can
replace
the
note
page
you
can
replace
the
term
page
and-
and
we
want
to
provide
the
same
thing
in
backdrop
and
then
get
rid
of
those
pages
that
are
currently
in
there.
That's
what
they've
done
in
Drupal
8.
We
need
to
do
the
same
thing.
A
So
if
you
like,
building
views-
and
you
want
to
play
with
cmi,
this
could
be
a
really
good
place
for
you
to
get
your
feet
wet
to
just
build
of
you
and
you
take
the
config
export
and
include
it
it's
a
little
bit
more
complicated
than
that,
but,
generally
speaking,
it's
pretty
straightforward
and
then
we're
also
working-
and
this
is
the
most
exciting
thing.
We're
working
on
right
now
is
getting
a
new
blocks
and
layout
system.
So
part
of
the
problems
with
the
theme
system
being
really
complicated
are
because
we're
stuck
to
this
layout
system.
A
That's
currently
in
core
that
involves
placing
blocks
onto
a
single
layout
for
all
pages
on
your
site,
and
there
are
a
bunch
of
solutions
and
contribs
that
have
tried
to
get
around
this
problem.
There's
display
sweet,
there's
panels,
there's
you
know
who
knows
how
many
other
solutions
out
there,
because
this
problem
affects
everyone
and
so
I
know
in
true
plate.
They
started
solving
this
problem
really
early
in
the
cycle
and
they
didn't
ever
quite
get
all
the
way
there,
because
there's
so
much
other
stuff.
A
That
needs
more
more
attention,
and
but
we'd
like
to
do
and
backdrop
is
solve
this
problem
and
we've
been
working
on
it
with
a
bunch
of
wireframes
and
then
designed
by
at
bali,
on
whose
Jews
Drupal
usability
expert
and
we're,
starting
with
the
panels
module
code
base,
so
we're
trying
to
take
a
a
simplified
version
of
panels.
If
you
will
and
put
it
into
backdrop
with
a
slicker
user
interface
over
the
top
of
it.
So
me
I
know
you've
been
doing
a
lot
of
work,
unboxing
layout
stuff.
Lately.
B
So
so
the
blocks
and
layouts
issue,
I
think,
is
86.
I've
been
posting
updates
there,
but
right
now,
there's
no
there's
done
publicly
available
code,
but
yeah
we're
we're
creating
a
new
module
called
layout.
That
is
essentially
a
panel,
so
the
different
UI.
So
I'm
trying
to
take
all
of
the
existing
panels
plugins,
so
the
ones
for
contexts
and
arguments
and
selection
criteria
and
content
types
and
all
of
those
things
and
put
the
the
API
with
the
basic
underlying
concepts,
/
22
backdrop,
and
it's
going
really
well.
B
We've
got
the
only
the
basics
of
the
UI
in
place.
Right
now,
working
inside
a
backdrop
itself,
adding
a
layout
editing,
a
layout
saving
a
layout
cloning,
a
layout
and
those
things,
but
actually
as
like
I
had
it
doesn't
actually
do
anything.
Yet
it's
mostly
just
an
admin
interface
that
saves
a
bunch
of
config
files,
but
but
it's
going
really
really
good
and
I
think
if
we
can
continue
putting
in
a
good,
solid
effort
into
it,
I
think
that
we
can
get
like
it
functionally
working
here
and
in
probably
a
couple
of
weeks.
B
B
It's
pretty
exciting.
It's
it's
nice
to
even
just
have
panels
like
the
functionality
of
panels
like
the
idea
of
having
the
functionality
of
panels
without
the
UI
of
panels
is
really
exciting.
To
me,.
A
Too,
all
right,
so
it
sounds
like
that
is
kind
of
neck-deep
in
and
getting
done
right
now.
But
if
anyone
wants
to
see
what
we're
aiming
towards
there's
a
video
on
Bowie
on
site
we've
been
working
from,
you
can
look
at
all
that
should
be
linked
in
that
issue
with
issue
86
and
there's
a
bunch
of
other
little
or
stuff.
We
want
to
work
on
I
mentioned
earlier
user
experience
improvements,
it
meant
to
work
on
a
Drupal
8
site
yesterday,
and
there
are
some
big
kind
of
improvements.
A
We
need
to
get
into
backdrop
to
compete
with
them
and
then
there's
a
lot
of
really
weird
stuff
going
on
in
the
interface
that
needs
to
be
fixed
to
some
of
it
is
residual
from
triple
seven
that
we
can
fix
than
some
of
it
is
new
and
strange
teas,
which
I
think
it
would
be
good
to
kind
of
go
over
the
whole
thing
with
a
fine-tooth
comb
and
say
like
what
is
the
I
experience
if
this
actually
use
it?
A
We
need
one
in
backdrop
and
the
way
it's
done,
decor
is
not
necessarily
what
you
would
expect
in
Drupal
8,
so
I
think
we
can
do
a
little
improvement
on
on
that
in
backdrop
and
we
need
a
new
ministration
theme,
there's
a
whole
bunch
of
really
great
changes
that
have
happened
to
the
7
theme,
injured,
late
and
I.
Think
we
need
to
kind
of
look
at
the
things
that
they've
done
and
say
like
wow.
This
is
really
much
better.
We
should
take
this
versus.
You
know
this
is
a
little
weird.
A
Maybe
we
should
just
leave
that
alone.
The
no
dad
edit
form
is
huge.
If
we're
going
to
have
a
layout
system
in,
we
can
have
our
own
two
column
layout,
for
the
edit
form.
I
think
will
be
great,
but
we're
going
to
need
to
figure
out
how
to
how
to
get
all
those
changes
and
also
a
better
tool.
Bar
drupal
8
has
a
responsive,
toolbar
I'm,
not
necessarily
sara
lee
sure
I
like
the
way
it
works,
but
I
like
the
idea
behind
it,
so
we
need
to
figure
out.
A
Do
we
just
put
your
Boyd's
in?
Do
we
get
something
else?
That's
comparable,
or
do
we
leave
it
alone,
I
think
living
alone
is
probably
not
our
best
option,
but
we
need
to
figure
out
what
to
do
with
that
and
we
need
to
do
some
terminology
updates.
I
noticed
there's
a
lot
of
stuff
in
Drupal
8
that
has
been
changed
slightly
and
we
should
kind
of
look
at
that
and
say
like
yeah.
This
is
a
significant
improvement
include
that
patch.
This
is
kind
of
a
weird
change.
A
I,
don't
really
understand
why,
let's
look
into
it
more
and
then
we
can
make
some
of
our
own
changes
to
and
say
what
would
help
people
make
more
sense
of
our
system
and
see
if
there's
anything
thats,
you
know
really
different
that
we're
doing
then
gurgling.
So
we
can
try
and
find
a
way
to
name
it
differently.
Some
people
don't
get
confused.
A
We
also
need
a
dialogue
system.
This
is
a
you
know,
little
pop-ups,
and
we
need
it
for
and
we're
going
to
need
it
for
the
blocks
and
layouts
things
so
that
you
can
configure
your
blocks
and
layouts
we're
going
to
need
for
views
views.
Obviously
it's
a
lot
of
popping
up
going
on
we're
going
to
need
it
for
WYSIWYG.
If
you
want
to
do
things
like
insert
an
image,
we're
going
to
be
a
little
pop-up
thing
there
too,
until
we
need
some
someone
to
work
on
that
as
well.
A
We
already
have
some
ideas
as
to
how
we
want
to
have
that
happen.
We
just
need
to
get
it
done
and
then
there's
a
whole
bunch
of
little
tiny
things
too,
and
that
will
notice,
as
we
start
actually
using
it
more
that
could
be
improved
in
in
one
way
or
another,
and
it
would
be
good
to
have
someone
because
kind
of
kind
of
keep
their
eye
on
usability
in
general
and
keep
a
list
of
you
know.
This
is
all
the
stuff
we
need
to
work
on,
so
we
can
prioritize.
A
You
know
what
should
be
a
release:
locker
versus
all
the
other
stuff
that
we
can
do
after
the
launch,
because
there
will
be
a
room
for
improvement
after
one
point
it
was
out
as
well
and
then
the
other
thing
I
talked
about
a
little
bit
already
theme
system.
Cleanup
is
currently
blocked
by
getting
all
of
the
Drupal
7
cross.
Ports
in,
but
I
think
there's
a
lot
of
stuff.
A
We
can
do
to
make
your
friend
and
experience
better,
even
working
within
the
PHP
template
engine,
which
is
why
Rosie
now
so
we're
going
to
leave
everything
the
same.
We're
just
gonna
give
everything
an
update,
make
it
make
more
sense.
Oh,
so
we
have
also
been
working
on
beyond
just
the
project.
We've
been
working
on
the
website
for
the
project
as
well,
so
backdrop
CMS
org
is
underway.
We've
done
a
bunch
of
content
strategy.
Last
week
we
started
on
wire
frames.
A
We've
got
another
meeting
today
to
get
more
wire
frames
done
and
we're
going
to
be
aiming
for
a
launch
of
April
first
for
our
site,
initially
it'll.
Just
be
like
three
pages
it'll
just
say
what
backdrop
is
any
information
people
need
to
know
about.
You
know,
reading
our
handbook
or
getting
getting
involved
in
contributing
how
you
know
how
we're
progressing
on
stuff.
All
the
information
will
be
up
there
and
then
we'll
be
able
to
add
new
features
as
we
go.
A
A
When
are
we
getting
the
website
answer
is
April
first,
so
I
think
we're
actually
making
pretty
good
progress
on
that
I'm
really
excited
about
getting
a
brand
to
getting
a
logo
and,
getting
you
know,
all
the
stuff
that
goes
along
with
having
an
identity,
so
yeah
we'll
keep
going
on
that
we
often
need
an
update
server.
This
is
something
that
I'll.
Let
us
know
if
our
site
is
up
to
date
or
not.
A
If
anyone
wants
to
work
on
an
update
server,
we
could
use
some
help
with
that
and
in
line
with
that,
we're
also
going
to
need
to
get
hub
service.
So
we're
going
to
need
people
to
be
able
to
register
their
stuff
as
being
official
github
projects,
and
then
we
can
pull
them
in
and
show
them
on
our
website.
A
We
might
also
be
able
to
determine
what
versions
there
are
ya
our
update
system,
so
it
all
kind
of
ties
together,
so
we're
going
to
need
some
work
on
that
as
well
and
we're
going
to
need
an
API
site.
This
is
something
that
anyone
can
probably
work
on
right
now.
I
think
will
initially
build
it
in
Drupal
7
and
then
move
it
over
to
backdrop.
As
soon
as
backdrop
is
released,
we
need
a
place
to
put
our
change
records
sooner
rather
than
later.
A
So
if
anyone
wants
to
just
throw
up
with
Drupal
7
site,
add
a
Content
time
for
a
change
record
and
then
ideally
go
through
our
issue:
queue
of
things
that
need
change,
record.
Okay,
a
pretty
easy
task
for
anyone.
Who's
familiar
with
Drupal
just
help
us
out
in
that
area,
and
then
we've
got
a
bunch
of
friends
going
on
every
Thursday.
A
After
this
call,
you
can
meet
us
in
our
IRC
channel,
which
is
town
backdrop
and
help
us
work
through
some
of
these
issues
that
we've
got
going
on,
which
I
think
it's
particularly
interesting
to
you
a
lot
of
snow
and
then
we've
got
a
couple
of
other
things.
Coming
up
to
triple.
Camp
Mexico
is
on
the
horizon.
We
might
be
able
to
do
a
sprint
there
if
people
are
open
to
that
and
then
Drupal
corn
camp
later
this
summer
should
be
right
around
the
time
of
backdrops
release.
A
So
hopefully
we'll
do
a
sprint
there
to
see.
Have
you
booked
feeling
about
it
and
what
kind
of
changes
they
want
either
last
minute
or
just
after
the
release,
depending
on
how
things
are
going
and
we
should
get
a
date
for
an
actual
release
up
to
and
we'll
know
in
a
couple
weeks
here,
whether
that'll
be
before
after
I
release
and
other
things
that
are
going
on.
There
are
a
lot
of
drupal
camps.
A
Coming
up
and
if
anyone
is
interested
in
kind
of
going
out
there
and
talking
to
people
about
backdrop
that
will
be
really
great,
it
is
to
obviously
be
done
carefully.
There's
a
lot
of
feathers
to
be
ruffled
in
the
community
and
I.
Think
the
most
important
thing
is
just
to
kind
of
set
the
record
straight
on.
Why
we're
doing
this?
We're
not
mad
at
your
pool?
A
We
just
think
there
needs
to
be
options
for
everyone
in
the
future
and
right
now
there
are
a
bunch
of
people
who
aren't
feeling
like
drupal
8
is
a
viable
option
for
them
in
the
future,
and
so
for
them.
We
would
like
to
do
backdrop.
It's
kind
of
a
not
just
long-term
support
for
Drupal
7,
but
actually
committed
to
improvements,
which
is
something
that
is
not
not
promise
for
Drupal
7.
A
So
it's
all
the
improvements
you
want
in
terms
of
features
that
you
get
from
Drupal
8,
but
it's
only
would
you
understand
right
that
this
crazy
Drupal
thing
we
speak
and
I
think
that
that
needs
to
be
an
option
for
people
in
the
future,
as
well
as
what
your
plea
offers,
which
is
all
of
the
features
you
want
in
a
new
language
which
some
people
are
going
to
need
to
learn
and
some
people
are
just
going
to
get
it'll
be
fine,
but
everybody
needs
an
option.
Everybody
needs
that
choice.
A
So
we
are
here
to
give
people
a
choice
and
it's
not
it's
not
a
because
angry.
It's
just
because
you
know
we
have
compassion
for
the
people
who
are
worried
about
the
future
and
we're
trying
to
make
them
options,
so
they
can
choose.
So
if
you
wanna
help
us
spread
really
positive
message
about
what
backtracked
is
you
don't
need
to
give
a
session?
You
can
just
talk
to
people
in
the
hallway.
If
you
want
to
give
a
session,
we
can
help
you
out
with
material
or
anything
like
that.
A
So
upcoming
list
of
events
is
in
our
weekly
agenda.
I
guess
we
don't
need
to
go
through
all
of
them
right
now,
but
I
will
post
a
link
to
the
agenda
on
the
google
page
again.
I
did
that
last
week.
I
think
that's
a
good
idea
to
do
that
each
week.
A
So
is
there
anything
else
that
we
should
talk
about?
Anyone
here
have
any
questions.
B
A
It
should
have
been
surprised
by
that
and
so
probably
have
a
lot
of
hard
questions
to
answer
and
a
lot
of
my
favorite
people
are
gonna,
be
upset
with
me,
but
I
think
it'll
be
good
to
just
go
talk
about
it
and
tell
people
that
you
know
it's
not
what
they
fear.
It's
what
they
hope
and
I'm
excited
about
that
other
things
going
on.
B
Earl
has
been
super
helpful,
are
0
miles
and
actually
like
providing
answers
and
reasons
for
the
way
things
are.
So
it's
great
to
have
him
just
kind
of
hanging
around
just
to
answer
questions
I
mean
he's
too
busy
to
do
just
about
anything
these
days.
He's
writing
a
book
currently
dad
not
a
Drupal
book
like
a
novel
so
but
he's
been
real
helpful,
pushing
things
forward.
